A yawn escaped from the cat girl's lips as the family came upon the home of Luminous Rose. They were all new to Fiore, but they had heard that Luminous Rose was probably the best place that the three of them could visit. The quaint, falling petals fluttered around them as they began making their way to the door.

"I wonder how many people here it'll be fun to mess with," Astraia said, chuckling mildly to herself.

"Probably enough to make sure that we can have plenty of fun," Talia answered.

"And make a bunch of friends with humans!" Mei chipperly added.

"I mean of course we want to do that. Much better to do it here than back in our homeland."

"Still a bit sad that we had to leave all of our friends from back home but oh well! More places to travel now!" A cute laugh escaped from Mei's smiling lips as she opened the door to see the inside. "Hello humans! And hello non humans too! We wanna join Luminous Rose!"

Talia smiled at seeing Mei's tail already seemingly reaching critical speeds. "Yeah, pretty much. Hope you don't mind if we make a little bit of trouble around here. Just a thing our family likes doing." Talia looked around to see where the biggest troublemaker of them all, their adoptive daughter Astraia, went, only for her to be nowhere to be found. "Be on the look out for a rabbit girl, by the way. Blue hair, white ears, basically my height, probably trying to pull someone's chair out from under them."

"That'd be funny to see!" Mei said with a laugh. "But also there's a lot better ways to make friends and to make people happy!" As if to prove her point, she gave a wide smile to the entire room, not even caring how many people may have been there.

Talia sighed. "Yeah, what Mei said. I apologize if we're messing some things up. I'm sure there's a lot of busyness going on around here that we just ruined but oh well. Can't win all of 'em, I guess."

Astraia, of course, had already made her way elsewhere around the room, trying to find a spot to enact her scheme. She had brought a few firecrackers from home and was hoping that they could be more than enough to at least spook someone. She always enjoyed the reactions of other people, and that was part of the reason she enjoyed her schemes so much. She still was not the stealthiest of rabbits, by no means, but she still went around in the attempt to find somewhere to toss a few firecrackers to get a good reaction. She knew that at least Mom would enjoy beginning things with a bang in the prank department, literally and figuratively, and that Mama would be more than happy to try to cheer people up if they reacted poorly to her firecrackers. In the end, though, so long as she got a reaction somewhere, she would be content with this result nonetheless. And so, as the first people began to approach her mothers, Astraia would sit and wait, ready to pounce on whoever would be so unsuspecting as to fall into her trap.

Lyra Karant
Hey, We’re Opening This Door!

Let’s absolutely get the first and most important part out of the way: Three was the magical number of Luminous Rose. Those who disagree are absolutely ignoring the evidence that was before them. At this point, it’s empirical; things coming in threes are very numerically superior, and there’s probably something about triplicate magic being very important. You know, power of three or whatever. And, sure, roses typically had five petals, but we also don’t have quintuplets or whatever running around here. Take the three metaphors, and run with it. We’re using it and that’s final.

So, Lyra knew that by the sheer fact that the grand hall had a number of voices outside it that there were newcomers to the guild turning up. Well, there was this thing I guess, when it was kind of easy for a Slayer to hear things. Three voices, very loud outside the door to the grand hall, were something you didn’t just miss. And, as the new kid (or one of them), it ended up being that the newbies tended to be around the place. Besides, brand new C-rank mage coming through and all. This was a good day to be alive.

Needless to say, the first thing the Erynel sisters were met with behind the opening doors of the Grand Hall of Legends was the pink-haired girl in red jacket and tie, looking at them very expectantly.

”Hi! Welcome to the Grand Hall of Luminous Rose! What can we do for you today?”

The voice was bounding and vibrant, full of life and energy; Lyra was always actually very happy for new people to turn up for the sheer fact it meant new friends.

Can we force the newbies to be friends?

No, Lyra, you can not. You cannot and will not force people to be your friends. The voice in Lyra’s head was exceptionally specific on that point.

Boo. Fun police.

Regardless, Lyra stepped back to allow the sisters entry into the Hall, so that they could see its golden splendour for themselves. Statues of the greatest members of the Rose lined the hall, so that all could see them in their mighty glory. Would they all be up there one day? Well, if you were here, you certainly wanted to be. Time would tell.

Talia gave a courteous smile to the girl that approached them. "Hello, hello! We were just in the area and we wanted to join. Well, I mean the reason we were in the area was to join too, so..." The cat girl shrugged. "Eh, potato potahto. Don't worry about it. My name's Talia Erynel. This is my wife, Mei."

"Hello!" Mei chirped, her tail wagging a mile a minute. "Let's be best friends! Well, maybe not BEST friends 'cuz that's Tali. But let's be super uber duper good friends!"

Talia chuckled a bit at her wife's energy. "Somewhere around here there's a girl. A bit shorter than me, long white dress, big bunny ears? She already ran off somewhere, dunno where. Her name's Astraia. She's our daughter." She waited a few moments to see if the girl had any weird reactions. "Adopted daughter, in case you were wondering. Dog plus cat doesn't equal rabbit. Plus there's other things that are-"

Mei whacked Talia upside the head. "No! Don't weird out the new friend with lewd stuff!"

"You didn't tell me to stop being lewd last night."

Mei gave a few teasing punches to Talia's side, causing the more mature parent to giggle.

"EWWWWW!" Astraia's voice called out, an obvious, over the top gagging noise coming from her direction. The small girl climbed out from underneath a few tables behind the incumbent member of Luminous Rose, a disgusted look on her face. "That's gross! I don't want to hear about my parents being lewd!"

"We only talk about it because you hate it."

"We do?"

"I do. You don't say anything lewd. You're no fun like that."

Mei's tail stopped wagging and she put on her angriest face. "I'm super fun!"

Talia snickered a bit before producing a carrot from the pocket of her hoodie. "Get over here, Astraia. We gotta meet people. Lame, I know." Astraia quickly ran up to get the carrot, before Talia grabbed a rice ball from her pocket as well. "Anyways, good to meet you. I hope you have a lot of food. We might not look like it, but we eat probably way too much."

Lyra Karant
Hey, We’re Opening This Door!

Whoooo. That was one hell of an introduction. And an absolute lot to take in, which was sufficient to rock Lyra. She was normally so good with people, but wow, they were very up-front and in your face about who they were. Well, it wasn't like that was a bad thing at all, however... The way they interacted was certainly different. That was a choice word for it, all things considered. It was certainly written on her face with an awkward smile that she wasn't entirely sure how to handle this.

Well. No point complaining about it, considering the situation. It was nice to just have some new faces around the place.

"Well, I can say the food here is definitely very good," Lyra finally had the ability to say when it was probably the most normal thing they'd said other than their names. Which, for the sake of being polite, she was going to try and at least do a good job.

"It's nice to meet you, Talia, Mei and Astraia. I'm Lyra. I'm new here too!"

Standing back from them, Lyra swept her arm through the grand hall, indicating everything that was before them. It was... a lot of gold to take in.

"So, I guess we should start walking around until we can call the guild master," the pink-haired girl offered helpfully. "You'll like her. She's very nice. Everyone here is, honestly, but that's one of the perks of being one of the best guilds. I guess I should ask if you had any questions before she comes?"

"Well, there's always the question of what kinds of food..." Talia asked with a smile. "Rice balls?"

"Carrots?"

"Beef?"

"Fish?"

"Tofu?"

"Catnip?"

"Fingers?"

"Cotton Candy?"

"I guess if you're taking orders, I'll have to ask for a menu."

"Are fingers on the menu?"

"I don't imagine so."

"But they're tasty!"

"Mei, you've never actually eaten real fingers. You've bitten some, but-"

"That's basically the same thing!"

"Not really?"

"I'm with Mother on this one."

"Traitors, all of you!"

Talia laughed as Astraia continued to tease her Mom, taking the mantle of responsibility with Lyra. "I'll always apologize for my family being weird. I mean, I'm not going to stop them, but just as a warning, I guess. Anyways, we're pretty much fine with everything. Um... do you have lodgings here at the guild? There's a few hotels nearby, so it's not a big deal if there's not. And if I may just ask - don't worry, we're all in this guild for real - what's the purpose of Luminous Rose? Mei and Astraia just joined because they like the pink, and that's definitely a good reason to join. I just wanna know what else there is." She looked around. "Also I heard Sakura Kisagami is in this guild and Astraia's a huge fan of hers. I think she's bought a few figures of her. All of us are huge fans, but Astraia's one of those fans that you get her concert tickets for her birthday and she says you're the greatest parents ever. I know this from experience. But yeah. Is she in this guild?"

Lyra Karant
Hey, We’re Opening This Door!

These kids certainly seemed like they kenw how to have fun. The fact that they could launch into a food-related tangent with little to no consideration for the people around them was amusing at least and hilarious at best. It was heartwarming to watch, if truth be told. There was a certain strength to having the entire family in the guild for a few reasons, all of which was for their benefit; to be able to learn, nurture and grow as a single unit provided a strength that a single person could not provide on their own. The Faulkners were already proof of that. Another three-person unit would simply serve to bring strength to the guild.

However, to broach the subject of Sakura, Lyra actually had to pause and give thought. There was a certain level of memorisation of fellow members that a new member of the guild was expected to undergo, and also a certain level of idol secrecy that was expected to be maintained. While, yes, these were potential candidates for the guild and once they were actual members the secret would inevitably be out, what was to say that everyone who turned up at the front door would be honest about their intentions to the guild whilst they truly only sought to get closer to those with fame? There was definitely a tightrope to be walked here, but on the other hand, some of these were kids. Not too dissimilar to her own mentors, who were of varying ages and levels of fame themselves, it was a situation where one had to choose their words incredibly carefully in order to ensure that things went okay. In this instance, Lyra was going to have to do a lot of soul-searching in order to answer that particular question - but all things considered, she was getting a fairly good read on all of them and, frankly, it wouldn't hurt this one time. It would in future be an issue brought directly to Desiree, because this would inevitably come up again and again and again. Fame was such a fickle thing that it brought with it the necessity of protecting the identity of others.

"She is," Lyra said with a wink, "but don't tell her it was me that told you. You'll all get a chance to meet her at some point, I'm sure."

A deep breath out. Lyra was entirely glad to change the subject to something else and distract them from that line of questioning.

"As far as purpose goes? Our mission is threefold - strength through knowledge, goodness through kindness, and unity through family. We are proud of our mission statement! It's very simple. As members we're expected to push our limits and improve, to show benevolence and charity to the world, and show solidarity with one another when times are tough. I guarantee you every single person here will drop whatever they're doing for you if you just ask."
