Well, the city sure was big and weird. A place without magic. Who would have guessed. Man, he'd better do this shit quick before that place's influence ended up killing him. Turns out stepping in a magic dead zone as a werewolf is the same as placing a human next to a radioactive plant. Fun times are not included in the offer.

So as much as the place intrigued him, there was no way he would be able to stick around too much to find some fun stuff to do in a place without magic. He was just there to get the weird contraption people talked about all the time. iLac or something was it called? Maybe. Honestly, he could just take one from someone off the street, but hey, if they were giving that stuff up for free, why would he need to bother to mug people?

One thing was for sure though, he had no intention to wait in a line. Man, lines are so booooringgg. There's nothing worse than wasting you life stading in a place for hours on end just to move a few centimeters in one direction and then wait again. He was not completely impatient, but his limit on time wasted was very very short.

Luckily, the factory seemed big enough to handle the flow of customers and non customers just fine. How nice of them to put up directions signs too. He would not really get lost considering his phenomenal senses and general orienteering skills, but he could at least appreciate someone making his life easier.

So, that was it then. Just a quick tour of the facility and he was well on his way home with that weird ilac thing in his pocket. The premise of it sounded good though. The whole communication thing. While he had seen far cooler stuff like the Jade Falcons in action, the promise of instant messaging sure would make any mage's mouth water. Hell, he was two hundred percent sure techo geeks and all those weird technopeople obsessed with zeroes and ones would definitely go nuts for that thing. Uh, apparently it had a mana tracker and a vitality reader. How even could that thing measure stuff like that was beyond him. A device created by non magic dudes in a non magic place able to get a read on all the blimy whimey magicky stuff.

Gotta give credit where credit was due. This little thing was pretty ingenious indeed. Well then, enough theorizing. He needed to be home before the sun dipped below the horizon. He could have his own fun with the iLac once he was back at his place. First, he would skim over the instruction manual, then he would test the thing's applications for a little while. He wondered if the thing was going to be sturdy enough to handle around or safely drop. Hell, could it even be used in battle? All things that he would have to test in due time. Only time would tell.
