Ebony's D ------> C Exam

Leonard was relieved to put Ebony back to her happy state as should be. And with a sigh he stood as he prepared to go out of the house and start. When he was about to take his few first steps. Ebony asked him two things and so replied to them both. "Nice one Ebony." a grin appeared on his face that was kind of a big smile.

Then Ebony asked her about the thing on the corner. It was dull and freakishly long. It resembled a blade and Leonard smiled at the thought of remembering what it was. With a sigh Leonard replied in a calm tone, the kind when people reminisce"That there is an old sword that my teacher gave me. It's called Dragonbane." the view would then shift to the old dull weapon however it's blade was still fine but not as sharp as it used to be. With a slight giggle he headed out with a hand gesture signaling Ebony to follow him.

When they were at the green plains in front of his home he turned around the same time he drew out a blade and asked Ebony "Well Ebony, ready for your Rank Up Exam?!"

To see Ebony stand up amazed Leonard. He didn't just see a beaten up mage hanging on, he saw a powerful being rising from the ashes: a phoenix if you will. However, Leonard's admiration of her got the better of him as he paid little attention to what Ebony did next.

As the Cosmic Mage stretched out her hand near his body which was surprisingly a spell. Fortunately, Leonard saw it initialize so he was able to get out of the way by a few inches. But the spell would still hit him at his side, leaving a large wound the same size as the spell's height. It sent him bending down and his right arm covering the wound. However, Ebony would not be done there as she launched another massive disk-shaped spell that was launched towards him. For a spell like that, he needed a miracle. It was of cosmic origin and none of her elemental weapons will do a great job defending against that. It was such a case that cosmic was needed against cosmic, and so stretching his left hand, a huge brilliance of dancing light surrounded it and emerge a brilliant and angelic sword. "Archangel! Save me with you grace!" he whispered as he swung the sword to meet the incoming disk.

When they came into contact, there was a sparkle of light as the two forces clashed, but in the end Archangel's saving grace prevailed and cancelled the spell out. For a moment, Leonard panted and withdrew the Archangel, picking up the Sky Sword again using his telekinesis which only work with his swords.

The Heart of the Sky Dragon had the ability to heal wounds and so, Leonard used it to heal himself. Once he had healed himself, he walked over to Ebony properly pointing the blade at her to heal her of her injuries as well. As he got closer, Ebony would be able to see that proud fatherly look combined with that smile upon his face. Honestly, if you have only seen him now you wouldn't think that he was on a murderous drive just moments ago. Everything was peaceful once again, even his voice returned to that soft comfortable one when he said "It seems you have passed Ebony. You have shown me your strength and determination, paired with your indomitable will to fight for those you cherish. Something power cannot help you gain. What I seek from this test is these values and not solely on your power. For power can be gained by simple means." after he had said this, he was directly in front of Ebony and he had his blade drawn back to his pocket space.

In this moment, he sighed and hugged Ebony and into her ear, he whispered "Congratulations, Ebony. You are now C - Rank."
