The Future Isn't Always Set In Stone.
Gaia takes a deep breath as she runs a hand through her hair. She has been reading one of her books majority of the day, and decided she needed to do something with herself besides reading for the day. Noya was resting on her neck calmly while Ryaqold's staff was resting next to her at the table she sat at. She grabbed her staff and walked up to the job board in the guild hall, trying to decide what job she wanted to do. She glances behind her and thinks of whom she should take on a job with her, since going alone was rather boring, even with Noya with her. She takes a simple job off of the board and bites her bottom lip. She goes to find Kite, and when she does, she approaches him. "Hello, Kite." She muses sweetly to him. "I was thinking... could we take a couple new members with us on a job? I was thinking Karasuki... and possibly Casander..." She glances down at the paper she held, then holds it up. "It's a simple and sweet job, just escorting someone on a train in Magnolia, and making sure they stay on it." She muses. She runs a hand through her hair and smiles. "I feel it should be relaxing, why don't we go on it? I'm gonna go ask the other two, and meet you guys in Ace of Spades to take a carriage or something. I'll meet you down in Ace of Spades if you want to join me, or go with me to there." She beams before she had skipped off to find Casander and Karasuki to relay basically the same thing to each of them before she made her way down to Ace of Spades to wait for them.

When they all arrived, if they agreed to ride with her in the carriage, Gaia had paid for the ride, and they had traveled onto Magnolia. She had played with her tarot cards delicately in her lap as she sat in the vehicle, Noya resting on her lap as she did so. Gaia didn't know why she actually felt excited to be doing this job. Maybe because she felt this would be an easy job to be able to read her book on while they did it.

    I
    The Demon King

    ”“
One could usually find one of the Sabertooth Guild Masters in his Airship, Tailspin. This was the ship that belonged to Kite however one of the very rare occasions while being home he wasn’t in his ship, which was where he preferred to be while not on a job. He had instructed EDI his on board AI to instruct anyone looking for him that they could find him in the large Archive located in the massive Yggdrasil. With all of his troublesome paperwork done for the evening he decided to use this free time to train but not his magic or body but his mind. There was a wellspring if information and knowledge stored in the numerous books on each shelf. He had came to the conclusion that he could learn about the worlds connected to Yggdrasil that he had yet to discover. This was to satiate his curiosity as well as serve as a way to be proactive in the case of another situation with the race of Elders that sank his guild hall from the sky. He was reading the book on a realm called Tir Tangire but before he could truly dive into the book he was approached by none other than Gaia who has greeted him. Kite would peer up from his book and a friendly smile would spread across his face. ”Good day Gaia. What can I do you for?“ he asked her before she could reveal what business she had for him. She wanted to go on a job and take two new comers, Karasuki and Casander on the train escort job that he had posted on the board himself.

Standing from his desk shortly after Gaia left for the Ace of Spades, Kite went back to his ship to grab Rose, his hand cannon. ”Nothing is ever simple or sweet.“ he was prepared for a fight in case there was one. ”Time for some fun.“ he left and found Gaia along with the other two and greeted them all, ”Karasuki and Casander it’s nice to finally meet the two of you. “ he gave a smile to them both but his face grew a bit more serious. ”We have a simple task but let’s keep ourselves open to possible trouble.“ Kite would board the carriage. Once everyone was settled in he would look at Gaia, ”Since this was your idea I’m gonna put you in charge today.“ he smirked. ”Have fun with it.“

Post by Karasuki 7th October 2018, 7:57 am

"Yer goin' on a job with one o' the aces," Geralt reminded as Karasuki dressed and readied herself to leave. She had a small over the shoulder bag and had removed her bottle of water in order to place in it the third book. "Yes, yes, I know. So what?" Karasuki prompted as she twisted the book, trying to slide it in long ways since it was too thick a book to go in on its side. "So what if ye get caught?" "Then you better just stay in my head." "Well ye can't honestly jus' read the whole time.""Sure I can.""I'm a pirate king and I can tell ye, that's not professional. Ye wouldn't last a day on my ship.." Finally after several more minutes of arguing Karasuki tossed her third book back onto the table and slammed her hand on it angrily. She had a sharp temper when things didn't go her way. "All right," She conceded. "I won't take the third book. And I am ordering you to keep your mouth shut this job!" Geralt rolled and stretched inside of her mind. "Well, you ordering me only makes me want to. We shall see, lass."

Karasuki slipped her water bottle back into the bag and secured it with a belt-like clasp. Then the violet-haired woman sauntered over to the mirror one last time. A job with Gaia, an ace: it was an opportunity to prove herself to the woman and maybe she would finally grow. She could watch Gaia and perhaps learn how to be a better mage herself. It was going to be fine, just her and Gaia, escorting someone on a train. No big deal. She felt flattered even that one of the aces would ask her. In her reflection, she studied her expression first; she looked moody but she always did when Geralt was pestering her. She exhaled slowly and tried on a smile. It looked much better but she heard Geralt chuckling and it shifted back into an unsuppressed scowl. Next, she checked her attire out. Karasuki wore classy high waisted black shorts which stopped at her thighs. Thin black suspenders raced up the front, over her chest, over her shoulders, and then down her back like a tiny road. A crinkled and pressed white collared shirt was slipped neatly into the waistband of the shorts and a thin black ribbon tied the top of her shirt together in a cute bow. She thought she looked professional even if Geralt didn't. And what did she care what he thought of her clothing, anyway? He was a pirate from an old storybook!

Karasuki slung the leather bag over her shoulder and hastened out to the Ace of Spades. She saw Gaia boarding the carriage and was quick to clamber in behind her. "Sorry, I hope I'm not too late, Miss Sabin." Her eyes widened to the size of near golf balls as she stepped into the carriage and took her seat. She had unwittingly placed herself across from a tall dark-haired man she had only seen a couple times before within the guild. She knew who he was by his face, however: Kite Wilhelm, the guild leader. He greeted her and she stared into his eyes wordless. Geralt laughed boisterously within her head and she found she was at a lost for words. After a moment, she remembered her manners and bowed just her head, lifting her brown eyes to meet his once more. "Pleasure to meet you too, sir. I hadn't known you would join us." She swallowed hard glancing over at Gaia and then kept her mouth shut. Kite was right when he said a job was to be taken seriously, after all. She didn't make the connection that it looked like she was caught off guard and blamed Gaia, or that the way she stared and awkwardly responded could have made it seem like she was unhappy to see the leader of the guild. Inexperience was a detriment to the young woman and she ran a hand over the bag upon her lap. Books were usually where the stayed, where she belonged, and right now instead of the magic to summon characters out, she wished for the hundredth time that she could just be reverse summoned into a novel. Inside the carriage she thought to herself, I should have brought that third book.

Unfortunately, down in Ace of Spades, the one Kite assumed was Casander, was just a passerbyer that was quickly chattering with Gaia. They had given their respects to Kite before they had to go off and do what they were doing before. Gaia smiles to Kite and nods her head to him in greeting. She followed him into the carriage and looked over at Karasuki as she came in behind her. "Oh! You're not late! We haven't even left yet. We're just waiting on one other possibly to join us..." She frowns as she actually wasn't seeing Casander anywhere. Ten minutes had passed, and Gaia glanced to her iLac. "Hopefully he'll show up at our destination..." She murmurs before the driver started to go. She glanced over at Karasuki, and blinked a moment. "Oh! Did I not say! Oh... Usually I don't do these things..." She put a finger on her chin, and huffs. "Apologies, I thought I told you that we'd be doing this job with at least Kite, and that I was inviting Casander along with us." She says nervously. She glances over to Kite, and her eyes grew a little wide for a moment when he told her she was in charge, then she grinned as well. "I hope to do well by your books as well then." She nods as they were on their way.

In Magnolia, Gaia gets off of the carriage and pulls out the paper once more. "We have to get to the train station to meet the clients." She informed the two as she slowly walked to the station. The tarot mage looked around for a moment before Noya perked her head up in the direction of the other side of the station, where a man was crying and frantically trying to run away, but was being held back by a woman. "You're getting on the train, Oliver! I'm not saying this again!" The woman shouts at him. Gaia clears her throat, and looks back. "I think there's our clients." As the girl made her way over to the couple, she smiles softly. "Hello, I'm Gaia Sabin, a mage of Sabertooth, and this is Kite Wilhelm, and Karasuki Kitsuharu. They're also mages of Sabertooth with me. Would you happen-" "Yes! You finally showed up! I am the one who posted the job! I need you to get my husband on the train ASAP! He's deathly afraid for no reason. I need you to make sure he stays on the train no matter what." She says as she was holding his wrist in a death grip basically. "Just make sure he's not injured... he needs to look his best for the presentation."

Gaia holds up her hand as she nods her head. "We promise to not disrupt his physical looks, or too much." A whistle blows as people were being called to board the train, and Gaia clears her throat. "Kite, would you help bring him onto the train please? I feel you might have less trouble with getting him on." She looks to Karasuki, and raised an eyebrow to see if she had any objections, especially with how the man was desperately trying to get away from his wife right now. If Kite agreed and helped drag the man onto the train, Gaia would help where she could. If Kite didn't, she started dragging him herself. The whole way onto the train, the man was screaming and trying to kick others and trying to not be dragged onto the train, but it proved to be failing him.

    The Demon King

    ”“
Kite had greeted Gaia and the one he assumed to be Cass however it seemed that the person he had greeted was not one of the newcomers that was gonna join them on the mission and while that was a bit of a disappointment he would soon have a remedy for this. Kite’s shifted to the young woman who was the last one to join them. Her wide eyes widened at the site of him and he could see her very soul fidget, it was clear that she wasn’t aware that he was suppose to be there with them. The speculation was confirmed by Gaia who apologized for not explaining that Kite was going to be in their party. He was tempted to be a tease on the matter but it was clear to him that at least for the moment it would be a bit much for the girl. ”You must be Karasuki. It’s nice to meet you officially but please you do not need to be so formal with Sir or Master or any other label. You can just call me Kite.“ he extended his hand out for her to take and shake however if she was too nervous to do so he would just pull back his hand and give her a reassuring smile to show he took no offense at her refusing to return the greeting. ”Don’t sweat it too much Karasuki, this job is pretty much a milk run for us. Especially with Gaia taking the reins her organization compared to my non-existing organization means it should be even easier than that. Don’t let my company ruin the fun for you. Just have a good time.“ The carriage began to move and he couldn’t help but wonder why he didn’t suggest taking Tailspin to Magnolia it would have been faster and more time efficient but at the same time a carriage is much less intimidating than a simple carriage plus it was a nice change he often didn’t go with. ”So Kara what kind of magic do you use?“ he asked looking to keep the carriage ride somewhat less boring and quiet but he was also curious, he always was when it came to his new members and what sort of magic they might be own.

Luckily the carriage ride was much faster than he expected it to be and once they reached Magnolia Gaia was the first to exit and he would allow Karasuki to exit ahead of him and he would exit last behind the two ladies with Gaia stating that they needed to go meet with the client at the train station. Kite looked to see the tracks and followed them over to the building like structure that was in fact the station they were looking for and the train was there waiting for passengers to climb aboard. ”Why do I have the feeling that the locating the train station will be the least stressful part of this gig?“ it wasn’t directed for anyone to answer as it was more of a way to express his minor concerns. Truly it was minor, if they needed to do apply any sort of physical response he was the man for the job. They arrived just in time to witness the argument between a man and women with the woman giving the man the order to get on the train. It was pretty evident that she was the client and when Gaia introduced herself the Kite could practically see the relief wash over the woman. The woman explained that her husband was deathly afraid of trains and was refusing to get on the one that would take him to where he was having a presentation, for what he didn’t know but he had to look presentable. The final whistle to board the train blew and Gaia faced him having a task for him. She asked him to escort the man onto the train speculating that he would have less trouble doing so. ”On it boss.“ he smirked and approached the man, ”So sir we have one of two options here, you board on your own or I carry you.“ his face was stern and masked any emotion from his voice. “Hell No. I am not going on and you CAN’T MAKE ME!” Kite chuckled a bit as he lowered himself, wrapped his arms around the man’s legs and tossed him over his shoulder like a sack of potatoes. ”Hey Karasuki do you mind grabbing his luggage?“ he asked as he took a few steps and climbed up the steps of the train dropping the man into the seat sitting next to him. “YOU BRUTE YOU CANNOT KEEP ME HERE!” Kite’s eyes narrowed ”Sir I suggest you not test my patience. I am being kind at the moment but keep pushing I will be less nice.“ His body heat rose a bit to make the man sweat a bit more than he already was ”So unless you plan on sharing what your presentation is about I wouldn't say another word for the rest of the trip“ Kite looked back to the train car's entrance. ”Gaia I got him secured! ready to go!“

Post by Karasuki 4th January 2019, 9:36 am

Karasuki was grateful when she felt the steady rhythm of the carriage beneath her seat. If they were moving, that was a great sign to the job's beginning. She had remembered the many times she had boarded carriages, trains, and even ships for them to need to wait hours before transport began. It seemed the driver was impatient in this case, but whoever Casander was, well perhaps Karasuki would meet him another day. Karasuki had spaced out just for a moment, hearing Kite's words about ignoring formalities and holding out his hand to shake. She blinked as she realized that she had spent too much time in her head, thinking about stupid modes of travel while her guild master sat before her offering his hand. As his hand was pulled back, Karasuki shot out her own right hand, slipping her lithe fingers into his and giving him an awkwardly stretched handshake. "Not at all, sir. Er- Sorry. Kite. I guess I just didn't realize that the guild leaders went on jobs like these with people like," Karasuki stopped by the end of her sentence and gave her lower lip a short bite. She would have said 'people like me', but then, wasn't she a member of the guild same as anyone else in Sabertooth now?

Karasuki released Kite's hand, having held it too long, once more in her head berating herself for her unfinished and strange reply. She sat back in her seat, the purple waves of hair rolling over her shoulders. She glanced at Gaia and said, "Good organization truly is a skill. You wouldn't believe the people I've met in my shop back in Oak Town." Karasuki smiled an honest sort of smile, thinking fondly of that place. "I'm not put off by working with those without that particular skill set either," She remarked, pointedly looking up at Kite. When the conversation moved along, as the carriage rolled over the roads ahead, Kite had come to ask her about her magic. Karasuki ran her right thumbnail over her left index finger, running it sharply over her skin as her nervous or thoughtful mindset usually had her doing. "Ye going to tell him 'bout me right?" Geralt chimed in her head, "I am quite impressive. Maybe he wouldn't see ye as such an odd duck if ye jus' explained that deep down--" Karasuki cut him off, mentally rebuking him, a faraway look in her brown eyes. "Tell him that deep down, I share a soul with a pirate king? That deep down, there's a man in my head!? Shut up, Geralt." Karasuki looked up at Kite, her eyes refocusing as she politely answered him.

"I am a summoner, like Ryo and Miss Sabin. Except, I don't use cards. I use my books." Karasuki slid her bag over her shoulder and sat it on her lap. She unlatched the top and pulled it open, tilting it to show Kite that there were two books inside. "I don't need to read out of them directly, just quote a line from the book and a character comes to life. I don't have many summons with contracts yet because believe it or not, most characters aren't mentally strong enough to be read out of a book and discover that their whole world is kept between the pages of a story." She laughed at her own joke and closed her bag back up, situating it to her side so she could swing it back to her shoulders later. "Maybe I will get the chance to introduce you to some of my friends today, if it is needed. I don't suppose a train trip is very dangerous though." Geralt gave an eager smirk, "Or maybe he'll meet me and ye can deal with yer big secret bein' outed." Karasuki ignored the voice in her head and looked out the window. When they arrived at Magnolia, Gaia got off first. Karasuki spent an awkward second trying to allow Kite to get off next, but her politeness was overwhelmingly overpowered by his politeness and she ended up sliding out of the carriage next. As Kite got off the carriage himself, Karasuki moved to thank the driver, patting his horse.

She turned about hearing the argument across the way and rose her eyebrows. A woman was struggling to hold a man still as he cried and bemoaned the necessity of getting on a train. She gave a little snort, thinking to herself that they were probably the clients. And moments later, Gaia had said the same thing she thought. Karasuki followed Gaia and Kite to the station and let them handle speaking to them. Gaia introduced them all, but the woman seemed desperate to not be the one holding onto her husband any longer. The poor lady looked annoyed and tired, while the man looked sweaty and frightened. This could be an interesting trip after all. Kite gave the man two choices and then slung him over his shoulder with a smirk, starting to carry him onto the train. Karasuki had to stifle a laugh by looking away. She hurried to grab the single suitcase the man had on the station floor, hoping the man's wife didn't catch her giggling. "I've got it, Kite, no problem!" Her fingers lifted the suitcase and found it to be heavier than she expected. It was not a serious issue, given the strong muscles she had developed carrying enormous stacks of books around the bookstore. The book-mage hurried to keep pace with Kite and boarded behind him as Gaia finished taking care of things with the wife at the station. Karasuki wondered if the three of them needed tickets, but didn't bother to ask about it out loud.

She slid the heavy suitcase beneath the seat in front of her, where Kite and the man freaking out were sitting. She overheard a soft threat emanating from Kite and felt herself the increase in heat. She sat back in her seat, behind the frantic man and diagonally back from Kite. It allowed her the window seat and it allowed her the chance to keep an eye on the man from behind if he tried anything. The man himself was sweating much more and Kara tilted her head slightly as she watched him. Perhaps he was better off asleep, or perhaps one of her summons could reduce his anxiety somehow. He hadn't offered his name, and Karasuki hadn't waited with Gaia outside so she hadn't overheard one. She looked to the suitcase beneath Kite's seat and saw it stamped with a travel tag: Grigore. Had she heard of that name somewhere before? Was he a political advisor? A businessman just starting out? The head of an elite school system? Maybe, she considered, looking at the man quietly, he was an author, creator of worlds. "I think his name could be Grigore, or maybe his surname," Karasuki said to Kite, unsure if it would be helpful to him.

    GAIA SABIN
    The Cards Aren't Always Right
Gaia listened as Kite talked to Karasuki. She smiles softly to the two of them, at least glad they did introductions and whatnot. Gaia chuckles softly at Kite admitted he wasn't organized, covering her mouth a bit. "I sometimes question how you've become a guild master with that lack of organization." She couldn't help but admit aloud. She had glanced over to Karasuki as she cut herself off about the leaders taking jobs with what she was assuming would be certain people. "So long as you don't intentionally bring harm to innocents, or your fellow guild members, or intend to harm the guild, nearly everyone should be willing to go on jobs with one another, even the guild aces and masters." She couldn't help but muse to the girl. She listens as she tells Kite she's a summoner, smirking as she nods a little. "That's quite impressive. I hope to one day see your summons in action." She giggled to her.

At the station, Gaia glanced towards Kite, and simply shrugs her shoulders to his comment. It probably was the less stressful part, but they accepted this job none the less. When she asked Kite to get the man, and her guild master called her 'boss,' she didn't know how to respond. She rubbed the back of her head nervously. "Don't... you're higher in authority than me in the guild... It doesn't feel right, even if I'm leading this job." She mumbles to him. She takes a deep breath as she hears the man start complaining that he wasn't getting on the train, till Kite picked him up. "He most definitely can make you... As per your wife's request." She simply says and nods a quick thank you to Karasuki. "If you need help, please ask." She says to the other girl.

As they were all on the train, Gaia squeezes past Kite to sit down across the guy and smiles ever so sweetly to him. "Mr Niel Grigore, I was hoping to keep this silent from you... But if you don't stay on this train, your wife promises she'd divorce you and make sure the whole town knows of why too..." It was actually a white lie, but Gaia seemed to have a business face on that didn't waver too much. "And Kite, I understand you're trying to keep him on the train... but there are others besides yourself here as well... please..." She waved her hand at her face, already feeling the heat getting to her. "Now... where are we going again? Era? Shouldn't take us too long." She muses to herself as she watches the man across from her. She crosses her arms over her chest as Noya was around her neck. Gaia's burnt sienna iris' bore down on the man as she sat there. Her own, rather calm, threat had quieted the guy down and only had him at least twitching nervously in the seat. With Kite blocking the way for him, he wouldn't be able to move. Soon the train was off, and Gaia snickers softly. This will probably be easy from here on out.

    The Demon King

    ”“
During the introduction between Kite and Karasuki she seemed to be stumbling over her words a bit having some conflict with just referring to him by his natural name instead of the inherited titles that being the guild master gives him. However the pleasantries while pleasant something bothered him, her words while innocent enough he caught the statement. He smiled calmly, ”I might be a guild leader but at the end of the day we both are the same. You, me, Gaia and everyone at the guild we are all the same. We are all mages. There isn’t people like me or people like you. Just people. “ this was why he didn’t like the titles. He didn’t like the idea of being viewed as someone better than his peers, his magic power, skill and experiences might cement that as fact but for him, if there was anything to distinguish between him and his members was he might have been more. Shortly after she addressed Gaia she answered his question regarding her magic which was yet another form of summoning however she used a different variety of summoning in the form of her books. ”Once upon of time Sabertooth was permeated with as many slayers you could imagine but now it seems like we are a beacon for summoners now. How times have changed.“ She further explained that she would summon characters from the stories in the book as if they were really a part of their world. He smiled at the prospect of getting a chance to meet one or two of them if need be. ”Who knows what this job might entail but from what I noticed that this job should be a milk run for the likes of us.“

Of course when he admitted that he wasn’t an organized individual caught Gaia’s attention and had to make a comment to how he became a guild leader without organization. ”I’m sure that you have come across the records of how I became a guild master in the archives back at the tree.“ It wasn’t by any means other than a need to survive, and avenge what happened to his guild hall when the Elders made their move however that somber story wasn’t going to ruin this fun outing, ”I leave most of the organization to Ryo. He has more of a knack for right?.“ he gave a chuckle trying to pass it on as the joke it was meant to be.

After arriving at the train station they met the client and her husband by the train, Gaia seemed to be uncomfortable with Kite calling her boss even if it were for the job, ”I may be higher up in the guild but at this moment you are the boss boss. Soak it in.“they met their first obstacle in the form of the clients husband being obstinate but with Gaia backing up Kite by saying they were given permission to make him get on the train if needed and that was what happened to transpire. Kite kept his threat real by letting the heat increase and once Gaia and Karasuki were in their seats both across from them and behind him respectively Gaia spoke up first giving the man incentive to remain silent for the trip as well as told Kite to turn the heat down since it was causing more discomfort for everyone else in the area. Kite gave a sigh and let his aura dim and eventually subside entirely but he did keep his hand on Rose which was resting in it’s holster secured by his hip. ”Era huh?“ he turned his head over to Karasuki, ”Have either of you been to Era?“ he was generally curious, if not than he might take the two touring around the town. After they answered he smirked ”and you pal, what’s your business there?“

Post by Karasuki 9th March 2019, 10:03 am

Karasuki took it all in quietly: the conversations, the statements, the white lies, and the reassurances. What Kite had said to her had almost felt like a rebuke, until she saw how he spoke to Gaia about being a boss. It sparked her curiosity for how he had become the guild leader, but she sensed somehow that this was not the time or place for that specific question. Kite genuinely wanted to be treated like a regular mage it would seem, and to lose her natural way of speaking to others was strange. For Karasuki, her summons were family, Geralt was not really a friend or family but certainly, no stranger and the way she spoke to them were short, casual, personal, comfortable. Kite, Gaia, Ryo, and the others she had met so far were just not close enough for her to pull down her walls, her politeness was a distancing language, one designed to keep them at bay. It was something she had perfected serving others in the book shop where she grew from child to woman. Still, Kite was her guild leader, and if he wanted to be treated without all the labels and titles, then she would have to find a way to make that work. Such a turn of expectations had her mind working through the issue, chewing on it for a while to see just how she could manage the duality of how she related to others. Time passed on the train and she noticed that after Gaia's comment, Kite had somehow reduced the heat back to normal on the trip.

Neil Grigore, on the other hand, continued to sweat, despite that Kite had reduced his aura to nothing. His nervousness was getting the best of him and it was a challenge to outdo his own fears with the pressing threats of the strange mages with him on the train. The idea of losing his wife was worrisome, but it still somehow equaled his fear of the train. As time passed and he squirreled around in his seat, occasionally trying to stand up and leave only to be put back in it by the mages on the train with him, Karasuki felt she had a moment to relax. When Kite asked if either she or Gaia had been to Era, she slowly shook her head, her eyes not just looking out the window, but looking through it. Grigore himself wet his lips twice before opening his hands in a confused and supplicative gesture. "Presentation," He managed to say in brief. "Could get a promotion or a.." As he spoke, scenes of grassland and rolling hills played across the trip, but Karasuki was wrapped up in her thoughts. She hesitated too long, and it might have seemed random when she finally answered Kite. "No, I haven't been to Era. Maybe you can show us around after we finish our job?"

After a time, the train jerked to a stop and nobody had to do anything more for the man. Neil Grigore burst from his seat the moment Kite and Gaia moved and raced off. He opened the door with a loud bang, and Karasuki chuckled when she heard one of the attendants on the train argue with Grigore to check for his bags and items. Karasuki got off the train making the decision to attempt to treat her fellow mages with a bit less distance. If Ryo had been right, and she had trusted the mischievous man's smile, these people were like a family. Gaia had been there with her so far, and as a guide, she had been nothing but helpful and kind. She was sure whoever Casander was, they might have been friends too. Presuming she could continue to keep Geralt a secret, there was a chance that Kite would be right when he said there were no "people like her". No more excluding myself, she thought sliding her hands under the seat and grabbing Grigore's briefcase. When the mages got off, she handed the briefcase to the trembling man on the side of the tracks. Here it was, her moment to be a genuine part of this guild. Her lips parted and the woman said softly, "I'm in the mood for some coffee, actually. What do you two think?"
