    Bonding Roses Empty Bonding Roses

Post by Charlotte 21st January 2017, 4:08 am

Yet another place that was not Rose Garden. Charlotte really was expanding her views and places she's visited now that she was considered an actual witch and not just some weirdo girl with strange powers that manifested in the strangest of ways. Though she was still going on the more simple jobs that pretty much required no skill whatsoever. Unfortunately, that was just her nature. A bit of a slow learner, not to mention her magic that was not exactly meant for fighting in the first place. Or at least for now it wasn't. What would be in the future, she had no idea. Not that the thought of fighting others was a very nice one. She kinda hated it in fact.

So right now, she was meant to just get on an airship and pick up few boxes of magical lacrima roses. It sounded like a lovely job to do, one that was worth doing for it would make another place beautiful and adorned with this decorations. Humming a lovely tune, the young girl walked around the port and while waiting for another person to arrive. She was told that she alone would probably take far too long to load everything into the airship, and it was true that her body was a bit weak and frail, so she had to wait for another wizard that took the job to arrive. It made her wonder who she would get to work with this time and if they were someone nice. Hopefully that was indeed the case.

it may sound absurd but don't be naive
even heroes have the right to bleed
Above him was a stretch of sky, and though the pale blue color was inviting in its own right, leering into it echoed nothing but forlorn thoughts, lost in the transition of cloud to puff to nothingness over the short span of a few moments. Fleeting was the process of dispersing clouds, which Torian would easily compare to the fickleness of his identity and the deterioration of his memories, bit by bit, as he continued to wonder. He'd have mulled over this decision over a dozen accounts, far too many to count in, and the swordsman had only seen two sunsets since the night he left Golden Phoenix on impulse.

That feeling, mingled with the transparent chill of evening, was a reminiscent of an epiphany long overdue. But his body seems to have passed the high and he was suffering the consequences of his decision with uncertainty - little by little, indefinitely, Torian could very literally feel the remaining bits of his memory trickle from his grasp like fine-flowing sand, and it was a steady process that he could not control, much less even keep track off, leaving nothing its wake but an empty, barren space.

The swordsman had his eyes on the sky again, and he fears it's now an impulsive habit of his to commit to the clouds when he had nothing on his mind. Somewhere in that splash of blue and white was an illusion, a reflection, perhaps, of the broken man he was beginning to become. For how long had he been staring, exactly? Torian could already feel a prickle at the base of his neck, and a sting in his eyes from the brightness of morning sun. Hesitantly, he'd pry his eyes away from the comforting reverie back down to the streets of Lavanitir Port, where monochrome gray tiles lined the path he had been idly tracing, although it wasn't as aimless as his previous musings.

In his hand, the paper request would fold and crinkle, the words now a jumble of objectives that he stapled into his prior. His real reasons for wanting to participate in the delivery of these lacrima roses escaped him, somewhat, because he was so honestly insistent that he applied for the job on a whim. The voice in his head, the one that likes to call itself his Origin, seems to agree to the notion that it was instinct that drove him to it, but Torian seemed doubtful enough to not credit the origin's opinions.

"...It should be around here." he told himself, rounding a corner as he approached the marked destination, "Ah..."

From the far end of where he was supposed to be was a distinct puff of white, easily drawing his eye from the paper to the streets. A little girl, it seems, waiting with dainty ditz for someone at the port. Picturesque as the scene seemed on the surface, Torian couldn't help but dwell on whether or not her presence there was also for the roses.

Bonding Roses Empty Re: Bonding Roses

Post by Charlotte 29th January 2017, 4:16 am

Running around playfully. Charlotte didn't exactly have that much to do while she was waiting, so the boredom was kinda getting to her every so slowly. Thankfully, imagination of children often exceeded the one of others, especially this one's. Her reality was folded from multiple words, inhabited by aliens and demons. Though they were still a little bit of a secret to everyone else because no one visited the young girl in her own house. The one who would visit Charlotte would be in for quite the surprise indeed. But there was no point in spoiling things, even if she was merely thinking about them. After all, there were even beings that could read one's thoughts as easily as white words on black paper. So instead, she would just try and continue playing around, imagining that the floor was there no more and the ocean was extending far, far beyond one's gaze. She was hopping from one crate to another in attempts to avoid the playful sharks that were swimming around, trying to get to the young girl. And slowly, as her little game progressed further, the magic of reality started to do it's work and the hard stone flooring would truly start becoming transparent to reveal the underwater beasts below them.

Thankfully, a voice from distance distracted the young white witch enough for the effects to quickly revert, the ground beneath their feet becoming whole once more without bringing accidental harm to anyone around. There was a man standing some distance away from the young girl, someone she had met already and remembered clearly. After all, he left quite the impression on her when they were on that little mission of their. And so, a bright smile would start to rule her face as her hand waved on the swordsman energetically. But she did not even want to wait, running along the various barrels and other shipment for the airship before she would stop right in front of the young strapping lad. Even after run that short, her breaths became quite heavy as her frail body wasn't very used to something like this, her pale skin turning snow white for just a moment before it regained at least some living color again.

"M..mister Torian? Whatever are you doing here? Are you by any chance the one who will help me with the shipment of roses?"

Tragedy came in many forms, he'd assume, and when the ebb and throb of its essence overwhelmed someone, there wasn't much means of escaping what was bound to come. Torian, as an example, so deeply snared by the loss of his memory that he couldn't reciprocate the little girl's bubble of joy as she ran to him, voice wavering on the edge of sentimentality. He couldn't, even if he wanted to, because she was nonetheless a stranger to this new him, the one that has no recollection of the life he once walked. The way the little girl uttered his name, however, had a familiar soothe as his mind registered it, implying that her existence as a part of his life was fairly fresh, and hadn't been dulled over by time.

The swordsman sported a smile, which was apologetic in the very sense that it seemed extremely fragile. He'd bend at the knee, eyes glossed over by the energy she dedicated just for him, regardless if he remembered or not. A strange surge of relief somehow allowed itself into his person, where he, in turn, happily relished the wonder that was finding someone who knew him sincerely. Perhaps she could lend her aid in his quest to reclaim his former self.

"I am..." he began, a soft sound to couple nicely with her soft appearance, "There's one problem though."

Torian pressed a palm to her head, ruffling her white tuft of hair with fondness, unable to feign frustration over his amnesia when faced with her genuine innocence. "Mister Torian over here...doesn't remember anything, at all, and that includes you, little miss." he detached his hand from the little girl's figure with the utmost carefulness, in fear that she'd stiffen at his revelation, and he didn't wish to see the entirety of the damage he just caused to whatever relationship he'd have formed with her in the past. "So...I apologize, sincerely. Could you introduce yourself to me again, however? It might help me remember, if only for a small measure."

To one side of the long port, the crew in management of their request seemed to have realized their presences there. Soon, a man in a black pin-stripe suit waddled himself towards the pair, his glasses shining under the lazy Lavanitir sunlight as he dug it further above the curve of his nose.

"Greetings, wizards!" he said, accent thick with the tricks of trade, "I assume you're here to lend me your services? Splendid! We're just about to receive our last, grand shipment. You'd ought to be tottering over to the work site, yes?"

Bonding Roses Empty Re: Bonding Roses

Post by Charlotte 16th February 2017, 3:03 am

How curious. Little Charlotte had never encountered anyone with condition such as this one, not once in the entirety of her life. This was a new experience for sure, even if little saddening. But the girl surprisingly lacked the reaction one would think she would have. There were no tears, nor fear or stiffness. She merely closed her eyes as her head was patted, the strange feeling of comfort and safety embracing her suddenly. And once it was done, the truth was revealed. She stared at the man for few moments before closing her eyes for a moment more. And then, she would return the gesture. Thanks to his kneeling posture, her hand could easily reach the top of his head and pay with his hair for a bit as the girl smiled. There was something else as well, along with the touch. A strange energy that passed through the swordsman, feeling alien and otherworldly. It was gone soon enough as Charlotte opened her mouth again.

"Don't worry, or be sorry Mr. Torian. Seth says that all of this is nothing more than part of the course, something that is absolutely necessary for one's story. Perhaps you were moving far too fast and you had to be stopped. I'm Charlotte, white witch from Black Rose! Let's do our best together!"

Finally removing her hand from Terith's head, she would reward him with the biggest and most sincere of smiles. Even if all this seemed tragic, Seth said that it all would be well. And she trusted him, just like always. So there was no problem, for they would reforge their bond and make it even stronger than it was before. Surely nothing could break it apart after this. They were connected and would play together this game of life, one that always had unexpected results and events. But even then, they could not just stop moving forward. The adventure was just starting after all. Jumping to the side, she would just salute to the man who joined the scene as well, still smiling.

"Yes, sir! We're here to help with the roses!"

The swordsman noted the little girl's in bewilderment, curiously picking at her choice of words and adding random foot notes in between - what had she meant, that he'd been moving too fast that a stop was in-due? And more so, what of this 'Seth' person that she seems to consider an entirely separate entity? It seems not even children were exempted from cryptic speech. Regardless, Torian came to relish the soft motion of Charlotte's hand atop his blonde mop, a gesture much appreciated especially at that time, where he unknowingly sought for another human's coveted warmth.

"...I'm glad you understand, Charlotte." he said, her name not too foreign on his tongue, and that was a good thing. "Haha...together, that doesn't sound too bad...I guess."

It was nothing short to childish to feel elated, but he'd have always mulled over a possibility that along with his identity, his sense of humanity too, decided to unravel and that caused him to feel so unbearably alone at times - this much, coupled with the child's smile, however small, was the sort of medication that his weary person needed.

"Yeah...of course, um...." he mumbled, anxiety clinging to his small voice as the swordsman realized the gentleman's words that urged him to handle the responsibility, "On it, sir...!" he tried, again, as if to imitate the much younger girl's bubble of enthusiasm in an attempt to not dampen the mood.

The suited gentleman tipped the edge of his top hat with a single, gloved finger; his smile beaming as two beady jade eyes cornered them in a fond stare, "Great!" he said, "I'll be at an important meeting with the men over at the Trade Committee, perhaps an hour or two, and I'd expect all of the roses to be in their proper places by the time I drop by. Do take care of them, will you? They're quite pricey, even for me~"

Behind the stripes in his suit dawned the large display of crates upon crates, piling over the other in grand stacks. The swordsman was compelled to imagine the amount of ornate lacrima roses contained inside the mass of boxes, no doubt would cost a fortune...should they break before being bought.

"Yes...sir..." the swordsman responded, rolling his sleeves even further as dictated by his instinct. The gentleman that was to be their 'boss' for the day would eventually bid his goodbyes, rounding a corner down the port, until his shadow bent and melted into nothingness, off to the gathering of merchants with flair. to match his choice of garment.

"Let's get to it...then?" he asked, turning to Charlotte as he approached the crate closest to him, the tinker of glass against glass making him shiver.

The young girl was quite glad her words were accepted with such ease. Usually she would get strange stares or head tilts of confusion whenever she spoke of things that were communicated to her via Seth. They were a puppeteer from different world after all and their terms could be quite unknown to people of Earthland. The girl herself was already used to it after all these years, but that did not mean others would be too and she had to remember that at all times. Thankfully this moment appeared to be a success good enough for her, so she could smile and nod to it all. The fact that she was somewhat able to lift spirits of another person brought about a feeling she was most fond of, a warmth in the depths of her chest that quickly spread to the rest of her body, making her feel like she was lying in a field of beautiful flowers, showered by the sun's rays like the warmest of rains.

"Yes! Together is always better than alone, Mr. Torian! When a person is alone, they can get bored really quickly and then they think about bad things. But I'm not alone, Seth is with me always. So we don't have to worry about me and can focus on you!"

Somehow, that probably sounded as something a doctor would say to a patient who felt very lonely. But wasn't something like that quite normal for a girl such as Charlotte? She was the White Witch after all, blessed blood pumping in her veins. She was naturally born to be a healer of sorts and even her desires followed that path to an extend. Though she was still far away from her goals, ones that the puppeteer set up in distant future. As of right now, she still had no clue that she would travel worlds and learn of emotions that she knew not of. She lived in the present where her current self existed. And that self of hers stood next to the blond boy, ready to help with the rose lacrimas as the other man took his leave.

"Yes, I'll be counting on you Mr. Torian!"

And with those words, she too would approach one of the crates and try to lift it up. Though there was one slight problem. Charlotte was actually much weaker than other humans, even ones of her age. The wooden box did move a tiny bit, but that was about all it did. Even though these roses were not really heavy at all, the crate itself apparently was enough for this to happen even when the poor girl tried her best to lift it.

"Huh... um... this is strange, is it glued to the floor...?"
