Private Liberating Slaves (Job: Elspeth Abbott, Love Warrior Riley, Seenter)

Post by Seenter 12th January 2017, 12:24 pm

Chris walked down the street with a sense of unease in his step. He was following behind two women; members of his guild who asked him to join them on a job. He was in the guild hall working on his book when they asked, and it wasn’t like he could say no. At the time he couldn’t say anything, and they took his silence as an affirmative. Well he needed the money anyways. The job was a simple one they said; liberate slaves and bring the criminals to justice.

It sounded simple enough to him, but he knew it wouldn’t be the case. The last job he thought was ‘simple’ turned out to have a big dog in the mix. Well giant wolf would be a better description. And all he had to do for that job was pick a flower.

He shook his head as he continued to follow the two women. Hopefully this job would go a lot smoother than that one. A glance to the left showed him the port to the town as well as the ocean. The job said that the slavers were planning on making another shipment of women on one of the ships in port. Which ship he had no idea, but it did say there should be a lot of men overseeing the operation. Hopefully they could find them in the dark.

Looking up he saw the last remnants of the sun setting behind the mountains. Soon it was going to be dark, and that’s when the slavers started their activity. With a sigh on his lips he looked towards one of the women. The other seemed to have some sort of spider like qualities. She was stronger than him and the other, so he took her for the leader. ”So what’s the plan?”

Elspeth glanced back at Kyrin, eyeing him curiously as he trailed behind Riley and herself, as though he was afraid of them. She didn't say anything to the younger human, but she did keep her eye on him to see how he was doing on the trip to Hargeon Town. Naturally, she would have been paying attention to where they were going, instead she was occupied by the young magus. He was a strange one to her, in the sense that he wouldn't go near either Riley or her with no reason she could really think of. However, she didn't question him on why he did such a thing, rather she let him be as he wanted to do with himself. For her, she hadn't a reason to inquire about his strangeness and didn't want to come off as rude toward the young man. But it was also in her nature to care for him and see how he was doing; the only thing preventing her in doing such a thing was the man, himself.

Drawing her attention away from Kyrin, Elsie stared ahead of herself and stretched out each limb as they traversed the streets of Hargeon Town. She gained a few looks here and there from the townsfolk, but didn't pay much attention to their ogling of her limbs. They were fuzzy, long appendages that were attached to her torso at varying degrees, such as at her hips, her waist, the middle of her rib cage, and her shoulders. Equally, the limbs all had a set length, each pair being slightly shorter than the next, and about a quarter of her own size. Being fat and robust, they took up a lot of space compared to the slender physique of the one who donned the extra appendages. However, they weren't bothersome to Elspeth at all, rather she found them to be quite useful when doing things around the guild hall or on jobs. With these appendages, she could easily reach places most others couldn't reach and could multitask a lot easier as well.

The ocean beyond where they were caught her attention, though, and a trickle of fear ran up and down her spine in a thrilling manner. She curled her lips and wrinkled her nose before shuddering at the thought of falling into the water to her doom. "Do we really have to go toward the ocean? Can't we just bring them farther inland, away from the sea?" she inquired. A twitch of the eye concluded that Elspeth wasn't one for water and would do anything it took to stay away from it. "I mean. . . what if I fall into it? Isn't it going to eat me alive and try to drown me? I don't really wish to get wet." Her gave fell to Riley, opening they would have an answer on what to do about the issue known as the ocean. "I can't swim; I'm going to drown and then. . . what's going to happen to all of my children? What will they do without a mother?"

She let out an exasperated humph as she doubted either of her job partners would give her a decent answer. They would likely see her distraught attitude and entertain her fear as being nothing more than something silly to worry about. Besides, her fear was the least of their worries and the least of hers as well when there was a larger issue at hand. A boat was docked out at Hargeon Town's port, where a series of slave traders were loading in their catch for the day. It was their job to apprehend the fiends and bring them to justice, but with it being so near to the water, Elsie didn't know how she'd fair. "How strong do you think they are?" Elsie would finally bring up, as there had been little discussion about the actual job. "Supposedly, this is a pretty tough job, and it makes me wonder just what exactly we're going to go up against."

Riley skipped as they followed beside Elsie and with a big smile upon their face.  ❤It must be really interesting having so many legs, huh, Elsie?❤ Riley said in a coquettish fashion before turning their eyes to look towards the older male that followed them.  Riley noted their wish for solitude, but it wasn't in Riley's nature to just let a person feel down.  Coming to a screeching halt, Riley fluttered their way over towards Kyrin and came to a stop, raising one of their gloved hands into the air.

❤Yooooo~❤ Riley stated; being quiet and stealthy certainly wasn't their cup-of-tea nor their strong-suit.  ❤Why you look so glum, chum?❤ Riley said before letting out a wink, causing a small pink heart to fly out of the corner of their eye.  Every little movement of Riley's caused a sprinkling sound to sound-off with each step and movement sounding like bells, sparkles, and glockenspiels following behind them.  Riley blinked their eyes, one eye bearing a yellow color with the other eye bearing a brilliant blue color.

Riley wrapped their arms around Kyrin's arm and started to drag him up to the front and started walking once again.  Well, in Riley's case, it would be more like skipping than normally walking.  Riley jumped up into the air and took a seat in the air, hovering around the spider-lady.  ❤Oh, it could be much worse, Elsie~  We could be underground or in a swamp~❤  Riley said as they continued to circle around Elsie for a moment.  Elsie's fear of water (or that's what Riley would assume) caused them to lift their hand up to their lips in a giggle.  Riley's hovering stood in place as they crossed one leg over the next in a very feminine manner.

❤Just think of the ocean like a very big bath.  I mean, I guess there are things in there that want to eat you like fishies and big fishies with super sharp teeth, and sea monsters❤  Riley said the final bit about the sea monsters in a teasing manner, though it was probably true.  ❤But the sea, itself, won't eat you.  At least I don't think it would, teehee❤  Another giggle was given out before Riley flew around the two of her teammates once again.

❤Then i guess we'll both have issues, huh?  I don't know how to swim either❤ Riley said before she heard Kyrin pipe up about what the plan is.  However, Elsie's gaze turned serious, causing Riley to land on the ground and take a knee right next to the two of them.  Riley sat up a bit to get a better look at the little boat that the slavers were using.

❤So, what we do is❤ Riley said in response to Kyrin.  ❤We go in there and bash them up and steal away those girls for ourselves!  Maybe little Kyrin will get himself a fan or two in the process, eh?❤ Riley said with a nudge towards Kyrin's side.  Of course, Riley was purely joking around.  ❤Oh heck, I don't know though.  This does require stealth wouldn't it?  I mean, I guess we COULD sneak onto the ship and free them and then beat up the slavers.  OR❤ Riley said before covering their own mouth, almost letting out loud words.  Riley ducked under as the slavers turned in their direction.

A little, quiet laugh could be heard from Riley.  ❤Well, I heard a job similar to this was done having the females dressed up as slaves with a slave-owner trying to make a last second sell.  If that's the case, I nominate Elsie and you❤ Riley said as they turned to look towards Kyrin.  ❤You two, dress up like girls so I could 'sell' you❤ Riley said with a big radiant smile upon their face.

❤Now now, let me explain.  Elsie has some big hooters and you have a pretty mouth.  So I think that'll work, at least I hope so, teehee❤

Chris wasn’t entirely sure what to make of the two. One was obviously a woman, but she had qualities that reminded him of a spider. The other….he didn’t know if it was male or female. At the guild he assumed it was female because it was associated with the spider lady. But now it was hard to judge. Whatever it was, it had stronger magic than him and Elspeth.

He listened carefully to the arachnid woman as she complained about the water. It sounded like she was afraid of being eaten by it, which was only possible by large fish. Maybe she was thinking about sinking. And then she mentioned that she couldn’t swim. That made sense to him. He heard that only a few spiders are water spiders, and they usually skim on top of the water. Most likely she wasn’t one.

The thing that surprised him the most was the mention of many children. For some reason the sound in her voice didn’t make him think of a family with a father, but more of a family of spiders. He began to wonder if she reproduced more like a spider than a human. Wisely he kept his mouth shut.

He did let out a small yelp when the other member of their party almost literally dragged him to the front. His expression was blank like always with new people, but surprise was definitely in his eyes at being dragged like that. He muttered under his breath ”I’m not glum.”

With a small shake of his head Chris let out a silent sigh. He still hadn’t gotten used to the….person, even after riding with it in the train. Hyperactive and too cute to be manly was almost too much even for him. Again he wondered how hyper it would be if Mist slowed him down. Again he dismissed the idea as soon as it formed in his head. It wouldn’t do to attack a fellow guildmate, especially on a job.

Being guided to a point where they could see the ship Chris took a knee next to Riley. It was a small ship, but big enough to house the smugglers and whatever cargo they were taking. And it seemed to be a decent sized crew as well. Counting he came up with twenty one total; two were obviously leaders. It looked like it wouldn’t be easy.

He looked almost surprised at Riley’s calling towards the crew in a joking manner, and even more so at its suggestion of dressing up and getting caught. His face turned into a slight scowl, becoming use to the two enough to show a little emotion. ”If that’s the plan I think you should take my place. You’re cute enough to fetch them a high price.” A joke to be sure. Right?

Looking out at the boat with the setting sun Chris made a mental note of what he had to work with. As long as the ship stayed tied up at the pier he could make use of both Spike and Mist. Breeze was always available, and he knew he could count on her as a distraction. That left Ray, and the wolf was not happy at not being summoned as often as the others. He gritted his teeth as he quested for some sort of flame he could call the fire hound from. ”I know how to swim, and I might have some way of gumming up their steering. If you two want to go in and make a distraction, I can meet up with you and help finish off the rest.” He was sure with Mist’s help he could do something to keep the ship from leaving.

Elsie's gaze was drawn away from the ocean beyond down to the human that was not walking, but rather skipping beside her. In response to the person's inquiry, the woman stretched out her legs one by one as they had started to feel a bit cramped. From time to time, she often forgot that she had extra limbs compared to the humans she was around; perhaps, she was getting too used to them. She gave a shrug of her shoulders in answer, wiggling her limbs a bit more before letting them come to rest behind her again. "They're a part of me, just like your arms and legs are a part of you," she stated, "not much different than, say, having eight extra arms." The woman smiled kindly at Riley, then turned her gaze back to the docks that they were slowly trudging down into. "Sometimes, they're quite useful; other times, they have a tendency to get in the way of what I'm doing and make things harder to finish."

Her demeanor quickly changed in consequence to Riley's humoring of her fear of the water and what lurked inside of it. She furrowed her eyebrows together and wrapped each of her individual legs around her torso to keep her safe from harm. "That's not funny, Riley, and you know it!" Elspeth exclaimed, a frown apparent on her lips as she looked down at the other human. The thought of fish under the waters with sharp and long teeth just waiting to eat her alive once she fell in wasn't the best of thoughts to have. Nor did it help that Riley continued to list off the potential creatures that lurked within who may just be waiting to eat her for their next meals. These thoughts made her feel woozy and her stride began to falter a bit, stumbling over her feet as she tried to regain her composure. Only when Riley mentioned that they weren't able to swim either did Elsie begin to feel a bit better with the situation she was put in.

Chris popped into their conversation shortly after Riley stated they couldn't swim by including that he, himself, was able to. Her golden optics were drawn toward the magus inquisitively, curious to know what he planned on doing with his swimming capabilities. He didn't get to say much, however, before Riley jumped back in with the idea that Chris and she should dress as potential slaves. She didn't much like the idea of doing such a thing, but if it meant getting onto the boat easier than any other way, then she would do it. Narrowing her eyes, the woman began to wonder why Riley, of all people, suggested Chris and her to be the slaves instead of themselves and her. "Hey, you look more like a girl than Chris does; I agree with him on this matter if we go through with the plan. You're best off dressing as a slave with me." Elsie stuck her tongue out at Riley, but began stripping herself of the clothing she bore; first came off the shoulder pads, then the cape skirt around her waist.

The crown-like headband came off last, dropped where the skirt and the shoulder pads were, leaving her in nothing but the metallic crop top and the leggings. "All right, I'm ready!" Elsie proclaimed, resting her weight on one hip and placing her hand on it while she waited for the others. "I don't know if they'll believe any of us, but it's the least we can do to try and get on the boat after all; shouldn't be so hard, right?" Elspeth's golden eyes drifted toward Chris momentarily, eyeing him up and down as she thought over her next words. "He can take us to the boarding section of the ship, once the 'deal's' made, he can scoot on off to do what he needs to do while we deal with the ones on the ship." Her plan didn't sound so bad when she spoke it aloud, but it did sound much better to her when she thought it in her head. If all else failed, then they would just have to fight their way off the ship while attempting to free the current slaves.
