He'd sent her letters. Tales of adventures from across the land; some of his personally, some about other people and figures she'd remember from her time at Fairy Tail. Some from other Guilds. He'd even kept her updated on Simon becoming the youngest Wizard Saint and Guildmaster ever---the same little Simon they used to watch, almost babysit back at the Guild over the years. The letters came more frantically after Priory's attack on Magnolia; as he had nowhere to send them but to her address, her house in Magnolia that seemed to stay dark these days. The letters talked about the destruction Priory rained upon the town; how many were killed that day, and how Fairy Tail and Blue Pegasus once again won the day. About how he'd taken over as Guildmaster.
He'd even sent a letter a very private one, telling her that he'd found Igneel, Zeuslogia, Grandine and the other Elder Dragons...and that they weren't even on this planet! Most recently he'd sent one final letter.
- Letter To Daiki's House:
'Hey! Me again! Well, I've been trying to reach you forever now...I wish there was some way to see you soon, so---I'm going to gamble once more and book us tickets to a movie! That's right! I'm on my last leg here so I'm going to ask you out on a date! Me! I'm all out of ideas....so I'll be at the Crocus Theaters, suit tie, flowers and candy...well; I MAY or may not eat all of the candy........ok the candy is ALREADY GONE. But....I'll be here. This'll be the last time I try to contact you---there's a stack of letters as tall as you waiting back at your house if you haven't gotten them yet or had time to respond...well, I'll be waiting. On the eleventh day of the eleventh month! See ya!'
- Heero Kun
With a flick of his wrist he yanked the flowers in front of himself to attention and then raised an eyebrow at them, blushing a bit.
"M-man I'm throwing these away! This is too soft! Just a movie is good enough!" with a toss over his shoulder; Heero would fling some flowers high into the air. To his surprise, a Dad leaving the movie theater actually caught it; and handed it over to his Wife as his kids laughed. Turning around with a sweatdrop; Heero cracked up and smiled a bit as the Wife winked at him walking by. He knew then that the Dad was going to get some action later.
"Damn, I should've let her pick the movie." Heero checked his pockets as tickets for the equivalent of Batman v. Superman were shown. A sweatdrop would pass over his head briefly at that moment. "All this because I miss her smile and laughter at the Guild..." Heero looked down at himself in a suit and and rubbed the back of his head. As he waited for her to show up, probably in vain. He thought one final time about all the good times they'd shared together at the Guild.
Looking down, he could see Ai's face briefly but he merely threw the movie tickets to the side on the ground hoping someone would come along and get them. Sighing to himself, he shook his own head briefly.
"Well.....can't say I didn't try." he slipped his hands into his pockets and began to walk down the streets with his hands in his pockets as a few people recognized him walking by; seeing as this was the capitol city. He however, didn't have his usual look on his face--and people seemed to actually let him be for once. The various citizens watching somberly as he walked by.
