    Job Description:

Having gotten up early to catch the train, at the station in Magnolia, down the tracks to Hargeon Town. Today was a historical day for the the land of Fiore. The news that the borders where going to be reopened spread like wildfire. When the the word reached Gamon's ears he knew that he had to get his hands on a passport.

Gamon and his black exceed walked through the bustling city of port city. They knew that they had to head to the docks in order to get a passport. He had so many place he wanted to travel to. "Where do you think we should go first with our passports?" he asked his little companion. "Who knows we could go to the land of Joya. I heard they got cat people there." "Oh, that would be cool to see."

They then say a large line that winded through the streets. "Hey, I wonder what that line is for." Gamon wondered. "Maybe you should go ask." He then walked over to a middle age woman who was standing there with her family. "Excuse me, ma'am? What is this line for?" She turned to the young mage with a smile on her face, “Well, this is the line to get a passport.” What an excellent coincidence. Her two young children stared up at him from behind her legs; Gamon gave a half smile toward him. He didn’t really know what to do with children.

He then peaked around her, only to see how terribly long the line in front of them was. What a non-excellent coincidence. Tykva landed on his shoulder, not wanting to stand on her own. With a sigh, he took his place at the end of the line.

“How long do you think we’ll be here for?” Tykva whispered, to which he could only respond with a shrug. “For as long as we need to be, I guess.” In order to move forward with jobs, he needed to be able to travel… legally. He needed the money and the experience, as well. So however long they had to wait, was just fine with him.

He stretched to see the clock on the wall far ahead of him, taking note of the numbers on the clock. It was fairly early, so perhaps the line would move quickly. For now, he would occupy himself with Tykva’s conversation. Hopefully, they would get to leave quickly.

How long could it possibly take to get a passport? It had been hours of just… sitting and waiting, shuffling slightly after the next person moved up. Finally, they were getting closer. Tykva had fallen asleep nearly an hour ago, leaving Gamon along in his own thoughts and daydreams while he stood in silence. He’d counted the clouds and watched the bugs, leaving him with absolute boredom.

He looked ahead and once again counted the people in front of him… Could it be? Was he really third in line? He felt a jolt of giddiness at the realization. He shuffled forward once again. Now he was next, and he could hardly wait. He nudged Tykva slightly, hoping to wake her. She didn’t budge, but it didn’t matter. What mattered that they could get out of here soon.

Finally, after several hours wait… Gamon stepped up to the front desk. The elderly lady in front of him gave a meek smile, greeting him with an equally small voice. “Hello, Sonny. What can I do for you?” Gamon returned the small smile, eager to speed the process along. “For a passport.” She cupped her hand to her ear.“To pass a fort?” “No, PASSPORT.” He repeated loudly. Now he understood why it was taking so long.

The volume of the conversation quickly woke his feline companion up. She looked befuddled by the situation, and didn't quite understand why he was screaming at this old woman. Slowly, but surely, the process went along. At the end, he signed his name and slid the woman the envelope full of his payment. The old woman shakily handed him his passport, and he was finally off.
