On a rather dreary morning Quincy would receive a letter from Zuo Cii.

"Dear Quincy Zephyr,

As your guild master I must apologize. I feel I have not payed enough attention to you and your progress as a mage and hero. But now I am going to offer you the chance to prove your worth as both. I have received word of a Kraken terrorizing the boat-city of Tatanic. Tatanic is located within the national waters of the nation Enca it is a massive boat with a population close to Magnolia town. They are famous for hunting huge migratory oceanic game a feat that can only be accomplished with their one of a kind boat-city. However as you should know the mages of the land are few and far between too my knowledge Tatanic has only a single local mage or "Fang" defending it and his magic is limited to only speeding their ship up so it can escape danger. This has allowed them to survive so far but with the Kraken on their tail it is only a matter of time before it catches up.

I believe you are capable of defeating this Kraken. If not at least stall long enough for a stronger "Fang" to arrive to help. There is an old coot boat captain at the docks named Captain Morgan, he has a ship fast enough to get you there real quick. He owes me one, more like thirty two, and if you just show him your guild emblem he will likely provide transport on his sloop. Assuming you get there before the Kraken destroys the ship please do everything in your power to help those poor people. If you can do this you will be given the title of B-Rank mage.

Quincy let out a very audible sigh as she placed the letter her guild master had left her. She placed her left hand firmly across her face and spoke to herself "Only Master Zuo would put that at the end of a letter.... Well looks like I am going to be going onto a giant boat..." Quincy removed the palm from her face and went towards her belongings and started to grab her equipment.

She peered through to see her old outfit made of red again. She hasn't worn it in a long time and she was about ready to begin her mission. "I have to do this, not for the sake of a promotion, although it is a nice incentive, but for the fact that these people need help. I feel sorry for whatever I have to fight." She grabbed her uniform she was accustomed to and started to put on every single piece slowly, making sure that it was on properly.

She hasn't been to the ocean since the entire Lamia Scale guild went there on a visit. She was about to put on her gloves before she remembered that. She paused and looked out the window to remember old times. After a short minute she put her glove on completely and walked out the door.

As Quincy stepped outside the door to her little warehouse, she raised a hand to block the sun from directly hitting her eyes. "Looks like a good day to be at sea." She looked at the letter her guildmaster had sent her one more time to get a better understanding on what to do. 'So I have to look for a man name Captain Morgan... Would help if it gave a description.' She put the note away inside her sleeve and walked off towards the docks.

After about a ten minute walk she arrived at the docks of Hargeon. Quincy looked around for the nearest folk who was not busy being a merchant or loading ships. After about another thirteen minutes she found an odd man with a fairly large hat. "Umm excuse me? Do you know where to find a man who goes by the name Captain Morgan? I was told to come find him, its a matter of emergency."

The man tilted his hat up to see the young Lamia Scale member with her arms crossed. "What's the emergency lass? Because you just found your captain." Quincy stepped forwards and handed the man the note. He looked at the note confused and removed his hat. "Well then... Follow me." Quincy followed his instructions as they headed onto the ship. "You might want to hang on." Before Quincy had the chance to grab onto something the ship started blasting off into the ocean at incredible speeds.

As Morgan's small ship sped across the water the giant city on a boat Tatanic rapidly came into view. The Tatanic was sailing perpendicularly to Morgan's ship at the moment so it was easily visible that close behind it was the terror of the seas, the Kraken on it's tail. The beast was swimming along the surface of the water, the majority of it's tentacles pushing it along under the surface while a few forward tentacles lashed at the ship. The captain looked like he had seen a ghost "I hate you. I hate your guild master and when we get back I'm going to kill the old bastard with my own two hands. I must-ah ticked off someone on high to end up in the same waters as the Kraken." Regardless of apparent distate for the task at hand the captain kept to the wheel. Then the water started talking, "Don't worry yourself about the kraken captain. It's the least of your worries." The captain snatched a bottle of rum from his pocket and chugged it "Kid please tell me you heard that to. I'm too close to retirement to lose my marbles."

From seemingly still waters a wave rose up crashing onto the deck of the ship soaking it. "Have no fear captain. You look frail enough for me to kill swiftly." Obviously not comforted Morgan became very friendly with his bottle of rum. The water on the deck began moving, drawing to one point on the center of the deck gathering into a puddle. Then the puddle began rising up like dough being cooked into bread until it became a pillar of water 6 feet in height. Like magic the pillar of water solidified into a man. Clad in gold armor with a trident in his hand of the same material the man looked like Poseidon. Well Poseidon after losing an argument with a ten-armed Vulcan, his armor was dented and melted in various places and he was covered in cuts and bruises. There was also the part where he had a nasty looking head wound. The water-guy introduced himself "I am Okeanos. I've come to kill you Quincy. Please don't make this hard. On my way here I fought a hydra, a little girl with a box, a dragon slayer and a boy who looked like a girl. Man I made that boy scream like a girl. Here if you make it easy I'll even call off my pet once I've killed you. Deal?"

Quincy crossed her arms as the man who rose from the waters demanded that he was here to kill her. As he spoke she eyed the beast attacking the Tatanic and looked for its weaknesses. "Well I must apologize for the inconvenience. You see I have ordered to dispatch your 'pet' and protect everyone on that boat. And if you were to stand in my way, I have to defeat you." She took three steps back and put both of her arms in front of her into a battle stance.

Then an idea popped idea popped into her head. "Okeanos, I have a bet for you. If you so wish to kill me lets make it interesting. If I defeat you, you call off the beast and if you win, you can do whatever you want to that city." She gritted her teeth hearing her own words. She didn't have a choice in the matter of losing anymore. She stared deeply into the soul of the man who rose from the water. She was purposefully trying to get herself angry just to fight this man. "So, do we have a deal? Puddle boy." She finished with a dark chuckle pulling her hood over her face.

Okeanos twirled his trident and sighed "Not gonna make it easy then? Fine whatever deal. Let's just get to the part where I skewer you." The man in the golden armor appeared to have a rather straight forward focus and tried just that. He grabbed his trident in both hands, angling the prongs vertically, before lunging at Quincy thrusting the business end of the weapon at her mid-section. Not even using magic, how rude.

OOC: Never used a trident before so pardon me if my description is bad. By "angling the prongs vertically" I mean he is holding the trident so that if it connects the stab wounds would line up in a column. Like a goring traffic signal. Naturally horizontally is the opposite where the resulting wounds would be ducks in a row.

Quincy studied the man intently with every fiber she could muster. She needed to size up the enemy before rushing off and letting herself get killed. So far she only knew he controlled the Kraken and had the ability to turn into water. After he accepted her challenge he rushed at her with his trident aimed at her mid section. Acting quickly she spun to her left avoiding the trident, along with a single swift move ever so fluidly she sent her right arm into a chop towards the trident trying to disarm her opponent.

Everything would seemingly go according to plan as Quincy's chop connected with the trident. Then Okeanos cheated. When the blow connected, instead of the trident being knocked away, it bent like a malleable children's toy around Quincy's hand until the head of the trident pointed at Quincy. Okeanos laughed "You seem to have mistaken me for a conventional opponent." The trident extended past the bend sending the trident head at Quincy's head. In the spirit of being magical the side prongs of the trident extended outward forming a pincer formation trying to trap the mage in a trap of pointy death. It was like this guy learned how to fight from the Simon Baggon School of Dirty Fighting.

Quincy's heart jumped when the trident started to mold around her arm. 'So it is going to be that kind of fight... This is going to be fun.' Quincy quickly chuckled and called out one of her spells so that she can free her arm. "Haywire whips!" Her arms almost near instantly turned into electrified whips that extended ten feet around her. She quickly slipped out of the wrap of the trident to avoid getting stabbed and with another swift movement she swung her left whip at the legs of Okeanos attempting to wrap it around him while simultaneously wrapping her right one around the trident. After her arms were swung she sent out a knee straight towards the groin of Okeanos.

When Quincy slipped from his trident Okeanos said sounding a bit more excited then it should have,"Ooh that's a neat trick." When faced with an electric whip coming for his legs Okeanos adopted an interesting strategy, his watery form shifted transforming into *GASP* Quincy! However this did nothing to stop Quincy from binding his legs with electric whips(which hurt by the way) before delivering a crippling blow to his pride. Okeanos reverted to his original form with a cry of pain "Gah why did I think that would do anything?" Recovering from his surge of sillyness Okeanos got productive, he turned to water falling to the floor of the boat to free himself of the binding electrical whips. Puddleman charged Quincy's feet afflicting them with the fatal status condition WET as he attempted to surround her in inch deep water on all sides. However this seemingly harmless gesture would turn aggressive as a half dozen water tridents shot out from the puddle like floor spikes. Okeanos may seem like nothing more then a human puddle but in truth... well actually yeah he's just kinda a human puddle. A human puddle with a pointy stick. Well he also commands a kraken so he has that. His armor is shiny too. But really he's a puddle.

Quincy chuckled as the man turned into herself in order to try and disorient her, but her attacks were already in motion. Before she could land a kick the man turned into a puddle of water and surrounded her feet. She questioned it for a second and then a lot of water tridents shot out of water aiming to scrape up her legs. She hopped into the air and lightning started to arc off of her feet and she started to hover, but not before she received a small cut from one of the spikes. While in the air she slammed both whips down onto the puddle of water hoping that she was still able to hurt him in the current form he took.

When life gives you lightning whips(and you just so happen to be a puddle) get out of the way. Okeanos split down the middle the water that composed him jumping to either side of the whips. "Twin dragons!" The two puddles shot at Quincy dramatically increasing in volume as they both took the shape of dragon heads that would try and bite down on Quincy's shoulders. If successful the dragons would immobilize the lightning mage as Okeanos solidified in front of her before attempting to run her through with his trident. Should Quincy evade the attacks of the water dragons they would explode in a violent spray of water as their jaws snapped shut. The water would appear rather unmagical as it splattered to the deck and Okeanos would not reappear.

Quincy chuckled as the water mage split into two puddles to avoid being hit by her whips. As they hit the deck the whips disappeared from her arms and she ran both of her hands along her sides all the way up to her head and thought out 'Static Fade'. She became somewhat transparent with lightning arcing off of her. Suddenly the two puddles turned into dragon heads. She held out her arms to block the incoming attack only to see Okeanos appear and try to impale her.

Once he appeared Quincy chuckled and used the spell she had activated was just a random act just so she can use it to run into Okeanos's puddle form, but now it proved a way to hurt him. Before he was able to run her through with his trident, Quincy used the spell she activated to fuse with the water and jumped out with a fist aimed at his lower jaw.

If asked what it was like to have electricity fused with the water that constitutes your physical body Okeanos would say promptly that it sucked. Sufficiently so that Okeanos felt that in retaliation it would be appropriate to allow Quincy to hit him in the face. That is as he turned his head into a ball of boiling water at the last second. Refusing to show any sign of fatigue or damage Okeanos would explode in a surge of water attempting to trap Quincy in a large sphere of violently swirling boiling water in an attempt to make potato soup. How he would make potato soup from a human girl was hard to say but Okeanos was crazing potato soup and would find a way somehow.

Quincy's face tightened as her fist made contact with the boiling water that was Okeanos's face. The water surged around her in an attempt to trap her in. Luckily the spell she activated earlier was still in effect and she was going to abuse the hell out of it. Her body manifested itself into the water that surrounded her in an effect to pop back out of it while soaking wet. "You are going to be a big pain in my butt aren't you..."

Okeanos found himself highly irritated at Quincy slipped from his trap "You're call me a pain? You're stupid powers are a horrible nuisance!" The water mage solidified with a scowl on his face "If you aren't impressed by water from the sea maybe you'll have a better appreciation for that from the sky. Heavenly Sea!" Okeanos pointed his trident into the sky which in turn shot a beam of golden light into the heavens far out of sight. In response massive clouds appeared from nowhere filling the sky above as far as the eye could sea in any direction. Okeanos threw his arms wide as an extreme downpour blasted the world below with an otherworldly rain. The rain drops fell like machine gun fire, some drops as large as tennis balls and the water was bone chilling cold. The man in gold himself seemed completely unaffected but the same couldn't be said for anyone else nearby.

Quincy almost face planted after being hit by the giant water drops from the sky and her lightning that surrounded her arcing shifted in color. The bright purple faded into a bright white color and her eyes changed into a pale white color and her breathing increased. She lifted herself from the ground and her right fist had a giant ball of lightning in it and she yelled out "Now you fall! Fury of Zeus!" She threw the lightning bolt straight upwards and laughed. "You have made one mistake, you made a bet in a one sided fight against your favor! Are you prepared to die yourself?" After that she pushed past the rain drops and jumped at him with her left fist raised ready to send a punch into his jaw again.

Okeanos made a note to be weary of the bolt of lightning thrown into the air. It stood to reason that before long it would come crashing down to give him a bad day. But he had the more immediate concern of a fist coming at his face at rather unsettling speeds. "I have made one mistake but that was not it." He didn't move as Quincy's fist hurtled towards his head and remained perfectly still as it passed right through. He smirked like a smug asshole as Quincy probably realized that she hadn't punched him, rather she had hit an image of him projected onto the rain. A cold point would gently tap the back of her neck as from behind her the water god said "Rain Mirage. In intense rain I am able to manifest illusion copies of myself. Now I think it is in your best interest to surrender less you lose your head."

Quincy let out a ground as she felt the cold metal touch her back and rolled forward facing the direction the point came from. She crouched to the ground like an animal and lightning struck in the background. At the sound of the lightning strike she charged at him with her fists glowing with lightning getting ready to slash at Okeanos with an open hand. "You are a fool if you are to think that I will make it easy for you." She growled as the hand neared the face of the man in golden armor.

Okeanos under estimated her speed and failed to consider that she could move away from his trident before he could stab her. Thus he was quite surprised to find his face full of lightning and pain. The next thing he knew he was sprayed out on the deck with his face half burnt "The old man really knew what he was doing huh?" Okeanos didn't move but stared in the sky "Final Ocean." The rain stopped. "That isn't a spell. That is my name." The ocean calmed. "It is a lost language but that is what Okeanos means." It was hard to say if Okeanos was talking to Quincy or anyone at all but he just went on without moving "I think he knew what would happen. I think he knew it was going to be me all along." Then he moved, he raised his right hand and by consequence his trident just to slam them back onto the deck of the ship. His grip relaxed and his trident rolled out of his hand "The ocean always slowly ebbs at the earth. That's why he named me that."

Quincy walked over to the man and gripped onto his armor pulling him up to her face. Her eyes remained unmoving "The old man had no idea of my strength. No one knows my true strength. Okeanos seemed unphased at being tossed around but regardless with a wave of his hand the kraken sunk back into the ocean leaving the ship alone. "No need to get so defensive.
