    Magic

    Description: Molten magic calls forth the stregth of the planet's core with every mighty blow! A combination of raging flames and the tough earth below, molten magic is primarily based on power, and power alone. Whether it be causing an eruption, firung magma at opponents, or causing a molten rock slide, the hot magma and hard stone behind each blow exudes toughness!

    Now, while some may use molten magic to shoot projectiles and rain destruction from above, Ando's use of molten magic is more... grounded. Quite literally, in fact. Ando smashes the ground beneath him, uses eruptions to propel himself around the battlefield, and strikes with the heat of a volcano with every blade swing. Ando relies on his brute strength, bolstered by the shockwaves and boosts of his magic.

    Strengths:

    • SO MUCH STRENGTH!: Ando's molten magic is incredibly hard hitting, since it's main focus is destructively powerful blows.
    • Turn up the heat!: Ando is very resistant to heat, and this can cause problems for his opponents. Every time Ando causes any eruptions or creates magma on the field, it creates hazards and heat, which may get to the opponent. But not to Ando!
    • Tough as a volcano!: Due to the intense heat and harsh conditions his magic creates, Ando is unflinching and tough, with even the harder hits leaving him visibly unphased. Of course, the damage is still felt and enough hits'll take him out, but you won't see Ando flinch a bit!

    Weaknesses:

    • TOO MUCH STRENGTH!: Ando fights fiercly, but this doesn't mean he can last forever! His powerful magical hits take a lot out of him, very quickly exhausting his physical and magical abilities.
    • N-not the cold!: Ando's magic has one large weakness to it... cold! Whether it be simply water or advanced ice magic, Ando simply can't tolerate the cold, magically or physically!
    • Uh... did I do that?: Molten magic's destructive powers aren't always entirely harmless to the evironment... in fact it's quite the opposite. No matter who or what is around, Ando's molten magic will destroy the things around him with an almost definite chance.
    • Stay still, damn it!: Ando's magic stays primarily on the ground, meaning that anyone agile, or especially with the ability to fly, will have a huge advantage over the molten magic.
    • Hey, come closer!: The magic Ando uses is very powerful, along with his strong blade, but his range is nonexistent: unless he's within sword's reach of you, he couldn't really do much harm.

    Lineage: (I was told by people in chat that my lineage could totally be ignored if I wish so I opt to do that if possible!)

    Unique Abilities:

    • Strength of the Magma Core: Due to plenty of training and practice with the physical aspects of molten magic, all physical attacks with a sword are boosted in strength by 25%.
    • Heat of the Volcano: All of Ando's sword based attacks are charged with the molten force of his magic, giving a fire affinity to all sword hits. No extra damage is awarded by this, but it will affect those who are weak to/resistant to fire.
    • Honor of the Molten Stone: When an opponent does something dishonorable or attacks a close ally, Ando can go into a heated rage and leap in to stop the dishonorable fighter. If he does this, he can only target the foe chosen, and the foe can only target Ando with his attacks, both for 3 posts. Ando takes a 25% penalty to the accuracy of his hits due to his rage, but locks the enemy in one on one combat.

    Name: Ashen Blade
    Rank: D

    Description: Ando holds his blade out and ignites his magic at the hilt, moving his hand along the blade. As he does, a red glow of heat illuminates the blade, along with a steady stream of ashes for the duration of the spell. The molten heat and the glowing ashes of the blade now boost it's strength by 25%, burning and bashing any foe that's close enough!
    Strengths:

    • Burning hot!: The boost for the blade is not only in strength, but in heat. Anyone weak to fire damage would deal with a 30% boost from this buff instead of 25%, but only to the fire-weak foe.
    • The Ashen Swordsman's Trademark!: As this spell stays active, the whole area slowly gets coated in ash! If the spell is used three times during a battle without the ashes being swept away somehow, they will start to swirl in the air and cloud up the battlefield! If the spell is used a whole five times without any interference or way to clean up the ashes, everyone's accuracy will drop by 10%, all except for Ando since he's quite used to the ashes around him.
    • Caution, flammable!: If anything in the environment happens to be flammable, Ando can ignite it by pressing his sword on it for 1-3 posts, depending on the situation. If he creates the flame, it can damage others that may touch it, but the damage that it would do to Ando is reduced by 75%. Depending on the situation, the fire would only last 1-3 turns as well.

    Weaknesses:

    • Ugh, so damp!: If Ando attacks a foe who's resistant to heat, the effects of this spell are nearly negated in full, leaving only a 10% boost in strength instead of 25%. Even worse, if someone happens to be a water or ice affinity, the attack is not only lacking a boost, but the spell ends prematurely.
    • Hey, leave my sword alone!: If Ando's sword is hit directly with water, ice, or even wind attacks, the spell may end completely. Water/Ice attacks can end the spell in 1 post instead of 3, and wind spells can end it in 2 posts instead of 3.
    • Gimme a sec, will ya?: The spell takes a single turn to power the blade up, leaving Ando open to attack while it does. The spell taken to ignite the blade does NOT count for the 3 post length of the buff. If, during the preparation turn, Ando is hit with an attack that brings him below 25% health, the spell won't channel correctly and he'll have to start over.
    • I kinda needed that!: If Ando doesn't have a sword, the spell is totally useless. No other type of weapon can receive this boost besides a sword. If Ando is disarmed at all, this spell is inactive until he is armed with a blade. If the spell is currently active and he loses the sword, the spell ends prematurely.


    Name: Eruption Boost

    Description: Channeling the churning earth below, Ando digs his feet into the ground and causes an eruption of magma below him, propelling him through the air towards a target. The leap has a 45 ft. range, and if Ando attacks someone while in midair, the strength of the attack is boosted by 20%.

    Strengths:

    • Look out below, or even above!: While pretty much all of Ando's attacks are stationary and on the ground, this spell allows Ando to take a shot at someone far away instead of wasting time running towards them.
    • Sorry about the mess!: After this attack, the spot it was initially used in now has molten magma in it's wake. The more this attack is used, the more stage hazards there are, even going until the whole battleground is speckled with little eruptions of molten earth.
    • Finish him!: The added boost from the spell can be just enough to save the day in a given situation. Whether it's defeating a particular enemy, or leaping over and locking someone in combat with his unique ability, Ando can be the hero of the battle in no time!

    Weaknesses:

    • Get down from there: While the horizontal distance that can be covered is 45 ft., the vertical distance is only a little higher than a normal jump. So if someone's too high up, Ando's still useless in combat.
    • Stop moving!: If a target is particularly agile in combat, the aerial attack that can be used will have a 25% penalty to accuracy, since it's already hard enough to hit a moving target on the ground, let alone in midair!
    • Just gimme a minute...: This spell takes a lot out of Ando initially, so he needs a moment to recover after use. Any attacks made towards Ando directly after this spell's use have a 25% boost in accuracy.
    • Wrong way!: If Ando ends up boosting into an attack or a stage hazard, pretty much anything that will do harm, the damage is boosted 15% due to Ando's uncontrollable forward momentum into the danger!


    Name: Magma Burst

    Description: Ando grabs his blade and covers it in molten power, slamming into the ground and creating a circular 10 ft. AOE eruption of magma around him. Anyone hit by the blast takes 80% of normal fire attuned damage.

    Strengths:

    • Get off of me!: Anyone hit by the molten blast cannot take the massive force of the magma! They're knocked backwards and to the ground, stunning and forcing them to get up and ready themselves again.
    • Watch your step!: Once this spell is used, the magma and molten earth on the ground stays where it is! This creates yet another stage hazard, forcing Ando's foes to tread carefully!
    • That was incredible!: In the insane circumstance that Ando hits 10 or more opponents with this attack at once, he'll immediately get motivated from just how awesome that was! The effects of the Ashen Blade spell will trigger, but only for the next turn. If Ashen Blade is already active, it will last for one more turn.

    Weaknesses:

    • Aw, c'mon!: If Ando misses any foe by any distance below 10 ft., he will realize how pitiful this technique is, and consider holding off on it. The cooldown of the spell increases from 2 posts to 3 posts.
    • Gyah! My honor!: Ando's magma-spewing magic doesn't know the difference between friend and foe! If any allies or neutral units are caught in the blast radius, they also take damage normally. If Ando does do damage to an ally, he is utterly demotivated, losing his next post entirely due to his moping.
    • Uh... you saw nothing!: The magma released by this blast destroys the environment nearby! If Ando destroys the environment at all in a good-aligned or neutral-aligned setting, he'll feel a bit guilty about it, deciding to refrain from his magic a little longer. The next spell used will have one more post added to it's cooldown.
    • Didn't plan on that...: If one was bold enough to stand their ground instead of fall, whether it be through magic or a resistance to fire, they have quite the opportunity to attack! Their next attack will have 50% more accuracy.


    Name: Volcano Shield

    Duration: However long the shield stands, a max of 3 posts

    Description: Ando plants his sword in the ground and raises a hand, summoning forth the earth below him. Suddenly, a volcano-shaped cone of molten stone goes around him to block oncoming attacks. The volcano shield will last for 100% damage power, breaking after anything further than that.

    Strengths:

    • Ha! Nice try!: Any hit that lands less than 100% power won't break the stone, although it will chip away at it enough for the next hit to break it.
    • While I'm here...: If Ando stays in the volcano shield for more than one post, he can charge Ashen Blade without worrying about any interruption. If Ashen Blaade is already active, he can boost the amount of posts the Ashen Blade spell is active for by one.
    • Eruption Time!: If the volcano shield is up all three posts and is totally unscathed, it'll actually erupt! The lava will spew around in a 10 ft. radius, making that area dangerous to stand on and destroying the shield. Anyone hit will take 50% fire affinity damage. However, if the volcano is hit or touched in any way, shape, or form, the eruption won't happen. Also, Ando cannot use Ashen Blade within the shield if he wants to use the eruption.

    Weaknesses:

    • Not strong enough?!: If a hit totaling over 100% damage hits the volcano, all the remaining percentage will still hit Ando. For example, a 125% damage hit would do 25% damage to Ando.
    • Don't pour water in here!: Any water affinity attacks will not break the shield, but the damage will still fully hit Ando with absolutely no penalty. Hitting with a water spell, while not damaging the shield, will prevent an eruption from happening and a passive Ashen Blade to be used from within.
    • How do you freeze a volcano?!: Adversely to the water attacks, any hit on the shield with an ice affinity attack will instantly shatter the shield, no matter what the percentage is. For example, an AOE ice attack that hits the shield for 75% damage will instantly break and remove it.
    • I, uh... guess I'll just wait then...: While the volcano shield is active, Ando cannot leave the shield. So, if all three posts go by, Ando will be forced to stay immobile in the shield for all three of them, whether he wants to or not. None of Ando's effects or spells override this.
