While Kyuhyun had a somewhat traumatizing past he has been able to find some form of a positive personality after becoming a legal vampire and a mage of Blue Pegasus. He retains some of that "vampire pride" that is common, coupled with the normal teenage attitude he comes off quite cocky. He has a rude tongue, often necessarily while hiding behind the excuse of being "brutally honest." However, behind that rude and cocky exterior lays a boy desperate for attention, which is why he acts out.

Kyuhyun has trained himself to be nocturnal, contrary to popular belief not all vampires are naturally nocturnal, but staying inside all day only to go to sleep at night was terrible, so he sleeps during the day and walks around during the night. Unfortunately this means he doesn't interact with others very often. If he does go out during the day he covers himself up, or tries to stay in areas in the guild that does not have a lot of sunlight.

Kyuhyun is also quite flirtatious whenever he is out and about. Regardless of the target's sexuality he will immediately hone in on any guy he finds attractive. He doesn't quite understand that even though he is attractive that people aren't going to be with him if he has a toxic personality, not to mention he can't change people's sexualities.

His flirtatious personality comes from his need for attention and friendship. His life before joining the guild was lonely and empty, and more than anything he doesn't wish for that to happen again. His toxic personality is actually his way of not being able to function in society normally.



Contrary to his cocky personality Kyuhyun is quite cowardly. His magic reflects that as he does not fighting directly, avoiding close combat and sticking to the shadows. That can also be due to the fact that he hides from the sun all the time as well. However, he will continue to taunt his opponent and put of a brave front, continuing to act full of himself. While he doesn't work too well with a team having someone in front of him for the enemy to focus on is the best way for him to actually fight well.

Kyuhyun doesn't work well as a leader, and not much better under one. He doesn't like to listen to orders, which isn't entirely his fault as he was under a vampire's control for four years, and the only part of his life he remembers. Often times he will go against orders and do things his own way, a way he believes is right, though this typically ends badly for him and anyone else involved.

He doesn't have the strategic mind to be the leader of anything, while he would try his hardest to succeed without harming those he is leading he will often lead them into more dangerous territory. The only thing good to come out of him being a leader is seeing a braver side of Kyuhyun to protect those he is leading. If a choice would have to be made he'd be better suited as a follower.

• Blood - The only thing he can actually consume comfortably. He drinks blood provided to him from the magic council, however he knows what fresh blood tastes like and it is definitely better, but he continues to drink the blood provided to him to retain some form of humanity.
  
  
• Night Time - The only time he can comfortably move around and function due to the sun being down. Strangely enough moonlight doesn't affect him the same way the sun does, even know moonlight is just reflected sunlight. Its strange.
  
  
• Swimming - The closest thing to flying that humans can naturally do, and to him its giving a form of freedom. It also helps that he doesn't have to hold his breath since he doesn't breath anyway.
  

• Any Food That Isn't Blood  - Anything he consumes that isn't blood tastes disgusting. He can't quite describe the taste, but unfortunately he doesn't remember the taste of anything before he was turned.
  
  
• Insects - They're creepy, seeing them from afar isn't much of a problem but seeing them up close, noticing all the details of their body sends shivers down his spine.
  
  
• Daytime - Obviously as a vampire the sun, while it doesn't kill him, not only shows his unwanted vampire characteristics, it also drains his energy slowly, as if he is constantly jogging. Therefore he typically avoids going inside.
  

• Normal Life - Being a vampire isn't too bad, but it comes with a lot of discrimination and he wants to prove many people wrong, believing that human feeding predator can live within society normally.
  
  
• Relationships - His status as a legal vampire is known within the guild, so sometimes it is hard for him to create meaningful relationships with others. Along with trying to live a normal life he wishes to make a lot of friendships and, hopefully, a long lasting relationship.
  
  
• Hunting - Much like the mage who saved him and other thralls Kyuhyun wants to grow up and hunt other vampires preying on human lives. Partially to show that some vampires can be good, and partially to make sure no other child goes through what he went through.
  

• Mental Magic - Anything that is related to the mind sets Kyuhyun off, having history with having his mind controlled gave him a deep phobia of it. This includes even telepathy from allies.
  
  
• Growing Up- This isn't like a Peter Pan "I'll never grow old." The problem is, he can never grow old, so unless he is killed he will watch all his friends and love ones grow old and move on, to a place where he may never be able to go.
  
  
• Rebounding - His biggest fear, however, is rebounding back to a predator stage. Sometimes he has the urge to drink fresh blood from a human, and it takes everything in him to resist that urge. The biggest thing he fears is becoming the very thing he hates the most.
  

Kyuhyun didn't choose the vampire life, the vampire life chose him. Kyuhyun was a completely normal boy at the age of ten, while he didn't have a lot of magical energy within his body he was beginning to learn how to use what he had. At some point, after school one day he was out late at night, now his parents warned him constantly about going home immediately after school. Unfortunately he chose not to listen on this day.

Unbeknownst to him there were reports of children going missing in that area, the adults chose to keep it secret from the children as to not frighten them but implore them not to stay out past dark. As stated, he was was out long past sunset, and not realizing the true danger of him being out he walked home with leisure. Unfortunately, he didn't make it home.

From the shadows he was snatched and immediately knocked out, keeping him from screaming for help. While he was asleep the vampire began to suck out his blood, then feeding the young Kyuhyun his own blood, and once again sucking Kyuhyun dry. As Kyuhyun died with vampire blood in his veins he painfully awoke several weeks later, becoming a turned vampire forcibly loyal to the vampire that turned him.

The time as a thrall wasn't all too bad, however he was used and abused constantly, for manual labor and unwilling love, but he was alive. When he was reborn he lost all previous memories from his life, so this was the only life he knew. During this time he was taught some magical usage, but his strength was supposedly hindered and left untapped, his lord could not risk him growing too powerful for Kyuhyun to break out of his control.

For four years he lived in a cave with his lord until a wandering vampire hunter came around. Though he wasn't specifically a vampire hunter, he was a mage who had taken a job to go around hunting vampires. Not all vampires were evil, mind you, though preying on humans were their means to survival vampires were able to make deals with the magic council. Refrain from hunting humans and causing trouble, and blood will be provided. Many vampires didn't agree with this, very few actually complied to this agreement.

Kyuhyun's lord was specifically heinous, known by the council to prey on children, mostly little boys, for reasons other than just blood, and a price was placed on him. When the mage came and killed the lord, Kyuhyun and many of the lord's thralls were freed from the control, however vampire pride kicked in. Like Kyuhyun, they were all too weak to combat a mage of his rank.

They were all given an ultimatum, live peacefully in compliance with the magic council, or die where they stood. Few decided to take the mans offer, the others were mercilessly killed. This was a warning to all who took the offer, cross the council and they will die as well.

The process of registering as a legal vampire was long, it was actually a few months of making sure the children could function properly using blood bank blood. Unfortunately being a legal vampire isn't easy, not being able to blend in without drinking fresh blood brought a lot of discrimination on him. About half of the other save vampires turned from their ways, unable to cope with the hatred that they received. Kyuhyun stuck it through, however, becoming mostly nocturnal, avoiding a lot of the stares.

Another requirement was he had to officially register with a magic guild, this guild would become a family of sorts, while also keeping him on the radar to be watched. His guild was given to him randomly, Blue Pegasus.
