It was an actually quiet afternoon from what Allen observed. No gossiping groups of girls who wore heavy amounts of make up and pink clothing. No nagging food stand cooks bothering people to take a bite. No ruckus. It was an all peaceful afternoon. But this didn't soothe Allen's anxiety a bit.

Quietly sat down from the edge of a rooftop, Allen swung his legs back and forth in a daze. "You'd think something would've happened by now." He said, disappointed. Allen tilted his head backwards, gazing at the sky and it's fluffy clouds that painted the sky. Staring at such silent things would make him doze off! Staring back at the ground beneath him and all of it's people, maybe he'd drop buy some random guy and ask him to buy something for him.

Allen rubbed the back of his neck awkwardly, while his other one clenched his stomach. "Sitting around here won't do much help." His body was completely frozen. He didn't want to move from this surprisingly comfortable spot if it meant his life. Of course, the anxiety of masses of people kind of promoted that...

Allen sighed and quietly dozed off (In a very dangerous place). He'd lean to his side, then jerk back up to his straight posture. Lean to his side again, only farther, and go back up. And eventually he leaned so far to his side, dozing off that he almost fell off of the roof. This quickly woke him up and just sighed in relief.

He came to a conclusion to hop off the roof and sit on a sidewalk. At least it's not dangerous... He thought.

Chesuke wandered the streets of Magnolia Town. he wasn't sure how wise it was for a member of Blue Pegasus to be wandering the hometown of Fairy Tail, but some day (soon, he hoped) he'll start taking jobs. and, if he found himself on a job in Magnolia, it was wise to get to know the area. just to be careful, though, he hiked up his low-slung pants and adjusted his soft blue button-down shirt in an attempt to cover the guild tattoo sitting on his left hip. Magnolia was his first stop in visiting all the major cities and town before he planned on accepting his first job as a wizard. come to think of it, he thought to himself, am i truely a wizard if i dont take jobs? being a part of a guild is one thing, but i can only grow so strong just by training in the courtyard...

so distracted he was by his wonderings, that he didn't even notice the magical presence droppin in from above until, suddenly, someone landed upon him.

And just like that, Allen's fall felt as if he were simply rolling off the bed. He fell on stone, and yet it felt so soft? This made no sense until Allen actually looked down. A large man, about six foot, was on the ground. To be more precise, Allen was a top of him. Realizing how things were, Allen flinched and crawled from on top of him. Taking a moment to regain his thoughts, he bowed in forgiveness. "U-um... sorry about that... mister... uhm..?"

At that point, Allen was more interested in his name rather than condition. Totally ignoring formalities, Allen insisted on giving his name. He felt if others would do it, he'd do it too. "I'm Allen." He offered an exchange of names, in hopes that take up on it.

After that, he took a look at this stranger. Big, tall, and somewhat harmless. His blood smelled foul, though. Foul and uninviting. So he completely ignored his urges for blood. And of course, animal blood wouldn't do a thing either. "You know, you smell nice. Your body, that is. Not your blood... that's different." Allen, as usual, was open about his feelings to everyone and was glad to share what was on his mind. What a guy, people'd think. A guy who'd share his opinion about everything. Allen leaned down over him and sniffed him. For minutes even. But as he was sniffing him, he was examining him. He didn't smell like everyone else in Magnolia. A traveler? Merchant? Whatever he was coming from, it wasn't here. "Say, where are you from?"

as soon as Chesuke noticed the man on top of him, he felt immediately flustered. the man was not quite as tall as him, but the red hair and yellow eyes sucked him in immediately. "i'm Allen. you smell nice" the fallen man said, causing Chesuke to blush. what a guy, Chesuke thought, unsure how to react to the almost invasive sniffing as he couldn't help but enjoy the attention. "where are you fron?" Allen asked as Chesuke slowly rose from the ground.

"I'm Chesuke," he introduced himself, "i'm from...um... Chesuke stalled for a moment as he tried to think of a cover, still unsure how a Blue Pegasus mage would be taken on Fairy Tail turf. looking at the attractive stranger, though, Chesuke found he couldnt lie. "...Blue Peagasus" he finally finished, regaining his composure, and flipping his hair away from his vibrant green eyes. as he did so, he adjusted his stance to show off the guild tattoo on his hip, as if to defy this mage to try something. from his aura, Chesuke could tell the two of them were about even in terms of magical power.

Chesuke. What a nice name, he thought. And Blue Pegasus? Well, he had never heard of that before. Something with such a peculiar name couldn't have been some sort of village or town. The only thing he knew that had names as peculiar as the one he gave him, were guilds. Fairy Tail... Lamia Scale, Eclipse Soul; they all had their funny names and meanings. He could've only assumed that it was one of the many guilds he had heard of. The guy looked nice and all... but his precautions never altered ever since he made to Magnolia Town. Yeah, sure there were some folks he could let his guard go down in the presence of. But not just any stranger. Especially travelers. They always carried some kind of weapon with them... not that he was afraid of them or anything, he could eat any blade. It was just that... well, never mind.

Lost in his thoughts, he realized he had yet to respond to Chesuke. Staring at him in awe, his unique never seemed to go pass his mind. His smell and something else was something he couldn't get through his head... his smell, and his hunger.

Just then, his stomach started to growl. Like some, dying animal was in his stomach. Nevertheless, he was hungry. And when Allen was hungry, he ate. May it be blood, bone, or... bread. In any case, he was as broke as a wooden rod, and needed to eat. He usually ate the scraps he finds in the dumpsters or simply steals pastries and meat (Raw or well done). The taste never really bothered him, the scraps were satisfying and was enough to keep him alive for a day or two. And surprisingly, a lot of people in this town waste perfectly good food. Sometimes he'd find full dishes in trash can, if he was lucky. Some people might of thought it sounded, but of course, Allen didn't have the funds to live in the houses normal people do. Or eat at restaurants like gossiping girls. He got what he needed went on in life, the opinions of others never got to him.

But his lifestyle wasn't something he'd talk to with anyone. He wasn't insecure about it or anything, he just never thought it'd be a very good conversation starter. Ignoring these thoughts, Allen snapped back to reality in the flash of his stomach starting to rumble again. He groaned. "That's a nice name. Want to get in on some fun?" He asked. His ornery grin and mischievous eyes gave away that he was up to know good. Kihia, his Nii-san, taught him better than to steal, but it wasn't he was going to wait for his Nii-san to pop up and treat him to something to eat. It was take it or leave it, and Allen wasn't willing to leave anything. Stealing was a normal thing for him, and worst case scenario, he'd treat himself to the scraps in the alleys. But he was confident in his agility and quick actions in order to escape the food stands with an arms' full of tasty treats.

"Want to get in on some fun? It'll be exciting, lil' Pegasus"
Allen's sudden proposition caught Chesuke off-guard. He'd never had someone be so forthright with him. he froze, unsure how to respond, his stomach suddenly tying itself in knots of nervous excitement. Does he really mean... no he couldn't. what are the odds? but, then again, maybe... no, there's no point giving my hopes up...lets just go along, and see where this goes Chesuke argued with himself silently in his head before finally coming to an agreement.

as he opened his mouth to speak, Chesuke's stomach growled much like Allen's had been doing. laughing and grinning, Chesuke finally responded, "sure, i'm always up for fun. but is seems like first, we both need something to eat. its on me." Chesuke smiled at Allen, before looking around them. spotting a restaurant, he pointed, "how's that place?"

It's on me Chesuke said. Allen figured that he wouldn't have to steal if someone was paying for him. That made life a little easier and his reputation less... infamous. Allen looked towards the place where Chesuke was pointing toward. He could smell the aromas from here... that was one good thing from being the iron dragon slayer. His enhanced sense of smell. Allen nodded right when the scents filled his nostrils. "That place? Yeah, sure. I've seen it a few times while I was having my own fun with food stands. Sorry for making you insist on paying for me." He modestly apologized. He didn't know who this guy way, but he smelled good and seemed kind. So why not?

Originally, if he had met Chesuke when he was in a weaker mentality, he would've killed him (If he could). But ever since Alyia took him to that restaurant, he had been a little more open with people. Strangers even. No, he didn't actually make conversation with strangers, or shake their hands, or rarely kiss their cheeks when they asked for it; he improved to the point he could say hello, goodbye, and "may I have something?". It was all he really ever needed to say to strangers.

With others, he could be much more open about his feelings and his thoughts and what he's smelling, feeling, tasting, seeing. It was more specifically with Kihia and Alyia, really. Those were really the only ones who he could talk to about that kind of stuff. And only saints know where his little brother went. He had recently heard that he went traveling... he could only pray for his safety.

There he was, lost in his own thoughts again. Allen gazed at Chesuke thinking... he could be okay. Maybe he could talk about what he was smelling, feeling, tasting, and seeing with him. He didn't seem like a guy who wouldn't listen, or wouldn't try to relate. He seemed relatively nice. Of course, that's the same mindset Allen had applied to merchants when he was a kid. Thinking they'd be nice enough to share and help him. And boy, was he wrong. He couldn't think anyone more picky, greedy, and vicious than merchants. Hoarding their stuff, for no one to have and not for him to share. Allen clicked his tongue in irritation at the thought.

But if anything, casually, Allen ran his fingers through Chesuke's hair. His brown strands of hair running through his hand and collecting between his fingers until his stroking came to a stop. "Soft." Allen said with such casualty that it seemed like this was a normal thing the two did. "Your hair is soft."

Chesuke was taken aback at Allen thinking he'd insisted on Chesuke paying. "Don't worry about it. It's the least i could do since you're offering for us to have some... fun together" it was hard for him to get his word around the word in that context, but it somehow felt good at the same time. suddenly, Allen's hair ran trough his hair, causing Chesuke to falter and nearly trip on the street. "soft... your hair is soft" "Thanks"

they walked into the restaurant, and took their seats. Chesuke was enjoying the aromas in the air as they sat down. "so, uh, how often do you do something like this?" he asked, seeking conversation.

Everything had moved so quickly. First, his flustered and quick reply. And one thing lead to another, and now they were both placed in the restaurant, in their seats. An awkward silence was bestowed upon the two in an instant. Allen carefully eyed down the silverware placed in front of the two, and glanced back at Chesuke. "I've done this less than five times. Where are you from? You don't smell like everyone else in this town. And I don't mean your guild..." He continued asking questions left and right. The guy looked plain to others but his smell was like a new world to Allen.

He asked questions like, "Where you from?" and "Do you have any family?". Allen just became so curious. If anything, Allen was the one talking the most. Maybe he was being a little too pushy. Ever since he had opened up to a little bit more people. By that, he meant strangers. Just a few minutes ago, he fell right on top of this guy! And now they were sitting across from each other, talking. Well, mostly Allen. It wasn't like he looked dangerous. And he sure as hell didn't feel more powerful than him. He had no reason to keep his guard up but it wasn't the case where it should be down in the first place.

This was Fiore, a dangerous but fulfilling and joyous place. Not even at a funeral for a king you could let down your guard. Sure, he has seen people with different "guild tattoos" roam around here, but very little. Some of them looked unpleasant. He had to open up his eyes to the world and learn more about society. Guilds. Would he join one? Could he? Should he? All the questions circled around in his mind, staring at Chesuke, rambling on about Chesuke himself. He rarely spoke about himself. About Dr.Stein, and how he was an artificial human. And the part where he drank human blood... or maybe that should've been what he told him in the first place... yeah. "...You know... what's Blue Pegasus like?"

Allen had probably asked that question a million times now. "What's your guild like?" From Kihia, from Alyia, from his little brother... they all gave him different answers. Different ambitions, different people, different goals and dreams. Allen found that... inspiring. To be with groups of people who have different dreams, but share the same goal. Work together to achieve something greater. Of course, Allen knew that every guild wasn't so great. He may not be informed, but he did know that dark guilds existed. Like Tartarus, the guild his father was in. He never learned much about the guild. The only times he heard of their ambitions was when he talked about them. And not even directly to him, more like... unintentionally mentioned it in a completely different situation. Allen glared, he'd join a guild, and meet Stein. His hatred for him never changed, but he doesn't necessarily want to hurt him anymore. More like, tell him how he felt when he was in the lab.

"Huh?!" Allen muttered, not loud enough for anyone to hear. What was he thinking? Exchange feelings? "Since when did I get so soft?" He thought. It's like his mind and fists weren't agreeing with one another. He wanted to hear Stein's voice. But wanted to choke him so he couldn't speak. He wanted to see him again, but didn't want Stein to see him. It was a contradictory battle with himself that he simply did not understand. It was frustrating, and he hated it.

The fact that it was frustrating contributed to his already existing hatred for Stein; and that wasn't even his original hatred for him. He sighed and grinned at Chesuke.

Less than five times?! thought Chesuke, but he seems so calm and collected about this. and here i'm a nervous wreck, sitting in a restaurant with a stranger, about to... Allen started questioning Chesuke, drilling him with question after question. He was glad for the distraction from his thoughts, however, and began answering question after question. he told he told Allen almost everything, hoping he wasnt asked about relationships. that was definately not a subject he wanted brought up, but the conversation seemed to be drifting in that direction, until, suddenly, "...You know... what's Blue Pegasus like?"

Chesuke gladly took the derailment of the conversation and eagerly started talking about his guild. sure, he had only been a part of them for a couple days before starting his explorations, and he hadn't even taken any jobs yet, but the people were really nice, and eager to help each other grow stronger. of course, that was why Chesuke had chosen Blue Pegasus in the first place, to become a powerful wizard and earn a title as one of the ten wizard saints.

"huh?!" allen muttered, so Chesuke started trying to describe what the ten wizard saints were. "my magic is a bit...flashy, you see? and people mostly use it in objects as vanity tools. change their hair color, change their clothes, and stuff like that. but it can be used for so much more, and i really want to show people that one aspect of some magic, or someone, isnt all that they should be defined by."

Allen sighed and grinned at Chesuke. wow, i think i impressed him with that answer. most people dont really get it, but he really does! Chesuke smiled back at Allen, before remembering that there was food on the table in front of him, and started to eat.

(Sorry for the late post, I'm a tad sleep deprived and couldn't get to a computer to post. :3)

Allen widened his eyes in awe. What an answer. It's not like everyone else he asked have given a description worse than that, he just seemed so into it. Lamia Scale,  Eclipse Soul, Sabertooth, and Blue Pegasus. So nice... He thought, he wasn't head over heels to join a guild, per say. e was struck with awe on how cooperative all four could be. Each with their own beliefs, and goals, and people. They all had something to look forward to, and knew where they were headed.

Allen smiled, he still hated people. They were disgusting, merciless, cold, cruel things that littered the earth. Chesuke, was not one of those people. Or at least he guessed. "Sounds like you're really enjoying yourself, there. In Blue Pegasus. Wacky name, but sounds... fulfilling. Am I right?" He chuckled.

Allen had different goals though. Goals to confront his father in hopes of settling things. Allen wanted that. He didn't want to kill him, no. Killing was wrong according to Alyia and Kihia. So, he avoided such things. The blood drinking was hard to shake off though. Bad habits can't be easily outgrown. And even then the habit isn't bad, or a habit. It's instinct. It's what he was made to eat. Of course, he could certainly live without it. But his cravings for the sweet taste was unbearable.

(No worries, I understand that people have lives, and am not one to get impatient)

"yes" Chesuke admitted, "it is a pretty strange name. And I'm New to the guild, but it is fulfilling. I can tell already that I'm improving." he smiled as he heard the wipes come out of his own mouth and realized they were the truth. His memories shuffled past the brief time he'd been a member of Blue Pegasus. He started so unsure of himself, and he was already able to speak so confidently about himself and his guildmates.

Chesuke suddenly realized that he'd been doing most of the talking. Their food was almost eaten, and he'd yet to learn anything of Allen beyond his name. "okay. It's you turn to start telling me about yourself and your life" he'd properly made it a command, assuming a question could be skirted around. He smiled, showing just enough teeth before flicking his hair out of his eyes.
