    While Seikatsu's was passing through the forgotten desert, he came across a rather sophisticated looking man who seemed to be in a bind. He told Seikatsu that he had come across the remains of a very powerful, very ancient creature. Seikatsu was intrigued, and urged him to continue. The man began by saying he's a professor, and that this artifact would be a breakthrough if he could reclaim it. 'Reclaim' was the key word that let Seikatsu know what he was supposed to do. The professor said it was a group of bandits, and from their looks, not smart enough to learn magic. Seikatsu asked what direction they ran off in, and the professor pointed him out. The professor said he was heading to Magnolia, and Saikatsu told him to keep going and he'll meet the professor there.
    Seikatsu began walking, and continued until he could no longer see the professor. He put his hand under the hood of his cloak, and began rubbing his hair stating "I probably should have factored in that I'm in a desert before I said I'd help..."

    The desert was so vast that he had no idea how he'd do this. He began walking in the direction the professor pointed him to, hoping he'd get lucky and find some tracks. Unfortunately, the desert sad was being pushed around by the wind, and the only tracks left were the ones he made that were already nearly gone. Seikatsu kept walking, making note of landforms he saw to ensure he wasn't going in circles. He came to a spot where he noticed the sands were a strange color. He couldn't point out what it was, but something made Seikatsu feel uneasy...
    All of a sudden, he heard muffled voices coming from... somewhere, but he couldn't see anyone and there was nothing to hide behind... The curse of being in a desert, no cover...
    "Well, well... looks like we were being trailed!"
    "I told you that snotty guy was a rat!"
    "Whatever, let's finish this guy and get to the burial site."

    Seikatsu stood in place, trying to find where the voices were coming from.

    Three men jumped out of the shifting sands with swords drawn, and charged at Seikatsu. He figured if they did know any magic at all, they would have used it already. Either that or they're complete idiots who can't tell a wizard from a normal person.
    Seikatsu turned to a side and the first bandit missed him, the second was in front him, and the third approaching from Seikatsu's right. Seikatsu stepped to the left, back to his original spot and the bandit on his right missed. The bandit in front Seikatsu tripped over his own foot, an Seikatsu stepped next to him, and punched him in the back of the neck. The other two regained their balance, and came at Seikatsu together. Seikatsu stood in the middle of them, and just when the swords were lined up with Seikatsu, he grabbed both bandits by the wrists and flipped them. On of the bandits drew the winning stick, as Seikatsu knocked him out by punching him in the stomach. The other one, who was fully conscious and had a hurting shoulder, was on the chopping block. Seikatsu had some questions, and that bandit will have answers.

    The bandit tried to get up, but Seikatsu kicked the front of his knee so hard it snapped, and the man hit the floor and began shouting from pain.
    "Alright worm..." Seikatsu said with a sadistic voice.
    "How do you feel about...mmmm.... playing a little... gaaaame..." he asked the crippled man.
    "Screw you!" the man replied angrily.
    "Hmmm... no. And now we will play my game, it's calling interrogation. And I'm the one asking questions." Seikatsu told the man, as he grabbed the broken knee.
    "AAARRRRRGGGGHHHH!!! OKAY, OKAY, OKAY I'M GAME JUST LET GO!!!" he wailed in complete agony.
    Seikatsu let his knee go, and said "Question 1: where is that item you stole from the nerdy guy?" maintaining the visage of a sadistic psychopath.
    "I... I can't tell you tha-AAAHHHH!!!!!" he began, and was interrupted by another knee grab. "Okay, okay it's a few dunes over. You can't miss the excavation site, it's friggin huge!" he whined.
    "Gooooood boy... Now, question two: what will I find when I go there?"
    "I'm not allowed to-" he began, and saw Seikatsu getting ready to grab his knee again "I-I-I-I MEAN TH-THERE'S A FEW NECROMANCERS!!" he blurted out, and Seikatsu put his hand back.
    "How many?" Seikatsu asked calmly.
    "Just one, he wants to merge his soul with whatever that fossil came from I think." the bandit said, knowing the consequences of trying to avoid the question.
    "Last question, are you going to come with me?" he asked the bandit in a low, coercive tone.
    "No way! They'll kill me if I..." Seikatsu's eyes were hidden, but the man could fell his stare grabbing him by the throat.
    "But if you beat them down, they won't get the chance... let's go!" he switched his answer to.

    He helped the bandit get up, and noticed the sand was soaked.
    "Did you seriously..." Seikatsu began to say.
    "Please just ignore it." The bandit pleaded, trying to retain his dignity.
    "It's that way." He said, pointing in the direction.
    Seikatsu helped the wounded man walk, and even engaged him in conversation to take his mind off the pain. The pair arrived at a massive crater, with several people moving inside. Seikatsu got ready to hammer the bandit, for not mentioning the other people, but stopped when the man started talking.
    "There's only 10 or so of them down there... none of them know magic, except the necromancer guy." the bandit said informatively.
    Seikatsu looked at him, and figured he would be a liability to have around him. He set the man on the ground, and knelt down infront him.
    "I'll make you a deal. I'm gunna go in there and put the hurtin' on all those guys inside, and show that necromancer what's what. If you stay here, I'll get you to a place to fix that leg. Savvy?" Seikatsu said in a reassuring tone.
    The bandit nodded, and Seikatsu began climbing down the wall of the massive hole.

    The inside of the crater had large crates, ladders, and some strange blue rocks strewn about it. Seikatsu stayed hidden, and locked in on each of the bandits. 'I'll only have one chance for each... and then I gotta end that necromancer...' he thought to himself. He placed his hands at his shoulders under the cloak, and felt the grip of his Knives of the Fallen gracing the tips of his fingers. He waited for two men to get nice and close to him, to the point where they were close enough that Seikatsu could make out their pupils.
    Seikatsu took a deep breath, exhaled slowly, and launched his two knives. Both knives stuck their targets, and then disappeared. The bandits each began screaming due to the effect of the daggers which causes whoever it sticks to feel twice the pain they normally would. The other bandits gathered around the crying decoys, and Seikatsu scurried to another position.

    The necromancer hurried and began doing something with the fossil.
    Seikatsu got on a stack of crates that let him see the other eight bandits, without him being too terribly exposed. From here he could see what the necromancer was doing, and it was just as his hostage friend said. The necromancer was calling forth the form of the dead beast, in hopes of merging his own soul with it.
    Seikatsu knew exactly how it works, but the necromancer was doing it all wrong. The magic circle being used was a heptagon with standard writing which is fine for for necromancy as it would let one control the physical form of the dead, the circle needed used a pentagram and latin inscription as a catalyst. Seikatsu looked back at the screaming men, and saw all eight in a nice, tight group. One of them noticed the blood from the wounds, and the group went on guard. Seikatsu quickly grabbed six knives, one between each finger on both hands, and carefully aimed. He threw the knives one-at-a-time in rapid succession, and each knife his one of the bandits. The two left had spotted Seikatsu, and started climbing the crates to engage him in battle. Seikatsu jumped and threw his last two knives at both of them on his way down. All ten bandits were writhing in pain, and Seikatsu made haste to attend to his first to targets.

    Seikatsu slammed the heads of his first two targets on the ground, knocking them out cold.  A few of the others began slowly getting up, using their will to ignore the pain. Seikatsu met the five fools face to face, and punched them all in the throat. Their now collapsed trachea's caused them to pass out from suffocation, and Seikatsu quickly knocked out one man who was unable to fight his pain, and the two who was trying to climb the crates earilier.
    The necromancer had successfully reconstructed the fossil's original form. Seikatsu walked in the room, and stared at the structure. It was only a skeleton, but Seikatsu could tell that whatever it was, it was big, had claws, huge bat-like wings, and massive sharp teeth.
    "It's a bit rude to walk in without knocking first, child..." the necromancer said to Seikatsu.
    "My apologies. Knock, knock." Seikatsu said sarcastically, while tapping on the wooden crates with his knuckles.
    "Be careful, those crates are full of some pretty nasty explosives. It'd be a shame if you blew us all up before I could assume a greater level of existence." the necromancer said to Seikatsu.
    "You'd better stop, you've got no idea the amount of errors in your circle!" Seikatsu warned the necromancer.
    "I was going to test this spell on the nearest city, or even on those bandit fools so I would avoid having to pay them. But I suppose you'll be just as good." The necromancer said as he began to charge the spell to merge his soul, with the beasts body.
    Seikatsu tried to stop the man, as he knew the spell wouldn't work. That and what he was doing was a forbidden skill, and would result in his death if he failed.

    Seikatsu's attempt at stopping the man was thwarted as he had constructed a massive barrier that bounced Seikatsu off. The beast began to gain flesh, and the necromancer began to lose his. Seikatsu backed away from the barrier, and tried looking around to see if there's a way to get in. The speed that barrier was made would leave some sort of hole he could slip through. The massive beast became whole, and its' magnificent scales glistened in the light being filtered from above. But its' beauty was short lived, the beast began to dissolve, and eventually turned to mush, its' only remnant was a small, black, petrified piece of bone. Seikatsu felt terrible that he couldn't stop that fool from becoming one with the goop, but Seikatsu put in an effort to stop him.
    Seikatsu didn't expect him to liquify, he expected the beasts soul to be the dominant entity, and the necromancer's soul to be consumed entirely. No matter, Seikatsu grabbed the stolen item, picked up a torch, lit the fuse on one of the dynamite crates, and began sprinting out.

    MP: 90%

    Seikatsu was caught in the blast of the crater, and got some pretty harsh cuts from the shrapnel, but nothing debilitating happened to him. He met up with the bandit from earlier, who passed out in the desert heat. Seikatsu slung the man over his shoulder and made his way through the desert to Magnolia Town.
    It was a long, arduous journey. And the bandit's dead weight hadn't made it any easier... Seikatsu dropped the sleeping, limp bandit at the stairs to some giant important looking building, and went to meet up with the professor.
    The professor was informed of the events that transpired, and Seikatsu advised him to keep that item safe. After seeing where it came from, it sent shivers down Seikatsu's spine thinking that it was possible to resurrect it. The professor told Seikatsu it was the bone of a long dead Dragon, and explained the history of dragons. Seikatsu soaked it all in, and thanked the professor for allowing him to help. Aside from a newfound knowledge of dragons, Seikatsu also discovered a strange enjoyment in explosions...
