    Job Details:

    The fresh open air mixed with the wonderful smell of the ocean was always a good mix for the Monk as he sat on a bench near the pier. Everything was going fine so far with even Cheepie chirping happily time from time. It seemed nothing can ruin this day of his, or so he thought as the sounds of hollering men came rushing past with bags of jewels leaking out. Without another moment's notice, the young man had given chase with his pet bird trailing close behind. Whoever these men were, they were most likely criminals carrying away loot, but this led to his pondering of why head to the docks...unless they had a ship there they could escape in. With such a revelation, Minh bursts into action sprinting past the men before turning around to face them. Wearing nothing more than a rugged shirt and pants, he stood in a fighting stance.

    "Hey, what is this, what's with the bloody look eh? You seeing this John, some wannabe hero getting in our way, with no weapons even!" The bandit laughed loudly in response to seeing Minh take his stance followed by the other four. Though, it was not aggravating, he still needed to show these ruffians a thing or two, and from what he can tell, they were thinking him more of a joke than anything else. Since that was the case, Minh claps his palms together, forming a thin layer of barely transparent earth to cover his forearms and forelegs which also served to bring out another laugh from one of the more gutsy members of the gang. "I'll take him on, shouldn't be too hard." After saying this, the bandit stood a few feet away from Minh, gesturing him to strike while the other 4 stood by each other, smirking with confidence that they could deal with him and still have time to escape from authorities.

    Minh only gave the challenger before him a friendly smile in response to his jeering dueling request and accepted it with two quick stomps his feet. In an instant, three 6in wide pillars with rounded tips erupted from the ground with one hitting him in the back and gut to cause him to lurch forward violently to end up getting an uppercut from the third one. For the four bandits behind the one that was just K.O.'d, they found themselves being engulfed by the ground underneath them with two having their bodies covered with the liquid earth while another two struggled to pull their limbs out. Without resting, Minh surged forward towards one of the struggling bandits, slugging him multiple times in the head as he panicked from being sucked into the earthen pit. The other one managed to pull himself out and charged at Minh from behind, slashing.

    Minh turned around fast enough to catch two furious swings from the Quick Bandit's long-sword with his forearms, catching the blade upon its second swing. With a surprised, alarmed expression, the man tried to pull the weapon away only to find it in an iron grip which was followed by a powerful magical shout. Silent to the unfortunate man for a split second, the blast upon hitting him would send a shock-wave through him with the sound of a thunderclap ringing in his ears followed by intense vibrations. A final result of this would be him being sent flying back because of this, being very much put out of commission. Turning back to the other two men, Minh didn't want to waste more time letting his spell take effect and drove into the two partially submerged men with a flurry of punches and kicks. Before, Minh had realized it, he had put down all of the bandits with the money laying in a messy pile off to the side where Cheepie was going back and forth regathering the dropped jewels.

    After taking care of his adversaries, Minh sighed and slowly did his work, moving the poor men into a neat line of unconscious bodies. As he does this, he finds himself approached by a small group of people followed by a few men running up to him from afar. He wasn't understanding what was all the commotion until he realized these were some of the townspeople, and the ones coming here in a rush were workers. Perhaps these thieves had taken something away from these men, probably the jewels when using his deductive reasoning abilities.

    "Hey, you there! Are you the one who stopped all of these men?" One of the workers asked loudly while the others looked upon him as if he was a hero.

    "Umm, yes...it was no big deal..really.." Minh responded while smiling meekly to the people before him. They seemed to be very grateful, giving him handshakes and hugs while also bringing him many small gifts here and there.

    He was a mere traveler in lands still mostly unknown to him and wasn't expecting to end up doing anything of the sort. At most, he expected himself to be going into a guild and become a part of something much bigger than himself. Maybe this would be just a one-time thing that has occurred to him, and he'll find himself one of the common people once more. Though such humble thoughts crossed his mind, he didn't really find it too unpleasing that he was getting gratitude from them. It was at that point that a large, burly man pushed himself up to the front of the crowd, staring down at Minh, which was quite frightening indeed to be meeting such a towering individual.

    "It seems that you've already caught the criminals that we put a bounty on just now...which saves us a lot of trouble of hunting them down." The large man said as he observed Minh who at this point was just trying to keep his composure.

    "WELL, since ya took care of the baddies already, I think we will have to pull back the bounty, and in turn, we will give you that and a portion of our own wages as thanks for your little act of heroism here." The man said with a deep chuckle as he gathered up his fellow workers to pick Minh, carrying him up and all the way to back to their warehouse where they proceeded to give him a little celebration.

    "So tell me, kid, what is a guy like yourself doing out here?" One of the workers asked as he took a swig from a cup of light ale. The others were talking among each other as well, but were curious as well of the Monk's story.

    "I am here around these parts making my way to the Sabertooth guild to seek a place where I may find my purpose in this world..nothing much.." Minh responded meekly to them, not really sure how they'd take it.

    "Well, simple and noble, good enough for a goal in my case." He responded to the Monk before giving him a hearty pat on the back.

    After that was all over with, Minh made his way out and back into the nearby town where he stayed for some time, learning more about the continent that he lived in while also learning about all that he could during his stay in the town. It was during the late afternoon that he was visited by an official who hands him the money that he got from the bounty as well as a little extra from the workers like they said. With the encouraging words from the persons he help as well as his own growing ambition, the monk wondered just what he was going to do next on his way to the Sabertooth Guild. From what he gained from asking the official, it seemed that there were a few more jobs open for a mage like himself. Though he didn't plan on actually seeking to do such things, it wouldn't hurt to gain for himself some experience as he made his way there.

    With that in mind, Minh made his way to the docks for one last visit, deciding to relax for a bit with the open ocean air before continuing his journey to the Sabertooth Guild and with that planned out in his head, the young monk walked out of the inn that he stayed out for a time to begin a slow walk towards his destination. When he did arrive at the docks, Minh sat down on the same bench he sat days before when the bandits came by to cause some trouble. The marks of where the earth was used by him were still noticeable as well. Cheepie flapped about around him, adding to the very peaceful surroundings that assisted in his decision making. While his goal was vague, it was clear that he wanted to pursue a simple goal of bettering the world as much as he could, but something told him that the journey to do so will be much harder than expected.

    Time passed and soon Minh was on the road, making his way out of the small town while seeking to train himself along the way there. When a few fellow mages came across the young man, he was told that there was a job up far north he could undertake if he was looking to better his skills. So with that, he made his way up to the far north in the less hospitable lands near the Spooky Forest where his next job was located. As he made his way to the place, he felt that this was a path that would lead him into impossible odds, but that was the very reason he made this journey in the first place. How can one become stronger if they do not seek challenges that force them to. Whatever the case, he was already heading to the North. Following behind him was the equally determined Cheepie who also sought to become a better...bird..?
