Indar's Secondary Magic Training [Private] Empty Indar's Secondary Magic Training [Private]

Post by Indiana Jones 6th June 2014, 5:09 am

The Silent Cemetery, Indar wasn't sure on what he was doing here or why he came here in the first place. After the meet he had had with Ombrias, his mind was messed up. All his thoughts, feelings and ideas scattered. His grandfather really did want him to go mad or well it seemed so. First attaching this weapon to Indar's soul, then giving him a pet, that is a gigantic metallic snake and now, now the old god had found a metallic god slayer lacrima and had stuck it into Indar. It hadn't hurt or anything, but after it, Indar had felt nauseous and really dizzy for some time.

Turning that time, Indar had ventured to some place, where he wouldn't be disturbed. Or hoped he wouldn't be. He was in one of the quietest and deserted places in Fiore. But then again, you never knew what weirdos would pop up in a cemetery.

Indar let out a small sigh. He had just recently left his guild and friends behind, to only come fact to face with Ombrias, who had then given him a new power. A power that wasn't liking Indar's body and felt like it was trying to kill him. He took a seat on a gravestone, overlooking most of the cemetery. This place felt like home to him, surrounded by death. It was a warm and welcoming  feeling, one he enjoyed. Death felt like something, that was a part of him, well it was. His first experience with death had been when he was 12 and killed his own family.

Indar was almost happy, remembering such nice memories.

Post by Indiana Jones 12th June 2014, 12:20 am

The place really felt dead, not even the wind blew. It was quiet, maybe even too quiet, as no one ever knew what would be lurking in the shadows of this place, not even the lurkers themselves knew that for certain. An eerie and unnatural feel resonated from the cemetery, like it wasn't supposed to exist, yet it did. Quite strange. But then again, none of this bothered Indar, at all. Only if there were spiders here, now that would be bothersome.

He left his thoughts behind and started to focus on things that were important right now, like this silly lacrima, that Ombrias had forced into his body. It was making a power similar to the one he already had, flow through the body of Indar. But this lacrima wasn't just powerful itself, it felt like it was powering Indar's god slayer ability's up even more. It was a strange feeling, to have the power within you to power up, without you doing anything yourself. A feeling so unnatural, it feels like you would die from it or that something was really wrong with your body.

Indar let out a small sigh, he wasn't here to delve into his thoughts or concerns, he had come to this secluded place to train and not focus on anything else. But then again, in the hurry he had been in and the only thoughts in his mind had been about this training, he had forgotten multiple things or hadn't really made a plan for this training even. '' Well this may not be so easy, as i previously had planned. ''

Post by Felicity 12th June 2014, 9:54 pm

As the unfriendly, ice-cold wind traveled precipitously over the neglected heath, a woman made her first casual step towards the enormous entrance leading into the settlement of abandoned souls. Surprisingly, she continued at a steady pace towards the screeching, corroded gateway and felt the irregular, jagged rocks as they were slowing her by a tad bit from reaching up to the gate. The closer her steps seemed to get towards the overpowering, fully grown gateway the darker the area became with the stealthily moving shadows. Looking up, the emerald orbs only caught sight of a colossal gate towering over her.
'The attempts they make to scare people away... Naive.'
She simply made an attempt to curiously peek through the gate. However, by performing this she only found that her eyes could not see much through it at all but just a pitch-black darkened area. It was as if; a magical and dimensional portal, which traveled people to something further than the zodiac.
With her lips curling in disdain, she pulled the rusted gate open, finding herself in a whole new unnatural world.
A disappointed click of her tongue rang out in the still darkness, as the Slayer's eyes caught sight of the huge amounts of rotting gravestones in the extremely vast area contained in by gloomy, overpowering trees. Before entering the graveyard she noticed that there seemed to be no stars in the sky except for one, which seemed to be strongly battling and competing with the rest of the darkness in the sky.
Yes, it was undoubtedly hard to battle against darkness. Defeating it was almost a feat impossible, because its vines and roots ran deep within everyone's soul.
Back to the matter at hand though, the woman; Aedre, had no exact idea as to why she was here. It was just some sudden curiosity that she decided to act upon and sate. Besides, wandering without a set destination came naturally to the white-haired woman and funnily enough, such rendezvous always brought new discoveries in her direction.
Grayish white head stones dotted the landscape before her eyes. Ghostly sentinels against those who would trespass this hallowed ground, against those who would dare disturb their eternal slumber. Everywhere she turned, a silence prevailed, yet not so silent that no noise at all spoke to her un-steadied nerve. Amongst the tree's, the wind whispered, as if calling to anyone who was willing to lend an ear.
A bush, its living green now dormant rattled against some unknown tombstone.
'Wait---' Aedre's senses were jolted into direction when a very particular scent hit her flawless Slayer sense of smell. Suddenly, from that split second onward, she was no longer interested in the names embedded into the gravestones; but instead her interest lied in finding this God Slayer.
She followed the scent, her steps cautious for natural reasons; afterall, a cemetery wasn't the best place to take a walk in.
'Right there.' A fleeting thought, as Aedre noticed a figure sitting in a little distance away, seemingly calm and peaceful in this eerie atmosphere.
Now, this was indeed surprising, for there were a very few people who stayed at ease in a graveyard. People like her. This deserved all her interest.
She approached, not even bothering to fake-clear her throat to make the person aware of her presence. With a few steps she figured out that it was a man, quite lean and with blonde hair that shone out in the dim light of the cosmos.
'Huh?' A bothering fact made her scrunch her eyebrows; for she had noticed that there was absolutely no magical aura that surrounded this guy. It certainly felt weird to her logic, because if he was a God Slayer he had to be a mage... 'That's odd.'
But, there was only one way to figure out the real deal, "Quite at ease in a cemetery, eh?" Aedre questioned, announcing her arrival with that.
"I was always under the presumption that Gods preferred to keep out of the affairs of mortals... affairs like death. Maybe I was wrong- to believe that they favored something like heaven, rather than a hell like earth." She spoke, stressing on the word God to make him understand that she knew of his identity.

Post by Indiana Jones 19th June 2014, 3:57 pm

It was strange, Indar felt a faint presence in this cemetery, though too faint for him to track it. For some reason, his magic was gone from him, the aura vanished. He guessed it was due to the lacrima in his body, but wasn't sure on it. It may have been caused by something else as well. Although, someone was in the vicinity and Indar really did think he was hallucinating it, until a voice cut through the silence. A voice of a woman. It was interesting, she seemed to know of Indar being a god slayer, so there was no point to hiding it, but to her question, Indar lacked an answer right away, so for a minute or so, he stayed quiet.

" Well, this is a quiet place, that's really all that mattered. " A smirk appeared on his face, this was really intiguing to him, to meet someone in thsi cemetary. " Keeping out of mortal affairs is a different thing to sending them to hell or heaven. And it really depends on the god, if they either prefer to just rule in their shiny throne at heaven or hell, or to be here, down on earth, judging over mortals at their free will and taking the lives of those they deem unworthy. " He let out a small laugh, that sounded a little insane in it's origin. " And really, ending their lives in this pointless world provides much needed entertainment. "

Indar wasn't sure how this woman would respond to this, but it didn't matter to him really. He knew people judged him for his ways, as they didn't contain useless things like morals and compassion, things that held a person down. Thing that weren't needed to achive Indar's goals. After that though, Indar tuned to the woman: " But what about you, this cemetary is usually empty when i visit and you seem to have things to do with gods as well. " This was really only a guess, but hopefully Indar was right with it.

" Well, this is a quiet place, that's really all that mattered. " The blonde spoke, causing a smile to form onto Aedre's features. The realization that someone who enjoyed the quiet and calm as well, made them similar to her. The woman prized it a lot, since she found it much soothing than the daily dose of noises that surrounded her wherever she went; and ofcourse, as a mage, there was really no remedy to it.
Unless, one decided to go on a lookout for a peaceful place every now and then. Now, apart from her suspicion of him being a God Slayer; this little preference of theirs made them some sort of kindred spirits.
His next words caught her attention and the thoughts in the white-haired woman's head vanished along with her smile. Instead, her eyebrows scrunched up in surprise and she took a few steps forward, proceeding to sit on a gravestone opposite to the young man.
She could see a verbal sparrer in him, just like a few others that she personally knew. However, what remained was the fact that Aedre's words were never meant to start out a discussion of any kind- it was just meant to confirm the man's identity.
She raised an eyebrow in curiosity when she heard him laugh, a hysterical little laugh that could've given normal people some goosebumps and an expectation of something bad. But, he was now dealing with a woman who was far too used to such reactions; if anything, she could behave in a similar way at times.
" And really, ending their lives in this pointless world provides much needed entertainment. "
A sly smile crept up the woman's lips, "I agree without a doubt. That's the way the Gods bring you up- for they teach you to be merciless. Its their innate habit and they pass it onto their students... Afterall, passing judgement on mortals for your entire life is bound to absorb every ounce of mercy out." She stated, her eyes locked onto the guy's similarly colored ones.
" But what about you, this cemetary is usually empty when i visit and you seem to have things to do with gods as well. "
A chuckle left Aedre as she listened to his presumption, but it didn't last long, "Ofcourse I have some relation to Gods... normal people won't come and talk to you so randomly. If they did, that'd be some colossal co-incidence... But, speaking of me being here... it was just a search for some peace." With that, the thoughts of her entire week flushed into her mind, making the woman cringe slightly when she continued, "And just like you, I chose this place. Although I'm not a everyday visitor..."
It was the fact. Aedre's choice of visits changed every single day. Her quest of finding some silence was better aimed at random places rather than having a fixed place that wad close to her heart or anything. Being a dark mage came with certain disadvantages as well; for with the freedom came some restrictions too.
The Magic Coucil's intel wasn't as bad as mages on the dark side thought. No one could know better than a member of the Crawford family... Afterall, she had spent most of her childhood in the Council's presence.
"I wonder though- why does a God Slayer like you, not emit the usual aura?" Aedre questioned, her curiosity working at its best. She was never worried of asking a question since, 'Inquisitiveness exists for a reason.'

Indar couldn't help but smile at the woman's words. Finally, someone who held the same ideas as Indar in the aspect of killing people that is. And merciless was truly the right word for the gods or at least the one that Indar knew. Funnily if it hadn't been for Ombrias wanting Indar to be even more powerful, he wouldn't be here right now.

Indar snapped out of his thoughts, as he listened to the woman's question. He hadn't even noticed that his aura had disappeared, he knew he couldn't use magic, so the aura loss probably came from there as well. He didn't even really know how to explain it, but he would try to give this woman an explanation that fitted. He let out a sigh, he was normal for now, his mind fully under his control. ''My aura, has probably disappeared due to the god who, i have to call grandfather. And before anything, he really is my grandfather, not just something i call him. But basically, my aura is lost due to something he placed inside me, apparently this thing was supposed to make me stronger, but depleted all my magical capabilities instead.'' It was strange trying to explain this to someone, a normal person wouldn't believe anyone calling themselves the grandson of a god, but Indar had no reason to think that up. He wasn't a real god, but a demigod. His father had been a god, one with no power or want for it though, a weakling.

''Being a God Slayer, with no magical power, is quite annoying.'' He let out a small laugh, he made himself seen a little pathetic, though at the moment, that was what he was really.

Post by Felicity 7th July 2014, 10:12 pm

Listening to Indar's explanation, the white-haired woman simply nodded- her mind trying to work out what exactly the blonde's grandfather could have placed inside his body. She was, without doubt, curious as ever; since it would be the first time that she came upon someone saying that their magic power simply switched off. That oo, just because they had something placed inside their body. Speaking of object placed inside a mage, the only conclusion that the Slayer could come up with was a Lacrima. Something that she herself had to deal with- before it fused with her previous magic and made her what she is presently; a God Slayer. Basically, the lacrima had tainted the arcane power that the woman had weilded since the beginning- thus transforming it into something entirely new.
"Would that be a... lacrima?" She questioned, while deeming her inquisitiveness as worth a shot. She generally wasn't the type to poke her head into other people's business ot personal matters, especially so if they were complete strangers. But, as mentioned before, her interest in certain things could over-rule her personality completely.
Now that she thought about it, her logic made sense; since the blonde mage mentioned that his grandfather was supposedly trying to make him stronger. A Lacrima would be the best guess. Question was, what kind of lacrima?
There was also something more interesting in the young man before her, since he claimed that his supposed-to-be mentor was actually his grandfather- implying that he was a demigod by blood.
But, that was something that Aedre could eventually know more about; while considering that both the Slayer actually engaged in a bit more of conversation.
"Being a God Slayer, with no magical power, is quite annoying." The woman heard him say, causing a smirk to envelop her features, as she gazed at him with mild interest reflecting in her eyes.
"I think there is a way out of it- out of this little problem of yours. I'm willing to help... question is, will you accept it?" She put it out there, as bluntly as possible. As much as Aedre had understood the man in this few minutes; both of them shared quite a few traits in common. This fact, made the chances of him refusing her offer quite high.
"But, before that... I think I deserve to know who you actually are." She stated, before giving a quick glance to the dark skies above- taking the opportunity to ponder over something.
"Oh and as far as my introduction will go... how about I promise to give it to you once you accept my offer? I warn you though, this training is going to cause quite some trouble and the only assurance that you will succeed depends on your perseverance."
The woman was indeed a bit treacherous, but... she kept her words.

Indar looked towards the woman, nodding at her question. It was truly a lacrima, a lacrima holding the power, very similar to the one Indar already had in him. The power of the metal god. ''It's the lacrima of the Metallic God. It's supposed to infuse with the power i had in my before, which was the Metallic God Slayer.''

He stopped talking, hearing out what the woman said. It was quite the interesting offer he was given. One he wouldn't want to miss really. It would hopefully get him his power back or at least help him understand why it was missing. With that in his mind, he did remember Ombrias saying something about the lacrima, mention that something similar has been done with Dragon Slayers before. Infusing the mage with the lacrima of their respective element, giving them a massive power boost and allowing the usages of a special skill, only usually achievable when certain conditions were met. It had been an interesting talk, but Indar hadn't understood it at that point.

Though, the offer. ''I'll accept the offer, it would prove useful.'' He then turned to the woman, with a sly smile on his face. ''The name's Indar Blackshield, The Metallic God Slayer.'' He wasn't sure what to say more, it wasn't like there was something that special about him, well he didn't know it for sure. He knew he was of god origin, but there was no way to prove it to her. Not a single way.

''So, when does this offer start?''

Listening to the blonde accepting her offer and introducing himself, a minimal smile curved its way up her lips; one that was devoid of the feelings that should generally accompany such a blissful facial expression.
'Indar Blackshield, I shouldn't be surprised.' Aedre mused in her head, now immediately recognizing the name and also feeling a spark of sly happiness igniting inside her- since she had finally managed to find and connect a face with that name. It was an indentity that the Magic Cuncil has branded as a Coming Storm and it included all those mages that could cause problems for the wizarding world later on... All kinds of problems.
"I really am glad to make your acquaintance, Blackshield. Afterall, you're generating quite the buzz on both the sides of the alignment spectrum." The white-haired woman stated honestly, while almost chuckling inwardly that she had never managed it into the so-called list.
It was not because she was not deemed threat enough- but instead due to the fact that her power was on a greater level; so much so, that the Council must have considered it odd to simply keep a track on her and not arrest her as soon as she was seen anywhere.
Yes, the storms were mostly kept an eye on, but they weren't arrested on the spot. They were deemed a threat but not yet confirmed as a threat.
Besides, Aedre had attacked a former Council member in Era and was even known as the Second-in-command of Savage Skull... so, she had quite the titular advantages in the Council's registry.
But, back to the current situation; the Slayer was pretty interested in helping this man out. Not only was he a fellow dark mage and Slayer, he belonged to the third generation category too.
It'll be quite the experience and information-gathering session for Aedre, to say the least. She could finally witness what the hype was about this brand of Slayers.
"So, when does this offer start?" Indar's question snapped her out of the thought process, causing a chuckle to escape her lips.
"Quite impatient, aren't we?" She inquired rhetorically, while outstretching her hand and opening the palm before her face. In between the gloved fingers, a small rectangular device will materialize, and Aedre spoke once again, "I always wanted to try this... The shops in Talonia sell quite fascinating objects, you know." The white-haired woman rolled and turned it around in her hand, examining the device curiosly- while letting out a soft sigh.
"I barely get time for myself- so never got the chance to test this out. But... now I can." She muttered and looked up at the blonde mage with a sly smile on her lips.
There was a small button on the device, which Aedre clicked without a single care; while at the same time, she stood up from her seat and took a few steps back from Indar.
If he was to notice, there would be some soft rustling in a bush nearby and a thin shadow of a creature had crept out of the leaves and came out into the light.
It was standing in the direction behind Indar, thus it was only visible to Aedre and when she saw it, her smile widened into a playful grin.
'So it works.' She concluded, while turning around and walking near a tree- to which she rested her back against and assumed a comfortable stance.
"Blackshield! I spent quite some money on this... Try and make sure that I can shove it back in the shopkeeper's face and say that it was useless." Aedre shouted, while taking a greater notice of the creature that she had summoned with her little toy.
A Vulcan; about a head shorter than Indar, with a swarthy, clever face, pointed ears and arched up eyebrows that were upswept- with a sickening green tinge to his skin and carrying a saber in its hand. A foe that was only formidable for mages who had just started controlling the true power of the arcane.

This was the start to it then. The way to get his magic back, hopefully. And it all started with him fighting a vulcan. This was kinda anticlimactic, but Indar couldn't care less. He got up from his seat, still staying silent and only gave a smirk to Aedre, like an okay. A vulcan, a weak one at that couldn't be more easy to fight for Indar.

As he stood in front of the beast, he could feel his power trying to unlock itself, but to no avail. That wasn't the best, but he could hopefully handle it, which would really be nice. When Indar just stood there and thought, the vulcan grew impatient and charged forward at him, aiming his sword at Indar's head.

In a split second though, something happened, a new power emerged from Indar. Something he hadn't been able to use before, a power which wasn't that amazing though. His eyes and mouth started to glow with a dark aura, as the sword game forward to his face, it dissolved right in front of it, becoming energy that Indar could consume right there, in that moment.

Indar just stood there, a little baffled, just as the monkey, but Indar recovered quickly. With a swift movement and the adrenaline from the new power he surged forward and landed punches into the vulcan, forcing it down onto the ground. After witch he kept repeatedly punching it, until the life force of the vulcan was gone.

He turned his head to face Aedre and with a smirk on his face, he said: ''What's next?''.
