Job: I Want Cookies! [Indar/Viola]

Shortly after completing his first job, Yukine had felt as though it'd be fitting to grab another request. This one, however, was pretty strange. Overlapping the job request was a list of complaints people had made about a particular child within the Spooky Forest. This child was a boy, and as the note read, was addicted to junk food- cookies, specifically. Yukine found it funny to start a job like this, and so he decided to commit to it. To his surprise, however, apparently there were two friends who wished to join him in the process: Indar and Viola. Yukine always had suspicions about these two, though as always, he kept quiet about these sort of feelings. Aside from knowing that he'd be accompanied in this job, Yukine wondered why this boy was in the Spooky Forest, of all places, and worried that he might cause trouble, as the note implied.

Yukine, who had settled in the guild, awaiting the presence of the other two taking the job, sat near the bar counter, planning out this job. He had feelings that this job would involve many more difficulties than his first job, and so he had made blueprints beforehand about how to approach the boy. Just in case, Yukine also wished to hand the blueprint to Viola and Indar, wondering what they thought of the scenario. Yukine was unfamiliar of what existed in the Spooky Forest, after all. "What to do? What to do?" Yukine thought aloud, still wondering how he would approach the boy. Occasionally, he would grunt in frustration, indirectly requesting the assistance of the two who would come to accompany him. It was normal for one such as himself to be confused about a mission, anyways. It hadn't been that long since Yukine first entered the guild, anyways.

Indar pushed open the bar doors, looking for his two partners for the job, Yukine and Viola. He had asked Yukine if he could join them and well they had accepted. He sighted them near the bar counter, not talking but just doing something. Viola seemed to be upset with Melody again, which seemed to happen sometimes. He hoped Viola wouldn't notice him arriving a little late again, as he didn't wish to meet angry Viola again. Indar causally walked to them and said: ''Hello, i'm not late aren't i?'' He was kinda nervous when he said that, but hopefully Viola would be too busy with Melody and not notice him for the moment at least. He sighed for a second, until looking at Yukine, ''So what is this job exactly about?'' As he finished the question, he grabbed a bottle of whiskey form the bar, poured himself a drink and took a sip.

Yukine continued working on his project for this job until he heard a voice. He turned around, and noticed Viola immediately. He looked at her curiously while she seemed to be messing with Melody, no clue as to what was going on, but letting it be. "Hello, Viola!" He greeted before watching the guild door open. Indar had now joined them, seemingly, and made Yukine laugh as the man wondered if he were late for the job. "You're perfectly fine." Yukine commented before hearing Indar's true question. Yukine looked down at his project before turning over to Indar once more. "There is a little boy in the Spooky Forest." Yukine explained, "He seems to be causing a ruckus, and requesting cookies in a loud tone. This Forest is rumoured to have strange creatures living within it, and people are complaining that this boy's outburst may cause them to attack the civilians." With this being said, Yukine closed his blueprints, and handed one each to his partners. He further explained how these blueprints indicated how they could catch the boy without causing trouble, though nothing was for certain. Yukine stood up, and grinned as there was one small detail he forgot to mention. "By the way, you cannot harm this boy, or else we get no reward. If these blueprints don't work, we'll have to play this job by ear." Yukine was honestly scared about failing this job, for failure normally meant depression with his personality. He looked at Viola and Indar with concern on his face, wondering what they thought.

Indar smiled at Viola, when he noticed her face turning a little red. He also noticed her almost crushing Melody, but wasn't going to mention it. He turned to Yukine as he told them about the job, it seemed a boy, who felt like a spoiled little brat, was in a forest, screaming for cookies. It just sounded so absurd to Indar and for a second he thought Yukine was joking, but he wasn't. Indar sighed, he didn't really like the sound of this job, as he wasn't that great with children, especially needy ones. Yukine also handed Indar and Viola some kind of plans or blueprints and said: "By the way, you cannot harm this boy, or else we get no reward. If these blueprints don't work, we'll have to play this job by ear." The no hurting thing just made this job even worse, but at least they had some kind of plan, not like usually.

Soon, Viola had gotten up and walked to the door, waving to Indar and Yukine she sang: "Well, come'on! Let's do this!~" Indar stuffed the blueprints into his bag and followed Viola out of the bar.

As he was invited to leave the guild, and join Viola and Indar, Yukine gladly followed them, still wondering what they thought about in regards to capturing this boy. Yukine seemed to take the lead as he ran past Viola and Indar. He volunteered to help the two get to this boy's location, and see what was going on. "So who here is good with handling children?" Yukine asked jokingly while all seemed calm. He at least wanted to cheer up his group before dealing with this tragedy.

Even once and a while, Yukine would turn back, attempting to see any growing emotions his group may have had over this job. Yukine honestly thought more thoroughly about who may be the true troublemaker; the boy, or the living creatures in the forest. Albeit, Yukine was prepared for the worst, having acted fearless for the time being. First, Yukine wished to see what was driving this boy insane. Then, Yukine wanted to investigate the potential hazards this boy's rampaging could cause. He stopped for a moment, and turned back to his group, concerned again. "Before we get into the job, I just wanna say I'm not the most offensive Mage there is." Yukine admitted, "In fact, if anything, I am more supporting, and so if you two are good at running the front lines, everything should be just fine.

Indar walked behind the group, listening to what Yukine and Viola were talking about. As Yukine asked if any of them were good with children. Indar fell into thought, he didn't really like younger children, but then again he had always wanted his own. Then again. he almost hated children when they were aged 3-6. Just something about them, he couldn't stand. He looked at Yukine and said: ''I'm okay with children, but really not better than the next guy.'' There was a small frown on his face, as his head turned towards the ground.

What Yukine said next surprised him, he wasn't a fighter mage, even though he had said when they first that he was strong. He sighed for a second and said:'' Well i can handle most things that we might come up, but Viola is probably stronger than me.'' He had a smile on his face as he moved right behind Viola and placed his hand on her head. Smiling brightly towards her:'' Isn't that right?''

"In that case, I'll take the front lines." Yukine suggested, "As a child, I was never given the opportunity to see another eye-to-eye. However, now that I'm older, and especially in a guild, I can see what dealing with children is really like." As the group came closer and closer to the Spooky Forest, Yukine had made a Sekki between his sword and ace Regalia a: Yato. It was time he showed his fellow guild members what he was really made of. Again, Yukine stopped for a moment to speak to Indar directly. "When you asked me how strong I was, I chose not to give a proper response." Yukine commented, "You see, though I may think I'm strong as a Mage, I don't appreciate comparing myself to others until moments like this occur." With this being said, Yukine also heard the comment Indar made about Viola, and the affection he showed her. "I don't recall you two being this close the last time we encountered each other." Yukine mentioned before turning his back to them, once again. If he wanted anything to do with romance, it was to be with his own girlfriend; not spectate another couple.

From a distance now, Yukine had heard some screaming and panicking. Ignoring his fellow guild members, Yukine rushed to the scene to try and figure out what was going on. However, while he attempted to do so, three unknown creatures appeared. Yukine prepared Yato, ready to fight. "You who would desecrate this land of the rising sun, with the advent, I, Kichiro Yukine, lay waste with the Sekki, and expel thy vast defilement!"

Indar stopped a few seconds later when Yukine had stopped. He stood next to Viola, listening to Yukine talk. He was a little surprised of what he was saying, but didn't really mind. Indar hadn't got a clue on how to answer. Indar ideas about strength and power seemed to differ a little bit from Yukines. Indar just thought of power as raw strength, but he had been proven wrong about things multiple times before.

He kept listening, but as Yukine said: "I don't recall you two being this close the last time we encountered each other." Indar turned his face away, remembering the things that had happened in the past few days, but not going to mention them to Yukine. He just nodded at Yukine.

There were weird noises coming from further away, definitely monster noises. He walked behind Viola and Yukine towards the area where the noises where coming from. Suddenly three monsters jumped out of a bush, making weird noises.

'Monster Dice' :

Yukine acted fearlessly as he encountered the beasts. He could hear Viola shouting at him in the background, though he thought to himself "I've gotta do this!" With this being said, Yukine jumped against a tree before he used the power of Yato, his speed now increased drastically, and his form more agile. He manipulated the speed boost to quickly bounce off the tree, and attempt to hammer one of the weaker monsters in the head. His sword was prepared to penetrate the weak monster's skull, and ultimately, kill it. An aura of white light could be seen around Yukine as while using a Regalia effectively, his Sekki tattoo glowed to great extents.

[If The Monster Is To Be Killed]

After Yukine had killed one of the weaker monsters, he would swiftly remove the blade of Yato out of the beast's penetrated skull, then quickly distance himself from the remaining monsters. However, as he noticed the remaining monsters approach him immediately, Yukine grunted, slightly worried. Seeing as they were quite heavy, Yukine would have the soul of Yato merge with his to gain his additional effect.

Indar was observing Yukine fight, he did seem to have some skill to fight, as he had dispatched of one of the monster with ease, but another vulcan was walking closer to him. Indar had a plan on how to take it out quickly, but just as he prepared to attack it, he heard Viola call out in pain. Indar attention diverted from the vulcan onto Viola. His anger rising, he remained on the course on attacking the vulcan, but now wanting to have different results. He reached the vulcan in a few second, saying something and then kicking it in the face, sending it flying straight into the bandit, knocking him off of Viola. Indar landed on his feet and rushed to Viola.

Reaching Viola, he place his hand behind her back, raising her up just a little bit. Indar had a concerned look on his face, the wound was bleeding fairly badly and he had no way to stop it as of now. His sight diverted to Yukine for a second: ''Take care of the bandit and the vulcan.'' Nothing else to say, he picked Viola up and carried her near a tree. He sat her down next to it and pulled up her shirt enough, for him to see the wound. Indar knew what to do, but had no supplies at hand. He looked at Viola with a concerned look on his face again, not saying anything. Indar was worried about her, hoping the bleeding would stop.

Yukine began to notice tears on his face as Indar called to him, which caused him to take a look at the stabbed Viola. "You hurt my friends!" Yukine shouted towards both the Vulcan and the bandit. Feeling humiliated at the time, Yukine became quite angered, the result of this caused him to reveal his fullest extent against the normal-ranked monster. Utilizing the tree again, Yukine bounced off the tree while the normal-ranked monster attempted to strike it, causing large chunks of the tree to head in Yukine's direction. Manipulating the full effects of Yato, Yukine began to bounce off the chunks of wood, sending him airborne. After this, he took an aerial strike towards the strong beast, slashing through the back of his neck. After this, Yukine quickly used the ability of Yato to boost the speed of his sword's slash, ripping through the backside of the monster, and eventually circulated around his chest. The assault ended with a full ring of torn skin and organs inside the beast, causing it to fall dead to the ground.

Yukine then proceeded swiftly behind the bandit, and pierced him through the heart. "Never diss Sabertooth!" Yukine yelled before removing the blade out of the bandit's body, also watching him fall. One could easily tell that Yukine's speed had increased through every movement, making him hard to handle, at the time. "You..." Yukine called angrily towards the remaining Vulcan, having tossed his sword toward its head, and speared the Vulcan through its head. As all four enemies had been ceased of their existence, Yukine rapidly used ReQuip to swap Yato for Hiyori. He then tossed Indar Hiyori's potion, expecting him to use it immediately. "Use that on Viola, and she'll be just fine." Yukine suggested, dropping to his knees as he examined the injured Viola, as well. Quite a bit of concern appeared on his face.

Indar caught the potion and without wasting any time, used it immediately on Viola. As he placed the potion next to him, Indar couldn't move his eyes from Viola wound. It seemed to be healing and fairly rapidly at that. He sighed in relief, Viola would be okay. Indar just waited for Viola to recover, not moving an inch. He was very thankful to Yukine, thanks to him Viola would be okay. Indar picked up the potion and handed it back to Yukine, '' Thank you '' He had his usual smile on his face when thanking Yukine, but his eyes switched back to Viola in a few seconds.

She seemed to be recovering fast, her wound was almost completely gone, but something but Indar off. Violas eyes were filled with tears. It was rare to see Viola cry, even when in pain. Indar moved closer and gave her a tight hug, trying to comfort her. He did let go after some seconds. Indar stood up and held his hand out for Viola, '' Let's go Viola. '' Indar had the usual smile on his face while saying that.

Yukine smiled back to Indar as it seemed everything would be fine. He felt bad for making such an outburst, though at the same time, Yukine was impressed with himself as he single-handedly killed four opponents. "Take care of Viola." Yukine demanded, "I'm going hunting for this boy. We mustn't risk any further danger coming our way." Having said this, without waiting for a response, Yukine swiftly proceeded down a path that led to those extreme noises.

On his way there, Yukine met the boy he was looking for. Surprisingly, he looked quite fearsome; something was incredibly wrong with a child. As a response for what he had seen, Yukine swapped Hiyori for Yato. He needed to show this boy that his behaviour was unacceptable, and leading to danger. Yukine had to get him out of there, as soon as possible. "I hope they're okay..." Yukine muttered.

Indar nodded to Yukines order to protect Viola. He had no plan of leaving Violas side, through all of this. He was still a little worried about Yukine, what if he would get attacked by multiple enemies or something happened. When Viola got up, she looked a worried as well, they both had probably had the same fears, that one of their friends might be in trouble. This wasn't something they could ignore, but right when Indar wanted to answer Viola, she pulled him along with her. It came all of a sudden and Indar got a little confused, maybe Viola could feel Yukines presence or magic power.

Indar was still a little surprised on how quickly Viola had recovered, but really didn't know how. He was in a weird mood at the moment, not knowing what to do, as he let himself be pulled along with Viola, who was moving towards somewhere at a steady pace. They seemed to reach some sort of clearing, where Yukine was and also there was the little brat they had come to find.

Yukine eventually found the boy who was frightening the innocent civilians. He asked him to turn around, only to see something that made Yukine's jaw drop. This boy was not normal. Darkness had enveloped most of his left eye, and his pupil now looked as though it were an orange ring. "Give me a cookie?" The boy requested in a creepy tone, almost as if he were possessed. Yukine shook his head towards the boy. "I would give you a cookie, but you have seemed to cause quite a ruckus." Yukine explained. After he said this, just in case, Yukine counted to six in his mind, a awaiting Nora. He wanted to test if this boy was being possessed, and if so, seeing things in a different manner. "Perish." The boy commanded suddenly. This is when the most horrific event occurred. The boy opened its mouth, and a demon appeared from inside his body. After this, however, the boy fell unconscious. On the contrary, once the demon arrived, Yukine was now wearing Nora, meaning anything this creature saw of him was doubled.

The demon attempted to go on a rampage against Yukine. He threw a bombardment of attacks on Yukine, some of which managed to scratch his chest and leave rips in his clothing, though others missed. Yukine cried some more as he felt guilty for letting Viola get hurt. The fight continued to go left and right; Yukine receiving more scratches upon his body, while Yato left piercings in the demon's chest. Yukine had no choice but to go full-out on the beast. Using the full effects of Yato, Yukine chanted: "You who would desecrate this land of the rising sun, with the advent, I, Kichiro Yukine, lay waste with the Sekki, and expel thy vast defilement." With this, Yukine was now rapidly slashing through the demon, opening gaps in his upper body. The demon, however, managed to knock the sword airborne, though this wasn't enough to stop Yukine. Yukine utilized his previous routine of bouncing off trees to send himself airborne, then grabbed the sword in the sky with both hands. After this, Yukine spun swiftly with the sword point forward as he descended, also enhanced by gravity until he came into contact with the abnormal being. Upon impact, the swift tactic Yukine formed decapitated the demon, and killed it. Yukine picked up the unconscious boy, afterwards, the Sekki host's shirt and pants shredded, and wounds that crossed around his upper body. Yukine wasn't in a good state anymore, though he still smiled to the boy as he woke up and said: "Let's go home."

Indar stared at the battle, not looking away from the boy. He reminded him of someone, someone who had been possessed like that and had done horrible things while possessed. His mind had multiple thought about theses things going through it, not really understanding the boy's condition. Indar wanted to see the demon, he thought it may know anything about the one's he had faced as a boy.

Indar shook his head, removing the thought and focusing on Yukine. He had defeated the demon by now and was walking towards Indar and Viola, who was holding onto Indar's shirts sleeve. Indar did look concerned when looking at Yukine, but it may have been a little fake. He found it hard to be really concerned about people he didn't know very well, but he still didn't want to see them in pain. His eyes darted to Viola, when she asked Yukine about his condition. Indar wanted to know this as well. It was important, to both Viola and Indar, but fairly certainly more to Viola. Indar just stood there, next to Viola, not moving.
