Gabriel snuck through Cedar, a giant bag on his back. The pirate darted from shadow to shadow. For once, his ever chattering mouth lay silent in one grim line. He'd seen the future. Something terrible would arise from Cedar. The potential for it to evolve into a Temporal Blight couldn't be ignored. A Spatial Rift wouldn't bother him too much but the vision hadn't been entirely clear. Unfortunately, the blurry quality of the vision kept him from pinpointing a specific person or family to eliminate. Thus the entire port of Cedar needed to disappear. Hundreds of thousands sacrificed for the good of the timeline.

The bluette decided the cathedral had the best destruction potential. Many people moved in and out of that place. If he put the bomb there, most of the population would suffer. Those at the edges of the blast could be picked off by his pirate crew. Anyone that withstood the blast would be Gabriel's prey. The time protector paused in his path. Couldn't he hire someone to destroy the city? This dimension had many powerful dark mages. They would have little trouble wiping a city off the map. Of course, that would be hiring villains! Gabriel held true to the path of a hero. It would be hard if someone discovered his role here. The public would turn against him. The bluette threw his head back to dramatically sweep his hair away from his face. Let him sacrifice his public approval for the good of the timeline. He continued, resolute.

The cathedral came into view. Gabriel double checked his package. Secure with a nice message for anyone that might run into it. He noticed a couple peering at him from across the street. Couldn't have that now could we? The slayer stretched out his hand. "Say hello to the gods for me will you? I'll come for their heads eventually." With that, Gabriel phased them out of time and space into the phantom space. A place between time, between space where a second could be hundreds of years elsewhere. A place that Gabriel had gotten lost in once. Never again.

The pirate mage moved toward the cathedral, using the crowds to conceal his movements. Stealth couldn't be used in the large plaza before the church. He got a few looks for bumping people with his pack. Gabriel felt a familiar bloodlust after some choice words were thrown his way. No, can't draw attention, else the Rune Knights will misunderstand and stop me. Besides, those rude peasants would be dead soon. A perfect punishment for their daring to lay a hand upon his visage. Gabriel stopped in the doorway to touch his hand to the frame. A shame that this building would have to be destroyed. He'd admire it for a minute. Then the bomb could be placed and primed.
