While Rose Garden was the better spot to shop for new magic items or find new sources of information, Zachary had come to enjoy the ambiance of Rose Garden. Not only did the wizard's tower he discovered was near this town, but he loved the library that was here. While used to be the home to a rather rough guild, Phantom Lord in the long past-- that history had been put aside. It still had a lovely collection of historic and arcane resources to dwell upon. For Zachary, was also his search for rare and undiscovered Celestial Spirits and keys.

In the Grimore Library, it was frequented by many wizards who were seeking out spells and information. Zachary however, was a frequent visitor to the special Celestial Wizardry and Astromancy section, often the same section as he sat on a lone step ladder with a book in his hand. The blue-haired boy would be focused in his work, often rarely disturbed when he was delving into things.

Another fact to that area was it was rare to see others checking it out. It likely was due to a very rare few who were devoted Celestial Wizards like Zachary. Too many wizards were even killed for even owning a rare key, which Zachary worked hard to keep the keys he owned a secret, beyond the common ones he wielded often. He was always constantly aware of Leo's key he always kept on a cord around his neck, hidden under his shirt. Right now, he was trying to find common notes on the newer magic he learned-- the Arc of Cosmos. But like how most Lost Magic was, it was obscure to even find notes on it.

The only company he had at the moment, was the adorable star-shaped creature that now laid on his head. While Zachary read, the star fairy Astral napped lightly, not used to staying in one place in the library. If he did, he often caused trouble wandering around on his own...

Despite his search, Zachary sadly had little news on how the Arc of Cosmos meshed with Celestial Wizardy. However, he did find information on new spirits and areas of realms where more Celestial Spirits dwelled. There was so much he still had yet to scratch the surface of, even when he already pondered Celestial Wizardry farther than most.

Now bored, Astral would sway back and forth, rocking along Zachary's head to try and rouse him. Sadly, when Zachary was into a read, it was hard for him to stop. However, it was then that Astral took notice to the new presence of another and turned to look at the blonde at the end of the stacks. He would peer at him curiously, wondering who he was. He was a curious type, who was still new to this world. Though not a spirit as Celestial Spirits were, Astral was indeed from beyond their world if his star-like shape gave him any reference.

Zachawy... Zachawy... Astral cooed in his telepathic way of talking.

Zachary blinked as he was yanked out of the clouds of his thoughts. He glanced up at the star critter but soon his eyes too fell to the person at the end of the aisle. "Huh? Oh sorry, am I in your way?" Zachary asked as he sat on the book ladder.

He didn't know why the person was there, he didn't want to be unkind. Astral too loved meeting new people, for better or worse. While Zachary worried due to how coveted Astral was, the little star fairy had a sense of good and bad people at times. Either way, it was doubtful this person had any ill intent.

Zachary didn't mind the presence of another. Still all the while, Astral continued to float about with interest to the blonde hair kid. Zachary wished he had hair like that, but he had his mother's hair somewhat. Not that he was so vain about hair color. He was comfortable with how he was. As he had divided attention between the book he was, he realized he wasn't going to find the answers he wanted how Arc of Cosmos and Celestial Wizardy magic were connected. The best he did get, however, was information on more spirits not well recorded by common Celestial Wizardry.

Astral, however, floated closer to the boy. As he was lured by the same, Astral gave a soft chirp and smiled broadly on his adorable little face. Hellow! I'm Astwal! Astral replied in his telepathic call. Telepathy was the only real means Astral had to communicate with other people, which made things simple. Though it would easily unnerve someone who was not used to it too.

Zachary felt a bit more at ease as Astral smiled and came closer to him. While Astral was coveted for many reasons, he never mentioned the dark secrets that surrounded him. But still, what he could tell him he had no fear about. "Heh, thanks. He isn't a spirit, but he is a... well an alien of sorts," Zachary said as he saw Astral hover near the new person. "He's from far away outside of Earthland. Anyway, he loves meeting people he senses are good. "

Astral began to hover around him playfully, as if finding a new person to play with while Zachary read.

I'm Zachary, by the way. And that little guy is Astral," Zachary said as he closed t he book he was reading, a clear indication of "Celestial Spirit Constellations" written on it. "And you? You're a wizard too I presume?"

The mixture of emotions on Ryou's face made Astral look at him at different angles in the air, the little creature wondering if he was broken or something in his little mind. The star fairy would give off another little 'helloooo' in their heads, but nothing hurtful. After he finally spoke a greeting, Astral smiled brightly. Aye! New fwiend! New Fwiend!" he said and levitated circles around the blonde boy.

Convinced enough that Ryou seemed a decent sort, Zachary smiled and opened up a bit. "He is technically called a 'Star Fairy', from what I am told. It's nice to meet you." he greeted as he closed the book.

As the blonde formally introduced himself, Zachary felt more comforted to know he seemed like a decent wizard. Though it seemed Zachary was a bit rude to presume he was a wizard. As Astral continued to circle him in giddy spins, he smiled apologetically. "Um, wizard library and spellbooks-- just an educated guess. I'm a Fairy Tail wizard actually," Zachary added, showing him the logo on his hand.

At the mention of the book, he looked on the spine to see the text of the book to read the Celestial Spirit parts. He smirked, embarrassed as he handed the book to Ryou. "Yeah... I am one," he said. He reached into his pocket and withdrew the keys he had on hand, at least the ones he felt free to share. He still kept Leo's key around his neck, but he probably was in safe company. "A celestial wizard. Been doing it for a few years now. I'm sorry, you need to look up some spirits?" he said and offered him the book to read.

"I know the feeling," Zachary explained as he sat there and talked, "I am relatively new to Fairy Tail myself. I have advanced a bit but still, I feel like i have much to learn. And Sabertooth is cool. I would have joined there, but I loved Fairy Tail ever since I was a kid so... I went with that," he explained.

By that time, Astral got comfier with the other Celestial Wizard. As he talked, Astral hovered over him-- then finally plopped on top of his head, resting among his blonde curles much like he did when he met Arcadia. It seemed Ryou was just as kind as she was, and the little guy could sense that compassion. Otherwise, he wouldn't have gone near him at all.

"Yeah, there are lots of spirits and keys out there beyond the scope of normal conventional Celestial Wizardry. Some are based on the lesser-known constellations, or even constellations long forgotten or changed. Just because the constellations change, doesn't mean the spirits to the older ones doesn't exist," he explained to him and pointed to that book. "The keys are hard to find but not impossible. MOst are in the shops but rarely picked up, so you can consolidate some good spirits from those constellations. Even those from other cultures work too."

The mention of his mother did raise interest in Zachary, as he too was taught by his mother how to use Celestial Magic from her too. "That's cool. My mother taught me too. She actually is a Celestial Wizard in service with the Rune Knights too." he said and saw his keys too. He would have shared more about his mother... but what surprised him was the keys he had. Sure he had the silver keys which were pretty common, but it was the golden one that made his eyes widen. "hey wait a minute... is that , one of the zodiac keys?" He recognized it from Taurus, more so due to the fact he was born under Taurus, so he knew the sign by heart. "You're a Zodiac Keeper too?"

That would probably slip the fact Zachary did have a Zodiac key too, but he was too surprised to catch himself.

The amusement that they both had parents affiliated to the knights were a welcomed bonding experience. Zachary could only imagine why he had issues with his father. For him, Zachary and his mother had a good relationship more or less. While she was a single mother from what Zachary could remember, she had been a renowned Celestial Wizard and when Zachary expressed how strongly he wanted to learn magic, she agreed to teach him Celestial Wizardry. However, while he was glad he did-- he also wanted to make a path for his own, not simply being one to follow in his mother's shadow or follow in her footsteps completely. It was why he choose to join Fairy Tail, even though they were a shadow of their former glory... and still maintained their infamous reputation for destroying stuff.

"yeah. She serves and is a great magical consultant for the knights. My mother wasn't thrilled about me wanting to join Fairy Tail, but she respected my decision," he shared, "But she understands the value of Celestial Magic. In fact, I been able to use them in a style never before seen. I wouldn't have been able to without her guidance. "

Stellar Evolution, which was something he probably could teach Ryou if he wanted, but it required a strong use of magic and a deep connection with the spirits you had. But that would be a lesson for another time.

With the accidental slip of the Golden Keys, Zachary bit his lip and looked up to Astral now atop of Ryou's head. The little star seemed confused by the pause, tilting his head at Zachary. With a sigh of reluctance, he swallowed his pride. Likely if Astral was willing to put his trust in Ryou, showing he was a Zodiac key user wouldn't be that risky since he was one as well. Reaching for his neck, he pulled out the cord that ran under his shirt and soon pulled out the golden key hidden under it.

The fiery etchings and surrounding sun-like mane stood out proudly along with the fiery key teeth, revealing the relief of a Lion's face on the main part-- along with the symbol of "Leo" on it, showing that Zachary was the current owner of the Golden Lion's key-- Leo.

"Yeah... I presently am the owner of Leo the Lion. He likes to be called Ajani at times," Zachary explained. He would summon him, or any of his spirits in Familiar Form, but the close quarters of the library made that difficult and noisy potentially. "Finding him was a challenge, so was agreeing to form a contract with me. But we are good friends," he explained.
