So I was reading the savage skull lore and thought about the spooky forest. This area is generally the way to that guild but cannot be reached unless someone knows the secret ways that only the dark guild members would know. Because of this the spooky forest sounds like a place that could be opened to legal, neutral, and guildless mages to interact with dark mages without the nondark mages knowing of the dark guilds locations(this came up because I wanted my character to explore the spooky forest without the intention of entering the guild).
Spooky forest an explorable place?

So are you saying there is a thread already on the spooky forest? Because it is reasonable to assume while they do not own all the spooky forest they would keep patrols to make sure no one was close to finding their guild.

Savage Skull maybe does treat the Spooky Forest as it's backyard, but it is indeed open to everyone. It is just as Vincent said, they don't literally control the entire forest. Only the darkest and deepest parts, which is because they have their guild sitting there. And just as Lady Red said, the Marshes is the only official place the guild owns in the Forest. Which is also accessible for members
