Job: The Hunt [Mission - Solo]

'Monster Dice' :

Hika stared at her hand which was bitten by the fox. Drops of blood spilled onto the pure white snow. She ignored the wound on her hand and trudged away, dragging the bodies of the dead foxes and dumped them into the huge bag. She was extremely tired and she felt like she was about to pass out anytime soon. Right in the corner of her eyes, she caught sight of a little rabbit hiding behind a tree. A warm smile curved to form on her lips. She wasn't in the mood to kill off innocent rabbits. Hika pretended not to notice because she might scare the rabbit if she did. Sighing heavily, Hika dropped the bag, the motionless bears and plopped herself down onto the ground and laid against a tree.

Her eyelids felt like they had stones on them and within a few seconds, she found herself drifting off into deep sleep. Boom. Boom. She awoke to the sound of the loud footsteps and the ground shaking slightly beneath her. ".. Hm? Who in the world is disturbing my sleep?" She mumbled and rubbed her eyes open, only to see that a huge bear was striding towards her.

"Uh oh. Bloody hell. Bloody hell," Hika cursed as she backflipped and tried so stay at a distance from the bear as far as possible. She doesn't want to get injured again, after all. Hika was kind of surprised to see another 3 more snow foxes emerging behind the bear. "What, they're ganging up on me now?" She groaned and rubbed the back of her neck.

'Monster Dice' :

Hika was extremely sick of seeing bears and fighting them. She was already bored of it. Though this time it'd be a little hard for her because a group of foxes together with the bear had decided to gang up on her. She figured that she would finish off the foxes first and then defeat the bear. Hika tried to set plans to annihilate all four of them at the same time to make things faster, but what if it failed? She'd end up getting injured again. Besides, she already had a big wound on her back and on her hand. Not that she was freaking over it. But hey, it still hurts.

Either way, it wasn't a time to argue with her little brain this moment. Hika pulled her cap down over her face and bellowed, her hand spreading out wide, "Crystal Wave!" Huge invisible waves scattered into a wide area, blowing away every single thing which comes into its' way. Cracks began to appear on the ground before enormous ridges emerged out of the cracks, striking the bear and the foxes.

Hika clenched her fists as pebbles, stones and rocks from the area flew towards her and moulded to her arms and legs as if she was magnetised. Dashing towards the foxes, she attempted to give a blow in their faces but before she could do anything the foxes jumped on her and bit her arm strongly. Thank goodness she was wearing the armour, otherwise her skin would have peeled off already. Although her armour cracked slightly due to the bite. Hika shook her hand off free and kicked its' face as hard as she could, she even heard the sound of the bones cracking in the fox's sharp nose before it slumped down onto the ground.

Grabbing another fox nearby from its' nose, Hika lifted up the fox and slammed it against a tree, killing it immediately. Stomping on the ground hard, she created pillars and smacked the only remaining fox from beneath. Hika headed to the fox rapidly and jumped while twirling around and knocked it out with a strong kick. The foxes laid motionlessly underneath, blood pooling around their body.

Before Hika could turn around, she felt an icicle fell hard on her back as she whimpered slightly. "Right. I still have to deal with the bear."

Carcasses: 27

Hika positioned her cap back again and turned on her heels to face the mighty bear glaring towards her. To her surprise, the bear began making icicles and threw them to her instead of charging. Giving it a questioning look, she dodged the icicles skilfully, twirling and spinning around. Her armour was still in contact as she dashed towards the bear, jumped and spun, giving him a reverse hook kick right in the face, sending him into a far distance. Hika watched the bear roared and thumped on its' chest like King Kong before launching itself to her.

"Oooh, getting feisty, eh?" Hika smirked, trying to stoke the bear's anger. It worked. The bear roared even louder and got back on its' hind legs, attempting to crush Hika under its' feet. She placed her arms above her, blocking his attack but damn, his leg was massive. However, Hika managed to pushed the leg out of her way, due to the armour she was wearing though it later on broke into little smaller pieces and vanished into air.

Releasing her clenched fists beside her, Hika summoned a huge hammer that was almost twice her weight. She was remarkably small but her strength was relatively sturdy and powerful, compared to her figure. Hika hit the ground with her hammer, creating huge ridges that threw the bear off-balance. Swiftly, Hika dashed and swung her hammer. She landed with a thud on the ground and took strides after strides before jumping again and sent the bear a roundhouse kick. But unfortunately, she was grabbed by the leg and was thrown against a tree once again. She watched the bear pounded its' chest in triumph while she was struggling to get back up.

Her back throbbed. Hika tightened her grip on the hammer and swayed it into the bear's chest, sending him flying away. She dropped onto her knees and panted heavily. "I finally did it," The words escaped her lips. Slowly, a smile curved onto her lips as she threw her fists into the air in success. Finally, it was time to get back home.

Carcasses: 32

No one would understand how happy Hika was at that precise moment. There was no more annoying and repetitive snow bears and snow foxes. This whole hunting was worth it despite the injures and hardships she encountered. Her whole body was tingling with happiness. Grinning from ear to ear, Hika rolled around on the thick snow, parted her arms and legs and moved them sideways, creating something shaped like a fan around her limbs.

Hika was just too elated to become overwhelmed with drowsiness and exhaustion. Her injuries doesn't even matter anymore. As she stood up back on her feet, she began collecting the hunted animals to bring them back to the village. Then, she just realised that there were too many and there was no way she could carry them all back to the village at the same time. She hunted a lot, like really a lot, over 30 carcasses to be exact. Hika sighed heavily, running a hand through her lovely golden hair. She thought of an idea to deal with this issue, but came up with nothing, to no avail.

Just then, she heard a yell from a distance. "Hey! Do you need a hand?" No, I don't need a hand. I need help, She meant it as a joke and giggled to herself. Hika waved her hand up in the air towards him as the guy approached closer to her. A group of people flocked behind him. She caught sight of the girl who had helped her with the injuries. Hika smiled and bowed slightly at her, in which she received a smile back in return. "We're also the hunters sent from the village. You must be the mage," Hika flicked her eyes back to the guy who seemed to be the leader of the group and nodded.

Hika watched as the leader's eyes dropped down towards the dead animals. He pointed at it, a small gasp escaping from his lips. "Did you hunt them all alone? Wow. That's impressive! Never figured a person as small as you would be that strong," She stopped dead on her tracks and stood very still. How dare he underestimate my figure! She growled but managed to plaster a smile on her face. "Thank you. I'll take that as a compliment."

The guy waved a dismissive hand and jabbed a finger at the pile of bodies. "I suppose you need help with those bodies, right?" Hika's face lit up immediately as she nodded her head. "There're a lot and I couldn't manage to carry them all. Could you help, please?"
"Of course of course. We'll bring them together with us." Hika smiled and bowed politely at him. She threw the bag of dead foxes over her shoulder and while the others took care of the huge bodies of the bears.

"How's your injury, kid?" Hika jumped slightly, startled. "Oops. Sorry if I scared you," The girl giggled. Hika chuckled as well, "It has healed already. All thanks to you~" Both of them chatted all way back to the village though it took quite some time to walk back there. It was interesting to know people from this Frostfire village. Once they got to the village, Hika heard a man bellowed, "There they are! They're back!" Heads turned to her direction, their eyes filled with hope and anticipation.

People from the village flocked around her and the rest of the hunters. "You brought us food!" One said. "Our life saviour!" Another one added. Hika rubbed her neck nervously and let out a small smile. Following up, a bunch of compliments was showered down on her. She really wasn't used to receiving remarks. However, the loud cheer was softened down as the elder of the village made way through Hika. She stared at the lady standing in front of her, unsure what to do.

"You've done an excellent job, young mage. This whole village is now in your debt. You wouldn't understand how much you've helped us. Once again, I thank you, in place of the citizens of this village." Hika smiled and hugged the lady tightly. "I'm willing to do more for this village. So, please do not hesitate to inform me if you need any help." A roaring praise was produced, as the booming voice echoed around the village.

The whole village had a feast to celebrate and Hika was invited to it. Laughter and cheerful voices filled the whole area as they shared their food and clanked their cups of drinks together. The food was extremely appetizing and she found herself eating a whole bunch of food as if she had been starving for a whole week. It was just awesome and she was even laughing and talking jokes together with the citizens, despite how tired she may be.

The next morning approached fast. Hika prepared to leave as she packed her bags. She was already feeling better, or rather, perfectly fine, after they'd treated her injuries the last night. Cracking her knuckles, she slung her bag over her shoulder and glanced back, facing the village. The people looked tiny at a distance and they were waving at her. Hika had a huge smile on her face as she bid goodbye. She took a once last glance at the village before walking away until the village vanished slowly from her sight and set out to return back to Fiore.
