Maiden Snatcher (Deniel)

Job Description:

Deniel had his eyes closed and his arms crossed as he was listening in on the client's explanation of the job. He was inside his house sitting on a wooden table in front of him. He was a young man who's sister had been stolen. "Please, you have to go save her! I don't wanna' think about what that......THING will do to her! There might be other girls, too." Deniel finally opened his eyes and uncrossed his arms. He gave one small nod at the client and stood up. "I'll take care of it. Don't you worry." Leaning against his char was Deniel's brand new weapon: Nidhogg. The black katana was sheathed inside its scabbard, and Deniel grabbed it with his left hand. He slowly started to exit the house of the client. "I can't help BUT worry.....she's my sister after all." Deniel took note to his statement when he closed the door behind him and was once again in Magnolia. Quite some time had passed ever since he finished another job, and he was in the mood to start one again. And this time, he wanted to put his brand new weapon to good use.

He stared down at the sheathed katana inside his hands, and clenched his hand tighter around it. It was a powerful blade, he could tell, and he was looking forward to cutting something up with it. He felt what it was like to wield a blade before, and to him, it felt completely natural. He couldn't wait to feel the lightweight katana inside his hand, being swung around with skill and precisions of a devil like himself. He shook his head, he was getting off track. Deniel made his way out of Magnolia town and into the East Forest, the place in which he was supposed to be. It was time that he got himself a Vulcan or two.


The temperatures of the forest were a little bit higher than Magnolia Town, he could tell, even with this time of the year. Although, he could admit to himself, the place was quite amazing. Its natural wildlife looked exotic and unique, and they all sometimes stopped to stare at him. He didn't bother giving them a scare, they weren't doing anything wrong. The trees were all quite large, and they gave a nice feeling into the atmosphere. A small group of four legged pink creatures with colored plates on their back passed in front of Deniel. He stopped and let them go. He didn't need to cause any trouble......yet. Once he found the Vulcans, there wasn't going to be much mercy. None at all.

Once the group of creatures passed by in front of him, Deniel continued his path in walking straight forward. This was usually his plan when it came to finding something. Even though he occasionally had rotten luck when it came to things, he seemed to have a lot of luck in his jobs. Any time he needed to find something, it wasn't too hard to find. Strangely enough, he began to wonder what exactly a Vulcan was. He did live in Fiore for a bit of his life, but it wasn't his home region. He and Old Man spent a majority of his life traveling to Fiore from his home kingdom, after that, he spent most of his time outside of places that didn't have Vulcans. In fact, this was the very second time he had heard of him. The other time came from Old Man, but Deniel didn't pay too much attention to Old Man's lessons, especially about wildlife. If a Vulcan was able to capture women and get away with it, it might have been a strong creature. When he thought about this, Deniel smirked in his walking. "It should prove to be a worthy opponent, then."


Deniel didn't find a thing after about an entire hour of searching, and he decided it was time for him to take a small break. He didn't like the idea of it, especially when he witnessed the brother's grief. He didn't know what a Vulcan was, but if he didn't like the idea, then Deniel wouldn't have liked it either. Still, if he wanted to defeat it with ease, he needed to rest. It wasn't going to be long. He found a nice spot under a shady tree and sat down, he placed his katana beside him and closed his eyes. He let the scent of the nature sink in and the breeze of the East Forest on his skin. It was quite a wonderful feeling, and it was quite saddening it wasn't going to last long.

It lasted a lot sooner than Deniel expected. As another breeze came by on his skin, he suddenly heard something. It was a faint noise, but it caught his attention. He opened his eyes and stood up, grabbing his katana as well. The noise came again. It sounded familiar.....a scream......the scream of a woman! "Bingo." The sound came once again, this time much more close and clear. Deniel started to run in the direction of the noise.

'Monster Dice' :

Deniel followed the sound of the scream. It was still quite distant, but he could hear himself getting closer and closer. It sounded like a woman, and behind it came a few thundering steps. Must have been a Vulcan. Deniel's mind crept with thoughts of tearing it to pieces, of butchering it. He smacked himself in the head and shook it a few times. Those were sadistic thoughts, and of all people he hated, were sadists. He couldn't believe he was thinking like one so suddenly. The thought of it getting worse terrified him, but he was getting off track. All he needed to do was to kill the Vulcan, not let it get away or butcher it. That's how he worked. There wasn't any mercy when it came to death, but he wasn't going to make the death painful.

The sound got closer and closer, and finally, in his sight, Deniel saw two distant figures. One of them was a human figure, a woman, and another was a large ape-like appearance. Deniel didn't stop, but he looked at both of them. The woman didn't match the depiction the client gave him, but she might have been another stolen one. After all, the description said that more than one woman might have been snatched up. Deniel found this a perfect opportunity to use his new weapon. He saw the woman and the Vulcan much more clearly, and she finally noticed him. She called out to him, yelling, "HELP! HELP ME! PLEASE!" Deniel stopped running and tossed his katana into his left hand. He gripped the hilt and yelled out to her: "Duck!"

Although it took her a second or two to respond, she eventually did get down and duck. Right when she did, Deniel unsheathed the katana and slashed the air in front of him. Luckily for him, the Vulcan was far enough from him. Air pressure came right out of the blade he swung, and right before the Vulcan was about to grab the woman, the slash hit him. Deniel didn't hesitate to launch another one. He gave out two more slashes at the Vulcan, and those two hit him very shortly after the other one. The Vulcan waited for the pain to sink in, but he looked down at himself and touched his upper body. Nothing happened. He looked at Deniel and pointed his finger, laughing excessively while pounding his fist on the ground.

Deniel merely turned around and put his katana inside the scabbard, slowly pushing the blade in. The woman looked behind her at the Vulcan, who, while he was laughing, started to reach and grab her. She screamed and held her head. "YOU USELESS IDIOT! HELP!" Right before the Vulcan grabbed the woman, Deniel finished sheathing his katana, clicking it inside. As soon as he did, the Vulcan staggered back. Three cuts suddenly formed on his skin, and he was no longer laughing. He tumbled down on the ground and Deniel turned around to face him. The woman wasted no time getting up, almost tripping down again and running behind Deniel. The Vulcan stood up once again, shaking its head and looking down at the cut wounds. Now it was mad.

"You....how....did you?" The woman stared at the Vulcan and Deniel back and fourth. The Vulcan was approaching them both slowly with thundering steps. It had a very angry look on its face, but Deniel stared up at it with no fear. In fact, he stared up at it with a cocky smirk. The Vulcan lowered its head at Deniel, staring him straight in his red eyes. Deniel only said two words to the woman. "Go. Run." The Vulcan raised its fist at the both of them, and Deniel unsheathed his katana once again. His right arm turned into his Arm of the Black Devil, with its black scaled skin. This activated the passive ability of Nidhogg, and Deniel felt even more strength surge into his body, and the world seemed much more real, his senses increasing. The Vulcan smashed its fist down, and Deniel held his blade on its side to block the blow. In addition, he had his other hand on the blade to increase his defense. Once the first and the blade collided, it created a small shockwave that knocked the woman back. She finally took Deniel's advice and started to run to a nearby tree to hide behind. She started to witness the fight.

Deniel fought the Vulcan for the supremacy in strength, and he won with ease. He shoved the Vulcan's fist away, but not without giving a quick cut at its knuckles. This time, he didn't need to sheathe it inside its scabbard for the cut to kick in. The Vulcan only grunted, and then swung its entire arm at Deniel's location. Deniel wasn't ready for this, and he tried to block it with his blade once again, but was much less successful. Although with some resistance, the Vulcan eventually shoved Deniel away, making him fly straight against a tree. The Vulcan jumped and gave a bunch of "Oo-oooh"s in triumph, thinking he defeated Deniel.

His cheering didn't last long; he remembered the woman he was originally chasing, and he looked straight at her hiding behind the tree. She looked at the Vulcan in fear as it approached her, being unable to move. Deniel recovered himself and shook his head, seeing the Vulcan go for the girl once again. He stared at his right arm and used his Devil Slash on it. He ran straight at the Vulcan, leaping in the air on to its back. He started by impaling his Devil Slash blade into it, which made it stop going for the woman. He tried to reach behind himself for Deniel, but Deniel propelled himself off of its back before he could. He got its attention, and now it was time to use it. "You won't get me that easy."

The Vulcan stared at him in anger, and the woman hid behind the tree even more. Deniel just stood there, facing it with his katana in his right hand and his scabbard in his left. The Vulcan raised both of its hands in the air, clenched them together, and smashed down at Deniel's location. Deniel tumbled to the side to narrowly dodge the attack, and the Vulcan swung in his direction as soon as he recovered. This made Deniel go flying once again from behind it, but he stabbed his sword in the ground to slow down his flight, making him come to a stop. He looked up to see the Vulcan trying to punch Deniel once again. Deniel jumped in the air to dodge the attack, and landed on the arm of the Vulcan. The Vulcan tried to swing him off with his other hand, but Deniel impaled the Vulcan's own hand on his own arm. It was quite a brutal move, but it worked. The Vulcan tried to shake Deniel off, but Deniel held on to his sword's hilt with both hands. With out any hands to hit him off, the Vulcan didn't have much of a choice.

After a bit of shaking, the Vulcan used its probably-small-sized brain to good use and came up with a way to get Deniel off, or crush him. The Vulcan jumped on its side so its shoulder would hit the ground, and perhaps crush Deniel's bones and body completely. Deniel only saw one solution, before the Vulcan crushed him, he planted his feet on the ground and used all of his strength to hold it up. It was heavy, really heavy, and if it weren't for him holding Nidhogg and his secret weapon inside his body, Deniel would have been crushed easily. Deniel tried pushing it up against him, but the Vulcan lazily laid itself down, making it even more difficult for Deniel to push it up. A few drops of sweat came from his face, and his face turned as red as his eyes from so much blood going up to it.

Deniel's brain suddenly came up with an idea, and he concentrated his magical energy to create his Torso of the Black Devil. At the same time, he needed to make sure his strength didn't give away. This was quite the challenge, but Deniel eventually pulled it off. With his Torso being covered in his black scales, Deniel pushed up with all of his might and used his Reign of the Black Devil ability. This, combined with his strength, was able to knock the Vulcan off of him and into the air. Deniel spun his sword on his hand while he was in the air and jumped up to the same height. Deniel then juggled him in the air for a little longer by slashing the Vulcan. One, two, three, four, five times! Then, he ended it with one kick to send it straight to the ground. When Deniel landed, he made sure he was facing away from the Vulcan, and sheathed his katana. "Stylish finish: Check."

Once Deniel finished off the Vulcan and sheathed his blade, he walked over to its body lying on the ground and kicked it a couple of times. It didn't move. He wanted to make sure that it wasn't pulling any dirty tricks, and this made sure that it wasn't. He had finished it off. Deniel had almost forgotten the woman that the beast was chasing, and he only remembered when she slowly came out from her cover. She was a woman probably in her twenties with long brunette hair in a pink dress. She shyly stared at Deniel, and couldn't look him in the eye. "Th-thank you. Sorry for.....for calling you useless." Deniel didn't respond right away. He kicked the corpse one last time and finally stared at her. "Don't worry about it. Still, you're not the one I'm looking for. My client didn't describe the woman I'm trying to find to be you."

The woman finally stared at Deniel, and then at the Vulcan corpse. "Well, there's more of them. There isn't just one, and I'm not the only woman captured. There are multiple Vulcan capturing us woman, and there are a bit more women. I suggest you find them, fast. Please." Deniel nodded and placed his hand on her shoulder. "I will. That's what I'm here for. In the meantime, you'd better get back." She nodded at him, "Yes. I will. Good luck finding the rest of them." She ran away as fast as she could towards Magnolia Town, and shortly after, Deniel heard the scream of another girl. "I don't need it now...."

Deniel ran towards the direction of the scream. What he meant was that he didn't need luck when all he needed to do was follow the screams of girls. He heard the screams getting closer and closer. It was time for another fight. He had plenty of energy left, and he could go in another fight easily. Additionally, he still had his torso, but his Arm of the Black Devil had run out.

Deniel came upon yet another woman and a Vulcan. Instead of being chased, this one was cornered by several trees with a Vulcan closing right in on her. She was on her knees with her hands clenching her head tightly and tears rolling down her eyes which were closed tight. Deniel clenched his fist at the sight and grabbed his katana's hilt. He drew the blade and made sure he was far enough distance for the air pressure to kick in. Confirming he was, Deniel sent relentless numbers of cuts straight at the Vulcan. "Cut-off! Blast! Die! Begone! Scum!" The Vulcan turned around right after the fourth slash, and Deniel let one more go on him. Ignoring the woman, the Vulcan started to head straight for Deniel. Deniel had his back turned on it, and was slowly sheathed the blade of his katana. The woman finally looked from under her cover, surprised to know that her demise wasn't there yet. She finally saw the Vulcan raising its fist at Deniel, and she screamed: "WATCH OUT!"

The Vulcan crashed its fist down at Deniel, and he clicked his katana right in the hilt. The five cuts that Deniel sent at the Vulcan finally kicked in. Four in its back, and one in its front. With more force on the back, it couldn't help but stagger forward to Deniel, but in the nick of time, Deniel tumbled out of the way and let the beast fall on the ground. Shortly after, it got up off the ground, shaking its pointed head. Deniel slowly backed up away from the woman, and he stared over at her. "You may want to stand back." She nodded and wiped the tears away from her eyes, backing up a little further toward the trees. The Vulcan had finally gotten back on its feet and stood in Deniel's direction with anger on its face.

Deniel felt the energy of his Reign of the Black Devil surge back inside him. The strength of his torso began to dwindle, but he knew he still had some time left. And that's all he needed. The Vulcan raised its fist to hit Deniel, but once again he tumbled out of the way. Once he recovered himself, it had already raised both of its fist clenched together to crash them down at him. Narrowly dodging it, Deniel unsheathed his katana and sent two more blows to its hand. The beast swung its arm at Deniel, and that didn't give Deniel any time to sheathe his katana. He jumped over the blow and landed. Once he landed, the Vulcan swung its arm the other way. Deniel didn't have time to dodge this one, and the blow hit him with full force. Just like last time, as he was sent flying, he stabbed his sword inside the ground to slow down his speed and make it so he wouldn't land a harsh one.

He clenched his fist on his katana and drew it from the ground. Deniel ran straight for the Vulcan, and it prepared itself for another swing. Once Deniel got close enough, it sent its fist straight at him. Right at that moment, Deniel used his Reign of the Black Devil before the fist hit him. This caused it to stagger back and its fist to be pushed back. With that opening, Deniel jumped in for the kill. He slashed the Vulcan three times in the chest area, and then finished it off with one stab in the chest. Once again, no mercy. Deniel let the corpse fall, and he sheathed his katana. Now, he headed over to the woman he just saved.

She had been coming out of her cover slowly. This one didn't match the description the client gave him either. She wore a violet dress with very dark brown hair. Her face was heavily made up, with plenty of eye liner and blush. She shyly looked at him like the last one. "Th-Thank you....." Deniel was about to say "You're welcome", but he heard more thundering footsteps behind him.

Deniel turned around to see another Vulcan coming from the trees. This one stopped at the corpse of the first one, and looked down at it. For a second, it looked like it was mourning the death of the other one, but then its expression turned to anger. Deniel looked back at the woman for a second and then drew his katana once again. "Go! Hide!" She nodded an ran for cover once again. Deniel braced himself and the Vulcan started to charge straight at him, running on all fours. This Vulcan was surprisingly fast, and caught Deniel completely off-guard. Before he could do anything, the Vulcan had girded Deniel's waist with its hand, and slammed him straight in a tree branch. The Vulcan had Deniel in a tight grip, and he couldn't move a muscle.

His katana was back where Deniel once stood, laying there on the ground. The Vulcan clenched its other fist and then began to mercilessly punch Deniel's head as he was pinned down. With just a few punches, Deniel began to bleed, and his head feel light. He thought this might just be the end for him. So simple for him to die.....it was pathetic. Right before one more punch went in on him, the Vulcan suddenly turned its head to the woman. Deniel's eyesight was somewhat blurry from his light head, but he could see her throwing rocks at it. She looked scared out of her mind.

Deniel felt the grip loosen on him, and this was his opportunity. He slowly squeezed himself out of the Vulcan's grip and hopped on the hand. It was at this time that the beast had finally noticed him come out of its hand, and it panicked. It tried to reach for him again, but Deniel had narrowly dodged it. He hopped off of the Vulcan's hand and went straight for its katana. He could hear it get on all-fours once again and run straight for him. Deniel jumped for his katana and rolled out of the way just in time for the beast to miss.

The Vulcan had slowed itself down to a stop and turned to face Deniel once again. He finally had his katana sheathed inside its scabbard, and was facing it fearlessly. He held up his hand and gave a taunting gesture with his four fingers edging it on. "Come on." This was a bit of a mistake edging it on, because Deniel's Torso of the Black Devil had finally ended, and his upper body had slowly turned back to normal. He awkwardly stared at the Vulcan. It was once again on all-fours, looking ready to charge. His cocky attitude quickly faded as he backed away and held up his hands. "Ooookay.....look. Maybe we can.....we can work something out. I mean...I...I...." The woman he was trying to save gave a facepalm from the trees. This guy was something else.

The Vulcan was unimpressed by his falling personality. It charged at Deniel once again, but Deniel's cocky smirk appeared once again on his face. Once the Vulcan was close enough, he ducked down a with his knees and drew his katana's blade. He ran straight beside the Vulcan charging at him. He let the blade of his katana slice through the Vulcan's fur skin like butter, giving a clean and flawless cut from the speed of it passing him by. It once again missed him, but also had a large cut going across from its ribcage down to its waist. Deniel was completely unharmed. He swung his blade to its scabbard, blowing the blood off at the same time. He sheathed it and turned to face the Vulcan beast.

It was clenching the wound Deniel had made on it. Once again, Deniel made the same gesture as before and said the exact same thing, only this time, he sounded much more dark and threatening. "Come on!" The Vulcan charged at Deniel instantly on all-fours once again, but instead of tackling him it stopped in front of him and started swinging at him relentlessly. Deniel, although cocky, kept his cool and used his Nephalem Eyes. With his enhanced reflexes and sight, he found dodging the fists of fury a walk in the park. Jerking his body from side to side, ducking, and more. After a few swings, Deniel found an opening on the beast, and took it the moment he saw it. He drew his katana in what seemed an instant and cut the Vulcan's arms and chest three times.

The Vulcan staggered back from the blows, and Deniel jumped back to recover himself. He sheathed his katana back inside its scabbard once again. He didn't know why he did it when he knew he was just going to draw it again. It just seemed to be something that flowed naturally in him. Every time he cut something, he would sheathe it again after wiping whatever blood went on it. He had dealt four blows to the Vulcan already. Three in the front and one large one on its side, and he did it all without even using his magic. This sword really was becoming something. He suddenly remembered the man that gave it to him. Those eyes.....they were the same as his. And his face looked just as expressionless and lifeless as Deniel's always looked. His hair was as black as midnight. He began to wonder who he really was, but he didn't have time. He suddenly found the Vulcan once again closing in on him for another attack.

Its fist swung at Deniel, and it was a clean hit on him, nearly knocking him out. It may have had low intelligence and a large, easy-to-it-body, as well as some slowness, but it could really pack a punch. He staggered back and stared at the beast. He felt a bit of anger flow inside of him, but brought out under control. He was always the person to stay level-headed, and he planned to stay that way. He held out his arm and formed his Nephalem Glory spell. The orb of darkness and light, and threw it straight at the Vulcan.

The blow caused the Vulcan to leave yet another opening, and this time, Deniel didn't intend to let it recover itself. He drew the blade of his katana and let out a yell. "Huaaaaaaaaa! Cut-off! Blast! Begone! Die! Scum! Blast! Begone! Die! Die! Die! Scum!" With every cut came a word or two, and with every cut, the Vulcan's life quickly faded away. After the eleventh and final cut, Deniel jabbed it straight in the chest for the final blow, just as he did with the other Vulcan, and just as he did with everything else he killed. It was another habit he had no idea why he did it. It just seemed to flow naturally, just like sheathing his blade after just a few slashes. Something about a stab in the chest seemed to familiarize himself with something, but this wasn't the time to think about it once again.

He took the blade out of the corpse and let it fall to the ground. He swung it to get the blood off and sheathed it yet another time. The woman slowly backed out of cover and Deniel stared at her with his blue and red eyes. She was not a little scared of Deniel, not the Vulcan. She knew it was dead, but this man seemed to appear much more intimidating with how he looked and how he killed the beast with no mercy. Anyone else would have just beaten it up and let it go, but not this guy. When Deniel spoke, she staggered back as if he were going to attack her. "Get back to Magnolia. Now. I've got someone else to rescue."

He walked past her, even bumping in to her shoulder, but he didn't stop to say sorry. A fire was burning inside of him right now. Not out of hate or anger, but a desire to kill. A killer instinct. She looked at him, at the Vulcan corpse, slowly backed away a few steps, and then ran in the direction of Magnolia town. Once again, Deniel heard a scream from another woman.

'Monster Dice' :

Deniel came upon the scene of another woman. This time, she had matched the description of the client's sister. Long blonde hair, a beautiful face, sky-blue eyes, and a short pink skirt. Very short, in fact. It was no surprise the Vulcan had wanted to capture her. This was the third one he faced, and this was going to be the last. The last two were quite easy, although he made quite the scene out of the first one, and the second took little to no time. He could have ended this one right now by using about ten air pressure slashes from where he stood, but he chose not to. He gave a large whistle to the Vulcan, and it along with the girl turned their heads to him. He gestured it with four of his fingers like he did the last one. "Come on!"

The Vulcan ran straight for Deniel and started punching him relentlessly. To keep things interesting, Deniel drew his katana blade and parried each attack instead of dodging them, but he made sure not to cut the Vulcan. Neither it nor Deniel had a mark on them, except for Deniel who had taken several blows from the one earlier, but he had learned to shrug it off and deal with it. Deniel had come up with another plan for making it interesting. He actually didn't parry a blow from the Vulcan, and let it hit him straight in the face. He admitted, it hurt a lot and almost knocked him out like the last one, but it felt good in a certain way. He took a bit of pleasure and amusement in the pain.

Right after he took the blow, he parried the next several ones. Although he felt light-headed, it didn't stop him from doing his best. The Vulcan sent in his fist another time, and this time, Deniel held out the tip of his blade so instead of punching him, the Vulcan would impale its own fist in his blade. It shrieked in pain and took its fist out of Deniel's blade, then swung its arm at him. Deniel simply held his sword's blade out to the side and let it stab itself once again. He almost laughed when the Vulcan gave out another shriek and took its hand out.

Deniel came up with another idea. He secretly held his hand behind his back and used his Nephalem Glory spell. The Vulcan gave another swing of his fist at Deniel, but when he held his shoulders back and exposed his face, Deniel threw his Nephalem Glory right at its face. It was a clean hit, and both the explosion and the heat caused more damage than it would normally do, despite being somewhat of a weak spell. The Vulcan held its face with its hands, giving off more shrieks. This time, Deniel couldn't contain his laughter. He let it fall out, and the woman whom he was saving was starting to feel uncomfortable. She began to question him just like the last one. Wondering if he was saving her, or just killing it and then going for her. Nonetheless, she hugged her knees and watched, but regretfully. When the Vulcan recovered itself, it finally noticed Deniel still laughing. It took this as an opportunity to attack him, thinking it was distracted.

Instead, the last part was simply a fake laugh Deniel used to fool his opponent. This time, the Vulcan used its foot to try and stomp Deniel flat on the ground, but he was already ready for anything. He stopped laughing and gave one small sidestep to dodge the stomp with little to no effort. As he was side-stepping, he also drew his katana, and by the time he was done and the blow had missed, it was finally drawn out. Normally, this would spell the end of the Vulcan, as Deniel would simply hack and slash at it with no mercy, but Deniel still wanted this fight to last an even longer time.

He gave off only one cut at the Vulcan, and then jumped back while sheathing his blade. He did this become at the same time he was cutting it, the Vulcan was swinging its arm at him just like the other ones did. After battling only two of them, Deniel had finally figured out all of their strengths and weaknesses. As he was slowly sheathing his katana, he spoke them out loud to the Vulcan. "Slow attacks, strong blows, low intelligence although capable of understanding speech, and you usually just punch and swing your arms at your opponent. You Vulcan aren't much of a challenge, and its my first time facing you guys. How boring."

Deniel was about to finish the Vulcan off, when he became surprised that his spell, Nephalem Eyes had suddenly ended. He had completely forgotten its duration, and his reflexive eyesight was lost, and his normal sight back. With his surprise, the Vulcan took this opportunity to attack Deniel once again. He narrowly blocked the punching and crushing blow with his katana before it hit him. The fist collided with the side of the blade, and if it weren't so strong, it would have snapped in half. Deniel held on to the handle with one hand while the other was on the blade. He was using both of his hands to try and fight against the Vulcan's strength and fury. Deniel didn't have the time for amusement now. He needed to finish this right this instant, and that was exactly what he was going to do.

Out of his back came his black feathered wings while he was fighting off the Vulcan. He looked at his position carefully before he recklessly fired. He came up with his plan quickly, and he executed it fast. He flapped his left wing to send a cut straight at the Vulcan's arm that was pushing him down. The small impact made it flinch, but it didn't take his arm away like Deniel had planned. This time, The Vulcan wasn't going to leave an opening. Deniel grunted as his plan failed, and he could feel his strength failing at the same time. Not only that, but the Vulcan suddenly grabbed his right wing with its other hand to prevent him from flapping it. It clenched on to it tightly and started to tug against it, which caused it to seem like it was going to be ripped off of Deniel's skin. This caused an immense amount of pain on Deniel, and he almost cried out, but he kept his cool. He wasn't going to lose right now.

Deniel could feel his wing being torn off more and more. More and more pain surged through his body, and he felt helpless. If he took off one of his arms to try and stop it, the Vulcan would crush him. If he moved an inch, the Vulcan would crush him. If he stood there and tried to fight back, his wing would be torn off and the pain might weaken him and he would be crushed. His options were limited. The burning feeling inside his stomach that he had been having throughout this mission was fading away quickly, and he seemed to lose all strength and motivation. When the pain had reached his climax and his wing looked as if it was going to be torn off, Deniel's body suddenly surged with motivation and strength.

He started to push harder and harder against the Vulcan's fist, with more and more force. He quickly overcame the strength of the Vulcan and pushed its fist away from him. Right when he did that, he cut the wrist of the Vulcan who was pulling his wing off, almost clean off. The Vulcan immediately let go of his wing, and Deniel took this as his chance to finally finish it off. He turned its back on it and grabbed the hilt of his katana, his eyes growing darker and darker. "You're going down! Haaaaaaaaaaaaa!"

He turned around and drew his katana, mercilessly slashing the Vulcan with it. After only a few seconds did he finish by sheathing the blade inside the scabbard, but there were already a large number of cuts in it. The Vulcan fell to the ground, lifeless like the other two.

Deniel finally turned his attention to the woman in which he was rescuing. His eyes had returned to their normal state, but red eyes and black wings, one that was bleeding and almost torn off, wasn't the best thing to look at a woman with. Deniel stared at her with no emotion, but she seemed to fear him. He took one step forward, and she took one step back. He took another step forward, and she stepped back once again. He began to walk to her with a normal pace, and she walked backwards at the same pace. Eventually, her back hit a tree and he only got closer. She stared to sink to the ground, yelling at him. "Stop! Stop! STAY AWAY! STAY AWAY WHATEVER YOU ARE!" Deniel actually obeyed her, stopping in his position. She covered her head in fear that he was going to do something to her.

Finally, he spoke up. "Relax. I'm not going to do anything to you. I-" Before he could finish, she spoke up in suspicion. "NOT DO ANYTHING TO ME!? JUST LOOK AT YOURSELF! HOW DO YOU EXPECT ME TO BELIEVE THAT!?" Deniel stayed silent after her protest. She was right. How could she believe him with the way he looked? "I don't. Other than the fact that I just saved you, and if I wanted you dead, I'd probably have done so already. I'm here on a rescue mission. I saved two other women already, but you're the one I'm looking for. Your brother set out a job for anyone to rescue you from these Vulcan. I took it."

She looked up at him, starting to calm down a little. Hesitantly, she stood up on her feet again and slowly walked to him. She sped her pace up a little bit until she was finally in a normal walk pace, and she stood in front of him. "Alright...." she said quietly, "Take me to him."

Deniel and the client's sister were back at the client's house, and he was bandaged up in the spots where the severe wounds were caused. The three were sitting at a table together, and the payment money was in front of Deniel. The brother and the sister sat together across Deniel, and they were all wrapped up in a conversation. "Again, Deniel, you have no idea how grateful I am."
"How WE are." His sister retorted immediately. "Yeah....how we are. Thank you so much for saving my sister. The last thing I wanted to happen to her is for creepy ape thing to capture her." Deniel only nodded once. "Yeah, you're welcome."

The client's sister stared at Deniel, and then whispered in her brother's ear. "Brother, couldn't you have at least gotten a much more handsome person to rescue me. He scared me then, and he's scaring me now." Her brother looked at her, a little offended. "Sis! Don't say tha-" His attention turned to where Deniel was sitting. Deniel had already gotten up and was at the door with the money in his hand. He closed the door behind him, but it almost seemed like he slammed it. He heard what she said. "Ya' see, you gotta' be more nice to someone like that."
"But he's scary! Did you see his eyes, how they were red! Ew!"

Deniel also heard that from outside, and he clenched his fist and teeth. However, he brushed it off and walked away. He was still angry, but he wasn't going to burst out in anger. "I can't control my eye color.....much. Whatever, to hell with her. What does she know?" He stopped and took a deep breath, regretfully saying: "Mission complete!"
