Escort Service! [Nightken and Mishi]

Nightken was standing in the entrance to Era waiting for Mishi to arrive. It had been a long time since they last did a job together and was actually looking forward to it. Looking at his right wrist it had a limiter on it making it so he can't use his C-rank spells, but for this job magic isn't needed. With the type of job they are doing Nightken dressed in his new casual clothes. A wyvern bartender outfit seemed fitting since they have to dress and act like a nobleman. While waiting he lit a magic cigarette and was just taking his time smoking it. After about twenty minutes he finished the cigarette and still no Mishi. "Did he take the wrong ride here?" Nightken asked aloud as he sat on a bench looking to the entrance of Era as the cigarette butt turned into vapor. Thinking about how they're supposed to get two rude girls to become nice ones was going through his head as he waited.

Mishi sat on a bench at the entrance to Era, the mage had gotten there 30 minutes early as a gentleman was never late, this unfortunately did not help with the fact that his partner was rather late. Nightken was a mage which Mishi had completed a job with a long time ago, back before he was even a member of Eclipse Soul. Either way he knew Nightken was not the type of man to be late especially for a job, “Where is he? I thought we agreed to meet at the entrance to Era” the young mage murmured as he straightened his hat and tie for what was most likely the 30th time today, after all a gentleman always looks best especially for a mission like this where he would have to look like a noble. Suddenly a thought dawned on Mishi, his guild was to the west of Era and Nightken’s was to the East, with a burst of speed he leapt from the bench and ran to the other side of done only thinking ‘crap’ over and over. After what felt like a year of running Mishi finally saw Nightken breaking from a run into a walk and straightening his hat and tie once again before speaking, pausing after each word to catch his breath “I…think…we…should’ve…been…more…specific…about…which…entrance…we…were…talking…about…”

Leaning back on the bench when he looked up and saw Mishi catching his breath. Hearing what he said it made him think about the placement of both their guilds and Era. Realizing that they arrived at the opposite entrances to the place and had been waiting at the spots they entered. "I feel stupid, but no reason to worry about that now we have a job to do and are already late enough." He said standing up and walking towards the building they're supposed to go to. Looking at the address he wrote down when he agreed to take this job they should be there in a couple of seconds. Once they arrived they saw that it was a large four story mansion with a huge fountain in front of it with a long driveway. "Think they could've made this place any gaudier?" He asked Mishi as the got to the gate.

"I feel stupid, but no reason to worry about that now we have a job to do and are already late enough." Nightken said as he stood up and began walking “So do I, but you’re right for now we should worry about the job, and of course how the dates are going to handle this, being late may hurt our chances of getting the job done sadly.” Mishi walked behind Nightken as the pair walked to the address given to them, luckily this time the journey was just a few blocks and not a cross city sprint. Soon the pair arrived outside a large golden gate that matched the given address, behind which stood a large four story mansion with a huge fountain in front of it with a long driveway. "Think they could've made this place any gaudier?" Nightken asked as the pair stood in front of the gate “I know, there’s a fine line between class and tasteless and I believe this place may have crossed that line.” As Mishi said this he stepped forward and rang the bell.

When Mishi pushed the doorbell an old man's voice came from the intercom. "How may I help you?" He asked politely. "We're the people hired to escort the young ladies tonight." Nightken answered. When he said that the gate opened and the old man said. "Please come through the front door I'll show you to the young ladies." They walked up the driveway and were greeted at the door by a man who looked to be about seventy. He took them to a library where the two young ladies were at. "Excuse me madams, but your escorts have arrived." He said leaving the room afterwards. Looking at them they both couldn't be more than seventeen. "It is a pleasure to meet both of you I am Nightken." He said doing a formal bow to them. "Don't care you two are going to do as we ask when we get to the ball is that clear?" They both said in unison looking at them both.

"Please come through the front door I'll show you to the young ladies." As the gate opened Mishi wait for Nightken to walk through first, after all this wasn’t exactly a mission he was looking forward to, the pair walked up the driveway and were greeted by an old but well-dressed man, perhaps the client put more likely just a butler. He escorted the pair of mages to a library where two young ladies stood. "Excuse me madams, but your escorts have arrived." He said leaving the room afterwards. Taking another look at the pair Mishi realized that the girls were quite young and couldn’t be older than 17. As Night introduced himself Mishi followed up with a bow of his own “and I am Mishi, it’s a pleasure to meet you both” of course the pleasant introductions soon ended. "Don't care you two are going to do as we ask when we get to the ball is that clear?" They both said in unisonif not for the fact that he was a gentleman Mishi would’ve put them in their place right there but sadly a gentleman never loses his cool either way this was going to be a long night.

"As you wish you're the ones in charge. If you'll excuse us we'll make sure all preparations are ready." Nightken said to them as he closed the door behind them. They walked to the living room and started checking on all of the preparations. "This is worse than any creature I've faced before. *Sigh* Let's see they are a royal pain and we have to get them to smile, not the easiest of jobs." He said to Mishi when they finished checking on everything. "Do you think you will be able to get the two young madams back to how they were before?" The old man whispered to them as the sat in the living room. "Honestly I don't know at the moment, but we'll do our best." He said as the two young ladies came down the stairs. "It's time for us to leave." The said in unison. Getting up they took them to the carriage and headed to the ball.

Once they arrived there it was clear that both Mishi and him are gonna stick out a bit. "Shall we enter?" He asked holding his arm up as one of them grabbed it and kinda was dragging him.
