Love Train I: Wedding Crashers [Shuhei/Diavolo] Empty Love Train I: Wedding Crashers [Shuhei/Diavolo]

Post by Three Evils 1st January 2014, 7:15 am

As he adjusted his tie, Diavolo tried to remember how he had gotten caught in all of this.

It was just a week after being rescued by a girl, who had dragged him inside the Blue Pegasus headquarters, saving his life. As a result, Diavolo had decided to join the Guild, since he did owe his life to them and because, well, he didn't have anywhere else to go.

It was tough to have no memories whatsoever. He felt... Lost. He had nothing, not even a past... However, for the time being, he could at least spend some time doing jobs for the guild until he decided his next step.

And so, he had accepted his first job request two days ago, a fairly easy task, ensuring the success of the wedding of some rich, influential pair in some place named Rose Garden. Of course, Diavolo cared nothing about the wedding itself, but it was very well payed and it would serve him as warm-up, two things he needed badly.

Everything was find and dandy up to that point, however, something... Unexpected... Had happened. And that something was called Shuhei Kisaragi. Shuhei, his guildmaster, Shuhei, the Wizard Saint. Diavolo had seen him a pair of times around, prominently when he had joined the guild, but he had never talked to him... Why did someone like Shuhei decide to take such a low profile job with him?... Diavolo's guess was that he was just curious. However, there was no telling what was on his mind so it was better not to make any suppositions.

Diavolo looked at his reflection on the mirror, pleased with what he saw. He wore a purple/violet suit, black, sharp dressing shoes, a white shirt and a crimson tie with a pattern consisting of green diagonal lines. It wasn't your typical wedding attire (mostly due to the brilliant, lively colours), but it did good look on him. Plus, it complimented his green-spotted pink hair, which was no easy task.

Wanting to waste no more time, Diavolo exited the room, heading to the guild's entrance, where he had accorded to meet Shuhei. Fortunately enough, he had arrived some minutes early, that way, they'd be able to part as soon as Shuhei arrived. The wedding would take place soon enough and they still had many things to go through if they did want to do a job to be proud of.

    Love Train I: Wedding Crashers [Shuhei/Diavolo] 1_by_gramcrackers-d70h25y

Shuhei didn't particularly like western style clothes, but he couldn't deny that they suited him nicely.  Although, they weren't nearly as comfortable as his silk robes.  In fact he would have preferred to wear one, if it weren't for the job requiring him to dress a certain way. What a pain, he thought. He sighed and tugged on his blazer and decided that he was ready to leave. He left his house overlooking the gardens and mosied on over to the Guild Hall. After a nice long stroll through the Gardens, taking the time to appreciate the scenery he arrived at the front entrance of the guild hall where he found Diavolo waiting patiently for his fashionably late Guild Master. "Nice getup."  He said casually as he walked up to his subordinate and stood beside him.  He'd never met Diavolo before, he looked quite, colorful and might turn out to be sort of interesting.  Or so Shuhei hoped.  "lets get going, I'm starving."  Shuhei mentioned as he turned and walked down the steps of the guild hall with his hands in his pockets.

Shuhei's stomach grumbled loudly half way down the steps and he stopped to rub his tummy. He hummed a little bit as his stomach continued to growl. He turned to face Diavolo while reaching in to his jacket. "Tell you what." He pulled out a small crystal sphere from his coat and spun it on his index finger for a moment. "You can go ahead of me and we'll meet up later on the train. I'm going to grab a snack for the way." He tossed the sphere in to the air, and it continued to fly upwards in to the sky. Shuhei smiled and waved good bye to Diavolo. "Catch ya later!" In a bright flash of light, Shuhei disappeared and was nowhere to be seen.

Love Train I: Wedding Crashers [Shuhei/Diavolo] Empty Re: Love Train I: Wedding Crashers [Shuhei/Diavolo]

Post by Three Evils 2nd January 2014, 4:27 pm

After a small while, Shuhei made his entrance. to be honest, it was quite shocking to see him wearing trousers. Oh well, surely it was just as shocking for him to see Diavolo wearing a shirt.

Regardless, Diavolo did not forget to greet his Guildmaster with a light bow, casual, but acknowledging the respect he deserved. "Thanks", he replied as he looked down at the shorter man. It was funny that, despite how Diavolo towered over him (and anyone else short of trolls really), he was so, so much stronger than him... "Your's pretty nice as well", said Diavolo, returning to the compliment, while he wondered if he'd ever be half as strong as they said Shuhei was.

'Well, if I try, why wouldn't I?', he thought to himself as he followed after Kisaragi, only to stop a few steps ahead. Apparently, his boss was hungry. Well, it couldn't be helped, could it?, "Alright, but get something for me too, if you don't mind". Normally, Diavolo hated leeching off of people, but he was flat broke and thus, he had to survive with the charity of Blue Pegasus... With any luck, this job would allow him to pay all his debts with the guild and with any luck, even though he doubted he would be able to rent a place for himself... Either way, it was a step towards standing on his own, decided Diavolo with a glint of ambition and pride on his eyes

And so, he watched Shuhei vanish in thin air, going forth in his most likely epic quest for food to satiate his munchies. And when it was over, he simply turned and started walking to the station, being 100% sure he would be there before he arrived. 'Sure it would be nice to have some sort of way to move around that quick', he wished.

    ____________________________________________________________________________________

Just as predicted, when Diavolo arrived to the station, Shuhei was already there, waiting for him "I hope you didn't have to wait too much for me", he apologized, "Should we get on?, I have some information on the mission for you"

Love Train I: Wedding Crashers [Shuhei/Diavolo] Empty Re: Love Train I: Wedding Crashers [Shuhei/Diavolo]

Post by Mifune 3rd January 2014, 12:15 pm

Shuhei was sitting on the far end of a bench at the station when Diavolo arrived, cross legged with his arm extended over the seat next to a bag of pretzel sticks, munching on one as he waited.  He waved at Diavolo with a stick as he came over to greet him, again.  He was waiting for about an hour, it didn't take him long at all to get to the Pretzel stand and then the train station.  He even had time to purchase their train tickets, but it wasn't too long.  Shuhei was fairly patient.  He nodded and held up the bag of pretzels to Diavolo.  "Want one?"  He waited for Diavolo to take one, or not and then stood up as the train pulled in to the station.  "Information huh?  That's good, let's hear it."  He asked as he took out another pretzel for himself.

He turned around and led the way on to the train, seemingly not paying much attention to the details of what Diavolo was about to say. He wasn't exactly all that worried about the mission, but he liked to see that his subordinate was taking things seriously.  They entered in the regular part of the train, which was what anyone would expect but Shuhei passed through the regular cars and immediately entered the first class car, the only one with an open bar.  The bartender recognized him and prepared a drink for him immediately.  Some kind of vodka martini with a slice of lime.  Shuhei sat at the bar and continued to listen to what Diavolo had to say about the mission.

Love Train I: Wedding Crashers [Shuhei/Diavolo] Empty Re: Love Train I: Wedding Crashers [Shuhei/Diavolo]

Post by Three Evils 3rd January 2014, 1:43 pm

"If you don't mind...", answered Diavolo, as he grabbed one of the pretzels as the narrator started playing overly dramatic music, moving the delicious pretzel towards his mouth in slow mo, only to bite down as the symphony reached its zenith, in an orgasmic breakdown of colliding universes of taste of  such deliciousness that could drive a man insane, and thus, in this cathartic moment of absolute heaven, history passed before Diavolo's eyes, who, in awe, observed how the history the many accomplishments of humankind that had allowed this moment of pretzely glory to occur, and in his heart, Diavolo was thankful.

    "Meh, I had them better"

And so, the both of them got into the train, sitting on the bar, "Well, I got in contact with the client to talk about the details regarding our task, first of all, these are the people we must look out for", he said as he pulled out some photographs from a pocket of his jacket along a photo of the place where the wedding would be celebrated, pointing at a particular photo immediately afterwards, "This one here is the main target. Since the groom has already gotten into fights with the target, he has been able to fill me in about his magic. However, they think he won't show up alone, but I'm not too worried about the rest. Regarding the place of the wedding, it'll take place in one of the fanciest places of the place, a hill that overlooks the city with cliffs in all but one of its sides, therefor, they'll have to pass through there if they want to get in"

Diavolo made a pause to order a drink, he really needed something to wash down that godawful pretzel "Our job consists on guarding the entrance. Of course, since we cannot simply attack them without a reason, we will simply deny them the entrance, however, if they stick around, we are allowed to clear them out. By force if it's necessary... I believe that's all."

Love Train I: Wedding Crashers [Shuhei/Diavolo] Empty Re: Love Train I: Wedding Crashers [Shuhei/Diavolo]

Post by Mifune 7th January 2014, 12:15 pm

Shuhei listened and nodded as Diavolo gave his little presentation and sipped his drink and nodded some more and ate another salty pretzel.  "uh huh, uh huh, right." He was surprised by how much effort Diavolo put in to this job.  Photos and maps, all that stuff Shuhei never bothered with, which would have probably helped him out quite a lot in his earlier years and quite frankly it seemed like overkill.  Diavolo continued to go on as Shuhei looked at the photos of the people to watch out for and the landscape photo.  Maybe Diavolo was nervous, Shuhei wondered as Diavolo spoke.  First job with the master and all.  He needed to relax... Shuhei gave a subtle wink to the bartender, who acknowledged his signal with a simple nod and proceeded to mix Diavolo a quadruple, and served him as he continued to speak.  "uh huh, yeah I thought so too."  Shuhei was excellent at pretending to follow a conversation, any woman could tell you that.

Shuhei's attention was drawn to the window, through it he could see the landscape beginning to change.  More buildings and colors, Rose Garden was a marvelous place for a wedding Shuhei believed.  the train pulled in to the Rose Garden train station.  "Here we are."  Shuhei stood up and led the way to the entrance of the station.  The city seemed to be bustling, the wonders of Rose Garden as bright and colorful as ever.  "So the wedding is taking place near the coast right?"  Shuhei inquired, assuming Diavolo knew where they were heading.

Love Train I: Wedding Crashers [Shuhei/Diavolo] Empty Re: Love Train I: Wedding Crashers [Shuhei/Diavolo]

Post by Three Evils 8th January 2014, 3:44 am

'Damn, am I feeling my throat sore...', thought Diavolo as he went on with his exposition, thus, unaware that his drink had been messed with, he downed it in one shot. 'Man, this thing tastes good!', he thought before ordering another of the same... And another. And another.

Five minutes afterwards Shuhei would have discovered how much Diavolo loved trains.

"AS I WAS SAYIN', MINNNNNSSSSSTREL'S TRRRRAINS ARE THA BEST OF 'EM ALL AND WHOEVER SAYS OTHERWISE IS IN FOR A BEATING!!!"

Another five would pass and Shuhei would learn that Diavolo got emotional when he drank.

"OHHHHHHH MEEEEEEYYYYY GHHDOGGG, yuou aer mah bestest firiend Shhhu Bro!", exclaimed Diavolo as he loudly sobbed on Shuhei's shoulder.

After another short interval, Shuhei would discover Diavolo's great plans for the future...

"Okokokok... Lizten tu mi and liztenn closelely... Youc kno whad's tah fastest way ta get rich?, I'll tellz you... Animal husbandry."

And after another five minutes Shuhei would learn that Diavolo's stomach couldn't handle very well alcohol.

It was a rather impressive thing really. The first victim were Shuhei's pants and shirt, leaving him covered in bits of pretzel, but Diavolo just went on and on, spewing like a fountain across the floor, the walls, tables and even the ceiling. The vision was so disgusting, dantesque even, abd the smell so foul and strong that soon enough all the other passengers in the wagon, even the bartender, joined into the fray, and the more they vomited, the stronger, more repulsive the smell was and the more they vomited. This went on for half an hour before nobody else had anything left to spill out. Really, Diavolo didn't even want to imagine what it would have been for someone with the keen senses of a dragonslayer.

"I-I'm so sorry Shuhei, I'll fix all of this, I promise man!", he said as he tried to stand up from his seat. Which was a dick move, since he slipped on the sea of puke, falling into it face first.

"... Soffft ando Whetto", he said without even getting up from the floor out of pure embarrassment. Suddenly, Shuhei would see a sailor-like golden spiritual entity appear on the room and, truth to be told, it didn't seem to be in a much better state than Diavolo himself.

With a hiccup, the spirit released a large amount of Steal bubbles, that flew everywhere, stealing away the miscellaneous body fluids, the nausea and, thank goodness, the smell, leaving everything even cleaner than before this unspeakable event.

"That was my magic, Soft and Wet. It steals things.", said Diavolo, who had stolen drunkenness from himself, leaving a long, awkward silence between them.

"... We'll never speak of this ever again, alright?"

And so, our two puke-free heroes (although only god knew for how long Shuhei would keep finding Pretzel bits on his suit), reached Rose Garden, where Shuhei proceeded to ask the dumbest question possible, causing Diavolo to facepalm. Loudly. "... You weren't even paying attention the whole time, were you?", he took then a small paper with an address written down "Look, just go here. The hotel is right besides the location of the wedding. All expenses are paid, courtesy of the bride's family.", he added, not daring to actually get angry at Shuhei after what he had gone through. "I'll be there shortly, I have to finish setting up everything for tonight with the rest of the security personnel."

Love Train I: Wedding Crashers [Shuhei/Diavolo] Empty Re: Love Train I: Wedding Crashers [Shuhei/Diavolo]

Post by Mifune 14th January 2014, 2:43 pm

Upon repressing all memories of recent events, Shuhei was going to head to the Hotel... "All expenses are paid," Diavolo mentioned.  That was one of the few things Shuhei actually did know about the mission beforehand, and probably the only reason he decided to tag along in the first place.  Shuhei walked ahead of Diavolo, waving to him as he wandered ahead.  "I'll see you there then."  Shuhei had no interest in additional security, since he and Diavolo were all that was required to keep a few thugs out of a wedding.  With that in mind he strolled through Rose Garden until he arrived at the Blue Rose Hotel.  "Fancy place."  He said as he walked in to the lobby.  A couple of men in black suits, fedora's and sunglasses glared at him over the same newspaper they seemed to be reading together.  As soon as Shuhei looked their way, they both quickly looked back at the newspaper and pretended to read.  Shuhei shrugged and walked up to the front desk.

A young woman with blue hair stood at the desk and greeted Shuhei.  "Welcome to the Blue Flower!  How can I help you?"  Shuhei smiled.  "I believe I have a reservation, under Blue Pegasus."  The lady checked her list and picked out a key from a drawer in her desk.  "Here it is, room 412." "Thank you."  Shuhei took the key and turned towards the stairs, shooting a glare at the two men reading the same newspaper, who at first were looking at him but when they noticed Shuhei was looking back, quickly turned their heads again.  Shuhei chuckled and tossed the key in to the air and caught it with the same hand as he made his way to the stairs and up to his room.  Immediately after entering the room he picked up the phone and called room service.  "Send up four bottles of champagne, one of everything off of the starter menu, two of everything from the entre menu and two of everything from the desert menu, thanks!"

Post by Three Evils 18th January 2014, 10:09 am

"... And with that, we are done", said Diavolo.

He, alongside the rest of the afternoon establishing additional defences for the next day, doing such things as stealing the friction of the surrounding cliffs, making them impossible go climb or giving most of the objects at the wedding elastic properties so even if there was a brawl nothing would be broken. Besides that, he had stolen some properties from different object he had around in order to be able to face. "Alright, that's all for today. Tomorrow we meet here at 7:00. As I stated, you are to take night shifts to protect the place from sabotage. If you see anything strange, no matter how insignificant, DO NOT hesitate to call me and my partner and we will be here in five minutes."

And with that, Diavolo headed back to the hotel to rest for the night... However, his day was not over at all. Behind him, he could hear a man's footsteps. At first, he gave it no importance despite the being slightly suspicious... However, the man behind him was soon joined by another and another until there were six of them. Well, it seemed that this job wouldn't be as easy as he had thought. At the very least the target was smart enough to target them at his most vulnerable instead of trying to get in head-on. Well, it didn't matter. If they thought that this would be enough to put Diavolo down they were in for a nasty surprise.

And so, the moment he heard their pace accelerate to a sprint towards him, Diavolo turned back, summoning forth the robotic sailor-like entity, behind him, "SOFT & WET!!", he called forth as the battlefield filled with transparent and orange bubbles that rushed at the enemy at high speeds.

But worst of all (for Diavolo's enemies), they'd soon discover that he had vanished in thin air. Thus, the tables were turned, the hunters becoming the hunted.

After the first attack was sent, one of the mages would be attacked by the spirit, which suddenly appeared from a bubble above, tried to deliver a powerful dropkick.

Diavolo smirked, only two of his foes, two wizards, had managed to avoid his bubbles. The rest were in for a nasty surprise.

"Huh, what was that?!", said one of the melee fighters, "Where did he go?!"

"MOE?!, GUYS, SOMETHING IS HAPPENING TO MOE!!", said one of the wizards, who had turned to see if his companions were alright. In effect, something was very wrong with Moe, the wind mage. He was laying on the floor, bending his limbs in strange ways, trying to speak, but only managing to emit horrified whimpers. The vision caused both of the other wizards to step back, too shocked to pay attention to their surroundings... That was why they were caught off guard when from one of the bubbles dispersed around the battlefield, S&W emerged, pummelling Moe's head with it's mighty foot, inmediately attempting to send yet another kick at one of the mages, the target however managed to avoid the attack by jumping back.

"You damned coward!, Let's go beat that punk's ass!", said the leader of the melee fighters, then, they tried to run. I say tried because when they moved their legs, they suddenly found out their feet were not touching the ground anymore.

"WHAT?!", one said as they all rose from the floor, without the slightest chance to do anything about it at all, since they weren't mages. Astonished, they realised they had been effectively been neutralised.

"Tch...", the mages however were able to react (except poor Moe), both firing elemental blasts at the entity. Unfortunately for them though, the spirit vanished as fast as it had appeared, leaving both blasts to clash, cancelling one another.

"Hey guys!, Don't leave us like this!, help us!!", said one of the defenceless goons drifting aimlessly, the mages, however, got back to back, inspecting their surroundings as they tried to assess the situation meanwhile, ignoring their comrades in need of help, even Moe, who coughed up some some blood and continued to flail, barely aware of what had even struck him. Something was wrong here, very very wrong. Their target had just disappeared and they couldn't detect his magical presence either. Plus, it hadn't escaped them that thousand of those blasted bubbles still circled around the battlefield, like hungry wolves, waiting for their chance to strike.

"... This... Was not supposed to happen...", said Lenny fire mage to his icy companion Karl. He hated to admit it, but he WAS scared, even though he tried to control himself.

    Knock.   Knock.   Knock.  "Room Service..."

Three slow, loud knocks on the door.  Shuhei was kickin' back on the bed, waiting for room service to arrive and sure enough they had.  He sprang up from the bed and walked to the door.  Without first looking through the peep hole like a normal person would do.  To his surprise there were two people standing in front of the one small cart with one bottle of champagne and a single platter where a rounded lid on top.  The two servers both had large chef hats and very large (Fake looking) mustaches.  "Come right in!"  The white wizard said with a smile, stepping to one side.  The two pushed the small cart together to the far side of the room, even though it seemed as though only one was necessary.  slowly, one of them took the lid off of the platter, but instead of food there were two wands which the two immediately grabbed and turned around, pointing their wands at where Shuhei was standing...  Only, Shuhei wasn't standing there anymore...

    POP!

A cork hit one of the two thugs in the back of the head.  The two looked behind them to see that Shuhei had appeared behind them and the food cart, and opened the bottle of champagne.  The two looked at each other, then back at Shuhei who smiled at them.  Immediately the two tried whipped their wands around but before they could cast a spell, Shuhei picked up a glass from the cart and kicked the food cart forward in to their guts, hard enough that the cart flew through the door in to the hallway, ramming the two mages in to the wall at the other side just as the real room service guys arrived with several carts piled high with food.  "I'm done with that one, thank you."  Shuhei said casually as he poured himself a glass of champagne and smiled.
