"Well it would seem the time has come for me to make a stand." Zuo Cii strolled at a casual pace towards the radioactive waste known as Hargeon town. The poor city had been decimated in a horrible attack from an un-earthly creature; Zuo Cii had wanted to act much sooner but the forces that be had prevented him. He had heard rumors that no attempts by magic or machine could cure the radiation he laughed at the possibility that he would not be able to heal the land "The difference between their attempts and mine is that they are humans and I am a force of nature." The ancient man stood on the edge of the town, he could already feel the horrible poison tormenting the land itching at his skin. He raised his arms out over in front of him "Oh sacred earth your time of suffering has come and passed, now feel the blessing of Zuo Cii." Zuo Cii felt a monumental drain on his magic power take place as he unleashes his healing powers on the earth. Whatever had caused this damage was insanely powerful and had power rivaling even Zuo himself, not to mention the land effected was that of an entire thriving city it was no small feat to cure the land.
But Zuo Cii's healing power was absolute(or at least against plagues and magic of his same level) and not even this radiation was beyond him. So just like that the radiation that had plagued Hargeon was no more, there might be lingering traces but they weren't harmful and would fade in time. As soon as Zuo Cii stopped pouring his healing magic into the land he felt the radiation spring back in force "What!?! What power could create such a poison. It matters not, I will crush this taint."" Zuo Cii once again raised his hands and resumed pouring magic into the healing of the city. He quickly grew tired but the cries of pain from the earth pushed him onward and gave him strength, he worked his way with the radiation and slowly rooted it out. This time he worked a different angle instead of trying to cast a large healing blanket he started small targeting small areas and thoroughly obliterating the dark forces at work there. It was tiring work and his progress was minuscule but Zuo Cii did not falter in this attempts.
Time passed and Zuo Cii ended up collapsing from exhaustion from his great effort, and only small amounts of progress had been made in curing the radiation. It was just so powerful and deep rooted as if a very great force controlled and manipulated it; willing it to linger and burn the land. Several hours passed as Zuo rested, and as soon as his strength returned to him he rose again and tried again this time with renewed energy and a more focused approach. His progress was still small and the sun was setting but the ancient mage knew he was slowly by surely healing the town. Once again drained Zuo unpacked some food from his bags, made himself a small meal and after eating went to sleep under the stars.
This would be the beginning of a very long year for Zuo Cii, every day he would wake up and start attempting to heal the city again and ever so slowly he began to make progress, progress that lasted. The poison was slowly washed away and the earth was made fertile and rich again. Zuo Cii's presence soon became well known, he had no problem telling curious people what he was doing and who he was and the story of the old man undoing the damage from the Night of Light became a happy story in Fiore's history and a symbol of hope for refugees from the events of the Night of Light. By the end of the year, the damage had at long last been mended and Hargeon was strong healthy land again. Over the year he spent there Zuo had learned the story of the Night of Light and of Lamia Scale the guild that had once stood in Hargeon town and after much thinking Zuo had decided that it was time he made a permanent strong hold and bring about an order of mages who would help him heal the blight on the land all across Fiore. He decided to name the organization after the wizard's guild Lamia Scale and decided he would name himself guild master and establish Hargeon as a base of operations.
On the final day of healing Zuo Cii collapsed and rested out under the stars one more time before he began the true work. Once he woke, knowing the land was safe once again Zuo walked into the town. He had already endured storms, wind, cold, heat and much more and he had decided it was at time to finish his healing of Hargeon. Standing in the center of Hargeon he spread his feet wide and spread his arms out wide "Marble Make: Castle."
Zuo Cii than began a magic dance of stances and postures twisting and twirling his body, he flowed through stances and poses commanding complex and intricate magic in one of his most complicated spells and all around him from the earth came a pure white stone warping and flowing like water as Zuo commanded it ever so slowly coming together to make one massive structure. For ten minutes Zuo Cii kept up his dance, never stopping, never resting, never hesitating and in the same amount of time it took to destroy it Zuo Cii gave new life to Lamia Scale.
The ancient mage walked out from the castle that had sprung up from around him and looked up at it, it was splendorous and a pure shining white. It was a truly beautiful castle, and while it was composed of nothing but marble giving it a bit of a monochrome appearance and the insides were a bit spartan (stone chairs can only be so comfortable) but it was large, grand and it would stand the test of time. For unlike some molding spells, this one did not crumble with time no this would remain until destroyed by external force and it would serve as the guild hall of Lamia Scale. Zuo Cii made a mental note to invest in some not stone furniture and other luxuries but for now it would serve his purpose. He looked out at the small crowd that had gathered to watch him construct the castle and spoke "On this day, I Zuo Cii of the Earth return Lamia Scale and Hargeon Town to this world. While rebuilding will still take time and maybe the damage will not ever be fully healed we will survive and grow strong again. So I would like to send a message to all mages across the world, if you seek refuge, if you seek a place to hone your skill, if you seek a place to improve the world and your self; come to me, come to Lamia Scale for there is much work left to do." With this Zuo Cii would turn around and return to the castle he had built to rest; he felt he deserved it.
- Regarding the Guild Hall:
- Note: While the castle in the image is not made purely of marble, the Lamia Scale Guild Hall is, any material seen on this image of the castle should be ignored and thought of as marble as is a restriction of Zuo's magic and any glass windows are open air windows
.
I will post an official description of the Guild Hall and it's contents within a week or so. For now new members of Lamia Scale are welcome to make intro posts here or in the official Lamia Scale thread.
