Dawn begins with an orange sky.

She watches with a light-dazed stare as the sunrise curls through the clouds at six in the morning, a reflection of the sunrise shining in her eyes. Her arms free themselves from being chained to her waist with an affirmed desire to reach for the clouds that drift past her skin. Her fingers flex and crumble as the airy softness flies by, like the fleetingness of butterflies flapping against your flesh with velvety gentleness. Her grin spreads across the expanse of her air-bitten lips and somehow, in all that air, everything seems decidedly perfect. 'Flying is fun.' she mused, bending at the hip as she dives through the display of haze and mist.  A tiny voice rings like bells in the open spaces of her mind - 'It's always been fun this way, Miss Wing.' -it says, a notable childish giggle trailing closely behind the echoes. 'I still can't believe you've been living your whole life this way Celesse,' she thinks back, her legs kicking down as she twirls skyward, bits of white evaporating as she resurfaces, 'It must be amazing!'

The starling sails by her in a way the girl would naturally envy, a mirrored smile gracing its small mouth as an honest reply. But Wing had nothing about the subject of elegance and experience (and the vile vines of poison that come with its jealousy, thereof), a complex stupidity climbing up her brain as the taste of flight blurs her thinking. The sun reaches its highest above the sharp corners of the mountains beneath, and as the dainty heat pierces the ice on her skin, so does the space between the star and the starling melt away into the day.

Perhaps time really was a matter of watch hands. If she weren't counting the hours, she could have sworn they were flying for as long as she'd like to remember. Clouds bear tiny openings and sparkles of blue twirl and leave as they traverse the sky in unanimity -giddy, amazed and listless. It was as if everything had been pieced together to fit automatically, the unraveling seams even and finely cut. There wasn't any need for awkwardness knowing that even the sun had shined with a grin of pride at its masterpiece; dawn painted like an empty canvas. She laces their fingers together in an airy pirouette, 'Weeee~!'

Their laughs muffle the sounds of birds that soar along their territory, curious at the new visitors and their unusual method of flying. The delight creates fog thick as a storm inside her head that it clouds her common sense, dimly and heavily. And with that blinded mentality is her lighthearted toss, sending her starling farther than ever. It hadn't occurred her, even for a moment, how the height and Celesse's contradictory existence against gravity would work for her hasty drop, then again, the reality of Demirari never really did cross her mind. And as the wish-granter disappears above the clouds, the blue-ish warmth on her skin flutter away, panic is ensued-

     "H-huh-?! W-wait-!!"
-The birds scatter away as screams penetrate the peace.

Harsh rushing sounds flood her with the crisp bite of wind, ice-cold against the curves in ears. Her hair is thrown around messily, tickling her face and skewing her vision. Yet she was glad, somehow, seeing Celesse promptly descend with her, far above the lines of puffs. Clothes crumple and flutter and bend violent as a single, bubbling thought is planted in dread within her brain, her senses igniting with intensity. The rich lavender tinted mountains poke at the corners of her eyes as the speed in her fall increases substantially.
    An exasperated breath and-
"Please, I wish for a safe landing!"
    A thought to live.
