The Ironheart Pact - Information

The Ironheart Pact is a faction centered around and led by the nation of Pergrande, which is joined by its allies in the current conflict raging across Ishgar, Iceberg, Enca, and Minstrel, being comprised of the combined military forces of these nations as well as a large abundance of mage and non-mage mercenaries that have been hired with Pergranti money. It is engaged in military conflict with the Luminous Covenant and associated nations.

The Ironheart Pact offers members progression through 3 different Ranks apart from the role of Faction Leader. Depending on their rank in the Ironheart Pact, members receive varying degrees of the "Pergranti Mercenary Payments" modifier, granting them additional Jewels from finishing Faction Events, Faction Jobs, and regular Job Endings. The bonus applies as follows:

Alignments and usergroups excluded from joining the Ironheart Pact:

1) All characters openly associated with Plumed Serpent. If your character belongs to these classifications, you will need a disguise or alter-ego if you wish to join this Faction and stay in it. Should it become known that your character belongs to these classifications they will be removed from the Luminous Covenant.

The Ironheart Pact is divided into 4 Chapters:

Pergrande declared war on the Bellum and its allies following the assassination attempt made on the Imperial Envoy sent to the peace talks in former Felidae City. Pegrande stands at the head of the Ironheart Covenant, leading the faction and determining faction objectives. Pergrande is locked in unrestrained conflict and hostilities with Bellum, but fights in all areas the Ironheart Pact is engaged in, its military forces made up of considerably advanced ground and naval forces. Additionally, Pergrande is the only nation engaged in the conflict possessing an official Air Force branch of armed forces. Its armed forces are additionally reinforced by the Paladins, Pergrande's elite secret police force, as well as hired mercenaries from all over Ishgar. Pergrande provides enormous, nearly unimaginable amounts of raw materials and resources as well as advanced military technology and equipment.

The people of Iceberg, Iser men and women all, have revived their old allegiance, driven by the oath delivered to the Empire of Pergrande over 500 years ago, long since past, but never forgotten. This, however, also means that Iceberg and the Iser people view their allegiance as solely bound to Pergrande, leading to a characteristically frosty relationship with other member states of the faction. The Iser people, however, make extremely ferocious and skilled warriors, so much so that they are renowned for their skills in battle and conquest in large parts of Earthland. Despite the fact that Iceberg possesses no official branch of nationalized armed forces, the Iser people rally behind the banner of the Ting into an army of warriors.

Enca, in close proximity to the Empire of Pergrande and tied intimately to the Imperium's rise and fall, constitutes perhaps the most opportunistic of nations taking part in this conflict. The declaration of war against the forces of the Luminous Covenant was a reaction based on the Naval Arms Race between Enca and Ca-Elum, as well as the latter's professed allegiance to the Luminous Covenant, a provocation the people of Enca, so its Leader, the Gran Almirante Andrés Castillo says, simply could not allow to stand. Enca provides its sizeable fleet to the war effort of the Ironheart Pact, and while not as advanced or numerous as that of Ca-Elum, they also possess the arguably most elite corps of Naval Troops in all of Ishgar. Motivated by expansionism, global ambition, and political ideology, Enca actively participates and assists the fellow armies of the Ironheart Pact, if only to secure a big piece of the pie once victory is at hand...

Following the incursion of Desierto Troops into its territory and the alignment of Desierto with the Luminous Covenant, Minstrel announced its participation in the conflict against Desierto. Initially, this did not entail its inclusion in the affairs of the Ironheart Pact, but when approached, Minstrel reluctantly agreed to join forces with the other members of this Faction based on its strategic position in Ishgar. Now aligned with the Ironheart Pact, Minstrel, as the second-largest and by far the wealthiest nation in Ishgar, makes considerable contributions to the war effort of the Ironheart Pact simply via the sheer amount of manpower, resources, material, wealth, and territory it can bring to the table. The People and Leadership of Minstrel, however, do not associate too closely with the other members of this Faction, Pergrande especially, their relationship one of mutual aid, though entirely lacking in cordialities.
