It's not to say his good deeds don't have good intentions, because they do, but he wouldn't lie and say he's doing it just for the sake of doing it. Being the 'knight in shining armor' makes him feel good, makes him feel like he can amount to more than what was prescribed to him at birth.

Accepting rewards for his good deeds is second nature, where another aspect of his ego could be seen. He's not the type of person to deny goods and rewards for doing the 'right' thing, depending on the situation of course. If he were to do a job about saving somebody in trouble, he'd take the rewards graciously, but if he had helped a poor family, the reward would be the last thing on his mind. Through self-reflection, this part of himself doesn't bother him, he views it as honest and open. In his spare time, Arthur finds himself to be a rather social person. Charismatic by nature, he frequents taverns, squares, festivals, anything where he could chat or make a new friend. He has a strong preference for ale, commonly ordering it during his social calls. From this, Arthur has a somewhat strong alcohol tolerance. While Arthur is hesitant to try new foods, he isn't opposed to testing the waters as long as they aren't too out of the ordinary. With a strong preference for land mammals over seafood, a good cut of meat is the way to his heart. He doesn't hate fish, but he does worry about contracting. Liking his food well seasoned, he draws the line at spicy. Spice brings a tear to his eye, and is one of the few things that would genuinely make him blush. Arthur will eat his vegetables with no qualms, part of growing up with little was cleaning your plate. Cleaning your plate usually involved cabbage, carrots and spinach, the easiest things that would grow in his hometown. As any other person would, Arthur loves his sweets. Cakes, cookies, pies, ice cream, they're all things he would see and want to consume. He tries to be healthy, he really does, but sometimes it's difficult for him to resist. In other situations though, he is usually quite good at controlling his temptations.

Motivations, for Arthur, derive from many sources. His materially-lacking childhood motivates him to earn money and hoard it. While he does donate and help out his community, his fear of impoverishment hangs over his head. From a similar source, he is motivated to keep himself well-stocked in terms of food and supplies, as he fears being without. Arguably, though, his biggest motivator stems from his simple countryside life. Arthur was not the kind of person that anybody really expected to develop magic nor be attuned to it. A life dedicated to agriculture, when it was all his surroundings offered him, was not something he was opposed to at the time. A simple life nourishes a simple mindset, what was beyond his town wasn't a concern of his. When his powers developed, though, suddenly he was thrust into a wagon and off to an academy. For his own good, of course, his parents recognized his ability to move up in the world and wanted the best for him. Naturally, given his age of seventeen at the time, he was mature enough to realize that it was what they wanted for him too. They wanted him to get out there and do something with his powers, see the world, do something good. Make the type of difference that a simple farmer couldn't do. With this promise to his parents, Arthur set out into the world and began his education and training.

Bigotry - As a man of honor, he dislikes those who spread prejudice. Waste - From his upbringing, he abhors food waste.

Appearance:

Arthur stands strong with an unbreakable posture. Shoulders back from his military training, his posture is strong and resilient. In a way, the way he presents himself is vigilant but not quite put-together. While he tries to keep his posture in check, fatigue wears at his bones and sometimes threatens to break his form. His body is muscular, large, and imposing. His biceps are well-developed alongside his forceps. With protruding veins, his labor with a sword is rather apparent. Strong shoulders are set upon an equally impressive chest. Firm and full, his pectoral muscles frame his hardened abdominal muscles in an almost artistic way. Not one to leave himself out of balance, his glutes, quads and other leg muscles are equally as developed. Not having the time for such things, not the care, he does not trim his body hair very often. Despite his best efforts to bathe regularly, his questing and missions often leave him somewhat ragged.

Set upon a strong neck, Arthur's head is large and stocky. With a sharp-jawline framed with the lining of chestnut facial hair, the rest of his face gains a strong foundation. His lips are full, admittedly a bit too pouty for his liking. Much like the rest of his body, he tries his best to keep his teeth clean, but often finds himself charged with their magical upkeep. Somewhat shy of this fact, Arthur has a large and broad nose. The ridge of his nose is admittedly flat and angular, but the bulb is wide and broad as a sharp contrast to its ridge. Wild unkempt eyebrows frame a deep-set pair of forest green eyes. Almost emerald in bright light, they manage to appear friendly despite their sunken-ness. His browbone is harshly sharp, but his forehead soft. Arthur's ears are somewhat large with attached lobes. Waves of dark brown hair flow from his head. Reaching well past his shoulders, his armor is often draped in the various shades of brown. His hair is seasonal of course, brightening to a chestnut in the summer months while darkening to a mahogany in the winter.
