The Abjugation Grimoire
Magic Name: The Abjugation Grimoire
Magic Type: Ancient Magic (Solitary Benefit: + 50% to Spell Healing)
Description: Various creatures exist, some of which are powerful enough to be called “gods” and “demons”. Levinia is a “godling”, a juvenile creature hailing from an ancestry that involves such creatures, powerful beings who controlled various spheres of influence (like the gods of old) and manipulated these spheres using “grimoires”: powerful mystical formulae that were formed from floating runes called sigils. Combining sigils in various forms yielded varying effects that were dependent on the sphere of the grimoire user. Perhaps it is as a result of her strong empathy and altruistic personality, but Levinia’s sphere of influence involves “the Life that exists within Space and Time”, giving her a powerful psychic connection with space, time and life energies. These connections can be exploited to produce interesting and useful abilities.
Using her sigils, Levinia can create diverse grimoires with varying complexities, colors and effects. These grimoires allow her to employ peculiar types of “barrier magic”. The reason the magic is called the “Abjugation Grimoire” is as a result of the fact that the major function of these barriers is to “abjugate” or separate/set free/remove. However, that is not all they can do, seeing that there is a psychic aspect involved. For the sake of classification, the Abjugation Grimoire magic is grouped into three subclasses (named by her):
- Palisade Grimoires: These grimoires have the simplest effect: force fields which protect the inhabitants. However, Levinia can utilize them in other means by utilizing them as traps, or even offensively by forcefully smashing larger grimoires against a target.
- Amulet Grimoires: These grimoires work by affecting the space within them. They can be cast over a defensive structure to improve its defensive ability, or can be used to manipulate life and space-time forces for various effects.
- Miracle Grimoires: These grimoires manipulate life, time and space within their borders to confer positive effects on those within, such as healing, curse breaking (debuff and negative effect cancelation), and buffing.
- Augural Grimoires: These grimoires hardly manifest as barriers, but tend to be more of an intrinsic thing to Levinia, granting her various psychic abilities like telepathy and telekinesis.
Each grimoire is assigned a number; the higher the number, the stronger the spell. It is possible to see two different grimoires share the same number, as long as both grimoires are not in the same subclass. However, some grimoires have colors assigned instead of numerals, identifying them as special grimoires. While this magic has a slight disadvantage of being limited in direct offensive capabilities, it more than makes up for this with its versatility and protective abilities.
Being young, and still grasping the full extents of her power, Levinia constantly has a series of sigils that float around her form. She cannot dispel them completely, but can contort them to whatever pattern she desires, and can hide them by placing them on her skin as “tattoos”, or linking them together to form bracelets. For the most part, they hover around her wrists like arcane bangles, but seem to be semi-sentient of a sort, making symbols and patterns in the air that may convey her mood (though this latter part is mostly for humorous plot mechanics, and cannot be a sure way for people to identify her emotions, if she is trying to hide them). Although the floating sigils may not look too many when her magic is inactive, they can easily and instantly proliferate into thousands and millions to fashion the necessary grimoires at her behest.
As a user of the Abjugation Grimoire, Levinia Arx Creuset is called an “Abjugator” by those familiar with her type of magic.
Unique Abilities:
- White Augural Grimoire: Gaze of the Hierophant
With the blossoming power of her mind, Lev can remotely sense creatures, thoughts, emotions and auras. She can be acutely aware of everything that goes on in her magic sensory range just by focusing her mind, and is passively cognizant of any object that enters her magic sensory range; however, cloaking magics of her rank and above can conceal these things from her. Shrouding magics of her rank will not be entirely successful, for she will perceive something is within her sensory range but will be unable to tell what it is. Her sense also permits her to read the thoughts and emotions of others once they are within her magic range and she is aware of them, though it is easier when she can see them (and unless they have an ability to detect, they are usually unaware of her mind reading, but will admit her gaze is unnerving if they see her looking at them) and can track the aura of a person (like a bloodhound on something’s scent) to their current location (sometimes even if said location is in a different dimension). Her connection to magic and the environment enables her to regenerate 5% of her MP per post. Please note that she can only read the thoughts and emotions of player characters, player controlled NPCs and event NPCs, with permission from appropriate stakeholders. - Azure Augural Grimoire: Music of the Spheres
Levinia’s psychic powers have flourished further to the point that not only can she read the minds of others, she can now interact with their thoughts. She can transfer messages to others without any physical communication, as they will hear her voice inside their heads, though she can ‘alter’ her mental voice so that they will not know who it is. She can also make telepathic connections, and create a psychic “vista”, where different people can telepathically interact with each other. Using this hub, she can convert thoughts or information into imagery, so that the vista is audio-visual. However, no harm can be done to anyone exclusively through the psychic vista (except emotional hurt such as sending across messages that can break hearts and trust). The more minds she connects with, the more focus she needs. For instance, contacting a large city full of people is possible, but will cause her to stop everything else, and suffer a headache from exertion. She can also talk to wild animals and non-sentient living things and gain their trust, making her good with animals of all kinds, except they are being controlled by something else (player characters, player controlled NPCs, important/event NPCs). Additionally, due to her ability to understand the workings of the universe better, Lev gains a passive 50% reduction to all magic costs. - Unlocked at S Rank:

Description: A large, golden sigil appears directly beneath Levinia, then begins to spread out to form a circular grimoire having a radius of 50 meters. This grimoire casts a powerful spell that brings the time of targets to a halt. Thus, anyone of Levinia’s choice caught within this seal is trapped and held immobile for one post, after which they are released in the next post. If, however, they wander into the grimoire again, or remain there in subsequent posts, they are immobilized again for one post, and released in the next. Victims of the frozen prayer also suffer a 60% debuff to their physical speed.
Plot Mechanics: The Frozen Prayer can be used to halt debilitating effects such as poisons, pain, and so on, by freezing the target in time. It can therefore be used to transfer someone who with a time-sensitive ailment to facilities that can better treat them, or keep a target alive indefinitely till a solution can be found to save them, or arrest a criminal. Targets in the Frozen Prayer are in a state of stasis, unable to interact with their environment and having no knowledge of what goes on around them, until the Frozen Prayer is broken or lifted. Description: Levinia releases a pulse of psychic energy that extends as far as 50 meters, creating life-like illusions that can manipulate the senses of sight, smell and hearing. She can create just about anything she desires, play any sound effect, or generate any aroma she desires. However, she must have encountered whatever she wants to generate via the Phantasmagoria. For example, she cannot generate the smell of mangoes, unless she has smelt them before, or has gotten the memory from someone else. Her illusions cannot be physically interacted with; they are intangible, and physical objects will pass through them. They will remain undispelled, however, until their duration is complete, or she wills them away.
Plot Mechanics: Levinia can use the Phantasmagoria outside of battle to generate various utilitarian effects that do not draw from her MP pool, like making a 3-D map, or playing music, for example. Description: Drawing on her powers to bend time to her will, Levinia employs a time-reversal formula to repair or remove damage. Levinia can employ a group of sigils to craft a miracle grimoire that covers a 50 meter maximum radius. Any ally within its boundaries is healed of 80 HP damage, whether organic or inorganic.
Plot Mechanics: This is actually a powerful ability that reverses the flow of time around the damaged object to repair it. As a result, even grievous injuries such as lost limbs or destroyed organs can be repaired. Since it is more of a time-based ability, it is also capable of “healing” or repairing non-organic sentient creatures and structures (as long as they have “hit points”), as well as alleviate curses of diverse sorts. Thus, she can even use this technique to repair machines and structures. To repair a damage or injury that was not inflicted the same day will cause Levinia serious mental strain; the further back the damage, the higher the strain. However, if she can persevere, she can fix it. This time based RP plot mechanic is subject to the permission or approval of player character owners, mods and/or admins, when objects or characters belonging to player characters or events are involved. This ability is also a very good “tidy upper”, as far as damage to clothes or dirt is concerned, and Levinia often uses this to put her looks back in tiptop shape after a tough or messy battle (this last ability to ‘clean up’ does not really require any MP cost, as it is not useful in combat, but only for aesthetics).

Description: Drawing on the powers of her mind, Levinia creates various grimoires, which can select a maximum of seven persons, including herself. The grimoires encircle them, and they fade out of all physical senses, and even thoughts, so that even current antagonists would find it difficult to remember who or what they were ‘antagonizing’ when the Transcient Whisper takes effect. This is because the targets of the Transcient Whisper are drawn into a meta-world, connected to, but detached from the current plane of existence. Those blessed by the Transcient Whisper have the extra ability of passing through objects and barriers, or can even completely disable these barriers, provided the barriers are on the rank of the magic (A-rank) and below. However, to pass through a magical barrier or disable it, the person under the effects of the Transcient Whisper must sacrifice an amount of MP equal to the cost of the barrier. Also, they must physically touch the barrier in order to affect it, and can only affect one barrier per post. When affecting a door with sealing magic (or even a mundane locked door), provided the magics on the door are of the same rank or below that of the Transcient Whisper, "disabling" the door will disarm all the locks and cause the door to open silently (even if it naturally does not do so). While their ability to interact with physical matter is limited, they can do so as long as they are careful. Attacking a target dispels the Transcient Whisper of the one who does so. Description: Levinia creates a large grimoire, within which a bubble is generated. This bubble is as sturdy as they come, able to defend against powerful attacks. However, it has another ability that adds to its power. On perceiving an incoming magic attack, Levinia can redirect the attack away from the shield, just as it approaches, by psionically manipulating gravity around the bubble to deflect the attack. The attack can never be directed back at anything or anyone to cause damage, and Levinia must expend magic power equal to the cost of the attack, in order to successfully utilize the redirection. However, the shield does not receive damage from any deflected spell. She cannot deflect spells higher than the rank of the Ultimate Planet, though, and can only deflect one spell per post.
Plot Mechanics: Levinia can create multiple smaller Adamant Planets to trap many targets, if she needs to turn in a large number of enemies. Description: Levinia unleashes a colorless pulse of overwhelming psionic energy that causes targets caught within it to suffer a 60% reduction to their spell damage, and a 5% MP drain (which goes to Levinia) for the duration of the spell. They also have their wills hijacked by her own, rendering them her completely loyal servants for as long as the spell is active. She can order them to sleep (in which case they will not attempt to, but will shut down into deep sleep immediately), go insane (if she's into that kind of stuff), or even go so far as altering their memories, and making them believe something different from what they had originally experienced, or completely forget events. The Mind Control ability can only work on player characters, player controlled NPCs and event NPCs when proper approval has been obtained.
Plot Mechanics: Levinia does not really like using this ability, as she doesn’t ever like to pass off as a dictator or such stuff. Sadly (according to her), it is one of her powers that she has the least control over, and can be activated unwittingly in times of dire stress. Otherwise, she can take control of targets without anyone being the wiser. Unimportant NPCs may be charmed indefinitely, even after the spell expires, as long as such does not affect the outcome of any battles or events in which player characters, player controlled NPCs and event NPCs are involved (unless permission is granted).

Description: Levinia’s personal grimoire bangles confer a passive healing effect on her. She regenerates 5% of her HP per post, once any injury is inflicted on her.
Plot Mechanics: The Godling’s Vigor enables Levinia to rapidly heal herself of life-threatening injuries in a matter of seconds, making her very, very difficult to kill, since she can regenerate any lost or damaged organs immediately. And while she can ignore great pain or damage to continue functioning at peak capacity, this does not influence her resistance to damage. It does enable her to awaken from drugging, poisoning, or being knocked out quicker than the average person, and it grants her a near immunity to inebriation. - Name: Godling’s Spirit

Description: Levinia creates a grimoire that manipulates life, space and time forces at the same time to negate harmful status effects cast on allies, such as poison, debuffs, blindness, etc. However, for each person affected, she must pay the MP cost used to cast such an affliction on the ally, as well as the original cost of the technique, and can only negate one negative ability per post (not per person). Interestingly, whether afflicted with an ailment or not, allies who find themselves in the Esuna grimoire naturally receive a 5% regeneration of their HP. The Esuna is not a defensive ability, because it only cancels negative effects on its rank (B+) and lower, and cannot protect against attacks.

Description: Manipulating space and time in tandem, Levinia uses her sigils to create spherical grimoires: small balls of tightly packed runes. These spherical grimoires are extensions of her bangles, which she can throw to a maximum of 75 meters. Their function is simply to teleport the target to another location within her (not their) burst range. Since the grimoires are connected to her bangles, she can teleport herself without having to create any spherical runes. Teleportation can only be done once per post, whether for herself or a target (for example, if she teleports a target, she cannot teleport herself in that same post), and OOC permission must be obtained to successfully teleport player characters, player controlled NPCs and event NPCs.
Plot Mechanics: Levinia can create "gates", grimoires that allow for mass teleportation through space, to dimensions that exist even beyond the plane of Earthland (once she has seen it before, whether directly or through another's memories), and maybe even time, if certain factors are accounted for and certain conditions are met. The “center of her teleportation hub” is a place she simply refers to as the Vault, a massive chamber in an unknown dimension, in which she can teleport items to, or from, or even people, to protect or imprison them. This allows her to summon any weapon, armor or item she actually owns (like a mystical sheath of sorts). Maximum number of items which can be brought into a thread still apply to this. Permission must be obtained from player characters, player controlled characters and event NPCs before they can be teleported.
- Name: Verdant Amulet Grimoire: Telekinesis

Type: Passive
Description: Levinia can extend her will up to a maximum distance of 75 meters anywhere around her to remotely influence objects. She can use this versatile power to retrieve objects from a distance, hold objects aloft or secure, push objects away from herself, and even levitate herself. While she can still move at her normal speeds when levitated, all other objects under the sway of her telekinesis can only move at 75 meters per second (unless her magic is influenced by buffs that increase/reduce spell speed). While she is capable of lifting great masses even beyond what her physical body is capable of, she cannot perform any direct offensive or defensive techniques (like choking, flinging, crushing or shielding... though she can still drop things from inclement heights). In combat, her telekinesis enables her to manipulate up to a maximum of 7 items/objects (assume she has 7 extra arms, in addition to her two natural ones, that can reach as far as 75 meters and move at a speed of 75 meters per second).
