    White.

A woman of white appeared in the midst of his hopelessness and suddenly struck him with speechlessness. She was a fair young woman—her hair was white like snow, her skin white and blanched like that of a doll, and her white dress and stockings having almost ethereal qualities. Yes, Ahote thought to himself, he had never seen a woman quite as white as herself. It was only her eyes that kept him from being lost in her whiteness. Its silvery blue color twinkled in the sunlight and reflected back like a deep and rich ocean on a stormy day. Yes, the eyes kept him from her mesmerizing whiteness, but the blueness of them was equally beckoning.

Compared to her, Ahote was her polar opposite. He was cloaked in black and brooded in a gloom that always seemed to cling to him, and although he was very white in complexion himself, it was a very pale, unhealthy looking white. If one looked at him through the shadow his hat cast over him, they'd say, "Look at how sick he is!" But they weren't entirely incorrect—he had the whiteness of a dying man, or a man without vigor. His golden gaze wasn't as pretty as hers either, having no light reflect from them or, well, anything at all for that matter. His gaze was cold and unfriendly, and while golden, looked as if nothing he had made him feel nearly as rich. He bore the eyes of a man who truly, sincerely, had looked lost and unkind.

Ahote's enchantment subsided, and he'd finally say something in between breezes that crowded them. "Excuse me, ma'am. . ." he started icily, "which direction is the exit?" This might've seemed like a strange question in other cases, but with him standing idlely by, surrounded by hedges of plants and roses, it seemed like the only solution for a man such as himself lost in a labryinth.

    Black.

A man dressed in the darkest colors of the abyss stood in front of her. Just like the dark shadows in the forest, the man possessed a mysterious aura about him. To Alicia, the man also reminded her of a lone Corvus who was away from his murder of crows. He looked pale and unwell as if his very life danced to and fro at the doors of death. There was something about this man that piqued Alicia's interest... something about him exuberated darkness and shadow. This man seemed to have a hint of danger. However, there was one detail that spoke to Alicia's heart... This man... whoever he was... seemed to have a cloak of melancholy draped over his figure. His silent lips seem to speak about an ever quiet sadness. Something about this person made Alicia feel as if she had to reach out and lift that cloak of melancholy. She wondered if there was something underneath.... she wondered if perhaps this man possessed something aside from his cold demeanor... was it possible? Could she perhaps make this man smile? After all, a very dear friend of her once said laughter was the best medicine. A single genuine smile can ease the burden of a thousand sorrows.

And so she did... Alicia smiled... she smiled at the man who seemingly could not smile. Her smile was not bright or sunny. Her smile was delicate, small yet beautiful just like a drifting snowflake.

    "Hello, stranger"
that was her response to the sickly and melancholy man. She walked up to him to make the distance between them shorter. "the exit... if I recall... was it that way... no... perhaps it was that way..." Alicia pointed to one direction, then to another. She turned around as if searching for which direction to go. Her white skirt twirled around like snow drifting in the gentle wind.

"Sorry I guess... I too am lost..."
she let out a soft laugh "Perhaps we can... I don't know... maybe search for the exit together?" Alicia asked the man that stood in front of her. She looked up to meet his gaze. Her icy blue eyes met his golden gaze.

    Gold.

That was the color of his eyes. Gold. As if King Midas himself touched the very fabric of this mans soul. It was striking...  and intimidating...but most of all.. it was breathtakingly beautiful. Despite this, Alicia maintained her playful demeanor. She was far shorter than the man. From an outsiders look, the two seemed to be a spitting image of a snow angel and an angel of death lost in a maze of roses.

"My name is Alicia, by the way... Alicia Jadelynn Sinclair" she smiled.

"And what is your name stranger?"

Alicia Jadelynn Sinclair—a name that went well with her regal appearance and angelic air, and just like him, she was lost. Most people didn't introduce themselves so completely, leaving Ahote to wonder if he was supposed to make a connection to the name during her introduction. Regardless, the sickly looking man decided not to get too attached to it since they would likely never meet again, as these sort of meetings would often end up. Because of this, reciprocating the introduction never would really cross his mind. Except this time where, instead of being an expectation, it was instead an actual question. Dodging it or refusing to answer no longer seemed to be an option.

"Ahote. . ." he named himself quietly, looking down at her neck to avoid making eye contact. But in doing this, he noticed a lot of her other features. He had noticed it before, but her skin was pretty and clean. Her neck was slender and she was rather short compared to him, so when he looked down at her neck, he could somehow see most of her body and how it all shared similar characteristics: the prettiness, the cleanliness, the whiteness, and how it all looked soft to the touch. He didn't like to notice these things about people since it felt intrusive and perverse, but that's what ended up happening anyway.

Ahote tried to avoid interacting with others when he could since he was never equipped with the social skills to really feel comfortable, and it was no different in this scenario. However, declining Alicia's offer seemed too cold-hearted for the sympathetic Ahote who was just as lost as she was. So, raising his gaze for only a moment, Ahote stared at her. "I don't mind. . . but do you have any idea of the exit's general direction?"
