Trying to describe the sensation was impossible. Thrusting and pulling at once. Shrinking and growing. There was no word to describe the mix of sensations assaulting her body. It was undefinable, and that alone made it worse. It was confusing, unsettling, and completely impossible to understand. She couldn't even remember how this happened; how it started, how it ended, what happened before it. Concepts like time and space eluded her now. She couldn't even tell if she was screaming anymore; sound just seemed to fade into oblivion. Was there even sound? Was she hearing a scream, or was it the terrible shrieking that took over her thoughts and refused any attempts at logical reasoning? It was a mix of pain and confusion, black and white, light and dark. There was everything and nothing at once. A state of constant flux. There was only one constant; one thing allowing her to retain sanity through the ordeal; metal. She could feel the solid structure surround her shifting form, holding her in place and preventing her from shattering and melding with the chaotic abyss around them. It was the sole solace and safety with her. She didn't even know what it was that protected her now, she just knew it was metal. Suddenly, just as quickly as the ordeal began, it ended. There was still, there was sound, and light, and reality was whole again. Her body shrieked in pain, her mind reeled in exhaustion, and soon the black void of unconsciousness took her.

There was an unnatural still in the complex now. Broken parts and scrap filled the once pristine hall, the former home of science and order. The few left working were a mix of warning signs and unanswered dialogue boxes, desperately flashing to try and warn any living people of the problem far too late. Blood was splattered everywhere, the remains of every living person in the premise turned into a new color for the walls. The explosion had rocked the complex, and the explosion of pressure and energy made quick work of anything softer than steel; and even destroyed most of the steel immediately surrounding it. Yet, despite all the chaos and destruction, a sole figure remained steadfast.

Frozen in the center of a room, stood a towering robot. It's head scratched the ceiling, and it's feet sunk into the floor, it's massive weight crushing the weakened concrete. It was a gleaming construct, it's varied plates and pieces crafted with seemingly inhuman levels or detail. Bright yellows and reds decorated the dark blue shell, forming a humanoid shape. Despite that, there were distinct animal traits accompanying it. A long, flexible tail, with towering horns on it's head, and two long pieces of metal mocking wings on it's back. The hulking figure stood motionless in the center of the room, cradling a smaller creature in it's arms. It was a young girl, covered in blood. Her limbs were broken and angled in improper places, and her breathing was shallow. Yet, the figure did not move an inch, focused solely on protecting the tiny creature in it's arm from anyone who might find them.

The experiment was far more successful than Mythica could have hoped for. While the facility creaked and groaned under the pressure she caused, the guild master stood at the base of the large machine as the light grew brighter and brighter. The concrete walls began to crack all around her and red siren lights flashed constantly to warn of impending danger. Mythica however ignored all the signs completely and focused on the objective. With one hand outstretched, the surge of magical power quickly enveloped the entire area! The massive spinning metal machine would continue to pick up speed as the light in its center grew brighter and brighter by the second. All the while Mythica's face had nothing but a maniacal grin the entire time.

Finally, the glorious experiment came to a sudden end when the machine exploded with magical light! All around Mythica was completely enveloped in the fires and destroyed. Not her, however, she welcomed the results of her magic with open arms...

When the dust finally settled, the entire facility was nearly destroyed. The remains of Nightmare's scientist lay scattered across the ruins, and toxic chemical fumed poured from the leaking pipes and tanks that were damaged in the process. Even the roof of the underground building lay broken, the brilliant light of the sun shining down into the cavern of darkness... And Mythica stood perfectly still, observing the results of her experiment. In her view lied a massive robot, unlike anything Nightmare had created. But what was even more interesting to the clock eyed wizard was the little body it gripped in its arms. It looked bent and broken, but Mythica knew it was still alive. A wide smile grew across her face, for this experiment was a complete success!

Even with her facility and staff completely disposed of, there was no way Mythica was going to waste this opportunity. SHe had just summoned a being from another dimension, and she was going to make as much use out of it as she could. The only issue was the robot. It seemed damaged, but still functional, and highly threatening to boot. Mythica had no interest in wasting her time with it. The girl simply snapped her finger, and before long the ground began to quake violently. Soon after, massive spider-like robots burst from the ground! They surrounded the large mech and prepared to take it down. "Destroy it... But the girl is mine."

The giant figure made no moves, despite everything that happened around it. Like a statue, it held it's place, oblivious to the world. The face, or at least what appeared to be one, was locked on the child within it's grip, slightly bowed as if weeping imaginary tears over it like a parent grasping the dying body of their child. As the machines rose them ground, it finally started to move. It's head slowly spun around, looking at the forms appearing around it. It pulled the child tighter to it's chest, sliding her onto it's one arm slowly. She cried out as she was moved, even in her unconscious state shrieking from the pain slight motion caused her. The machine seemed to recoil from that itself, staggering a moment as if wincing. Soon though, it held her in one arm, shielding the crippled form from outside view. With that, it made it's first step since appearing, turning to better face the aggressors. Its weight was proving too much for the facility; loud crashes and cracks echo'd as it crushed the floor beneath it. After that, it paused again, staring down the crowd before it, waiting for a move.

At their order, the spider drones began to move. The fanned out and approached the robot, trying to surround it from all sides. Following attack routines, for every machine that moved in towards the creature, one stayed back and fired upon it. However, all of the bullets seemed to simply bounced off the metal, making a symphony of clanks and chimes, but not damaging the metal at all. The drones that attacked it, started moving towards it's legs, rushing forward and trying to grapple it down with their tail appendages and hold it in place. Seeing this, the machine swept it's leg out, crashing into the drones and crushing them like paper. Pilling up the crushed forms at the end of it's sweep, it followed through with a kick, sending the heap of metal at the firing drones. It moved as little as possible, it's upper body stiff and rigid to prevent hurting the girl more. Having made quick work of the drones, it stared down the woman before it, once more simply waiting to react.

Mythica had to admit to herself, she was quite impressed with the display of force she just witnessed from the robot. It not only was capable of holding its own, but it was capable of holding its own against a group of Nightmare's Spider-Bots. Either it was a lot more powerful than Mythic had originally given it credit for, or the robots Nightmare had created were just not as strong as they were originally hyped up to be. Hopefully the case wasn't the latter, otherwise Mythica would need to have a very long, painful conversation with her engineering team. But putting that thought aside, she was too excited to think about anything else. This machine was beautiful in its art of decimating Mythica's drones. She surely needed to study it. However, the girl still took first priority.

The painful moan that left her mouth when the Robot moved confirmed she was still alive, even if just by a thread. Good. Mythica knew she was capable of transforming injured bodies into unstoppable killing machines, but there was little she could do for the dead. Even if it saddened her though, Mythica needed this pesky robot out of the way first before she could make any plans for the girl. She wouldn't destroy it beyond repair of course, but it still needed to stop playing bodyguard, even for a moment.

After the last drone fell before the mech's feet, everything seemed quiet. It stared Mythica down, and all Mythica did was giggle innocently as she sat atop a column of rubble, leaning her hand into her cheek. Without warning multiple golden magic seals appeared in the air around the mech! They suddenly burst with light and massive golden chains whipped out from the magic circles. They quickly wrapped themselves around the mech and pulled back its arms and legs, forcing it to drop the girl. It would be utterly immobilized, the chains being too strong for its weakened state. That's when Mythica pushed herself off the rubble and slowly meandered her way towards the little body resting in the ruin at the mech's feet. "Adorable little thing... I can see the potential in her future." She giggled, leaning down and grabbing the girl's face, moving it towards her. Mythica's golden clock eye spun quickly with excitement.
