Sayuri was relieved that her guess had been right. I mean, she had been pretty sure she recognized Shizuka, but there was always the possibility of being mistaken. She was relieved that she had not been. She smiled at her companion, who seemed friendly enough.
"Yeah, it will certainly be an interesting job, that's for sure."
She took note of the girl's weapon with some satisfaction. It looked like an unwieldy weapon, but it also looked pretty powerful. That would be helpful. Sayuri, for her part, had brought her two swords with her. The longer one, Ketsueki, was an enchanted blade in its own right. Her other short sword was not, but it did help her block attacks, which was always helpful. And they helped her use her weapon-enhancement magic, which was definitely important.
She paused for a moment, considering Shizuka's statement. She'd been to Hargeon before, but she hadn't actually been to the mayor's office. Still, she thought she could probably reason it out. She turned, pointing to the nicer building set farther back from the bustling working docks they were at.
"Well, I'm not sure where exactly the mayor's office is, but it ought to be up there, with the fancier buildings. And if we have any trouble, we can always corner one of the city guards and ask them about it- they're bound to know."
