Job Description: One day you receive a random letter from a stranger you do not know. This person seems to be a mage, but it isn’t quite clear. The letter is a challenge that demands you defeat a powerful monster in order to prove yourself.
“Hey there, Rookie. I see you have done some jobs that make you seem like you’re an awesome mage. Well you’re nothing compared to me! If you want to prove just how great you are then I dare you to take out this monster. Bring a friend if you’re too scared!”
A picture of a monster is on the back of the letter.
Roll a normal dice to see which monster you must face. The dice roll is optional and for those that like a bit of random flavor. You are free to choose the monster yourself.

1.
GARGOYLE:
A very quick flying monster that can swipe its claws as it rushes forward in flight. At some point in battle the creature may land, turn to stone, and start to recover small amounts of hp.
2.
TROLL:
Not only will you have to watch out for its clawed and bite attacks, you will also have to be aware and move when it curls up and charges you with its rollout attack.
3.
FLAME GOBLIN:
Small but can be deadly. If not attacking with the knife then the flame goblin can turn his body completely into flame and dish out fire powered attacks.
4.
ORC:
A capable orc warrior with a mace and shield. It may look foolish but orcs are experienced fighters and can block attacks quite well.
5.
GHOUL:
A rotting creature of the undead. It will attack viciously with it’s sharp teeth and limbs but it can also summon smaller extra ghoul sidekicks to aid it in battle.
6.
GIANT SPIDER:
A massive spider standing eight feet tall that will attack with its long spikey legs and sharp teeth. You may even find yourself web wrapped.

The sun was just coming up while Atuzite walked along a path where he was told by many citizens led to a monster nest in the forest. He sighed as he remembered the events of yesterday that led him down this path. It was a normal morning as he woke up in the 2 room log cabin he rented out the night before. He stared out the only window of the cabin and heard the droppings of water outside of course it had to rain. After a few minutes of listening to the rain he stepped into the bathroom of the cabin which looked very clean compared to the main room. While the main room was made of a old scratched up oak wood the bathroom was a white stone that had a glass like surface which was spot clean. He would get undressed and take a shower if you could call a freezing water sprinkle a shower. After finishing his shower he got dressed in his normal black cloak and headed back to the main room just putting Dreogan on his shoulder and putting his gas mask on when a slow heavy knock came from the door. Atuzite yelled “No ones home come back in an hour”.A deep rich voice spoke back “Excuse me I was told a Mr. Fumus slept here last night if you could tell me where he went?”. Atuzite slammed the door open “That would be me, what do you want make it quick.” The owner of the voice was a bulky dark man in a black coat holding an envelope“Ahh so your the joking kind well my master has sent me to deliver this note to you they seem to have found a interest in you.” Atuzite took the note from the man and slammed the door closed in the mans face. He sat on the bed with his back to the window and took a good look at the envelope. It was a black envelope with a almost leather-like texture but, what interested Atuzite most was the seal. It was a glowing teal K seal which had a slight magical aura that he could not tell was lethal or not. After a few minutes of staring at the seal before finally ripping the envelope open. Inside he found a folded white paper with very little text written in red and a picture of what appeared to be a flaming rat on two legs. Atuzite sighed and started to read “Dear Atuzite Fumus, I have heard of you from 2 of my associates though not as impressive as others you still are impressive, if you kill one of the beasts I sent a picture of with this letter and show proof of the kill to my mail servant in the bar I shall pay you, give you another mission, and make you famous -Your Benefactor, Mr K.”
Back in real time Atuzite had finally gotten to the part of the woods where the monster he was hunting was last spotted. The trees around him were all dead with no branches and some stumps which had a black color that almost seemed burned. He then doubled over and puked as he smelled the air. There was a smell that smelled like smoke mixed with rat shit his beast had been here. Atuzite pulled his gas mask on his face and started investigating. Thanks to his luck the first thing Atuzite finds is the source of the smell a pile of giant red rat droppings. From the smell and look of the pile Atuzite made the guess it was fresh maybe 2 hours at most. Unbeknownst to Atuzite five pairs of yellow eyes stared out at him from the tree line as he investigated. After finishing with the pile Atuzite found six footprints one that was definitely a humans while the other five were some kind of rat feet. Four of the five rat footprints looked normal to Atuzite but the other prints were bigger, and had no claws. While Atuzite pondered over the footprints four rats made their move. Four bright red rats charged at Atuzite from the shadows quite happy they that they found lunch. Before, they could anything Dreogan striked from his bush near the rats and without any struggle one of the rats was swallowed by Dreogan. Seeing there friend easily devoured the rats split up in hope of escape. Atuzite immediately reacted and started chasing one of the rats enjoying finally having something to do. Soon the rat and Atuzite were deep in the woods and the rat finally turned around hoping the snake wasn’t behind it. The rat was quite happy that instead of finding the snake behind it there was it’s lunch. Forgetting it was alone it charged the human rather hungry after it’s long run. Atuzite saw the rat charge and quickly summoned some of his mana to make a dagger made of poison. Atuzite dodged out of the attack of the rat and cut its belly as it flew over his shoulder. He then quickly turned around and summoned a snake made of poison and commanded it to attack the rat. The snake slipped out of his hand and bit the rat on the back. The rat slumped onto the ground dying but with its final breath blew fire onto Atuzite. Atuzite ran out the fire and immediately started rolling on the ground trying to put the fire out. After, putting the fire out Atuzite looked over the damage done by the fire. His cloak was burnt in many spots and had turned black where it was white. His thighs had been burnt the most and he limped when he walked or ran. He then remembered about Dreogan and the other rats and started his way back to the clearing. After, 3 minutes Atuzite finally made his way back to the clearing to see Dreogan slumped on a tree with the beast from the picture standing over him. Atuzite moved faster than he ever had before threw the dagger at the beast and commanded the snake to attack it. As the beast easily destroyed his spells Atuite ran at it and raised his hands up to his mouth with a hole which he could blow through. Atuzite blew and a pink cloud of gas erupted out of his hands enveloping the beast which started sneezing. Atuzite picked up Dreogan without taking any side effects from the gas because of his gas mask and jumped out of the beasts range to a nearby tree. As Atuzite jumped the beast set it self on fire and the gas exploded hitting Atuzite’s foot and the beast while setting plant life around it on fire. Atuzite lay against the tree with the air blown out of him and his foot sore. The beast started advancing on Atuzite with a murderous intent. Atuzite had started thinking that this was the end and instead of being known as Fiore’s best assassin he would be known as the guy who died to a giant flaming rat when a voice spoke in his mind. “It’s not your time yet use my power” the voice spoke. As the beast came within five feet of Atuzite Atuzite’s eyes started glowing purple and he slammed his hand to the ground. The ground started cracking from where Atuzite’s hand was and from the cracks a deep purple smoke rose. Suddenly wolf's, deers, bears, and other wildlife came from the forest and attacked the beast. Atuzite watched as the animals finally killed the beast and he fell asleep from exhaustion. Later, he woke up in a hospital bed and looked to see the rewards from his job on a stand next to him. He took his rewards, found Dreogan, and his other things in the stand. After, putting his clothes on he sneaked his way out of the hospital and was on the road again. Atuzite past much of his time trying to find the explanation of the voice in the passing days to no prevail and dropped the research for the time being.
