Upon arriving, you find that the locals know exactly what you're talking about, and announce it's no rumor at all. One of the locals (details of what they look like are up to you) offers to lead you (and your group if you're in one) to the crystal.Upon arriving at it, you find the crystal to be firmly planted inside a large black pillar. The crystal, upon closer examination, seems to by some sort of diamond that's bright blue in color. The local tells you that it only reacts to magic power, and that the local guild hasn't investigated it since it has no immediate danger to the town; if anything, it's been helping the town since it brings in tourists who wanna see it first hand.Out of morbid curiosity, you decide to touch it causing the crystal to glow and suck you in, transporting you to another world entirely... In this world, the laws of yours don't apply. That said, there are some alterations to magic.- Light, Holy, and Unholy Magic Receive a -50% power reduction. In this world, there are no gods, there are no demons... there is only what there is.- Darkness magic receives a +50% boost in power. This world is filled with darkness...
[center]((This job is done in 12 settings, all of which have images for your convenience.))- Violation (Arrival Area):
You arrive in this area, what seems to be a destroyed forest. Around you the silence is eerie, and there are no good smells in the wind. The corpses of nine deer can be seen emaciated, as though they had the life drained from them in an instant. The trees are withered, and no plants are around... Those who are able to grow plants magically will find that as soon as those plants sprout, they wither and die. It's in this scene that you find a girl who seems to appear out of nowhere.
She tells you that you're no longer in your world, and that there is no way to escape. The use of spacial magic, or any spell that normally allows teleportation to other worlds will only yield being teleported directly back into this one. She tells you that there is a way out.
"You have to collect twelve crystals and combine them, then bring them to the core of this wold and free my creator. She will send you home with no resistance at all. But the crystals are found in twelve separate areas, I can teleport you directly to them, that much will be easy. However... each crystal is embedded into a powerful entity that we will need to kill. Once dead, I can remove the crystals but it will take longer if the entities are alive... mostly because they will be trying to kill you."- Boss Details:
Located within the forest, the creature instantly senses you as soon as you look at it. This will occur no matter what effect you're using to mask your presence, or any aspect of yourself. It's 30 feet tall, and with it are 2 more 5 foot tall versions that look just like it. The monster will inhale a massive gulp of air before engaging you in combat, causing a bit of magic (5%) to be drained from you, and worse, checking your lineage. Those players who's lineages make them immune to debuffs, status effects, or curses will instantly have their entire lineage shut off for the remainder of this job.
Boss: It takes 15 hits of B Rank damage to take it down. It deals A Rank damage with its attacks. The two minions will target the girl who teleported you there as they know she will try to remove the crystal.
- Ignorance:
Covered in fog, it's hard to see beyond a few feet. There's no way of knowing what lays beyond you. Those with X-Ray vision, or Infra Red, or some other form of alternate sight that doesn't rely on the interpretation of light particles will be of more use here than anywhere. The boss you face in this area is a black creature that darts around, constantly attacking your back.- boss:
The creature is roughly 1 foot long, and is extremely fast. It hits for B Rank damage and takes 4 hits of damage to take down. However, it's also accompanied by 2 more versions of itself that have the exact same profile. So you have to kill all 3 to find the real one.
- Comfort:
Raining... constantly a downpour as your next battle takes place on a flight of stairs.- boss details:
This one has a pair of chainguns attached to her hands. She's highly mobile and appears well adapted to fighting in close environments. The only real weakness you can find on her is that her small frame, and the fact that she's using a minigun with 1 hand, makes it so she can only fire in bursts. Additionally, with the weapons infused to her hand like they are, getting within stabbing range is the easiest way to bring her down. She deals A Rank damage with all attacks, is very fast and very agile, exceptional at acrobatics, and takes 12 hits of B Rank to take down. She's 5 feet tall.
- Shelter:
An extremely small house with nine children inside, it's obvious none of them are related... However, seconds after you enter the children all morph, and a man steps out looking not much cuter than they do now...- Boss details:
This one has a durability of 8 hits of B Rank damage, however, he won't die until all 9 of the children have been killed. What's more, he'll consume one of the children to regenerate 2 more durability. The children will attack for C Rank damage, each taking 1 hit of C Rank to take down, and their 'master' deals B Rank damage with dark orbs that he can fire at will.
- Weakness:
A dilapidated cabin. Exploration of it will land you in a room where a large pool of blood is in the corner, as well as signs of something small having been tossed around with great force.- Boss Details:
It's unknown wat their significance is, but there's 5 of them, they each deal B Rank damage, take 4x B Rank damage to take down, and seem to enjoy using fists, and knives for weapons. One of them has the crystal, but which one is unknown. Their heights vary from 5' 8" to 6' 1"
- salvation:
Surrounded by stars, looking down will reveal to you that there's nothing below your feet. You feel a strange sense of healing come over you, all wounds inflicted in this world instantly heal over, and your HP is restored by 50% as well as 30% magic power. If you're unable to store anymore MP, it will remain with you in the form of a mist that lingers around your being until needed. After this, a large wolf with a flaming mouth will appear and attack you without mercy... it's a wolf, why would it show mercy?- boss details:
A 30 foot long, 15 foot tall wolf that uses fire magic primarily. It has a flame thrower attack that deals H Rank damage, with all other attacks dealing S Rank damage. It takes 14 hits of B Rank damage to take it down.
- Emptiness:
A desert... vast, empty, lifeless... There's not a whole lot to tell about this place since it's the only one that seems extremely similar to any location found back on earthland up till now.- Boss details:
With not a drop of blood in its body, this creature is made entirely of bone and muscle that has no reason as to why it can function beyond 'reasons...' It's able to attack at range with a bone spike attack that's inedible to slayers, and at close range it has claws, a tail.. a mouth on its back and stomach. The beast is able to fly, deals A Rank damage with all attacks and takes 7 hits of B Rank damage to take down.
- Anger:
Located inside a burning forest, you have no time to take in the 'wonderful' surroundings. Inside this area, player's fire magic is 100% stronger, and Ice/Water magic is 100% unable to be used without it evaporating instantly.- boss details:
Among the flames, by means of erupting through a set of flaming trees, this 50 foot long, 20 foot tall monster blasts its way onto the field. It's wreckless in its movements, attacking wildly and angrily at anything that moves. It deals S Rank damage with all attacks, but due to how weak anger makes someone it only takes 6 hits of B Rank to take it down.
- Hatred:
Out of the pot, into the fire huh? The group's little crystal grabber will let you know you're almost done once you reach this point, and as soon as that happens a massive titan erupts from below, spreading lava and brimstone all over.- boss details:
Covered in flames, and far more focused than before; this being gives new meaning to the saying 'Hell hath no fury like a woman's scorn.' It takes 20 hits of B Rank to take down, and is much more accurate than the anger entity from before. Knowing what the crystal snatcher is there for, it will specifically target her even why under attack from others. The only time it won't attack her is if she's being concealed by magic, in which case, it will target the one who's casting the concealment spell. It deals S Rank damage with all attacks, and can use fire magic that no slayer can ever consume. The titan is 50 feet tall, and while it's fast, it's hard to miss something so massive.
- False Strength:
A world coated in blades of all shape and size, even the ones you have on your person can be found here if you have one at all. There's weapons that existed at the dawn of time, in ancient text, in fairy tales, every weapon that was ever made whether real or fictional are within this single war torn field. For those who make their way to the top of the field, they'll see on the other side countless corpses, fires burning, banners hung in every war in recorded history...and among these corpses is the entity of False Strength.- boss details:
The ground shakes and all the corpses lift in the air, taking on a dark blue glow before moving into a central point, ripped apart and combined in a cyclone. Then combining to a ten foot tall demonic looking creature. While demonic in appearance, its aura has no signs of being unholy in the slightest... though it does reek of decaying flesh. Despite it's intimidating looks, it takes 3 hits of B Rank to kill, and deals C Rank damage with its attacks. It moves slow, but acts as though it's a powerful monster like it wants to be.
- Solitude:
Covered in snow, colder than the silent glaciers at night during winter, the place is about as isolated as it gets. The only thing to guide you are a set of torches lighting a path, and you're at the beginning of it. At the end of the path, you find a large beast in the middle of the road that you can only assume is your target for this area. Like the burning forest, except opposite... Ice Magic is 100% more effective, Water Magic is 100% useless since it turns to Ice instantly, and Fire magic just fizzles out from the extreme cold (no matter how hot your flames are). Wind magic is 25% less effective due to the constantly shifting winds that plague the area.- boss details:
It's a slow moving creature covered in hair that acts like an armour, making it so 40 hits of B Rank is necessary to end its existence. It deals S Rank damage with all attacks, and it has a wide variety of Ice based magic. It's attacks are relatively slow, and it's not good at dodging. It will attack whoever it can get a lock on. The creature is 30 meters tall and 80 meters long.
- Protection:
Once the previous battle in "Solitude" is completed, you find yourselves teleported to the 11th area and faced by a girl wearing a red cloak and wielding a scythe. She's the only boss that speaks to you. "I've been watching you. You fight for... her. Your actions are for your own purposes, but they still work towards her benefit." her voice is fair, and gentle. It gives no hint of her having ill intentions. "I'll give you one of the pieces I've collected, if you can best me and prove that you're strong enough to face the next enemy."
No spoiler this time, this mysterious girl is blindingly fast. She's able to use her scythe with immense skill, and if you manage to get within stabbing range she'll surprise you by turnign the scythe into an assault rifle. At long ranges it turns into sniper rifle that she has every bit of skill with as the sniper. She takes 12 hits of B Rank to take down, and deals A Rank damage with her attacks.
- Tranquility:
The room here seems peaceful, and extremely still. It's decorated in glowing crystals that illuminate every corner of the room and causes this atmosphere. In the middle of it is a lage crystal formation with a girl inside, seemingly frozen in time as she remains. At this point in time, the crystal carrier will go to each of the twelve pillars and place one of the crystals in them before stopping at the twelfth and stopping with empty hands. "The last crystal.." she says before pointing at the girl in the large crystal. Another healing energy will come over you all, healing for for 50% and restoring 30% magic power again. However, this time the magic won't linger if you can't store anymore.- Final Boss:
The crystals in the pillars all light up and fire a beam at the crystal causing it to shatter. However, the girl seems to disappear, instantly reappearing while attacking whoever was closest to the crystal she was in.
The girl takes 30 hits of B Rank to take down, moves at ridiculously fast speed, uses Elemental, Space, and Time magic at a master's level and is entirely immune to debuffs. This immunity to debuffs cannot be removed by any other effect. Her melee attacks deal H Rank damage, and her magic deals A Rank.
- Job completion:
- Once the girl in the crystal is dead, the one who collected the crystals will tear out her heart and set it in the final pedestal. Twelve beams will enter her corpse and resurrect it, with all twelve crystals vanishing as they've merged with her once more.
"Thank... thank you... I'm sorry you were put through this ordeal. Please, let me thank you properly." She extends her hands and before each person appears a crystal shaped like a heart, and a crystal shaped like a skull. "Choose one. The heart will provide you with a very powerful magic item, the skull a weapon. It will become whatever you wish, so long as you can think it."
Once you've chosen, you'll find yourself the spot just outside of Ace of Spades. The pillar you used to enter that world is no longer there, and the person who escorted you says that it's only been a minute since you entered. They explain after you went in, the pillar vanished, and you reappeared here.

Haia knew naught of the large man next to her. He had a large physique and facial hair to match. No matter what she does, the mage could not shrug off the feeling she has a large shadow cast over her. This man was Johann, and that was all she cared as his senior.
It was great to be maskless. Haia never truly bothered with one unless it was a mission that demanded absolute secrecy of one's identity. Haia never made it truly known she was part of the Black Sails. Her appearance varies so drastically most of the time it is hard to say whether she is that person or another. Going with a black leather with yellow highlights this time, her hair without constriction of any band or bow, her boots rubbed against the cobble streets that were damp from a short shower, audible squeaking as her rubber pressed against the wet surface of the cobblestone. The only misplaced object on her body with the white bow with pink hues spreaded beautifully across it like scales. Black does however look good with pink.
Their tasked was a simple one. Investigate the mysterious rumor. The Crystal Spire. Haia was someone with alot of ears and eyes. The people in Talonia were willing to speak if you knew the right way to persuade them, the smart ones made deals or became friends. Apparantly this Crystal Spire can be found at the edge of Ace of Spades and it proved mysterious yet useful. However they knew nothing of it's location and it made her mad. However it seems the group's confusion was easily caught an elderly man on the street. Upon hobbling over, he spoke of their objective and agreed to lead the two free of charge. Haia did not ask Johann for approval, she just followed the old man.
"Well... here we are sir and ma'am," The senior pointed with his walking stick towards a large black pillar, so dark it seems it absorbs all light and a tear in space that rips their reality. Haia folded her arms as the old man lead them closer to the tower. "Yeah now young'uns... I dunno what sort you are but this crystal seems to react to magic power. However due to how the local guild says it is benefiting the town, they decided not to indulge in the effort of removing it or testing it." The old man stopped in his tracks. "Just keep walking young'uns and you should be able to see it up close." With that, the old man hobbles away with his stick while Haia quietly approached the tower.

It had been a while now since Johann had been sent on a mission directly rather than just picking one from the job board, but this one was requested for members of the West Fiore Trading Company specifically to investigate a strange object just outside of Ace of Spades. Additionally, he had also been assigned a job partner he had barely talked to before, and he couldn't help but wonder if this was one of the CEO's shenanigans again. He didn't dislike the girl that was wandering down the road beside him, it's just that he hadn't really spoken more than a few sentences to her before. He, however, hoped that this would change over the course of this mission, and maybe, he thought, they could forge a new friendship. For the time being though, that was but a distant wish.
The air was fresh with the warm summer wind blowing through his hair, carrying the smell of grass around with it. Johann had dressed in the grey version of his favourite coat, unsure of what the weather was like in Ace of Spades, with his company pin where it always was, right above his heart. Johann was lost in his thoughts as he tended to do sometimes, barely noticing how Haia, his job partner, started talking to an old man at the side of the road. He stopped in his tracks as the old man offered to take them to the strange object they had heard so many rumors about. They hadn't really had any success before in finding more information, but if the old man was telling the truth this would be a more than lucky coincidence. With that, he followed the other two closely, each step bringing the small group closer to it's destination.
A short while and a small bit of a walk, they stood before a large black pillar that emanate with a strange energy. It wasn't quite magic, but it was a feeling that Johann had felt recently for the first time ever. The object seemed to manipulate space and time, the old man telling them that it would seemingly react to magic energy. Johann had a strange feeling about all of this and opened his mouth to address Haia directly while the old man was going about his way "Young Miss Haia, I think we should be cautious, this object is unlike anything I've seen before and I have a bad feeling about th-". He was cut off by Haia touching what looked like a small blue gem that was situated in the pillar itself, and their perimeter started to tremble with enormous cosmic power. Everything around Johann went black for a second until a blinding light flashed through the darkness. Johann instinctively covered his eyes, taking his hand away just to see that both Haia and he had been placed in a location completely unfamiliar to him, their surroundings covered in a twilight and dark, dead trees, a stench of foulness and decay hanging over them menacingly ...

Haia however something different. The world seemed to shrunk, get absorb into the crystal as the world rotated around her like a clock. It was an endless spiral with just her and the crystal before she felt a shock and stepped back and fell over her heel. Haia panted and looked around.
The world was disgusting to her. The black trees, felled and rotten. The corpses were left out with flies swarming them. Everything here was withered and black. Haia tried to grab some light but finds herself in grabbing nothing but weak, dying threads. Haia spat on the ground and threw away the light threads. This place made her puke.
That was when she heard something. Haia drew her bow and pointed it towards a lady in purple and despite her hostile presence, the lady approached her without caution. Haia's eyes narrowed before pointing her bow down and her face was calm. "Who are you, and what is this place..."
The lady in purple raised her hand slightly with her palm facing up. Haia presumed her docile for now.
"Beings of flesh do not be alarmed, I am merely a being in search of help for my creator," The lady spoke. "You may call me Pen, as in Pentunia, and I wish to inform you that there is no escape. You two are not of this world and you are not in yours. There is no escape even with spatial abilities."
"State the conditions to leave, I know better than knowing there is no such thing as escape from something magical," Haia growled.
"Brash one, despite your tone you possess intelligence. There is a way, and you two have to work with me. Big man and brash one, there are 12 realms we need to travel to obtain 12 crystals. Each crystal is guarded by hideous creature. These crystals shall free my creator and she will send you all home." Pen then points her pointer at the sound of crashing rotting trees.
A monster, if you can call it that, charges towards the two. With it and it's many appendages was tiny little versions of it. It did not help that it just bloated up to twice it's size, ashen skin stretching like a balloon with purple veins across it's body as it sucks in air like a vacuum while it's little ones scurry away. Haia could feel her energy being drained before the creature belches the air out in a massive roar. The tiny ones started making way towards Pen.
"The creature being here means," A glow of brilliant white in the horizon makes it's appearance. "The crystal is nearby. Protect me and I shall ensure you know why. Kill it, and the process will happen faster."
"You heard her Johann," Haia readies her bow. "The faster we murder this thing the faster we are on to the next crystal. Meaning time to return for happy hour." Haia lets loose a few arrows into the monster's shoulder blades.

It did not help that it just bloated up to twice it's size, ashen skin stretching like a balloon with purple veins across it's body as it sucks in air like a vacuum while it's little ones scurry away. Haia could feel her energy being drained before the creature belches the air out in a massive roar. The tiny ones started making way towards Pen.
"The creature being here means," A glow of brilliant white in the horizon makes it's appearance. "The crystal is nearby. Protect me and I shall ensure you know why. Kill it, and the process will happen faster."
"You heard her Johann," Haia readies her bow. "The faster we murder this thing the faster we are on to the next crystal. Meaning time to return for happy hour." Haia lets loose a few arrows into the monster's shoulder blades.

Johann barely had any time to adjust to his new surroundings, the foul stench of rotten flesh still filling the air, before he and Haia were approached by a purple haired girl, explaining to them that they had been trapped in an another dimension and that the only way out was to free her "creator" by collecting crystals. He truly felt as if he had been sucked straight into the plot of a bad action movie, but he had no time to talk back or ask question as he immediately heard the loud banging of enormous footsteps, a monstrous, black, rotten creature and two smaller ones charging at them, pushing aside trees and dirt like it was nothing.
Haia immediately attacked the beast, and he didn't intend on falling behind "I will proceed and take out the smaller ones while you distract the big one, would that be adequate for you ?"Johann didn't wait for a reply and instead stormed off instantly as the black creatures had already started charging at the girl, propelled by a large stream of compressed air, moving at speeds that made him breach the sound barrier within the blink of an eye, the blade of his rapier digging through the flesh of one of the smaller ones that tried to attack the girl named Pen with the full force of his stupidly fast acceleration. The creature was split into two, collapsing onto the ground. The other let out a bone shaking scream before charging at Johann, it's claws ready to strike down, slashing through the air and at the wind mage.
Johann disappeared on the spot, appearing behind the monster to ram his rapier through his back right between his shoulders. The second beast screamed out in pain before it fell in on itself, sinking to the ground. Johann had made sure that the mysterious purple haired girl was safe before turning around to see how Haia was doing, seeing her still combating the huge monstrosity. Johann made his way back over, now engaging the thing as well by casting a spell, causing 3 white lances of circulating wind to appear above his head, swinging his hand forward the lances honed it on the beast, striking the monster and penetrating it's flesh. The beast let out a loud scream of rage, but didn't stop or falter as of yet. They'd have to bring out the heavier guns if they wanted to bring the thing to it's knees.

...if you had to survive in a world like this, it would seem suitable to be a disgusting hairless monster...
"Excellent work Johann!" Haia praised as she watched the wind penetrate the monster's skin and flesh. But the two had the same thought. It was a very durable monster and it seemed that it would take much much more damage to take it down. Meanwhile thanks to Johann, Pen was running towards the crystal, the white glow in the horizon contrasting the land's gray and moody atmosphere, as if a symbol of hope. It was the first step to home. Haia then watched the monster's behavior changed and it slammed it's claws to the ground, causing a crater to form as the earth shakes beneath them, before it quickly scrambles off to chase Pen.
Haia lifted herself into the air, wings of black and blue fire carrying her away from the chaotic earth beneath her feet, grabbing Johann while at it. For some reason her wings feel stronger and the flames much more intense.
"Intercept the monster Johann!" Haia's wings turn to giant hands that threw Johann towards the monster as Haia fell to the ground, hopefully landing Johann on her desired destination. As Haia landed back on the ground with a loud thud but no broken bones to count, Haia shook herself of dirt and pointed a finger gun at the monster, kneeling down as the flames gather around her arm and shoulder, before form a massive cannon like structure. The lady took a deep breath as she did her aim. She had one shot at this to give this monster a massive blow to knock it down, or hopefully kill it. Gears grind inside the contraption made of flames before a massive cannonball flies out with an earth shattering boom, the recoil causing the earth to shake again.
As the cannonball flew at a considerable speed, smoke bellowed from it as it penetrated the air towards the hopefully distracted monster if Johann was there. It was however running in a lovely straight line and the cannonball was not going to lose air as it flew. It would hit the monster square in the shoulder, causing it break before feeling the explosion that followed, which would blow off at least it's arm, topple the creature to leave it open for Johann and give Pen more time to run and extract the crystal.

The spears of wind dug through the beasts flesh, penetrating it's hardened, black skin, but it was evident that they had to do more. "Thanks" he gave back to his job partner beside him with a smirk, the monster now charging towards them and the purple haired girl "but it looks like we gotta do more". Pen started making her way towards the crystal inside the beast, and it seemed like the monster noticed as it let out a bone shaking roar, falling into a berserk rage, it's claws and arms crashing down on the ground, slashing after everything and anything.
Haia, that now started to fly with wings out of pure fire, Johann watching for a second in awe as he had no idea the girl possessed such an ability, grabbed him and lifted him up. On second thought, Johann didn't knew too much about the girl named Haia at all though. He intended to change that over the course of this fight that was before them. Haia's wings turned into the shape of giant hands of fire, throwing Johann towards the beast to intercept it. What the girl probably didn't know was that the elder male had a pair of wings himself, the malformed and twisted runes on his body spreading, forming a pair of dark wings mid flight, carrying Johann to the beast with astounding speed as he was propelled forward by explosively released compressed air.
Johann took aim with his rapier, slashing the beast at it's ankles, causing it to fall down and stop for a second while landing before it. This was the perfect opportunity for Haia to strike and it seemed like the girl took it as Johann saw a gigantic cannonball flying towards the distracted beast, and with that he jumped away. The force of the explosion shook the earth around and the beast screamed in pain one last time before collapsing onto the ground with a loud crashing sound, and all movement stopped. The large beast had been defeated, and Pen now slowly made her way towards it's corpse, pulling out a large, white crystal from its carcass. Johann now made his way over to the purple haired girl and the large dead creature as well, hoping Haia would join them.

"Wonderful work just now Johann," Haia smiled and laughed, and despite the masculine action, Haia's laugh is rather feminine, almost the laugh of someone who was brought up to be well mannered, but not in a nice way, but more like someone who has been trained to be a servant. Wiping a tear of joy, she looks around the place with a sigh and her eyes grow glum.
"I wish I could help this place, it feels so bleak and barren, it gives off this sense of violation to me, I don't know about you Johann," A short pause, a small breath before she continued. "My fathers told me that the land is to be respected no matter what; hunt only for food, take what you only need. They say to always return the bones of the dead to which they came, give them a proper burial so they may return to the earth where all life comes from..." Haia then gets off and stretches.
"I must have bored the heck out of ya with that talk, come let's see if Pen is done with her crystal stuff," Without waiting for an answer, she approaches their guide in this weird world and looks over her shoulder.
"Miss please do not disrupt the decoding, but seeing how it is done it does not matter now to me," Pen brings her hands forward and the crystal shrinks, becoming a small accessory that attaches itself to a slot on Pen's glove, and it seems there are more similar slots too. Haia recalled they needed all of them to get out, and it seems they have their work cut out for them seeing how many they need to extract and collect.
"We can now leave this plane of existence and enter the next one," Pen raises her hand to a right angle to her body and a white portal, same color as the crystal opens up to them in a bright light. The guide gestures they enter first, so Haia the first step in.
Haia finds her vision blocked and her body engulfed in a harsh fog. The horizon was barely past her arm's length and was nothing but a thick gray blanket. Haia could see the portal behind her, which closes after Pen enters it from the other side.
"Now what?" Haia sighed as she folded her arms.

Johann was somewhat startled by his job partners carefree attitude, but he shrugged it off, making a mental note to himself that Haia most certainly had a hang for the dramatic. "I can only give that back, Ms. Haia" Johann grinned back in a friendly manner. "I suppose so" Johann answered to the girls comments, reminiscing of his own family. His father had never told him such a thing, but then again his father wasn't in charge of most of his education, and he wasn't around after ... . Johann shook his head. "Not at all" he gave back, smiling friendly once more "To grow you need more than just one perspective".
That was before Pen extracted the crystal, doing something to it before it shrinked and she collected it to attach it to her glove. "What a truly peculiar oddity" Johann mumbled more to himself than anyone else as Pen announced that they would now leave for the next dimension with a portal suddenly springing up beside her. Johann raised his eyebrow and kept watching, but Haia had already made her way to the gate and, with some impressive confidence, was the first to step into the unknown. Johann sighed, knowing that there was no other choice, he too making his way to the white shining portal and stepping through to be followed by Pen after him before the iridescent dimensional gateway disappeared behind them.
Johann noticed that he could barely see anything and waited for his vision to adjust to the dimly white surroundings before he realized that that wouldn't happen, they small group was covered in thick fog, impairing anyone's vision beyond arm's length. "I have something that will work" Johann replied to Haia's remark, the red rune in his red left eye showing up, starting to glow in a deep, crimson red, enhancing his vision by a great deal as he could see traces of the land through the harsh weather. "Mostly empty, barren land and no traces of life to be-" Johann's sentence was cut short as something extremely fast penetrated the fog behind him, shooting towards his back. If he hadn't had his lightning fast reflexes he would've been hit, but he turned on the spot, ramming his fist down and into the beast before he heard a cracking sound and the thing disappeared back into the fog, followed by an omnipresent, malicious cackling. Johann's normal eye had trouble following the movements in the fog, so he closed it, leaving him with the infrared vision of his left one. He drew his rapier, seeing 3 of those ghost-like creatures zoom around at high speeds as if it was nothing. "3 enemies, extremely fast, watch your backs" he gave the other two the quick rundown before storming off into the fog to start a high speed chase with the monsters.

"Just stay with me okay Pen? I can't really do anything useful right now sadly,
so you just gotta stay on your toes..." Haia had sweat running down her face as she spoke as confidently and brave as she could towards their companion. However Haia's own fears where beginning to well up inside her. Haia hated when things got quiet, she despised being silenced for long periods of time unless it was for a logical reason. The thought of mute or deafness scared her. The mage wanted to experience the world, her ears and mouth served her as well as her own eyes. Haia knew all five sense was important but it was the one related to hearing that she would be scared to lose.
The fog rolled. Haia made a blade of fire with her hand. It could be one of the devil things Johann had spoken off earlier, or Johann moving through the fog. Haia hoped it was the latter that did it. Haia may have pin point accuracy, but she cannot hit what she cannot see. The mage squeezed Pen's hand, a comment about the slight pain fell on deaf ears. Haia had faced situations where sight obstruction was a thing, and most of the time she won battles by listening or predicting movement. However whatever these are, they moved with absolute silence at speeds Haia can only imagine. Prediction was not a choice either as she cannot read her opponent. Haia raised her blade at riposte, hoping to perhaps catch him.
The fog rolled again. This time there was a cackle.
"It is advisable we stay put," Pen said with nonchalance. Haia wanted to gut the guide for that comment. The fog moved. No cackle. Haia was slowly going to lose her sanity. Haia then decied to make a shot in the dark and threw her blade in sheer anger, with no clear direction or force as she panted, eyes wide as her insanity slowly gets the hold of her. At least it was going to when she heard a squeal. Haia blinked as Pen spoke.
"It seems one of three has been neutralized." Haia nearly fainted on the spot. What was with her bloody luck.

Johann barely heard the other two as he was speeding through the fog, chasing the one that had tried to attack him earlier. The thing periodically let out a cackling sound while seemingly dancing through the thick air with elegance, but Johann was slowly catching up and his opponent seemed nervous, baffled that the other could see, let alone follow them through the mist that covered the land like a white blanket. The thing made sharp turn, suddenly breaking away to the the right and Johann did the same by exploding a large amount of pressurized air that propelled him to the side, dashing for the monster and appearing right behind it, his rapier descending down onto the thing that now fell to the ground and vanished without delay, leaving behind a small, blue crystal. Johann kneeled down, picking it up and putting it into one of his pockets before turning around, bursting back to where the other two were standing.
"Looks like you held yourselves pretty well. One more to go" he commented on Haia's kill. The hunter did appreciate this little cat and mouse game, and since this situation favoured him over the monsters it did feel like a true hunt. A sinister grin spread across his face as the cackling sound could be heard coming from the fog once more. Johann was waiting for the thing to show itself, his eyes wandering when behind him the pressure pattern of the air shifted just slightly, and he spoke the words that his blood had etched into not just his shoulder, but also his mind. "Indomabilis", the words calmly left him and time slowed down instantly, everything except him moving as if things were in slow motion. For the others it would look like Johann had suddenly gotten a whole lot faster as time flowed normally for them and he turned, seeing the black, ghost like thing clearly now, rushing for him and the other two. He jumped forward, rapier first, piercing it before it too vanished, dropping once more a little blue crystal that hit the ground with a ringing, metallic sound before time started to flow normally again and the speed mage sheathed his blade. "It appears that this is dealt with" he commented, kneeling down and picking up the other crystal before handing it to Pen along with the one he had stored in his pocket. "Shall we go on then ?" he smiled towards his job partner, a broad grin on his face.

He jumped forward, rapier first, piercing it before it too vanished, dropping once more a little blue crystal that hit the ground with a ringing, metallic sound before time started to flow normally again and the speed mage sheathed his blade. "It appears that this is dealt with" he commented, kneeling down and picking up the other crystal before handing it to Pen along with the one he had stored in his pocket. "Shall we go on then ?" he smiled towards his job partner, a broad grin on his face.

"Before we go on... I want an answer. We have been travelling across realms am
I not wrong? And these realms should have a name then right? What are they?" Pen was silent for a moment, then the glove crystal revealed to them a hologram of some sort.
"These areas are named after human emotions and feelings. The one we are in is called Ignorance, the previous one is named Violation, I however cannot retrieve the names of future locations we are about to go to," Pen replied in a semi-robotic tone. Haia raised an eyebrow, however her expression changes and she becomes Johann to follow her through the portal. The white light glazes over them and they will find themselves on a flight of stairs.
The cement was damp, the buildings looking worn and some have their structure littered with holes. Haia looked around. The stairs lead nowhere, only down they go. The dark clouds above them showered them in thick rain, their watery bullets pelting Haia's fair skin. The mage watches Pen appear after Johann before taking a look around again, the portal closing behind her. A bullet shell was on the ground with a design she does not recognize, the girl pockets it, it was definitely a neat looking souvenir.
"Any sight of our opponent this time Johann?" Haia asked. The mage did only possess regular eyes, though they are sharp and her ears trained. The sound of gunfire however would break any conversation. A figure rises through the skies, a stream of yellow coming from its shadowy appearance before suddenly another stream of light came towards them, deviating as they came towards the group but for such a weapon, the shots were almost on point and Haia jumped away before they started chipping away at the cement. Haia took her bow out. The figure was gone from the sky.
"Clearly something big, should not be hard to find if we can see it from all the way from there..." Haia conjured her wings and begun to descend down the stairs while carrying Pen. However despite how much any of them are to descend, they seem to be stuck on the stairs, unable to reach the city that was visible to them. Nothing they did seem to close the distance. Eventually Haia rests against the stairs.
"I don't like this, what twisted world is this," Haia sighed. "Guess we wait for our opponent, seeing how it is from that place.

Johann stood there, staring as a gateway to another realm opened once more, listening closely what both Haia and Pen had to say, nodding periodically as he took in the information. "Named after human emotions, hm? Nice mess we got ourselves into here ..." the elder male thought to himself as Haia stepped through the portal before he followed quickly, the passage closing behind him as Pen made her way through and- he set foot on the cold ground. It's not just that it was cold, it was slippery. In fact, it was raining heavily, the drops pouring from above as if they were standing under a small waterfall, drenching him instantly. "At least that's better than the mist" he mumbled under his breath before responding to Haia's question and starting to look around.
The heavy rain definitely made it somewhat hard to see, yet Johann relied once more on his infra red vision, his left eye turning black, revealing a shining red pupil in it's middle. Their surroundings looked urban, yet desolate, and the staircase they found themselves on seemed littered with small holes everywhere "Nothing yet, maybe we -" the elder male couldn't finish his sentence as he noticed the shifting pressure pattern of the air above, a hail of metal cracking the ground where he had just stood, Johann only narrowly avoiding the surprise attack using his superior reflexes. "Looks like we found our opponent, or rather, they found us ..." he commented harshly, his extreme reflexes enabling him to watch the bullets as they were flying down towards them along the multitude of small drops.
"Indeed, it is shifting quickly, however" he replied to his job partners comment as he scanned the sky for the source of the volleys. The girl started flying, and Johann followed, the runes on his body erupting into black wings that lifted him up, closely following Haia who was with her carrying their mysterious companion named Pen, stoping with them after the short while. He gave Haia a nod in response to what she had said, commenting on their surroundings himself "Our best bet would probably to fight in the air, unconfined to the boundaries of this small enclosed space while simultaneously keeping Pen out of harm's way" as he scanned the skies for the one that was producing the storm of metal before eventually , from the corner of his eye, spot someone flying through the air a good distance away.

...Great she flies, with bullets!...
Haia opened her eyes again, and look towards Johann. Haia then looked towards the ground again. It was probably stupid for doing this, sitting down while the enemy was capable of shooting them from a long distance, and that Johann seem alerted by this enemy. However Haia had to remain calm and collected, cause she did not want to bring back a dead body. The woman got up and loaded an arrow into the arc of the bow. Silently she listened.
"Johann... I want you to listen," Haia spoke softly, yet with a loud firmness. "I can't outrun her bullets." Haia looked seriously towards Johann, a burning reason within her eyes. "I'm not gonna try to be a hero here now, but keep our escort here safe. Whatever you do, keep her safe you hear?" Haia saw their target, and it landed without using any bullets.
It was huge, the black gears on it whirling and grinding with an animosity. It was out to kill them. However it was not the dangerous weapons on it, nor the sound of its weapons gearing up. It was who was controlling it. A mix between man and machine. A young girl with blond hair on her head, faded and bleached, with black tentacles around her eyes and head, like veins that came out from her head. The girl's eyes had a blank expression to them, a void emptiness in them. She was in a tight posture, clearly adopting a stance to protect her main body. Haia took a breath and closed her eyes.
The world was black to her, sound was her vision. As the rain showered more heavily, the guns whirled louder. Then a tornado of bullets, flying through the air that they pierced the droplets and twisted the wind around them. Haia got ready. Almost instantly, a blinding light burst forth from her body, and bullets started hitting something, a large cloud of dust forming. The cloud shrouded both the gunner and wherever Haia is, with only flashes of light indicating the gunner's position. The cloud slowly disperses and the sound of glass shattering is heard, around Haia was a weak barrier of light, barely holding itself together. But it survived the onslaught of bullets miraculously. Inside this barrier was Haia, breathing hard as she struggled to maintain the barrier up.
Johann better follow up while the girl reloads or Haia is going to have his ass.

Johann's enhanced gaze slowly scanned the thick layer of rain that surrounded them on all sides, his glowing red left eye spotting their airborne opponent, from what he could see a horrible conglomeration of gears, machinery and, perhaps most importantly, two large sets of impressive weaponry fixed to the form. But there was something else, and for but a second he swore that he could see the colour of long, flowing blonde hair find its way through the storm. The image became even more clear when their foe stopped it's flight for but a short time, and now the image that unfurled before him and his extremely heightened sense of sight could be seen clear as day: A young girl, embedded into a monstrosity of a machine, a pair of dull, white eyes staring at him and Haia through the rain with calculating and cold intent.
"I'm listening" Johann simply responded to the girl behind him without even finding the time to break concentration and turn around, instead preferring to keep his eyes on their enemies every move, however slight it may be. "What ? I'm not gonna let you stay behind, this is ridiculou-", Johann promptly stopping in his word when he turned only to meet Haia's eyes, the flame flickering through them taking the breath from him. He knew those eyes, eyes of wild, unwavering and unfaltering determination. There would be nothing he could say that would convince the girl to do otherwise, and so he begrudgingly bit his bottom lip before murmuring "... Fine, but you keep yourself safe, you hear ?". Behind himself, he felt the air shift, and flashes of light flared up, "Shit !"
Their opponent had used their short moment of distraction and unleashed a salvo of metal towards them, impacting around Haia and swirling up dust all around. The runes all over Johann's body lit up in a deep, menacing red without delay before digging across his flesh, his arms, and finally his face where they reached the other eye, turning this one, too, black, a deeply red glowing pupil in its middle. He had no time to lose, and an aura of strength and magical energy emanated from him before dark, runic wings started forming on his back and he raised himself up, folding the wings back and exploding forward mid flight like a jet. The girl obviously hadn't anticipated such speed and for but a second was paralyzed when Johann appeared right before her small form, rapier in his right hand raised above his head before slashing it down violently. She had managed to raise an arm and the attached clump of metal to protect herself, but now was even more startled when the same arm was separated from her body, falling to the ground with a loud crash. Johann, however, had already changed his position, flanked the girl who was still trying to figure out what had just happened to her, albeit with unchanged stoic expression, but it wouldn't help her. Before she knew, Johann's blade had dug its way through her from behind, the machine around her giving off a loud, steam like sound as it powered down before Johann ripped from her chest what looked to be the next crystal, still hovering in the air as her lifeless body slowly sunk before gaining speed and crashing into a house, dust and smoke rising up before slowly dissipating in the heavy rain.
"Haia !" his job partner had been hit, and he promptly turned, making his way back to see if she was okay. He had seen how the bullets had impacted, but not what had become of the girl. Clutching the rapier in one and the crystal in the other he made his way back to her and Pen as fast as he could, landing back on the platform they had found themselves on in the first place "Haia ! Pen ! Is everything alright ? Do you need help ?" Johann immediately rushed towards them "I hope you're okay, but, I think I have the next Crystal. What now ?" a questioning look turning from Haia towards the mysterious other girl. He just wanted to get through with this. This was too dangerous, and he sincerely hoped that they would manage to survive this unscathed.
