    Icaro

    Post by Icaro on 26th August 2017, 4:06 pm

    Name Icaro
    Gender Female
    Age Twenty-five
    Birthday October Seventh
    Sexuality Straight

    { persona }

    'Save.. Be saved... S'all the same, sweetheart,'

    Icaro plays her part perfectly. Stood confidently, long legs and pursed lips, she is the prototypical femme fatale. Tough as nails, rough as all the boys but retains enough distance to preserve a seductive guile. Practiced, polished, it is no accident that the woman never finds herself feeling out of place with a talent to read a room like a map. Shameless flirt, master class on acting tipsy, Icaro is a thief who never steals. Icaro has been known, happily, to play the role of big sister, surrogate daughter, damsel and dainty lady of wealth. Whatever the façade du jour, Icaro does what needs to be done, and she does it well. In another life she may have been a gifted actress.

    It's not subtle, even somewhat overplayed and somebody with a gift for reading faces would pick her as a seasoned gambler, maybe the very intuitive makes her as a con artist. Icaro is a cunning, manipulative liar motivated by self preservation and achieving her goals. She possesses a sharp intellect and deadly patience which make her a master of the long con, she will happily wait weeks, months or years as long as her plans continue unabated. Suspicious to the point of paranoia, Icaro keeps her behavior exceedingly measured and precise; no action is unintended, each line rehearsed and replayed, nothing is genuine, nothing is real.

    In a way, Icaro is the perfect companion. She is whoever you need her to be and she will do whatever it is you need her to do; if you savor the solitary quiet of the long road Icaro will stride silently along but if you need a charismatic leader to motivate your adventure then she will sing you folk songs of false endeavors. For most people, the outward result of Icaro's deception is more than enough to mask and even outweigh whatever ulterior motives she might have and most of her interpersonal relationships tend to be mutually beneficial in the end. Let's say though, through all this you see past her lies then you'll only have one question to answer: why does she need you?

    'Now we find out... Do I need you... Or do I really need you?'

    When the guns go off, Icaro is no truer example of fight or flight. In the end, Icaro puts herself above everything else. The moment she is faced with a life threatening situation, her analytical neurosis flares up ad infinitum and she will weigh every goal and every plan against her life in this moment. In a situation where she feels the goal she is working towards cannot justifiably incur a threat as great or greater than the current threat, she will do whatever it takes to disengage or flee from that threat as quickly as possible. Once Icaro has decided to flee, almost nothing can be done to convince her otherwise. The only thing Icaro trusts is her own judgement.

    It will often come to pass that Icaro decides a threat does not outweigh her goal or ability to overcome it and she will decide to fight. Once the decision is made, Icaro functions best opportunistically. She is slow to act, analytical and deliberate. In a fight, Icaro does her very best to control every engagement; skirmishing between brief periods of retreat. Everything about her mannerisms while she battles points to risk averse, tactical decision making. Socially and indeed in war, Icaro is a true chameleon willing to execute any strategy in order to achieve victory, provided it is tactically sound. Afforded any chance, Icaro will show her ruthless pursuit of preservation and immediately take the chance to end an engagement permanently if she feels her life is even somewhat in danger. It is in these brief moments a lucky individual might catch a break in the facade, something childlike which cannot be determined, something mysterious but something true.

    All in all, a military commander might think of Icaro as a model soldier; she fights to win as effectively as possible or she doesn't fight at all.

    the calm Not to suggest a love of solitude, but the wanderer is fond of quiet and calm. In the stillness there is no danger, no predator, no prey. Treasured peace before the relapse back, into endless war.
    the flow of things Change is the great inspiration. One thing becomes another to keep the wanderer moving forward. This is the flow of things and there is comfort in that which cannot be denied.
    the rush A sandstorm unearths ruins to be discovered, new places and riches, the thrill of overcoming a challenge. The primal wanderer's spirit, chasing the rush.

    { dislikes }
    • the burden Call it guilt, call it responsibility. One on another the weight piles on until it cannot be carried, no wanderer needs to carry but their own burdens.
    • the futile The undertaking of foolish tasks leads wanderers to ruin. Pride, greed and righteous fury lead to a path which ends in death. Without clear purpose and proper planning, much is pointless.
    • the mask A veil of lies to live behind protects a wanderer from harm but takes a toll. The self must be nurtured, exposure is a dangerous condition and must be treated with care.

    { motives }
    • the wealth The wanderer knows a library is as valuable as a vault. Accumulate a vast wealth of knowledge, riches, strengths and plans so that you may never go without.
    • the road The road leads towards something or away from something. A wanderer crosses the distance of 'where?' to 'where next?'. A road runs between everything.
    • the key Shrug off shackles and chains, a wanderer must be free to roam. Seek the key to free yourself from your oppressors.

    { fears }
    • the reaper The end will come. The comfort of inevitable change is nothing like this certain conclusion; it is the end of a journey, cessation of purpose, antithesis to the wanderer.
    • the brand Trauma follows wherever you wander, it is the pain of the true self. The culmination of woes in time becomes a brand; wear it and pray for secrecy.
    • the self Never show them. They will hate you.

    { aesthetic }
    Height five feet, ten inches (177cm)
    Weight 154lbs (70kg)
    Hair White, naturally straight.
    Eyes Violet.
    Skin Tone Light skinned, somewhere between normal and pale.

    Appearance Charming southern drawl, smokey eyes; Icaro is a beautiful woman and carries herself well. Posture, body language and expression give her an aura of confidence and poise. Unless the situation calls for something specific, Icaro favors practical clothing that doesn't necessarily make use of her obvious assets. Long coats and ponchos, a wide brimmed hat, sturdy leather and knee high boots; it wouldn't be hard to mistake Icaro for the protagonist of an old western.

    Guild less
    Tattoo Icaro wears a black criminal's brand on the lower portion of the left hand side of her neck.
    Rank D-rank.
