The little girl had woken up to Silver bringing a letter into her room, nudging her awake to show it to her. After reading it drowsily once? She sent the wolf off to fetch one of the servants in the castle while she simply sat on her bed, waiting for one of them to show up, because princesses didn’t even do things like draw their own baths! Of course, when the servant showed up they ran a shower instead of a bath, which irked her because the little girl had been looking forward to getting a nice long bath. However she did not throw a fit over it, not that it would not be heard about later because the child had no intent of forgetting, but for now, she just wanted to get things going because the task she had been assigned sounded very important. While she had been showering the maid sort woman had laid out some outfit close to a red riding hood get up, adorable though the knee high heeled boots might be hard to move in Frey would accept it. “I could be gone for several days make sure my mother knows for me when she had time.” the child would never have someone interrupt her mother and it was early so the queen could still be sleeping. “Alright Princess.” the woman had spoken while the child pulled her skirt up, the maid picking up the shirt and other parts as the girl lifted her arms so she could be dressed. “I’m going now, come boy.”  with that she brisked out of her room with Silver at her heels, the Lacrima tucked into a bag on his back, incase they needed it later.

After a few hours of walking, they got close to the place described by the images, where this new job was to take place. “I wondered if they sent anyone else.” it would be troublesome if they had because for all she knew the other mages might mistake each other for enemies. “Yerf, Yerf” it was all the wolf had to comment, well expect for starting to walk ahead of her as if he had found a smell he liked.

Yazuki slowly walked over to the wolf, scratching him behind the ear. He knew that once Princess had arrived, he wouldn't be able to hide too well. Her little wolf friend seemed to really like him. He bent down in front of the wolf and looked him in the eyes with a smile.

"I brought you a treat for later boy," he told the wolf. "You are such a good wolfie. I knew you guys would come. That's why I made sure the letter was sent." He smiled at the wolf, then looked up at Princess. He stood up and walked up to her and bowed his head slightly. "Princess. Good to see you again. I figured I could use a little company again, so I may have done a little bit of research as to where to find you. Turns out the information was correct. Was a little bit of a headache to be honest." He laughed uneasily as he looked a little embarrassed, slightly blushing. "I hope you don't mind. I just know you can hold your own well enough, and Wolfie over there will make sure you don't get hurt too badly so I have a small safety net if i go a little wild."

He didn't know what else to say. He was being honest, it had taken him quite some time to find out where she was, and he had killed the man they were after previously, reducing their reward in half. He felt bad and wanted to make up for it, but at the same time, finding her had been more trouble than he had thought. The wolf he knew would be happy about it, but he didn't know how Princess would take being sought out. "Any... Anyways, welcome to the Phoenix Mountains. Ever been here before? It's not too bad here, huh?"

Silver was clearly delighted to see the tall male approaching them, running a few steps to meet up with him swiftly. When he felt his head scratched the beast rumbled deep in his throat, tail swishing from side to side slowly yet happily. Clearly the wolf liked this man, but of course, by now he adored anyone who was not in savage skill and treated Frey well, looking for someone who could convince her to leave because he did not think such a dark place suited his mistress. Every single day? The wolf felt like he was losing the little toddler who had saved him from starvation back when they first met, ad he didn’t like it one bit. Even so abandoning Rune even if she pointed her blade at him one day, was against the question.

A small smile spread across her lips as he bowed his head slightly to her a return sign that she saw and recognized and approved of his gesture. “How much did your information tell you?” did he know she was part of Savage Skull or just a way to get a letter into her mother’s castle. Both kind of unnerved her, but she did not show this, especially since it was a job that could do a bit for her reputation. “Yeah, Silver would die before he let someone hurt me.” the child did not seem like she was joking either, putting her hand on the animal's flank glancing at him. Ever since the day he started with her, Frey knew it was because he thought that he owed her his life and with what she knew about him, the only time he would call that debt even was when he died for her. Hopefully, that never happened.

“I’m honestly good with any place that has decent food.” the female spoke as she jumped up ripping down a branch and starting to chew on it.

Yazuki searched around in his pockets as she questioned him about what he knew and found his case. He pulled out one of his cigarette looking, lightning charred sticks, placing it in his mouth and chewing before she grabbed the branch above her and started chewing on it. He froze, the case still in his hand. She was an earth dragon slayer, but it seemed like she ate pretty much anything earth... even... sticks? Common ground was not something he felt they would have for a while, but this was a good start. There was one other thing he knew they shared in common, but next to that, he wasn't expecting to find much in common with the Earth Slayer.

"Not enough apparently, Princess," he said with a grin as he started to ease up a little bit. He started chewing his lightning charred stress reliever, looking in the direction he had headed from. "I found out a lot about you, but I refrained from learning your name out of choice. Turns out a few people I know used to know you and may not hold you in the same esteem as they once did."
He looked back at her, staring deep into her eyes with a raised eyebrow and continued chewing. What he had heard would have normally made him more hostile towards her, but upon hearing why, all hostility had left him. He wanted to get to know her, as they were at the same point in their life.

"Truth be told, I joined Fairy Tail because Takumi is my twin. I would have betrayed anyone to find him again. I can't blame you for your actions. I would have done the same thing. They tried telling me your name, but I refused. I feel I rather have you tell me. It's only right. Plus, I still owe you. So I have to be a man of my word."

Frey could pretty much eat whatever she wanted due to the fact her dragon was made out of all that sort of stuff as well. However, it also helped that little girl's body was made from the earth since her mothers was and clearly she could not have a flesh body if the woman who conceived her did not. Pink eyes glanced over his habit, watching as he chewed the stick he had mutilated sometime before today, a small blink showing she perfectly saw what was going on and saw the similarity. There was also a difference here though because clearly, he could not consume the sticks he carried around, while she could devour her own.

The not in the same esteem was the first time the child was really hearing of it, also the first time she was hearing of Fairy Tail since Mongolia. The hood of her cloak shifted slightly as she cocked her head to the side slightly, finger’s running through her pink hair before coming to be in a normal position. “Betrayal.” it was unclear on if she was thinking of the word and the events that had taken place, getting emotional. Frey’s expression could just as easily say she did not know what the word he had used meant. The entire truth of the matter was much simpler than anyone could make it out to be. In spite of everyone giving Frey credit for her older appearance, she was still a four-year-old little girl, especially when she had found out Marceline was her mother. Rune had no knowledge that what she had done was a bad thing to do, nor did she know that anyone would or even could hold it against her. Even with what the lightning user was saying, the little girl was unaware of the true magnitude of what going with her mother was. Maybe that was for the best. “Yeah I’m fine with it being Princess for now.” most people refused to use her title after they learned her given name, so she would like to be called as he was doing for a while longer. Plus? She hadn’t gotten to meet him too much before, had no opinion besides for the fact she liked how he was respectful of her title and power.

He looked at the girl, noting the look on her face. She had no clue as to what he was saying. He contemplated explaining further, but wanted to find a way for her to understand. He stood there for a moment, thinking of a good way to say it. He chewed his stick a bit faster, the stick slowly getting smaller. He didn't actually spit the wood out like most people would assume, rather he swallowed whatever was chewed, since it wasn't like it was toxic.

"I was told you found out who your mom was and left to be with her. That is the assumption that I came to at least. A few of your guild mates were... emotional about it. Hurt if that makes sense. I wasn't involved, and do not tend to get involved in such things. You left to get to know someone you are related to, Princess. That is something some people can never understand, but I do... You left because they are your family. It's not something that can be explained to many, and as long as I am around you, I won't let them take that out on you, even if they wanted to. I just recently found my twin brother. If I was part of a guild and he came to me and asked me to come with... hell, he wouldn't even have had to ask. I would have went with him. I hope this explains it a bit better."

He looked at her, hoping she understood better. This wasn't something he was used to: explaining something out, but then he remembered she was younger than most mages. He looked over at Silver, giving the wolf a a broad smile. A question quickly came to mind.

"So, obviously you read why we were here?"

Watching him swallow the stick instead of spitting it out like she had expected him to do? The little girl smirked slightly, clearly pleased by this for some odd reason. While it wasn't earning respect in the way of her revealing her name before she was ready? It was a greater sense of kinship.

He tried to explain something to her and most children would process the concept in the way he provided it. However it was a topic that the girl was just not ready to understand quiet yet, so most of it did not play connect the dots. “Yeah, I don't understand and I'm not sure I want to, someone who would hold one wanting to be with their family against them, isn't something I want to comprehend.” And she couldn't believe that anyone in fairy tail would be that way! Of course much of this would become clearer the day she came to understand that her actions had been stabbing the guild in the back. For now she was preserved.

Then he asked about her understanding of the job and she smirked at him, stroking silver's neck as she gazed up at the other skater. “They want the area safe again, we just have to figure out what's going on and stop it, straight forward.” Clearly she could at least understand the job and seemed fully ready to get on with this thing, happily so.

“I just need to do one thing before we get going.” Considering the fact this mission seemed like it could be more dangerous than what they last did? The little princess wanted the full range of her movement instead of the limited one she used last time. At first it seemed the child was doing nothing expecting finishing off the branch she had been munching, but then she rolled her shoulders back and a ripping sound could be heard from her outfit as two appropriately sized ashen grey bat like wings extended from her back and stretched to their full length before tucking back closer to her body. Now? She could also dodge attacks by flying up or attack something by swooping down.

Yazuki understood where she was coming from. It's not that Princess couldn't understand what he was saying, its that she didn't want to. He understood the kid's rejection of what she had done. If he was part of a legal guild hunting Fairy Tail and saw Takumi for the first time that way, surely, he would have done the same. He smiled a little bit, pulling out another lightning charred stick, and one he hadn't charred yet that had just been groomed. He contemplated offering it to her, but dismissed it for the moment. Making the area safe was what they were here to do. It was a mission of good will, which he knew would bode well for them both. Yet, he had neglected to ask something the first job they did together.

"Hey Princess, before we take off and blow whatever is in our path to smithereens, I have a question for you. Do you have demonic blood? I need to know so that I can be careful around you if you do. I don't want to cause you undue harm. I'm sure the puppy might not like that either," he laughed lightly, glancing at Silver. He knew his lightning could effect even the earth itself, so even though she bore the element that was supposed to be his weakness, it would not help her if she were caught in the blast like it would for your average run of the mill Lightning mage. He watched her wings pop out after she said she needed to prepare just before his question, slightly impressed that a dragon slayer that was earth based would be able to have wings. There was a slight bit of shock before he had asked about her heritage, and he really didn't want to pry, but he didn't want to harm her either.

"My lightning isn't normal as I am sure you have witnessed by now. I just really don't feel like dealing with the repercussions of your mother if something were to happen to you." He looked at her calmly as he finished the first lightning charred stick and placed the next into his mouth. He offered her the uncharred one, hoping she would see this as a kind gesture.

Her wings were quite the odd feeling for the child to get used to. Suddenly having an additional few pounds strapped to one’s back? Was a shock to the system, and her wings were not exactly light, most would assume they were illusionary or mockery or such, but the fact was she really did grow them. The little girl's wing’s had bones, muscles, and even some blood vessels, though she still wondered about blood, like why her mother had any when the dead really did not need it and as a result why she herself bleed when half of her parentage was not even truly alive. However it was one of those questions which were never going to receive an answer, so it was not something she pondered often, just on the rare occasion the idea struck her small brain. Quickly as she started wondering the female stopped searching, the concept flowing out of her brain without a trace of it left.

A small breeze thru the forest rustling the few leaves winter left on the tree’s, causing Frey to glance around as if something was watching them, however, the little girl nor her canine companion could spot anything so it must have must been a bad feeling. Speaking of wolves? Her red hood had two cute little wolf ear like pops up on it. His question echoed into her head as her pink gaze moved back towards him. She would prefer to get to the fun part of this, well the part she considered fun now, once she had not liked combat oriented missions without a parent by her side. “I mean I guess it’s demonic blood, my father was a purified demon and my mother is death.” she did not know lots about her blood because she had just discovered her family, there was no way Frey could possibly know about all of these things so swiftly! Yet she did want to understand her own existence. “I mean I didn’t always look like this, so that could be relevant I used to have green hair and eyes.” she made no mention how her hair used to be shorter, though because she did not see it as relevant.

“So you already know my mother?” of course who did not know her mother in this world? Everyone thought about her dear mother whether they were aware of it or not because death was always a sub-thought in the back of your head. “Thanks” she took the stick easily, slipping it into her mouth and chewing slowly, seeming to hold some of it between her back teeth and grind it instead, varying how she consumed it.

The feeling Yazuki had had was indeed correct, leading to a small sigh of disappointment. Nightken was part demon too, often setting him up to have to be more careful, but at least Nightken had mastered lightning. Princess had different magic all together, leading him to need to be more careful around her. He didn't understand why as usually he didn't care about the safety of others when he fought. He chewed a bit more as he started heading in the direction he had approached her from.

"Heard of her? Yes, though I can't say I fear her too terribly. Death isn't something I tend to care about. If it happens, it happens." He turned to her, a bit more seriously than usual, chewing rapidly on his lightning charred stick. "I simply don't want to face a mother's wrath at the loss of her daughter. I fear that moreso. I rather not have that on my conscious to be honest. Especially when said daughter is one I get along with. Just... if I say stay back, please do so. The gods themselves back me, and though death backs you, I don't want to find out that its caress isn't enough. I rather keep you safe."

Turning around he headed deeper into the area. He meant what he said. He could care less about who was who, he just cared about making sure she was returned alive and well. Their guilds had had enough strife recently, and another battle was not something he had a want for. She mattered to him, and he knew not why. Maybe it was due to the fact she was the first face that had seen him in battle since the accident. Maybe it was something deeper, but they had some similarities that made him feel... at home.

A sound caught his ear as he took a few steps past where he had stood waiting. He stopped to listen more closely, glancing back at the wolf and the little princess. "You ready? Smells and sounds like company."

Frey was really unsure of what she qualified as, considering everything she was an enigma of sorts in terms of what things could and could not effect her and even she didn’t know everything. Anyway’s she watched as he spoke and barely considered his words outside of direct things. “Not fearing my mother is the biggest mistake anyone can make.” of course Frey did not fear the woman but that was different, they were flesh and blood, it was a vast difference. Plus the fact the child did not even know why people feared her mother who in her eyes was a nurturing and loving mother. “Aw I get along with you too.” mostly because he respected that she was a highly respectable princess and treated her accordingly.

Then he shouted out about an enemy and she glanced around “I’m ready.” Silver snarled as he took a fighting stance. “Yerf, Yerf” the wolves voice echoed through the forest as his head stared up at the sky, fangs bore towards it, a small leap attempting to warn the predators above them away. However, clearly the half rotting avians were not going to be deterred by the wolf as they were already dead. Watching the undead swarm around them started to irk the little girl and she narrowed her eyes, lifting one hand, glancing over at her partner. “Don’t do anything they are mine.” the child spoke up, her wing’s opening for a second to draw the attention of those pondering attacking the trio. Instantly the birds dive bombed towards them, both flocks of fifteen very close to each other, trying to take them out in one blow. “Not today.” suddenly the area around the three was filled with leaf-like objects which cut into the avian’s destroying them, causing the corpses to fall to the ground.

Yazuki watched as Princess took care of the birds, a wry smile on his face. He hadn't gotten to see her in too much of action due to the last job, Silver had tossed the man back at him and it was over before it began. He watched as she took care of the birds with ease, clapping as she finished. Half of it was mock, but part of it was actually due to him being impressed by her spell. Undead were a simple matter for him, but to see a dragon slayer use leaves was an interesting twist.

"Leaves of death, this is new for sure for me. I am actually sort of impressed. Wings, claws, and now a leaf storm. Well, at least i know you can handle your own, but how about I let you take the big one when we find it and I will take the smaller ones until then? I want to see what royalty can do, if you don't mind."

He looked over at her with a smile on her face, then revisited what she had said about her mom. He had never needed to fear anything. Even with his rough patches, he had still made it through and was still here. When he was told he was backed by the gods, at first it wasn't accepted very well by him, but it let him fight a little bit more freely. Now, after having met Raijin, Yazuki felt blessed. While Princess's mother was death incarnate, this actually didn't bother him. When his time came, it came. At the moment, he had no reason to believe that he hadn't lived life to the fullest. He kept these thoughts to himself, not wanting to insult her.

"Seriously, I can handle nearly anything. I would like to see you at work, Princess of Death. I mean no offense, Princess." He smiled lightly at her, he knew he was being a bit rash, but he wanted to know she was up to working with him for later times.

She was really beginning to like interacting with this adult because most of what he did seemed to feed into her ego and amplify it. Seeing a smile on his face in response to her spell and the slow clapping most would call impressed, made her happy because she adored when her power was recognized. Especially now that she knew her heritage? Frey was confident that she held incredible strength, no one expect for her two siblings and mother should ever stand in her way or question her, not even her adoptive father. Seeing the slight impress from the older man brought a small smirk to her lips as she held one hand in a fist before her mouth and the other gripped the bottom of her wooly dress. Then his request came and she grinned, drake like teeth showing inside of her mouth, proof of her dragon slayer and demonic stature both, half those fangs from her magic the other half from her father who had died shortly before she set out into the land of magic. These days she only wishes she knew the green haired ‘priest’ of the village was her father back when he was alive, she would have done things differently.

“My magic utilizes anything that is part of the earth itself,” she explained it briefly, realizing she had never seen Mashyuu use other things besides ground in spite of being an earth slayer like her. Maybe it was something special she could do because her dragon was made out of all these things instead of just boring old rocks? “I will happily take the big one.” she would show off her best skill when they got to that, he had yet to see that she was a child who could handle a blade with some level of skill and she had yet to test out her mother’s new lesson on a moving target. “You’ll be beyond impressed.” it sounded extremely confident as the grin refused to leave her face and she started walking once more, flexing one finger to signal to Silver they could start moving once more the wolf eagerly following her deeper into the woods with his tail wagging.

The look on Princess's face and her confidence slightly amused Yazuki, preventing him from dropping the smile on his face and only making it broader. She seemed to have a confidence about her which intrigued him, but he knew what overconfidence caused. The scar on his face was one of those reminders of what happens when you bite off more than you can chew, though he still had next to no clue how it happened. The trees bristled once again with the cawing of more undead avians as he slowly started walking towards the the swarm. They appeared to show up in groups of thirty it seemed, and if they attacked similarly to the ones Princess had taken out, they would dive bomb all at once. "Ok, you get the big bad bear that is supposedly here all to yourself, but remember we also need to look for clues as to what's doing this after this. That is what the job entails."

He looked up at the the birds, circling him as he moved. Lightning started to ripple along his arms as he prepared for the oncoming onslaught from the birds. They were undead, one of the things his magic was made for. He knew they would be nothing but dust after he was through. A streak of something fast started charging towards him as the birds descended, charging at him with ferocity. They all seemed to arrive at the same time, being greeted by him lifting his arms and slashing them forward, screaming, "Thunder Demon's Explosive WINGS!" As the attack hit, all but the undead, decrepit deer, who had charged him and attempted to bite him. His lightning reflexes kicked into overdrive as he spun collecting Lightning in his mouth, disintegrating the remainder of the stick he had been chewing. He cloaked his fist in lightning hitting the deer on the back of the head and knocking it off kilter. He let loose the lightning he had gathered, screaming, "Thunder Demon's Rage!"

The birds and the deer were nothing but ash as it fell to the ground. Yazuki looked up at Princess with a broad grin on his face that matched her own from earlier, maybe even a little more cockiness coming through. "Child's Play. This job should be easy enough for us. Shall we make a race out of it? I know a good place to eat, judging you eat food too and not just earthly items. It would be more interesting than these things. We could rush this up and we could get something appetizing. On me of course."

The princess could sometimes be considered overconfident especially considering she had no control over any of the abilities that came from her bloodline yet. Most of the thing’s Frey did were actions that nobody normal would take, she had fewer cares than your average child due to how hard it was to cause true harm to a body made of only earth and black blood. One day everything was bound to catch up to her, it had to catch up to everyone, but it was certain that the day she fell to someone would not be today, they really could not afford it on this mission anyways, it would only get in there way. Plus? She was a child right now and everyone rushed behind her to protect her from such a fate, she was not grown enough yet to know the consequences some things could have and what happened when you got too cocky. If fate was not always going to get its way in the end? She could stay that way, innocent, forever. Yet one day she was going to wake up to the real world, maybe not all at the same time but it was inevitable that eventually the nature and ideals she carried now would morph due to negative experiences, it was the curse of consciously existing.

“So this is big and bad?” the little girl looked at the rotting bear and found the sight did not off put her at all, of course, she lived around the undead due to the graveyard near her guild’s hall. If there was one thing she knew about those who had been resurrected? Had very particular weaknesses and drawbacks, especially if they were not fully revived like this bear clearly was still partly dead. “Silver lets’s play, remain evasive.” the female made the comment, opening her wings all the way, and bending down, placing her hand against the ground while her wolf charged the bear getting his sharp claws into its ankle and yanking to cause it to stumble. “Earth Dragon’s Sword.” the child pulled a sword out of the ground and at first glance it seemed this was any normal sword, but if one glanced closure they would realize it was made of obsidian one of the best cutting materials ever. The bear started to lung it’s jaw’s down towards silver but instead of biting into the wolf it got a roundhouse kick to the side of its jaw from the little girl. The way she gripped the sword? Showed she clearly knew what she was doing, her positioning allowing her to follow her kick with a quick slash then another kick as silver continued his ankle biting routine. Clearly, this was not as effect as unleashing every spell she had, but the little girl wanted to weaken the enemy before they started casting spells. “Silver it’s mine this time.” she spit a rock to get the bears attention and suddenly the wolf backed off, something their partner clearly would have never seen coming from such a protective beast. Honestly, this beast was not even a challenge though, it was large and undead so logically extremely slow for an enemy who had not yet been weakened, the small girl was able to dance around it with ease as her wolf decided to get himself one more hit in, with his hardened claws. Frey rolled her eyes and gripped her sword tighter, suddenly tossing it up and cupping her hands over her mouth. “Earth Dragon Roar!” she shouted it and the attack unleashed, pushing the small girl back slightly. Once the roar finished she caught her blade rushed the beast once more and slashed at it until the creature fell entirely motionless for good.

“So long as it’s your treat.” the dragon slayer smirked, gripping her blade down to the side with both hands once more as silver came back beside her and barked.

'Monster Dice' :

Yazuki admired Princess from afar. She had spunk and saw quite a bit of himself as she raged against her enemy, giving him a sense of appreciation that he hadn't felt in a long time. Zeno was often as destructive as he could be, but he often tried to protect Zeno from the bad things of life. Knowing what he knew about Princess though was something different. She was not the same as Zeno to Yazuki, and she was of a different breed, leading him to let her go and try and prove herself. Her survival mattered to him, but not in the same sense. He now had the ability to simply shock her back if she was harmed too badly, so he was going to let her ego get the better of her. This is now what was happening however, leading him to have a newfound respect for her. He took one of his charred sticks out of his case again, placing it in his mouth and beginning to chew. They had a lot in common, and it was entertaining to watch someone so little have the same burning fury in them. She didn't leave quarter on her enemy, never leaving an opening for rest, even though the bear was undead and truly was unaffected. The way she commanded the wolf to back off and it listened also showed him that they had a mutual understanding, and that she could handle this on her own. He watched for a good long while, until yet another 30 or so avian undead birds appeared, the circled overhead of Princess. Yazuki casually strolled to her, not quite reaching her and letting her have her room as she continued annihilating the bear. "Watch your head," he stated as lightning started to form at his mouth.

As the birds began to dive, he carefully aimed and let loose the lightning, once again disintegrating them into dust with a scream, "Thunder Demon's Rage!" He watched in amusement as dust fell down on the now dead again bear, Silver and Princess. They were covered in ashes, making him laugh for a little bit before something caught his attention and he snapped around. Three more undead deer were charging them. He was really getting sick of all these damned deer and birds, as they were only minor hindrances and not enough to have fun with. He charged right back at the undead deer, stopping just before them with his arms in the air rippling with lightning, then brought them down before him as he bellowed, "Thunder Demon's Explosive Wings!" A torrential exposion of lightning filled the area around Yazuki once again, but the blast itself wasn't enough. These things were a bit tougher than he had initially thought. They were barely hanging on but able to get to him in time to each grab a bite at him. He felt the burn in his veins, knowing it not to be good, but his dharma would kick in soon enough, helping with it, so he ignored the temporary pain.
