Liberation of Slaves [Job] Empty Liberation of Slaves [Job]

Post by Noheme 11th July 2016, 1:40 am

    Job description:
    Job Title: Liberation of Slaves
    Rank: C-rank
Player Requirements: 1 C-Rank mage or 2 D-Rank mages minimum. Must kill/capture/arrest the 2 heads of the Slaver operation. Minimum 30 posts with 250 word minimum requirement. Must also roll 5 monster dice minimum to summon the boss.

This job can only be done once

    Job Location: Hargeon Town
Job Description: Lately there have been slaver's running an operation to kidnap women to be sold to other countries for a tidy profit. This operation must be stopped and the Rune Knights are offering a tidy sum of jewels to anybody that will stop the latest shipment of slaves to leave Fiore. Not only must not a single slave be harmed, but the leaders must be made never to be allowed to escape or this will happen again. The Bounty is for them Dead or Alive, but the Council prefers them alive and will double the bounty if done so.

We also know the individuals are extremely tough and stealth may be required...

    Enemies:
Weak:Slaver Initiates x5- These are the fresh new recruits of the slaver operation and each deal individually D-rank worth of damage with their non-magical cutlasses. The will attempt to surround and use their numbers to overwhelm the enemy. The Slavers will run or surrender at displays of B-rank spells knowing they are out of their leagues.

    Normal:
Slavers x2- These are experienced sword and gun users with a weapon in each hand. The sword and gun deals C-rank damage each. They will fire the gun 3 times a post and ignore D-rank armors and barriers of whoever they are shooting. They will fire at whoever is dealing the most damage and the bullets do travel at 900 MPH making them hard to dodge. They require 1 C-rank of damage to beat, making them a bit of glass cannons.

    Strong:
Veteran Slaver- They have been doing their job for so long that thThey have earned the jewels to buy themselves Lacrima to use water magic. They also use cutlasses imbued with the same magic, but this magic is not eatable by Water Dragon Slayers due to having salt mixed in all their spells and Abilities, thus making them instead LOSE the magic they were supposed to gain. The water magic itself deals C rank damages and is very malleable to users will. The Blade however deals C-rank damage and continuous D-rank bleeding per post. Requires 3-Crank of damage to beat them.

    Boss:
Captain Scarlet and First Mate Carver- Captain of the slaver ship the 2 are notorious individuals that have no value of human life. They fight mercilessly and will fight to the death since they know that a hangman's noose awaits them if captured.

First mate carver is a speed based mage with a pair of cutlasses that look worn after many use and stained with blood of those that opposed him. He will immediately charge at the strongest looking mage at 100 miles per hour and lock the person in melee combat with his blades. Using his magic it allows him to strike multiple times for B-rank damage due to speed and momentum of his blades. It is very tricky to hit him, but he is ultimate Glass cannon as well due to his speed and a Solid C-rank blow at his high speeds will cause major damage.

Captain Scarlet uses a pair of guns that deal C-rank damage each and is fired 6 times per post and ignores C-rank Barriers and armor. Her shots also explode on contact causing people hit to be blown away from her and causing AoE damage. Living the life at sea made her tough and requires 4 C-ranks to beat her. When knocked down to 3 C-ranks of damage she will attempt to shoot herself in head rather than humiliation of the hangmans noose.

    Reward:
    15k jewels.
If both bosses are captured alive then the jewel increases by 30k.

Liberation of Slaves [Job] Empty Re: Liberation of Slaves [Job]

Post by Noheme 11th July 2016, 2:04 am

With a sigh, Leila leaned against a brick wall of one of the buildings in Hargeon town's port. She was waiting for a certain someone and looked around for suspicious individuals at the same time. Today, she was pursuing a special contract that was of great importance. And not only because of the unusually high reward. She was to stop a slave trade here in the town along with her partner. A female slave market to be precise. Not only was such thing pretty disgusting to her, it also meant denial of freedom. And she knew not how to imagine such situation. Freedom was everything for her, the ability to travel the land and explore, learn new things and discover anything she wanted. To be deprived of something like that, she had no idea how terrible it must be. With a sigh, she pulled her hoodie even lower, hiding as much of her face as she possibly could. But she wasn't worried, her partner already knew her attire and should spot her miles away regardless. That said, he was taking his time. Or perhaps Leila was just here too soon, which was probably the reality of things. Client already informed her earlier that there would be a ship filled with slaves and slavers arriving soon. Surely, if they were to inconspicuously follow them, they would discover their hideout and be able to stop anything and everything that is going on inside. At least that was the plan for now, it was entirely possible that Torian would soon arrive with much better idea and Leila's standing here right now was completely and utterly useless. Shaking her head at the stupid thought, she looked around some more.

The city was still filled with life, people and merchants everywhere. Nothing seemed out of the ordinary at all. People probably had no idea that there even was a group of bandits like this and it was duty of mages to protect them from the shadows. Or in the shine of sun sometimes. But it sure was bold, to have such an operation in a big and popular town like this, yet ordinary people never noticed. It probably meant that their opponents were skilled in this trade, not the type of people you want to anger. But Leila was finally a little more confident in her skills and ready to take out the trash, whatever or whoever would be in her way. For the sake of increasing her own strength even further, releasing the innocent slaves and for the hefty reward that was waiting at the end of this all. Of course, Torian would probably say that he was doing it for the excitement of journey again, and for the poor women that were kidnapped and enslaved if he felt righteous. But she didn't know him that well, there was no way for her to tell what he would say before he actually arrived. And so she just kinda waited there, wondering what would arrive first. Him or the ship filled with slavers? Only time will tell her.

Liberation of Slaves [Job] Empty 921 WORDS

Post by Terith 12th July 2016, 5:59 am

When a morning came where he didn't have to brush the tangles out of his excessively long hair, he'd almost sincerely consider crying for the gratitude of whatever undid the curse, as he liked to call it. The young man would get up from bed with his sword held tightly in an iron grip, the evidence of a smile still lingering on his jaw as he approached the day with a palette full on satisfaction and the urge to bear a sense of responsibility, and the roads he'd travel were flowing rivers, far beyond him.

His free hand dug into his breast pocket slightly, gathering a wrinkled piece of paper between his fingers. Last night, he found himself going over the folded valleys of the yellowing parchment repeatedly, tirelessly working himself into the night as his fingers shook from the training he urged unto himself. It wasn't a habit until very recently, and his idle days have grown into something more rigorous and strict, bidding his own laws and crafting straw dummies by hand. Terith was compelled to fight shadows in the dark not because of a ultimate goal that he instigated into his life. He simply obliged to the yearnings in the pits of his soul that pushed him, almost literally in that sense of the word, an uncontrollable driving force that spoke to him in whispers as he dreams.

Potential, he'd repeat in his mind, a potency for irrevocable potential. Had he not awoke the minute after he found an unfamiliar voice in his head, he probably would have missed every little detail it took to forge him into a fighting stance the hours after. As he drew closer to his destination that was written poorly on the paper, he'd hesitate to think of the possibility that it was no more than insanity that spoke to him, but he believed in the minority of the equation that answered him with the prospect of a power sitting idle within his depths, a grand mystery that he immediately left to bite the dust as soon as he realized that his partner may not find his appearance to match what her memory serves her, later that day. That would prompt an awkward outcome that Terith wouldn't mind avoiding.

His fingers were scarred and tired and yet he'd still pull on the hilt of his sword, edging it forward into his belt to have it visible. He'd then shuffle through his other pockets to obtain a single puff of whiteness, breathing slowly into his rough hands. Terith walked closer to a food establishment, making sure the tabby cat would catch a whiff as he swiftly passed by a restaurant that served seafood as their specialty. He'd watch in amusement as the ball popped open into his familiar's searching face, whiskers twitching in response to the aroma, his smile accommodating a wide stretch as Nikuko leered over the parameter in dismay.

"It's too early for games, master..." it whined, a frown imminent in its manner of speaking. Terith gently threaded his fingers through its fur, patting its head for reassurance before allowing it to rest on his head, an action that ensured a mewl of contentment from the bakaneko as it shrunk to fit itself snugly against the curve of its master's skull.

It wasn't unnatural for him to have the creature on his head, as balance would not pose a problem solely for the reason that Nikuko felt weightless as it rustled with his mop of hair. It'd also serve a significant purpose of answering the questions Leila might propose as soon as he arrived, hoping that she'd have kept a memory of a talking fat cat.

He liked to consider himself a man of focus, and he still continued to do so as he waddled over to a familiar form over by a wall, the port busy with the mundane ebbing back into the background as he neared her with caution. For starters, he wasn't so sure how she'd make of him, sporting an entirely different face. It was ironic to him, knuckles pale as he clutched his sword, knowing for sure that his original skin would be labeled as a foreign one.

"Good morning, Leila." Terith would say, his voice a wavy baritone as he hesitated for a milisecond. "I'm sorry for the tardiness. My morning got a little...crazy, in a way."

He prepared himself an explanation the moment he'd see wavering in those eyes, and he opted to mule about with different versions of it to assure him of his identity. Though it honestly wouldn't surprise him if she wouldn't, having come to terms that she too was a mystery, and that his life would have be a sequence riddles if it ever came to written down.

"The slave trade, aye?" he mumbled, mostly to himself, his eyes narrowing with the lowering of his voice as he observed the ships whose silhouettes were closing in from the distant sea. He chose not to voice his opinion, finding no words to properly attest to the atrocity that it was, a dilemma that had him digging his teeth into his lower lip. Though he'd think of home and the abolishing of the slavery mentality, and how the men have fought for their freedom until the bitter end, and the thought motivated him among all the other hesitations.

"So, do you have a plan on how to deal with these bastards?" he asked, a listless calm showering over the meaning of his words.

Liberation of Slaves [Job] Empty Re: Liberation of Slaves [Job]

Post by Noheme 12th July 2016, 6:41 am

Yawning a little, she was almost ready to fall asleep while leaning against the cold wall. But the bells from distant ships soon woke her, along with a voice that traveled from her left side. Turning towards it, it took her a moment to realize who was standing in front of her, even with the familiar furball resting on top of his head. He spoke her name, that was enough to swiftly grab her attention and focus as her eyes scanned the man from bottom to top. "Torian... right?" She asked him to confirm if her assumption was indeed correct. There was always a chance that he would send someone else, the cat as their envoy and symbol by which she would realize they are an ally. But the way he spoke, surely there was no mistaking in his identity. "You do look different. Full of surprises, you are truly." She spoke as she narrowed her body, breaking her lean on the wall and standing on her own two feet, staring into the distant sea laying in front of them. From this place, it certainly looked beautiful. The crystal clear water sparkled under the sunlight's reach, ships sailing on top of the liquid peacefully, almost as if they were carried by invisible hands. But it would all soon disappear, as one of the ships released it's anchor, getting ready to release it's crew and cargo onto the stone which made this place's ground. "Aye." She responded to him, even if he was talking to no one but himself and started suddenly walking closer to the place where ships were resting.

Her eyes were quickly running from one ship to another, until they stopped on the one that just arrived. To Torian's question if she had any plan, she simply extended her hand towards him with her fist clenched, trying to indicate a silent resolve. Big boxes were carried out of the ships by people that looked slightly different from your ordinary sailors or pirates. And as one of the guards approached this scene, to those with keen vision, it was clear that one of the bandits handed the guard a pouch, probably filled to brim with jewels. That was how they avoided being inspected, as revealing the content of those giant boxes would be crushing for them. "See it all? We need to follow them, should lead us right to their front door. From there... I would assume that stealthy infiltration would be the best course of action. Though... if you have a better sounding idea, I'll hear it gladly." She finally decided to answer him, whispering almost as the words left her mouth. They were far, yet she did not want to risk them finding out that these two mages were about to ruin their day. But they had a little bit of time before the cargo would be completely out of the ship, so Leila reached her hand towards Torian's head for now. Petting the talking cat gently, she smiled from behind the hoodie. "How are we doing today?" She like that little furry devil, just how she liked most of the friendly animals. But this one was slightly different, perhaps because he was capable of speech. It made it that much more fun conversing with him.

Liberation of Slaves [Job] Empty Re: Liberation of Slaves [Job]

Post by Terith 13th July 2016, 4:03 am

The ways of slave traders were rough yet efficient for the likes of those men, they'd have guns pocketed into their back pockets, clanging noisily against tiny bags full of shiny things -tickets to an illegal leeway for them to carry out the dirty business. His eyes narrowed as the guard's fingers clutched tightly at the sum of pay, no trace of hesitance in his smile as he flicked his hand one way to have the obscure pirates safely escort their large packages without so much as a word.

Terith found the trades to be a mysteriously wonderful thing, where the system is carefully understood and accepted among the rest. But those with the most vile of intentions aren't exempted from even the grandest of things, and while the trades delivered good deals, there were also humans who'd label themselves the weeds of the system, riding on the ideal jewel-gathering process known as an economy. The swordsman edged his head one way, avoiding the passing look he garnered from a heftily bearded man as he lugged around with his box. The pirate would stare at his uninteresting form with one bulging eye before assuming his former walking pace, briskly hurling whatever the contents of the crate was into a corner of the road.

"Let's go with that." he simply said, huffing a soundless sigh before eyeing the roads intensely. "We shouldn't do anything rash, as I assume they have more eyes than they have legs. Who knows who've sided with them in this city?"

His voice was low yet even, his thought processes calculative and careful regardless of the soft purring sensations hitting his skull. His bakaneko would only wriggle a little under Leila's hand, its rabbit tale furrowing back and forth as it matched the happy tempo of its mewls. "A little sleepy....nya~" it uttered, sliding off its master's hair a little before climbing up again with a slow struggle, letting out a puff of accomplishment as it sat itself completely atop the blonde's crown, mimicking a round white hat with cat ears as it gathered its legs underneath its stuffed body. "It's nice to see you again, miss...~" it would continue to murmur, whiskers twitching as it enjoyed the feeling of being high off the ground.

Terith furrowed his brows as his plans to devise are interrupted by the sight of a pompous-looking woman waddling herself off the ship, excusing her form off her deck with an aura of arrogance to match her impressive midnight-black attire. Her steps jingled with the sound of her trinkets clashing against themselves as they were stringed up her chest, and with the eye of a practiced swordsman, Terith caught the uncanny shine of a gun from underneath her impressively sewn coat.

His sword made an impatient tinkle as he rattled the handle with one hand, fingering the webbing with his eyes focusing on the woman's back as she commanded her underlings with the voice of cannons lingering among her words. As they dispersed, she set herself elsewhere, and with a need for haste, he separated himself from his previous observing spot with a cautious step forward.

"That woman must be their captain," he started, watching her figure grow smaller the more road she covered, "And if my guess is correct, then maybe it's best to follow her. How about it?"

It was ironic if that were truly the case, for a woman to run a slave trade of stolen maidens was the most unjustly thing he'd seen that day. And by whatever means, he hoped in his mind that she was merely a subordinate, though he knew that the gods might would consider his request futile if her status had been written otherwise, etched into the metal of her guns.

Post by Noheme 13th July 2016, 5:02 am

With how careful those pirates were with their crates, it was rather obvious that a new batch of bound and silenced slaves was inside of the said boxes. Right now, they had the perfect chance to attack and reveal their operation, quickly gaining advantage in the form of guards all around the city. However, if they were to truly do something like that, many slavers would surely manage to escape, along with the one who ruled over this whole system. In fact, it didn't take too long before an important figure appeared in their sight. Torian was clearly watching her, and so did Leila. Though, she did not want to look suspicious. And as such, when the cat spoke, she extended her other hand and grabbed the creature firmly, removing it from the boy's head. Having the bakaneko in her arms, stroking it, she made herself look rather innocent, even with that heavy leather coat she was hiding under. "Indeed, it is good to see you too. But Tori might need all the balance he can get, so try to rest in my embrace for now." She responded to the creature, carefully running her fingers through it's furt and giving it small massage, completely free of charge. And it seemed that her partner thought the same thing as her. Someone with attire that alluring must have been in a good position, if now outright the captain. "She was equipped. And with a fearless look about her as well. If she really is the captain of operation like this, she must be strong enough to invoke respect in her underlings. Otherwise, they would have overthrown her long time ago and sold her as well, for tidy sum I am sure." She gave him her thoughts before turning the same way as she left.

Slowly starting to walk in the same direction with Torian's cat hopefully still in her arms, she hoped he would follow as well. Though, it was his suggestion to follow her in the first place, so it was probably safe to assume he was right behind her without having to turn around and confirm. "Worst case scenario, I pretend to be an ordinary civilian and let them capture me. With that, I could get you info from inside of their hideout." She said with a smile, as if it was no big deal. In fact, she was not afraid one bit of that happening. Surely, the was a chance that they had restraints made out of magic-sealing stone, yet she was still confident that she would find a way to escape and ruin these pirate's day in the meantime. Not to mention that she had a trusty swordsman on her side, who seemed ready to wreak chaos at any moment. Surely, they will be able to put an end to this and capture the head of this slaving group alive for that extra reward. Which was one thing she had to confirm with him. "As bad as they are, the guards would prefer them still alive, so they can be judged fairly. Not sure if you were aware of that so... try to keep the killing to minimum?" She asked him nicely, hoping that he would cooperate without any issues. Sure, swords were meant to pierce skin and bleed opponents, but surely he was skilled enough to actually finish his targets off without having to kill them all, right? That was what she hoped for, anyway. For a concrete answer, she had to wait a little.

Liberation of Slaves [Job] Empty 641 WORDS

Post by Terith 14th July 2016, 6:35 am

A smooth swooping motion of fabric elicited from his hood as the yokai familiar left the comfort of his head, its tiny paws pulling lightly at the material. A flash of bright blonde caught his attention as his reflections weaved through a clear shop glass window, and his breath would've stopped had he not realized that it was his eyes that was staring back into his soul. Terith squinted briefly at his image, a breath of wind sweeping underneath his short golden mop. He fleetingly showed a faint sign of bewilderment before moving on with his steps short and hasty. There was no time to commit to a realization of how foreign he looked at that specific moment, considering the main objective that held a greater impact, a man in a mirror was as important as a toothpick on the street.

Yet he'd let the world see, baring his face with a tactical grace that could have mistaken for pride. He merely founded trust in a possibility of underlings wondering closely to the woman whose footsteps they have decided to follow diligently, perhaps taking the appearance of a fruit vendor or an old fisherman, gathering their nets with wary eyes. A man with no shadows hiding his gaze was very unlikely to find suspicious, and a passing gaze would be mistaken for a coincidence with the right amount of tilt and turn by the head. He'd note these potentials with great detail, filing them with his strategies to later better them, if ever. Terith couldn't pride himself on anything apart from his willingness to observe even the most trivial of mannerisms, favoring a better understanding of the adversary ahead rather than a blind charge into fatality.

The crowds narrowed a little as Leila mumbled a proposition with his bakaneko cradled softly in her arms. The idea honestly had him narrow his eyes for an instance of hesitance, but he doubted that feeling otherwise. Offering his job partner a soft shake of the head before assuming a whisper, ever cautious of the men that hurried across the port.

"Though I'd rather not, if you think it'll get us closer to Miss Tailcoat over there, then it might just work." his movements are quick as he slipped by a large burly man carrying a barrel, siding his steps with Leila's. "It's a worst case scenario, as you said, so let's see where our captain waddles off to before we decide what kind of situation this is." he ended, mumbling the last bit.

The words that left his mouth almost seemed to trigger a sharp change in the woman's manner of walking, as her strut came to a halt, her heels digging heavily into the ground, and then she would break into a stride, then over the course of a few seconds, her leisurely pace faltered and turned ragged, the captain's coat flaring behind her as she took her next few steps in a run that implied her apprehension of their actions.

He took to her sudden response with a grain of salt, pushing a leg forward to match her speed before taking notice of the lingering stares of the men that scattered themselves in an uneven circle around them. The citizens have all but disappeared and they were left surrounded by burly fishermen, their baskets presumably holding weapons of all sorts.

Their eyes singed with warnings, urging them to turn back or they'd end up worse than the fish in their nets. He raised a brow as he took a step back, one hand under his sword's guard. Terith would lend a short glance at Leila with his mouth digging a grave expression unto his face, handling his blade with a readied stance. His movements were not taken lightly, and the men had already huddled around them, barring their way from moving forward.

Liberation of Slaves [Job] Empty Re: Liberation of Slaves [Job]

Post by Noheme 14th July 2016, 7:07 am

Torian agreed that her little plan should only be used as a desperate solution, and yet, the idea remained in Leila's head. In fact, the more she was thinking about it, the more she wanted to do it. Her body started wiggling slightly as her cheeks blushed. "Ehehe, but being treated like a slave... aw geez, how mean~ ehehe~" She suddenly started muttering without even properly realizing it, perhaps showing a little masochist inside of her to the outside world. She was so invested in her inappropriate fantasies that she didn't even notice the change in lady's behaviour. The one thing that snapped her back into the reality were those burly men suddenly all around them. "So much for stealth, eh..." She whispered to Torain who was still beside her, looking around at the same time. Indeed, there was quite the number of them. And some actually looked pretty intimidating. But they handled worse in the past, surely this wouldn't be that much of a problem for duo like this. Not to mention that Torian was already getting ready for the fight. Tightening her grip on bakaneko with one hand, she freed the other and pointed it towards the sky. "Hope you can take them all for a moment~" She said to her partner playfully, her arm suddenly changing in color and texture. It took but a moment for it's appearance to change into one that could remind some of a tree branch in shape of a human's hand. And from it, a whip shot out and stuck itself around a near house's balcony's railing few meters above the ground. Saluting to the slavers, the whip started shortening, pulling her up.

With ease, she hopped over the railing and landed on the concrete floor, overlooking the battlefield. With a smile, she started analyzing enemy's numbers, thinking how to dispatch of them efficiently. And thankfully, most of those guys were pretty confused by her actions, not targeting Torian but looking at her instead. It was almost as if they saw something they wanted under that heavy leather coat of hers as she climbed. Which also probably meant that she wouldn't need to hold back while fighting these indecent men. With a snap of her fingers, a small flower broke through the hard ground and grew right next to her. It wasn't green like normal plants would be, it's tem of gray color very reminiscent of her own corrupted skin. And from it, a big blue fruit hanged, emitting a beautiful light. It was probably best to start with a test of how much those guys can take in terms of damage. Grabbing the fruit, she happily threw it into the crowd below her, since they were all still reasonable close to one another. And with a bang as her bomb hit the floor, she only hoped that Torian was not already attacking, lest he would be caught in the blast. Their communication probably still needed some work and tweaking. But for now, it was all fine and dandy. Looking over the railing, she noticed that the single bomb didn't down a single one of them, but it did heavily damage the weaker looking ones. They'll probably go down very easily now.

    Rank: C
    Type: Offensive
    Duration: 2 posts
    Cooldown: 3 posts
Description: Summons a small plant that bears a round fruit, shining with briliant blue light. Once summon, anyone can take fruit and keep it for two posts before it detonates itself. During those posts, holder can trow this bomb and let it explode on impact, dealing damage to anyone who was caught in the blast.
    Strengths:

    • Can deal AoE damage if multiple targets are not further than 5 meters from each other.
    • Any ally can take the fruit instead of Leila.

    Weaknesses:

    • If kept for more than two posts, the fruit will detonate and damage the holder and anyone who was standing close to him at the time.
    • Fruit detonates on impact, this means that the holder needs to be careful and not trip. If the fruit is hit with a range attack, it will detonate as well.
    • Any opponent can take the fruit instead of Leila.

A rigid stance had always complimented the taut silvery line of his sword underneath a pale sunlight shine. His arms were to be raised in a practiced curve and one foot would dig a heel into the pavement carefully as a form of leverage for the next course of action. His pulse would be a steady rhythm as his fingers drummed a soundless tune, bundling over his blade's handle, keeping the weapon closely knit between his vision scattered between the sweaty faces of bearded pirates and the sharp shiny end of his sword, focus edged into making the best of a better moment to strike.

Leila all but disappeared from his sights in a spur of magic somewhere, and yet there was an uneasy tension that bubbled up among them as blades were raised in response, each one less than likely to fold the first attack into fray. Then a bright blue color tilted its way into the corner of his eye, and with a faint sense of urgency riding into his gut, his foot took a step back before he vanished with the subtle hint of blue particles dancing vividly across the space he left empty.

It was an action that had not gone unnoticed, though he assumed that it was a passing thought for all them as he appeared at a safe distance, watching a bomb-like explosion erupt in a spur of chaos beyond his reformed figure. He'd lower his blade momentarily as he took in the level of damage with a swordsman's concentration. The bomb was most likely Leila's doing, and he wondered for a second if the luminous blue thing was related somehow. His shoes clattered as he readied his footing for another half-step, and before the smoke dispersed completely, his imprints gave him a knowing nod, two figures seated nicely on their translucent thrones.

A flash of white and blue and orange entered the ploy in an attempt to up the maelstrom, a silver undertone lining the attack as the swordsman dashed towards his targets instantaneously, streaks of energy following as his after images. He had taken the fact that they were visibly still recovering  from the blast as an opportunity, sinking the dull part of his blade against their soft necks and their stiff backs. Grunts of pain followed the backlash of swords as they attempt to lay their blades on him. Few had landed stray inklings of pain to slither up his torso and scar a bit of his leg, though they had not entirely made an impact considering his contract with the spirit Toshi, who watched his movements with a careful brazen stare.

Iron bullets flooded his form in a frustrated chain, the two slavers causing him to take his steps to a drastic retreat, dodging at first before resorting to his half-steps. Perhaps a mouth full of metal would become the least of his problems if he ushered a certain spirit in, though the thought honestly had him shiver with hesitation.

A stray bullet grazes his cheek, the blood sliding down his cheek. "Am I really going to resort to her now?" he groaned, leaping across the pavement.

Souji no Nayami no Tane: Okita Souji will eventually grant Terith the ability to access the Kendo moveset, allowing his attacks to focus more on power with offensive, two-handed attacks (that deal an extra D-rank damage, max total of 1.5x D-rank damage) and thereafter giving him an additional 20% to his speed stat. In addition, Okita Souji promises to be his seeing eyes for the rest of the duration of the battle so long as Tane is active.
Hijikata-kun no Zaiaku-kan: By calling out to the Vice Commander, Terith is ensured a significant boost to his defense by 50% and a temporary enhancement to his endurance, increasing his maximum HP by 20%. In addition, because Hijikata is surprisingly attached to his fellow shinsengumi, his domain is free to accommodate one more imprint of the same faction as he once was, easily enabling Terith to stack one more imprint to ask inspiration from provided that it's one of Hijikata's comrades. (This has been stacked with Tane, which overrides the original defense penalties).
Danzo no Tejun: The Tejun is a unique form of dodging ability that allows Terith to teleport himself to a different direction to sometimes avoid an incoming attack, his maximum distance being 10 meters away (signature spell).
The Threshold of Masters: This ability notably polishes his overall performance in battle. At best, he regularly uses this ability to be able to deal consecutive slashes with his sword in a given second without his hand going numb, or asking the spirits to control his finesse so he's movements are smoother and more refined. Any vacant imprint can take this job in managing the threshold, and Terith can only assign one specific job (e.g. dodging, maximizing the slashes he does) to the vacant imprint. This is to avoid Terith relying on his imprints too much and neglecting his training which is still relevant at his current stage of power.
Lesser Attunement (now Greater Attunement): Terith's Lesser Attunement bestows him a few minor enhancements. Terith's origin behaves in a way that implies he once favored precision and accuracy over rough, blunt attacks. Therefor, Terith's base accuracy increases by 50% and is further complimented with a relative increase in his base speed to 30%. And because Terith has demonstrated his willingness to accept the etherblade as a part of him, it can now deal an extra base damage that will remain with him even if he applies inspiration. As of current, his extra base damage (apart from his original damage) is one rank lower than his rank.
Hirazuki: Upon appealing to the spirit Toshi, Terith will temporarily be able to use this to attack all enemies within a 10 meter radius in one extensive thrust by dashing across the area instantaneously, nearly rivaling the speed of a lightning bolt. To help him execute this properly, his speed and accuracy are increased 50%. His damage is slightly upped by a bonus damage equivalent to one-half of his rank's damage.

Watching her handiwork from above, she smiled as all of the slavers were caught in the explosion to some extend. Unfortunately, it was seemingly not enough to actually off any single one of them. But some damage was most definitely done and that was at least something. Especially since Torian wasn't wasting any time and decided to finish those who got seriously wounded. Leaning against the railing of the balcony, she watched every single move of his, admiring his fighting style. His moves were cutting through the air, clearly striking at least some semblance of fear into the hears of the weaker ones. And she was glad that he took her words about no killing them to his heart. If nothing else, he was at least listening to her words. But the group consisted of more than just few weaklings and even he started having trouble when guns and fast swords got involved. As he retreated further away from them, she leaped over the railing and landed right in the middle of the remaining enemies, her form crouched and hand touching the hand. And in a moment's notice, the stone flooring beneath them started rising as her roots tore through it, promptly coiling around their limbs and crushing them with immense strength. "Don't you dare forget about me!" She shouted, winking towards her partner. Without any delay, her hands quickly transformed into wooden claws as she started dancing around, swiping at the momentarily immobilized enemies in a dance of frenzy. That was sure to bring the rest of the weak ones down and the only ones who remained were the stronger ones, still having some life in them as they tried to free their bodies from her grip.

Though it was evident that Leila funded the obliteration of the men who branded their bullets at him, his reaction was a little delayed at best, as he primarily had all his focus concentrating on a power to ignore the advances that the freshly summoned imprint ensued, its sickly sweet voice resonating through his head with the intent to pamper him, though it was doing the opposite.

'Teri-chan, you finally used me~' Izumi cooed, her form wavering back and forth through his brainwaves. 'I was getting worried that you were purposely ignoring me~' her glassy purple eyes would flicker a little as she flashed her irrevocably long eyelashes, gracing her lips with a pucker, 'I missed you so much Ter-'

'Get to work, Izumi.' he responded harshly, adopting a defensive stance with his blade edged into a horizontal position that easily allowed him to put the spirit's inspiration to good use. The female imprint would only roll her eyes impishly, keeping the curves in her smile simple and alluring, something that had his eye twitching, honestly, for it only disturbed him to a large extent.

Though whoever made it so that men had a short attention span had some basis to the thought, with Terith immediately putting the two stronger mages at the far back as his object of focus. Their blades would shine with a gentle blue shimmer, the rush of waves circling their arms. The swordsman raised an observant brow as his curiosity perked, wondering quietly if Izumi's deliverance was effective against a continuous stream rather than individually lined attacks such as bullets. He adorned a confident grin at the possibility, the thugs mistaking the smile as a sign of arrogance. It wasn't his intention, but having them hurl their watery cannons without much hesitation was the perfect chance for an experiment, and the spirit Izumi seemed to have sensed his thrill for the opportunity.

'So harsh~' she giggled, flicking her finger forward as Terith initiated a reflective move, to which she responded by expanding her inspiration's energy outward, causing the cannons to gush outward just the same, mimicking a pipe system as they splatter back. Their faces were mixtures of confusion and fear, though he had only seen them briefly as water filled their open mouths. Terith noted the effect with interest, hoping to find a similar chance to find what else he could deflect, no doubt quite fun to execute as he watched the two mages fall on their bums, bodies wet with their own power.

Though he had visibly provoked them into a temporary refrain from their water spells, the two thugs brandishing their cutlasses with expressions of rage as they hurled themselves forward, burning their intents to cut him a new asshole with their manly screeches.

    Spells Used:

Therefor, Terith's base accuracy increases by 50% and is further complimented with a relative increase in his base speed to 30%. As of current, his extra base damage (apart from his original damage) is one rank lower than his rank.
Channel Divinity (Unique Ability): As of current, when in battle, the imprints can only whisper to him six times (three posts max, two for each post) before losing their connection to him for the next few minutes (loses divinity for four posts) due to his lack of training.  The channel can be as long as the imprint wants it to, however, once the spirit stops talking, the channel is cut off (counting as one whisper and so on).
Kanesada No Kamo Shiremasen: When successfully done, Terith's veins will pulse with an energy (probably his ethernano going high) that'd fuel his attacks to become faster than what his rank normally permits, along with the ability to cancel out any strength penalties he's gained via other imprints or from enemy targets. As a complimentary ability that stems from Izumi's affection, Terith will also be able to reflect/block incoming attacks with his sword via two different options: one being a blocking stance with his sword laid out horizontally before him, and the other being a quick succession of blocking motions that reflects the attacks back to the original caster (similar to Genji's Deflect ability from Overwatch). Both options are free for Terith to initiate whenever he see fit during the duration of Shiremasen. This options for defence more or less implies Izumi's fondness for her vessel, unlike her master.

Liberation of Slaves [Job] Empty Re: Liberation of Slaves [Job]

Post by Noheme 17th July 2016, 2:26 pm

As unfortunate as it was, her roots weren't capable of immobilizing every single remaining enemy. But at least the weak ones dropped to the ground with a loud thud, leaving only the stronger ones at the battlefield. But to her horror, she saw the veteran slavers readying their water magic, clearly aiming at Torian who just stood there, almost looking as if he was distracted by something. Feeling the cold sweat all over her body in a sudden motion, she tried to move towards him, trying to do something, anything to stop those two. But she was not quick enough, and they unleashed their formidable spells at him. And as if a miracle happened, her partner did something quite incredible. With his power, he was capable of manipulating their own magic and sending it back at them, letting them drown in the humiliation. Her body stopped as suddenly as it started moving just a few moments back, her mouth shifting into an unconscious smile. He really was quite amazing. At least Leila didn't know any other swordsman, or mage, that could bend someone else's magic like that. It was an amazing sight, one worth a dropped jaw for sure. But the bastards weren't sitting on their bums for long, as the quickly got up and whilst trying to save their dignity, their started moving towards him, ready to slice his body into tiny ribbons. Now was the moment she could help him, quickly approaching the two from behind, grabbing their skulls with a strong grip of a wooden hands, and just as quickly forcing them down. Crashing their heads into the hard ground, she surely caused them quite the headache, especially since they didn't expect it coming. That was the nature of a sneak attack from behind, after all.

Giving Torian a quick smile of confidence, she jumped back and turned around. Those two were him targets, and she didn't want to rob him of them. For her, there was still a little leftover standing from her previous attacks. The two lonely slavers who were standing on top of the pile of bodies that counted at least 15 other slavers. Though, those looked like they were nothing but simple beginners. These two were stronger, more experienced. And they were also the ones that nearly shot Torian before. Injuring her partner like that, in was something she would not forget easily. They deserved no mercy, or rather, they wanted no mercy. Staring at her, they both pointed their guns and the same time. Quickly taking a defensive stance, Leila summoned her wooden armor on top of her naked skin, quickly activating it's special ability. A shockwave that was strong enough to change the line which the bullets followed, not allowing them to hit for few moments. And in those few moments, she started sprinting towards them, bearing her claws menacingly and with intend to put them down for the rest of the fight. They already took several hits from her spells, albeit indirectly. Which was probably why they were still standing, although their limbs were shaking and it was clear that they were doing their best to actually keep on standing on their own two legs. But they had to be praised, their shooting ability was not bad, as few bullets managed to make it past the shockwave, reaching Leila's armor as she got closer. She was confident in her abilities and what she was not counting with was the fact that those bullets would be strong enough to ignore her armor completely. The fact that she changed trajectory of four of those bullets probably saved her, as the remaining two that they managed to fire hit her directly, causing not a small deal of pain. Once close enough, she grabbed both of their necks, not stopping her momentum from running and slamming them both into the nearest wall mercilessly as a payment for their attack. Thankfully, it was enough to knock them out completely. They did seem like the 'glassy' type from the very beginning. But the fight was not over yet, she looked back to see if Torian needed any help with his enemies.

    Spells used:
    Name: Eden's vessel
Rank: C (Rank increases with the user)
    Type: Offensive / defensive
    Duration: Instant
    Cooldown: Instant
Description: Spell that allows Leila to manipulate Eden's marks on her body moving them to her hands and legs and letting them expand. This recreates her fingers and toes into claws that give Leila the same damage boost as a weapon of her rank would, also allowing her to somewhat defend from sharp weapons.
    Strengths:

    • Works both as offensive and defensive spell.

    Weaknesses:

    • Leila needs to engage in melee combat for this to have any effect.
    • Using her own body as a weapon can damage Leila if she attacks someone who's using shield that reflects damage or generally hurts anyone who gets too close.

Name: Corrupted garden: Armor of nature
    Rank: D
    Type: Defensive, buff
    Duration: 3 posts
    Cooldown: 5 posts
Description: The gray parts of Leila's skin expand and form a wooden armor around her body. Despite it's look, it is rather sturdy and provides Leila with temporary defense of 90 HP and loses 17 HP on every hit taken. Armor automatically falls apart after the duration expires. The armor can also produce a shockwave that can repel incoming projectiles but cannot hurt anyone.
    Strengths:

    • Doesn't require solid ground to be used.

    Weaknesses:

    • Cannot be used on another person and thus only Leila can benefit from this buff.
    • The armor isn't exactly heavy, but it's design slightly limits Leila's movement. Wood isn't exactly flexible.

Liberation of Slaves [Job] Empty 1028 WORDS

Post by Terith 18th July 2016, 11:17 am

It occurred to him that he did very little to show Leila his appreciation for the effort that she'd have gone through to lend him aid for most of the duration of their battle. Though he held a certain conviction that upheld his actions over his words, and he was better settled with repaying the favor in the manner he was better versed at. With his arms chiseled into a defensive curve, he'd manage an reverberating vibrato as he spoke the words of his Eiko and his Defiance, undoing the damages that the men may have afflicted unto his partner.

"Banzai!" he'd bellow first, following it up with a strong delivery of "Rise Up and Refuse!"

Terith would prove his trust in her by assuming a thought that favored her well-being was still in tact, though he wasn't a man of cautiousness for nothing. He passively hoped that the message was well received before catching the two water wizards in a whiplash of blades. His mind registered the metallic tang of clashing swords vividly, sharpening the momentum of his movements like a blacksmith's whetstone. He'd meet their attacks head on, parrying their cutlasses as he took his quick-steps with him, vanishing and appearing consecutively over the course of two seconds. The spirit Izumi would fold her arms underneath her chest as she watched her vessel engage the battle using her skills, each swing of Terith's Etherblade causing the girlish blush across her cheeks to deepen into a bright scarlet, a sight the swordsman chose to deliberately ignore.

Though he'd have to eventually admit that the spirit's grace gave him the greater advantage by instilling a hesitance in the men, fear pooling in their eyes as they resist the urges to use their waters to avoid the possibility of falling due to their own element. Pride was the greater treasure to guard here for the pirates, something that honestly cornered his lips into a grin, amusement in the purest sense of the word. One of the men immediately found the expression offensive, and sought to hurl himself towards Terith without any hesitation. His partner was none the wiser, and would straiten his arm in preparation for a devastating wave, perhaps, their strategy obviously bordering itself on the element of cornering.

Little did they know, he had more than enough time to send himself elsewhere with a fleeting half-step soon after he'd summon a consecutive chain of spirits to sit with Izumi upon the domain, a notion that was not very welcomed by the possessive female spirit. Yasusada would only sigh as he lingered beside the woman's presence, fiddling with a yawn as the minor spirit Bokken does the same. The moment his blade stiffened into a smooth wooden texture, he'd reach a point in time where a cutlass was about to slit his throat, coupled with the dangers of the forces of the sea fueling the water cannons behind him. And it would become the very epitome of a perfect moment when his footing set him behind the man with the heavy blade. His Bokken would immediately gather his strength as he hurled it forward, a force lifting the thug off his feet and sending him head first into his partner's attack, the two skulls creating a graphically bone-y sound as they collide, temple to temple. The jumble of bodies made a splash as they hit the end of the pier, the force of his bokken's nature probably causing the later to lose his footing.

The wooden substitute for his Etherblade soon began to dissipate into a wisp of blue-ish smoke, allowing the sheen of tampered steel to appear as bright as ever. The minor imprint bundled itself on the spirit Yasusada's lap, garnering itself a warm, fond smile from the major imprint. Izumi would only twirl a strand of her ridiculously long black hair around a finger, resisting the urge to make an inappropriate comment as Terith sheathed his weapon in silence.

The area was littered with the unconscious bodies of those unfortunate to have come across them as their prime adversaries for that day. And as he knelt down to observe a nearby man's form, a distasteful idea wormed into his brain and ate away at his conscience. Sure enough, there was nothing left to lose for men of their status, so he'd be able to do away with the thought without a matter of hesitance in mind. After all, they're willingness to participant in the dirtying of the trades was already a loss of dignity to begin with.

With careful hands, Terith relieved the man of most of his possessions that consisted of an assortment of slaver clothes, a well-made leather belt, an eye patch, a bandanna and a pair of fishy smelling boots. He'd gather all the necessary items over his shoulder as he approached his partner. He idly undid his hood as he did so, tugging at the string and releasing it from his shoulders.

"Earlier today, you said something about dressing up as a slave." he began as he neared Leila, "Well then, I guess you'll not be the only one playing the dress up game today, don't you agree?"

The swordsman raised the cloths to his body, the dress shirt a seemingly nice fit. "And while I go change, I guess you could inquire some information about our captain's whereabouts, there's plenty to go about, anyway." he said, gesturing to the fallen figures, some still visibly grumbling despite having their living daylights knocked off their feet.

His figure then began to retreat into an alley overhead, though he had been unsure of the entire scheme solely because he never really wore any fancy assortments such as this. Perhaps he did one time at his school plays, but that was years and years before, and Terith could only remember very little of that world in particular the more he'd try to escape into nostalgia. It was a hollowing feeling, yet he was a good player when it came to the area of repression, so he'd feign his serenity time and time again until the emptiness dwindled into nothing.

Perhaps the thought of adapting to a double negative wasn't so foolish, after all, now that he's used to doing it.

    Spells Used:
    HP: 200 (+50 from Eiko) | MP: 58% (+3% from Defiance)

Eiko: Eiko is a war cry involving a traditional Japanese war cry ("Banzai!"). After Terith yells, all allies within a 100 meter radius, including himself, regain HP equivalent to one C-rank's worth of damage. (once per post, lineage spell)
Defiance: Defiance is a war-cry that aims to fill you with the power of determination. It regenerates 3% of your total MP and when your will is strong, it also bestows a 15% stat boost in all stats, and interestingly, fills you with the idea that there is still hope(cliche, yes, sorry about that). It affects all allies with a 100 meter radius so long as they will themselves to believe in the notion of determination. When successfully accepted, those who've been infused will seem braver, defiant, and their eyes will hold no fear (this means one's eyes will seem a lot more vivid and striking in color).
Danzo no Tejun: The Tejun is a unique form of dodging ability that allows Terith to teleport himself to a different direction to sometimes avoid an incoming attack, his maximum distance being 10 meters away (signature spell).
This options for defence more or less implies Izumi's fondness for her vessel, unlike her master

Liberation of Slaves [Job] Empty Re: Liberation of Slaves [Job]

Post by Noheme 21st July 2016, 6:47 am

Stumbling slightly, Leila felt the full effect of her fresh wounds as she watch her two opponents slide down to the hard ground against the brick wall behind them. But there was also another thing she sensed, a familiar voice from behind her figure shouting inspirationally. And simply hearing those few words spoken by her darling Torian would fill her body with unknown energy, filling every corner of her body and giving her a pleasant feeling. Or perhaps this was nothing unknown to her, rather, it was something she personally would feel very often. Looking over to his scene of battle, she wondered if this was also part of his magic. And if that was indeed correct, she would only admire his skill and tenacity. No be able of filling his friends and companions with energy like this by simply shouting, it was something that you would not experience every day. And not only that, she just now noticed that the pain from her wounds was quickly going away, just like the wounds themselves. She was injured by powerful guns from nearly point-blank range, yet she was healing and rapid pace. It wasn't enough to heal her body completely, but it was enough to ease her. And with all of that, she could watch Torian's fight as well, debating with herself if she should join. But from what she saw, she would most likely only get in her partner's way, ruining his thought-out plans. Thought she went quite pale when she saw one of the pirate's blades almost taking his head off with a powerful swing. And yet, he managed to handle the situation, seemingly with ease and elegence alike. He truly was a strong and experienced swordman, someone who knew how to defeat even the strongest of foes, unlike herself.

Once he managed to put those two slavers down, she would start to slowly approach him, smile covering her face that was for once free of the leather hoodie. However, the rest of her attire was still hidden in that heavy coat, even after battle this long and fierce, she refused to let it go, abandon it behind her. And as she approached her partner, the intention of speaking to him was interrupted by his unusual action, his hands dancing over one of the beaten down pirates. Almost like an experienced looter, he would remove his outfit along with all the accessories and only then he got back up. "Hey, you were almost like a ninja there. Though the imagine of someone screaming banzai and stuff could be both heroic and comic." She finally spoke to him, trying to joke around and lighten the heavy mood. Not that it was too much of a use, Torian clearly wanted to stop this whole thing as soon as possible. And for that, he decided to go with the plan she suggested earlier, or at least with something very similar to that. Clearly feeling her heart beat stronger and louder than before, Leila suddenly blushed and turned to side, her thumbs fiddling together as she awkwardly looked around. "S..so you do want me to play role of slave, h..huh. Of course, I'm perfectly happy to do something like that!" She would answer to his words as he held the cloth in his hands, perhaps not even speaking to him anymore, as he quickly ran off to change. And once he was gone, she would shake her head around, leaving those odd thoughts behind for now. She had another job to do for now.

As the various slavers crawled around, she would spot one that was seemingly trying to escape by moving his body with his hand, dragging it on the dirty alley road. It was truly disgraceful and shameful display, filled with sadness. Only if he wasn't the bad guy, most people would have the mercy to help him get up and take him to the nearest hospital. But their deeds sealed their fate, as slavers like these deserved no such kindness. She would grab the man's collar and drag him to a nearby wall, right next to the two collapsed slavers she finished off not too long ago. Slamming him against it, she would squat down, getting her head to the same level as his. And from beneath her leather coat, her still transformed arm would show, looking like a deadly sharpened and deformed tree branch, she would trace her claws along his chin. "Say, you value your life, yes? So tell me... where can I find your base of operation. Where can I find that pirate woman? Answer me like a good boy and I might just keep you alive." She would talk to him in low, cold sounding voice that was not filled with a single emotion. Her eyes as well, looked empty and distant, as if she transformed into entirely different person in a flash. The pirate was terrified at the sight, and mostly because of her claws. He would quickly pick a piece of black chalk he had in his pocked, drawing a map next to him, as his throat was shaking too much to even allow him speech. Once it was done, showing her the location of their target, she would smile cruelly, standing up on her feet and then kicking him in the face, sending him into the dreamland.

Now there was only the problem of Leila posing as a slave. Sure, it was her herself who suggested it, but now that she was thinking about it, what do slaves wear? Would it be just simple and tattered rags of some sort? Or maybe the slavers just kept them in their normal clothes, not bothering to have them changed into something else. All that was troubling indeed, they would want to blend in after all. But an idea quickly came to mind. They did beat a great number of their men after all, they were all crawling about or laying unconscious. But if Leila was to loose to this bunch, surely they would not kill her. Instead they would drag her back to the base and do whatever they do to slave to her there. With Torian being dressed as one of them, surely they could play this off. He would be in the role of the one that defeated a mighty female mage Leila and captured her! And then he would lead her into the base, right to the boss to boast. And there, she would get released and they would kick their asses together! It was quite the genius plan and Leila was rather proud of making it. It also meant that she would not have to change into anything, after all, she was 'captured' right now and right here. No way she could get changed into different clothes in that span of time. Now she just had to wait for Torian to return in his new outfit, tell him the plan and get praised by him. And she did just that, hopefully having her idea approved by him so that they could head into the heart of enemy's territory and end all of this for good. She was able to taste the delicious reward for the trouble already.

Liberation of Slaves [Job] Empty 655 WORDS

Post by Terith 25th July 2016, 12:09 am

The bundles of cloth that he had retrieved were fairly worn and dusty. It smelled of sea and sweat and an unknown musk that was only palpable because it had been a man's, and he was certain that he was no better smelling if he were to ride a ship with the same circumstance, months on end without a thought on hygiene until the barnacles lining the bottom of the ship would hit sand.

He'd draw himself a befitting personality as he shagged off his blazer and dressing shirt, the drawl of stormy waves swishing the imaginary ship in his head. Though he would never have wanted to lower himself to their mannerisms, he simply couldn't risk the thought of being caught just inches away before they reach the objective, a midnight black tail coat weaving through the scenery with the urgency of a scattering plague. Terith narrowed his eyes at the thought.

The ensemble was a little off-putting to adorn, and he'd later note with even more salty frustration just how awkward it was to walk around in the attire, the boots clunky and the sleeves a hindrance to the drawing of his sword. It'd prove difficult to swivel his way through the crowds if he wouldn't rip the goddamn things off prior to the attack, which would, considerably, add a flare to his actions, though the notion would become embarrassing the more he reflected on doing it.

The swordsman eventually threw the ungodly smelling bandanna unto his head with a grunt, and proceeded to rake his fingers through his hair to evolve into the sense of barbaric grooming, his gold mop now uneven and lumpy as he rolled the ends. The accessories, too, were to find their home in a corner of the alley. Such ornaments were unmistakably pricey, and perhaps he'd let a poor, unfortunate soul give them a better use than selfish traders. He'd crack a few shoulder bones as he settled into the get up, sporting the eye patch last, as it was quite tricky to place correctly.

The swordsman didn't seem bothered by the gaudy reflection that stared at him from a nearby broken window, assessing the matter in his head with nothing more but a limited sense of pride, for he believed that his dignity was elsewhere, and not even tarnished slaver cloths could hold a candlestick to his overwhelming treasury of honor. He gathered himself an ounce of dirt before smearing it around his face, fluffing a bit unto his arms and hands to amplify the disguise even further.

His sauntering movement was both unconvincing and lanky as he tried his best to suit himself into the persona, exiting the alley with a hesitant expression. He'd find Leila over to one side, seemingly waiting for his return, and though the approach was anything but graceful, he managed to accommodate the vacant space by her side.

"Going with the usual, eh?" he said, tucking his sword into the folds of his borrowed belt as he noticed no difference in her common attire. "I'm not sure how to go about this properly, but there's probably a roll of rope in one of the fisher boats, I'll go get some."

With that being said, he followed his line of vision and dug through the small boats, his fingers jumbling over the assortment of nets and baskets before finally finding a flimsy piece of rope tucked into the far back of the small fishing vessel.

"I won't tie it strongly so you'll be free simply by forcing it. But if the opportunity comes too early, I won't hesitate to cut you loose." he extended the rope with careful fingers, waiting for his partner to acknowledge the idea before attempting to bound her. "So...did any of these guys spit out some useful information?" Terith asked, tilting his head to watch the fallen slavers as they resolved to rest in cumbersome slumbers.

Waiting for her partner certainly paid off! When he came back into the alleyway, her eyes would practically shine as she inspected his entire figure from the tip of his toes to the last hair. If he told her that he worked in a theater, she would believe him without question! The attire and the way he wore it was simply... too realistic. Indeed, maybe a bit too good for a noble swordsman. He even used some dirt to connect with the hygiene of the common pirates, how nice. When he finally approached, he would start talking like it was nothing. "Why, it would be strange if the prisoner suddenly changed her clothes after being captured, aye? Now, get yer booty into the gear and find that rope!" She would try to imitate pirate speech as well, probably failing miserably. Though her imagination started trailing off again with Leila beginning to drool again. "Ehehe, don't tie me up too roughly. Or do if you want~" Her voice was mellow as always when she was thinking about indecent scenarios in the depths of her crazed mind. Thankfully Torian had enough sense to ask another serious question, quickly bringing her back to the Earthland. She quickly hopped into the air, turning mid-jump only to point at a corner where one of the pirates was. "After some work, I got a map of the base! No worries, I'll lead you to it without fail!" She reassured him and smiled innocently to the contrast of her face just few seconds ago. And with that, she let him tie her hands, going back into the dream land where she was... being done stuff to.

At least she was still capable of leading him the correct way in that state. Their base of operation was few minutes of walking away, but they eventually arrived to a wooden door with a slit in it. And there, a pair of blood-shot eyes stared at them. It was another slaver that was in charge of guarding the main entrance. Torian's deceit worked perfectly as a rough and somewhat wet voice sounded from behind the wood and iron. "Eh? Another one? Where'd ya get stuck, hm? Aaah, doesn't matter. She's looking pretty lovely too, good catch!" He would praise the swordsman in disguise, opening the heavy door for him. Inside was a spacious courtyard where the floor was made out out of sandstone. There were open buildings from all sides, filled with enslaved women of all ages. Though the young ones clearly outnumbered the older ones. And in the very center, the women they were tailing earlier, commanding her man what to do. Next to her, her right hand stood on a guard duty, ready for anything. There were quite few slavers around, but if the captain was to duel someone, surely they wouldn't get in the way. And if she was defeated, they would scatter like mice too.

Liberation of Slaves [Job] Empty Re: Liberation of Slaves [Job]

Post by Terith 31st July 2016, 5:53 am

    "O-okay...?"

He raised a rather peculiar expression as he deftly tied a knot across Leila's wrists, her reactions causing him a slight unease with the whole ideal. Though it was more awkward than anything. Still, being the gentleman he was, he decided to uphold his morals and not bother on questioning the flustered looks and the strangely enthusiastic regard for being bound, best not. So he safely assumed a straight face as he noted Leila's success in finding a course of direction with a fond smile of sorts, nodding slightly.

"Alright, I'll let you lead the way." he assured, placing a rough hand on her shoulder to emphasize the notion of a capture.

Their steps were deliberate and careful as they assessed the situation as diligently as possible, his elaborate espionage convincing a great number of underlings as they entered the fray with their intentions masked by nothing but a flimsy disguise. It was a little ironic that they hadn't truly come to memorize the contours of their comrades' faces despite being long at sea with no one but themselves to keep company among the women. His face contorted into a faintly amused one as one of the better slavers ushered him in without so much as a pause or an inspection, proving just how much of an upper-hand they had come to conceive over such sea-borne brutes. Though it was but a brief kind of deliverance as they found themselves in a large area that served as the slaver's very base, the heart of their processes and the center of a vile energy that practically had the blonde silently trying to repress his frustration, though he allowed himself to feel disgust at the two superiors who obviously had no concerns for the lives of other own kin, even more so for their auspicious captain, a woman who's long eyelashes landed on his figure with a hint of surprise.

"Oho, what be this?" Her heels made a sharp clicking noise as she approached them, her lips a full red curve that spared them no hint of her current thoughts. "I don't remember hiring a fine face such as you~" her finger rode a nail over the skin on his chest, "Where'd ya come from, laddy?" her grin tightened, "Or...more importantly, what're ya doing here, little stowaways~?"

"...Here to stop bitches like you, obviously." he'd bark in return, narrowing his eyes into cautious slits.

Terith could register the noise that followed as the metal of brandished swords clashing against their sheathes after they had been drawn, the faces of several minor slavers sneering at the two foreign figures. Evidently, they're was an unspoken degree of surprise that was riddled into their beards and braids, pairs of widened eyes having been truly fooled apart from the scarlet irises of Captain Tailcoat, which was, at present, burying daggers into his skin with the way she stared back at them.

"...Tsk. Ya lots are useless! Ya let a bunch of rats enter our base, ya should all be hanged!" The captain screeched, clicking her tongue as she unhooked her guns from the confines of her ruby-decorated belt. "And you, little scums, ya think it'll be easy to take us down?"

The captain rotated her guns around her fingers, tossing them up with a confident grin, and in the seconds that passed that consisted of her catching her weapons in a practiced stance, she made sure to send her first mate into the action, as well. "Carver, take out the one with the sword, I'll handle the girl."

A man no larger than Terith stepped forth from the shadows, his cutlass shining dimly under the faint light. "Yes captain."

The young blonde had felt the rush of an impending threat fuel his response to draw his blade,  the one named Carver approaching his figure with a monstrous speed that had him immediately resorting to the spirit Danzo, the power of the Tejun only barely allowing the swordsman a chance to dodge the cut that the first mate aimed at him, one that was obviously lethal in its own right. The process of hit and dodge and scatter and disperse founded a thin line of sweat to bead slowly over his brow, the tension rising to credible proportions simply by repeating the same motion over and over.

    'Khh....he's fast!'

His train of thought halted momentarily as a silver line broke his vision, no doubt a hit from Carver's blade as a pain gathered up his arm, slithering dangerously close to his chest. Had he
not rushed to fiddle with another half-step, then perhaps the gash would have gone farther into his torso. He huffed a ragged breath as he steadied himself, an arm holding unto his new wound.

"...Why're you dodging so much?" the burly man said, stretching his arm to find a better angle for his cutlass to shine with the scarlet of Terith's blood. "Come and fight me with the edge of the style that your master taught you!"

Liberation of Slaves [Job] Empty Re: Liberation of Slaves [Job]

Post by Noheme 31st July 2016, 9:55 am

Torian clearly hated this place from the first look he gave it, doing his best to not blow his cover too soon. As they walked on the crusty ground, other pirates gave them strange looks, perhaps some not recognizing the masked swordsman. Or perhaps it was simply because they were headed straight to the duo in center, the ones that ran this whole operation. And as soon as they got to the pair, they would initiate a conversation. Apparently the captain fancied Torian, probably because his skin was still fair despite all the dirt and his teeth still intact and way more white than anyone's here. Naturally, he would take none of that, and would nearly instantly start a conflict with them. Maybe it would be more advantageous to keep the farce, maybe he would eventually even get the chance to thrust his blade into the nothing expecting captain and finish it all in one swift betrayal. However, that was not the case and the fight would soon start. And even though she fancied the male mage, she may have fancied the silver haired fake slave even more, perhaps because she knew exactly how to treat her slaves. And so, the duo would be separated at least for the beginning of this fight, perhaps not the greatest of things to do, but it was inevitable. Now Leila was standing in front of the captain, who licked one of her guns teasingly, her gaze piercing the young mage's body. Her magic was ready, but the enemy was quick on the draw, first shots being quickly heard. Feeling intense pain in her left shoulder nad leg, she would do her best to move to the side, rolling behind few barrels that were scattered about and now served as her shield from the merciless guns.

Looking at the places that were hit, her clothes were burned thoroughly at the spots. The pain wasn't fading either, making it a bit difficult to move efficiently now. Hearing loud steps nearing her position, the captain clearly hated waiting and decided to get Leila out of the cover as soon as she could. Taking a deep breath, Leila's eyes flash as four columns rose from the ground around the female pirate, her movements being instantly paralyzed. Though not as strictly as weaker targets would be, she was at least stunned for a while, making this perfect moment for attack. Deciding that she should pour her all into offense, her body started changing, adapting the pattern of her roots. Gray skin would soon cover her whole, igniting soon after in order to create a flaming monster. Jumping from behind the barrels, a giant spike would shoot out of the ground beneath her feet as she landed. It was angled in order to drill itself into the pirate's stomach, pushing her along with it. Leila ran on the root as well, keeping with her enemy's body, and as soon as the roots stopped going forward, she would jump behind Scarlet's back, kicking her in order to stop her body from flying any further. With her boosted strength, she would kick her at full force, forcing her body into the air instead. Summoning a bomb fruit next to her, she didn't keep the fruit even for few seconds, she would throw it at the enemy instantly, making her explode midair. Just few seconds later, she would land with a loud sound, her body crashing against the hard ground. Her clothes burned and tattered, she looked way less graceful than before. Looking at the silver haired mage, her eyes filled with something that reminded her of terror and fear.

Clenching her fists, she would firmly grab one of her guns and pointed it at her own temple, knowing that only defeat awaited her if she continued fighting. After all, she was no mage, only a pirate with fancy guns. Against enemy like that, she stood no chance at all. But this was not something that Leila wanted. Despite how bad these two were, they had to stand a fair trial. If they died here, it would only work in their favor. Something like that... she should never allow. Changing her body some more, a whip shot out and coiled around Scarlet's hand. And with one strong motion of her hand, the gun fired, it's bulled grazing pirate's skin but not burying into it as was intended. She lived through her suicide attempt, but was not defeated yet. Placing one hand on the ground as her enemy started fighting with the whip, more roots would make their way towards her and shoot out of the ground, coiling around her limbs and torso, applying great force and restraining her completely. With some distance between them, Leila would start running right at her, jumping at the last moment and kicking Scarlet rather mercilessly right in the face, probably even breaking her nose. Sending her out of her own roots with that attack, the fight was surprisingly quickly over. The female captain was lying on the ground unconscious and the pirates all around would start running in sheer terror. But there was one that did not run, her first mate! Looking towards Torian, she would take a look how he was doing, perhaps even landing him a helping hand if he needed it.

Post by Terith 4th August 2016, 6:39 am

A brandished sword is the mark of a forefront battle, an even more so are the sounds of blades flourishing noisily against each other. And though the clearest sign of a war between warriors was the hymns of their weapons, Terith knew deep within the breaches of his soul that the most vivid sensation was the palpable sense of a challenge, the edge of a sword that he hadn't felt in a long time.

Perhaps it was in the way his enemy administered his speed in the most befitting way possible that made it seem so daunting, Terith being only seconds away from an improbable doom as his wrist pivots in a way that allowed him to weakly parry the momentum of Carver's cutlass, a force that had his jaw clenching with an iron grit. And the more he forced his weapon forward, the more would it become unlikely for it to land a successful hit, with the mere change of his breath acting as Carver's signal to move out of the way at near lightning speed.

"You're clearly not trying hard enough." the first mate beckoned, a single cutlass rolling lazily in his sweaty palm, "Such a fine talent you are, having me grace you with my best is clearly being undermined by your lack of motivation to comply to my terms." Carver narrowed his eyes, his forehead crinkling with the irk present in his crooked brows, "What is it that keeps you from showing off your skills, boy? Lack of training? No confidence? Never fought against a blade that clearly surpasses your's?" his smile is hallowing when it presents itself, tauntingly charismatic and full of shit, "....Or perhaps you were never truly grand as you thought you were? Shame, to be excited by your level of proficiency is somewhat disgusting."

Terith's lips dug a frown deeply unto his face, marred by a generous amount of sweat that failed to truly express his declining appreciation for the man's way of oath, as he proved himself neither noble nor respectful, but simply arrogant and magnanimously bored beyond his belief. A vein visibly bulged over his temple as he so wearily tried to resist an urge to administer his power through force, but the whispers in his brain favored otherwise, and deep inside him, he clearly knew that there was no room for a brutality that was unmatched for his style.

He was clear and definite, strategic as he could manage, composed if he cut himself some slack. And right then he was neither of these things, and it was undeniably the cause of a catalyst in his system, spinning his senses into disarray. Frustration was it's common name, but had it been named by the more observant?

    "Tch..."

    Then it would've been fear.

Terith's fingers that had finely wrapped around his Etherblade's grip began to quiver, his stance appearing ragged and rough. There was to be a more appropriate way to approach this, that much had been his dominant thought. But with the way his emotions were cloistering up like dead weights did very little to abhor the tension that maimed his battle responses. And with nothing left to serve as his resolve, the swordsman simply thrusts forward, unknowing whether or not there was a tactic at hand. Perhaps that was what it meant to be completely out of options, tackling the threat with blind eyes?

And as if to be very frank with the situation, irony decided to manifest in his weapon, allowing a burst of light to cause a momentary lose of vision for the neighboring eyes, including Carver, whose arm was but a tiny leeway of shadow against the onslaught of shine that fluttered off the blade. Voices of old settled into the spaces in his brain, granting him an awareness that he had yet to assure himself of.

'Did you really think this was the end of the line for you?' the jumble of words would relay, all different voices for each part of the sentence, which was honestly chaotic over harmonious. 'Did you really think you weren't powerful enough?' they'd say, the voices echoing across an almost non-existent space, 'Suck up. You're only half-assing this because you think you're not good enough.' an angry snarl followed shortly after, ultimately ceasing Terith's reasons. 'Grand is the potential within you, and yet you chose to ignore it!'

There was an instance where he questioned just how much more of this 'potential' he'd come to find and hear from the lingering dead men that weaved between his brain waves, and how much more times he'd fail to ignite the notion, if there ever was beforehand. And when the light seemingly dispersed to a thousand more particles that clung to his body in an amusing blue fire, the thought had then began to worm itself firmly into his head again, his thought processes jumbled and confused. When he looked down unto the crawling energy that consumed his arms, it's as if his garments began caving in as the fibers bent under the intense heat of the stormy flames, forming a sort of leather-like padding around his ligaments. He'd feel a pressure wafting from the artificial skin as it encased his body even more, reacting with a low groan of pain as he tried in futility to uphold the pressure that threatened to go beyond his tolerance.

Carver would only watch the display with a crinkled brow, bewildered and at a loss of how to make of the sight that neither party could comprehend. Even then, after the flames ate away at his form completely and had left a black figure in return, the first mate only deepened his expression of contempt.

"Looks like you've got more tricks up your sleeves, boy." the pirate snorted, quickly grabbing hold of his former footing with his cutlass sinking deep into his hand. "What's this? Some type of last resort?"

Terith said nothing, and it was a silence that only irked Carver into aggression. His first move was tactically produced to catch the opponent off-guard, but said strategy failed to instill such as his cutlass felt the failure of hitting empty space, two green irises round with surprise. His emerald gaze would eventually shut tightly as an ear-lurching hiss breaches his throat with the pain of a thousand suns attacking his spine. It seems that the other swordsman had managed to best him in speed in one timeless second, digging the dull part of his blade into a spot on his back that sent the impact across his body in waves, painfully sinking into Carver's nervous system like a dazzling lightning bolt.

Following the pirate's descent unto the floor were several more aims to his pressure points, no doubt causing a wide array of purple bruises to litter his dirty skin. It was as if the swordsman knew no bounds with the way he continued bashing Carver despite having fallen into a limp state, and to further staple in his strange behavior, there was no sound to be heard from him, not even a ragged breath, but simply a stillness that was unbecoming of his personality.

    Something was horribly wrong.

"P-please....m-mercy!" the pirate weakly pleaded, outstretching a hand to his fellowmen, only to see the hesitant stares of his comrades as fear and pity crossed their faces simultaneously. Torian's form soon lifted his weapon over the Carver's head, the blade hauntingly edged downwards as if his intention was to skewer it into the poor man's skull.

"Banishment....!" came a strange, unfamiliar voice from beyond Terith's mask, low and unforgiving.

Liberation of Slaves [Job] Empty Re: Liberation of Slaves [Job]

Fight between two swordsmen. It was clearly something she had no way of interfering with. They were both staring each other down and in the end, poured their very souls into the last attacks. Or at least Torian did, as he managed to defeat his opponent in rather spectacular fashion, leaving his female partner nearly breathless for the most part. The entirety of his appearance changed in a flash, leaving him as quite the sight to behold too. With the pirate crawling at his feet, it seemed that the end was in their grasp. Approaching the samurai from behind, Leila waves and sighed from relief. "I guess we're done then-" However, her sentence was not finished, for Torian gripped his sword once more. And this time, with a clear intent to kill, as his opponent was completely defenseless and actually pleading for mercy. Something was wrong... it almost seemed as if he had lost himself completely in the frenzy of battle. Having to do something quickly, Leila's hands transformed into their bestial, wooden form once more. And with a quick gesture, a wooden whip came out, wrapping itself around that sword which almost erased pirate's life. Normally, blade like that would surely cut through wine whip easily. But this one was reinforced with magic, making that a bit more difficult. As the whip's short length stopped Torian's movement, Leila would jerk with it too, knocking the poor swordsman out of his balance and letting wall on his back. At least that was the plan, hopefully it all happened how she envisioned it. Quickly rushing to him afterwards, she would jump onto his body and straddle him without second though, resting on his stomach. "Oi, oi! What was that? We had a deal, no killing!" For obvious reasons, she was quite mad. And in that very instant, city guard broke through the door, quickly restraining most, if not all of the remaining slavers. Their job was successfully finished. But Torian still had to explain himself.

Liberation of Slaves [Job] Empty 720 WORDS

Post by Terith 4th August 2016, 8:32 am

The darkness that possessed his vision was not the kind he'd extract fear from, rather, its intentions were best described as protective, eerily so that it was clouded by something else entirely. Strange sensations pulsed around his being in a steady pace, the forces diverging between good and bad intentions, anger and mercy, betrayal and forgiveness. Such a mix would have compelled him to bundle up into a ball, completely serene almost, as if the two elements blended into a harmony unmatched.

But the thought was quickly tossed back into the pits of his head as his back erupted in a sharp, undoing throb that had his form sprawled out ungracefully on his back. The strange, unfamiliar padding across his skin was still there and all he could make out of the current situation was a flustered expression, clearly not very well-versed with the position at hand.

"U-uh...." he gulped, "Not sure what you're um...t-talking about, but I don't remember breaking our deal..." he tilted his head a bit, "O-or...did I?"

All of sudden, a rush of cloistered thoughts started branching into his brain, trying their best to accommodate the lapses in his memory. He recalls the sensation of burning, the impending threat of doom, the stillness of a protective presence, and blue, so much blue that coated a human-like figure and it wriggled beneath him, and then his head felt like it was cracking as he feels an inhumane urge to punish beings underneath him, and take revenge for his descend from a place...a...place...a holy place?

"Sister...!" he suddenly screeched, grasping for his head as the padding on his skin melted away through a light-blue display of particles, falling off his body like droplets of dew before disappearing like dust.

"Why...sister...why....?!" his face, now visible to the light, contorted to a point where his eyes were wide with a sense of betrayal swirling in his irises. "WHY'D YOU PUSH ME-?!"

His tone of voice managed to swivel everyone's attention unto him as he desperately tried to cope with the overlapping sensations that piled up one after the other, cracking his mental psyche like a fragile vase. Before he could utter another word, however a dark, round shadow fell over their figures, the tension dispersing as a fat cat-like creature rolled into the ploy, shocking most of the gathered men and women as it tumbled close to it's master's whimpering form.

"..Thanks for taking care of him, Leila-nee." the bakaneko would concur, gathering the swordsman's body in its arms. "...This was the result of a release that should've never happened. It's too soon. I'm not sure why, but master's closer to the truth at a daunting pace...he needs so slow down, nya, or he might not be ready for it." it mumbled, narrowing its eyes into a worrisome gaze. "I'll be off, Leila-nee! I'm going to take him to a resting place very far from here. He'll probably have a lot of questions when he wakes up, but don't worry, I'll be there, nya!" The bakaneko offered the woman a kind smile, whiskers twitching in an unspoken farewell.

The creature weaved its master into its body eventually, wrapping itself into a large, furry ball before rolling off in a designated direction, of course, stopping by the entranceway to gather Terith's reward that jingled lightly in a city guard's grip, promptly leaving the poor guy shaken for a good moment.

Not many would come to truly understand the circumstance that the swordsman had to endure, but surely enough, the day was readily approaching it's end as slaves were liberated, but the shackles of the past were ever immaculate as they gathered on the swordsman form like chains.

'He's the one Aruji-sama is after, no doubt....' Nikuko thought, swiveling its way through the road outside the slavers' base. '...Aruji-sama is going to do bad things. I can't let her do bad things to master.' the familiar slowly stopped at a brisk pace, deep in thought, 'I think I'll go find the goddess familiars first, they'll know what to do. They'll protect master from Aruji for sure.'

A tinkling bell sound gently echoes with the wind as the large object unknowingly disappears beneath everyone's notice, the space it left blurred slightly by a bright orange sparkle, dwindling slowly in a matter of seconds.
