Name: Garlim Yuki
Gender: Male
Age: 21
Birthday: 24/03
Sexuality: Strai
Special Characteristics:
Personality:
Life has not been kind to Garlim Yuki – and, in return, he is not kind to it. His demeanour is non-chalant at best, and positively disparaging at worst. Friends have never been high on his to-do list, and as such the only person who he holds any loyalty with is himself. While he will act largely within the law as a point of respect for the people of Fiore, he has never been inclined to offer any help or assistance for those in need. The strong will survive, he says, and the weak will be cleansed. His actions as a loner lead him to places that most humans dare to travel, in search for seclusion and peace from the hustle and bustle of any of the major cities. He works, lives, and trains alone, but he won’t hesitate to protect himself when approached by an aggressive outsider.
His attitude is brash on the rare occasion that he interacts with other people, and his patience is a lot shorter than it should be. Even those who are kind to him are likely to feel his ire – sometimes more so than those who leave him to his own devices. Kindness is not in his heart, and nor shall it ever be – or so he believes. Weaknesses such as compassion are mere stumbling blocks on the path to power, and he doesn’t have time to clamber over the obstacles on his path to his true goal – to become a Wizard Saint.
In battle, he acts much the same as he does in life. The silent life of a hermit leaves him as a quiet warrior, barely using his speech when confronting an opponent. He has trained his magic in such a way that he doesn’t need to speak words in order to utilise his abilities – something that had led to his success on multiple occasions. Confrontation with a silent warrior, weaving around waves of pure lightning, sent all but the bravest of mages into a cold sweat.
Anger is not an emotion that he commonly finds himself falling prey to. Even on the receiving end of a beating he stays calm and collected, acting tactically and logically rather than in a brash manner. On the rare occasion that he does find himself becoming infuriated, his magic becomes uncontrollable – lightning may be the element of destruction, but in the hands of somebody without control it is little more than a ticking time bomb, and one that Garlim could fall prey to at any moment.
Leadership is never something that came easy to the young Yuki. As a child, his parents were keen for him to socialise with the other children, but he found himself caring less and less about their well-being as time went on. Their childish actions served only to infuriate him, and even then he knew that he could never truly lead anybody – compassion, while weakness to an individual, was the purest form of strength for any team. No, his destiny lay elsewhere – and so, he always lived alone.
Likes:
• Solitude: Garlim has lived alone since he was a teenager, and he doesn’t plan to change that any time soon.
• Power: Pursuit of power is one of the few driving factors that let Garlim survive in the wilds. He trained for days on end to increase his power – but to what ends, even he does not know.
• Thunderstorms: The raw, unbridled power of a thunderstorm is nature’s destruction at its finest – and this power appeals to Garlim in a way that few things ever have.
Dislikes:
• Companionship: Friends are weakness, and companions are close enough.
• Built-up areas: Towns, and the people in them, is merely an unnecessary headache that Garlim avoids wherever possible.
• Failure: Although he seeks no acceptance from anybody else, he still doesn’t like failure – much like most people.
Motivations:
• Becoming a Wizard Saint: Wizard Saints are the most powerful beings in the land – a goal that Garlim can associate with.
• Perfecting his magic: Lightning Magic is erratic, but Garlim strives to control it – no matter the cost.
• Knowledge: Being alone makes a good companion for reading. Garlim has hunted for years to complete his collection of rare books, and doesn’t plan to stop any time soon.
Fears:
• Defeat: Garlim gathers power so that he will never be defeated – because defeat would only prove to him that his way of life is wrong.
• Losing Control: Power is a double-edged sword – it can lead the user to unachievable heights, but can also knock down the deepest chasm. Only in control can he save his own life – but he lives in constant fear of losing it.
• Being trapped: After living his life as a free man, Garlim never wants to be tied down to anything that might reduce his freedom – no matter what he might gain from it.
General Appearance
Height: 6’2”
Weight: 14st
Hair: Blonde hair, ear length and unruly.
Eyes: Yellow
Skin Tone: Light skin, prone to a golden tan.

Garlim is seen most often in a button up-shirt with the top few buttons undone to reveal his muscular chest. On the rare occasion he receives visitors he puts on a suit jacket over his shirt. He wears a pair of plain black trousers and simple leather shoes.
At almost all times, the lightning mage is seen with a cigarette in his mouth – it is his only addiction, the only reason he has to regularly visit markets to replenish his stash.
