After the job: Mashyuu and Jade (A private social thread)

Beaten and battered but with cash in hand, Mashyuu walked through the town of Hosenka, it's design being different from most of the other areas in Fiore made it a place that Mashyuu loved to visit when Rocky, his earth elemental wasn't around. In fact the hot springs might have been his second favorite location in the world.

The brown haired, blue eyed wizard stepped into a small hotel, the light of the lobby hitting his bright orange pants and making them seem to glow a little brighter. He slipped his mothers brown jacket off his bare torso and stepped up to the counter. "Hi, I'd like a room for the night please. And access to your hot spring." Mashyuu said to the woman behind the counter. His voice was soft, the job he had just finished clearly taking a small toll on the Wizard. After paying for a room Mashyuu took his key and headed for his room on the first floor.

Slowly he slid the white screen door open and stepped inside. After taking a look around the traditional room he set his jacket down on a near by sitting pad and flopped on his bed, looking up at the paint, thinking about his last job. People almost died but he and his fellow Sabertooth guild mates managed to send slavers packing, even if it was just barely....

Jade was taking a slight walk through town, observing the scenery as this was a new place to her. She had never been to Hosenka before and she probably would not have if it weren't for the fact that she heard rumors of a Hot Springs at the hotel. She wore her usual revealing clothes as she walked past some people. They must have been wizards because she could sense a sort of power coming out of them. This fact brought a smile to her face "Hmm... interesting." she said as she walked past the group of people and headed for her destination.

She pushed open the door to the small hotel and leaned up against a wall for a bit of support. She sat down in the corner to rest her legs for a bit and to think if she really wanted to order a room or not. She swiped her hand through the air and quietly opened the door to the shadow dimension. She reached in and fished out a black cloak and a metallic mask. She slipped the cloak on and fiddled with the mask silently, tapping the red eyes, rubbing the face of the mask. She felt a new power walk into the hotel. This was a power she had not felt before. She glanced upward ever so slightly as she stared at the man who had walked to the front desk. When he ordered a room she smiled widely and placed the mask on her face, covering her body from head to toe. She pulled out a sword from the dimension and hid it inside of her cloak as she followed the man.

When she saw he man open his door she waited a few seconds for him to plop down on his bed before silently sliding the door open, trying not to make a sound as she stepped in and stood in the corner for a few seconds. She leaned up against the wall and chuckled slightly "You look pretty beat up." the mask gave her a metallic sounding voice and the eyes of the mask gleamed red as she talked "But yet, I still sense a sort of power coming from you." she said as she stared at the man.

Mashyuu hadn't heard the door slip open, his mind was focused on other events. But the sudden soft but metallic chuckle grabbed his attention instantly. His body shot upright in the bed, a hand reached out and his nose flared up, committing the scent in the air to memory. His bright blue eyes narrowed in the direction of the voice while a simple spell came to mind.

At first the Dragon Slayer thought he was looking at a ghost but no ghost would wear a black cloak or a metal mask. "I don't remember ordering room service. I'll give you ten seconds to get out of my room before I rip you apart." He threatened. The sudden arrival of someone who had managed to sneak up on him made Mashyuu's blood boil with anticipation.

While the Wizard had no idea who this was he was curious to see how she? She would react. Carefully he came to a stand, his torso tensing with the intent to cast a spell or fly into action should the woman attack. He could smell the metal on her face, it was strong enough to mask any other scent she might have.

Jade raised her eye brow behind the mask when she saw the man getting ready to attack "You really want to fight?" she asked as she moved her hand and pulled out her sword. She held her sword in front of her for a second before placing it on the ground and holding up her hands "Now, don't you think its a really dumb idea to fight in a hotel room. You could get fined." she walked towards him and stopped when she was next to his ear "or even worse, arrested." She laughed a bit "Now I wouldn't be arrested because I would be out of here by the time either the hotel owner or the authorities ever show up. She walked back and picked up her sword, placing it back inside of her cloak.

The short girl nodded a bit as she sat down on the floor in front of the mans bed and gestured him to sit down too. Whether he took the greeting or not was up to him. "I am here because I am interested in you." she shook her head "No me rephrase. I am interested in your POWER. Not you yourself." she stood up and waved her hand "I could care less about you physically though." She was testing him to see how the man would react to her insulting him. She laughed a bit as she went back to the wall and sighed.

The masked girl sighed a bit as she decided to change the topic to something that two people could normally talk about "Hey, this place has a hot springs right?"

A weapon was drawn, Mashyuu was ready to fly off the handle like most Slayers would but that old fashioned wait and see feeling crept up inside and he held his ground. Sure enough the woman dropped her blade but instead of using it to trick him she drew close enough to whisper into the taller man's ear. He froze in place and tried to stay calm while keeping an eye out for any danger. Here he could smell her and the scent locked into his mind...

He swallowed hard while she backed up and sat at the foot of his bed. His face relaxed a bit and he slowly sat down across from the woman. "My power? What do you know about what I can do?" He asked, wondering if this was some sort of test or prank from a Sabertooth Wizard. His eyes watched her every move, not sure what he should think of her. "...I find it hard to believe you aren't interested in anything other than my power. Why not just sit and watch from afar if that were the case?" He asked until she changed the subject.

"I- Yeah.... Why?" He both answered and asked about the hot springs. "Won't the water rust your face or something? Maybe you should let me see what you look like, ya know since I'm sitting half naked in front of you. It's only fair right?"

Jade let out a flirtatious chuckle "Are you flirting with me? Someone you just met? How scandalous!" she said with a seductive laugh followed by a shrug of her shoulder "I mean... I guess it would be fair..." she said as she took off her mask to reveal big blue eyes and a clear face. She slowly took the hood off of her head and pulled the cloak off of her body. Her long black hair tied into two pony tails with blue bows fell down her back. White gloves were on her hands as she placed her cloak on the ground. Underneath her cloak she wore a short white dress that stopped just under her butt and had a big open space in the chest area.

She tilted her head to the side a giggled a bit "There you go~" she cooed in a young girls voice now as she winked. "Now you know what I look like." she stuck her tongue out a bit. "I can sense strong magical power. That's what drew me to you. When I sensed you I just had to meet you." she blushed a bit "It's been so long since I found someone interesting to play with..." she muttered as she glanced up at the man she had intruded on and smiled as she hopped up "Anyway let's go!" she said with hands on her hips "The hot springs awaits!" she laughed as she waited for the man to respond.

"...Flirting? Oh sweetie I don't flirt with anyone who doesn't give me a name." Mashyuu said, his guard dropping slightly. He wasn't sure why but something about the woman made him trust her. Slowly she removed her dark clothes to reveal white under it and a beautiful face not to mention body. He almost instantly blushed but managed to keep the deep red from rising to his face. His blue eyes went up and down her form for a moment, trying not to linger on anything. "You sure like to dress in some strange clothes." He said slowly.

He watched her stick her tongue out and he took a deep breath of air. Mashyuu wasn't sure if the shorter woman was teasing him or truly interested in his power. But he figured it couldn't truly hurt to find out. Slowly he nodded his head up and down and stood up. Mashyuu stepped out of the room and waited at the door for the woman to follow then led her down a familiar path to the hot springs. He listened at the door but all he could hear was the sound of nearly still water. He slid the door open to reveal a good sized circle of tall stones with water in the center of the stones, steam rose from the water and near the door was a table with two towels and some scented soaps. Mashyuu slid the door shut and locked it. "Each room has a private hot spring." He explained and looked around, not sure if he should undress and get in or place the towel over his face and let her go first.

Jade followed the man into the hot springs and smiled as she started to get undressed as soon as she got in. After she was finished she turned to face the man "Aren't you going to get undressed?" she said with a smirk as she grabbed a towel and put it around herself. She slipped in and let out a sigh "It feels good." she said as she turned her head to look at the man with one eye open. She rested her elbow on the side of the spring and let her head rest on her hand.

She was silent for a second before laughing "You know I never thought I would get into a hot springs alone with someone I just met not even an hour ago." she said with a seductive look in her eye "Its sort of exciting~" she teased and laughed again. She was having fun with this person. She almost never had fun with anyone.

She stopped talking for a few minuets before speaking again "Jade." she said suddenly, not making eye contact with the man "My name. Jade Knighthunter." she said in a stern voice "You wanted to know it so there." she sighed a bit after speaking.

Mashyuu looked for a moment and went wide eyed, a dark red crept up onto his face as he twisted in place to look away form the woman. "....I can't believe you just did that. Not even a word about it." He said through gritted teeth. Things were happening in the strangest manner Mashyuu had ever been part of. He took a deep breath and looked down. He was already half naked, so swiftly he stripped and slipped into the hot spring next to Jade. If Mashyuu were an ice wizard the look in her eye would have melted him, luckily he was managing to hold up against her teasing. Even if it was just barely.

"Mashyuu. I'm not sure if I'm happy or terrified to meet you yet Jade but I can't say this hasn't been the most interesting introduction I have ever been a part of." He said with a half smirk on his face as he made his way to rest his back against a warm stone. His eyes fell shut for a moment and he could feel the hot water seep into his sore skin and muscles.

"So power? What did you mean by that in the room? I'm nothing special." He explained, softly opening his eyes and looking her in the eye, desperately trying to maintain eye contact.

Jade looked at the man with a smile on her face and shrugged "Maybe you have power... Maybe I just sensed something and it was nothing. We wont know for sure until we test that~" she said with a little smirk "Although I am not all that strong right now and you wouldn't want to hurt a little girl like me would you?" he placed her finger on her chip and made her eyes gleam with sadness as she looked down. This boy was fun to play with so she decided to stay and play with him a little bit longer.

She scooted her self over to the other side of the hot springs until she was almost touching him but not quite. "You know... I have never really had a friend before..." she said playing with the water in her hand "My dad had always told me that they were useless to have and my brother, I don't know where the hell he is..." she muttered slightly in a wavering tone. She was playing with him up until now but this part she was sincere about. "Maybe its because of what I do that drives everyone away... my goals... my interests..." she continued on until she leaned closer and put her chin of his shoulder so she could whisper in his ear "I am a very dangerous person..." she said as she lifted her head placed placed her hands behind it, lounging backwards into the hot spring "but don't worry, lets relax for now. I wont try to hurt you... you're fun." she said with a smirk as she winked at him.

Mashyuu smirked at the woman with a toothy grin. "You haven't given me a reason to hurt you... But I don't intend to just go out and test my skills against a random stranger either." Mashyuu explained. The sly smirk on his face faded however when Jade slipped up next to him and started to explain that she didn't have any friends. He found that very hard to believe. Mashyuu imagined that a woman who looked like that got plenty of attention.

Jade's closeness made the Dragon Slayer uncomfortable, he couldn't get a read on her or her intent. One moment she was being playful and the next it seemed like she was threatening him, hell Jade even broke into his motel room and drew a blade. Jade swam back and Mashyuu let out a breath of relief, in the water half his spells would be weakened and the other spells he had were of the darker nature.... He didn't want to have to rely on summons that were likely to turn around and attack him. "Jade? Would I know your dad or brother?" If he could get a last name it was possible that he could at least ask around about the family later.

Jade blinked for a second before shaking her head "I doubt you would know them... Their names are Asbel and Lance... Lance, my dad, he likes to hide in the shadows and perform acts of violence while my brother Asbel.... He has been missing for 5 years now..." She looked down into the water and sniffed a bit, rubbing her eyes to keep from crying. She was a strong girl in her mind and she couldn't let something as weak as family get her to cry. Jade looked up and smiled a wry smile "You know, I have always hid in the shadows with my dad, helping him with his plans to plunge the world into despair. I have no friends because of this..." she nodded to herself "You wouldn't call your slef my friend would you?" she asked with her eye brows up in concentration on the man.

Mashyuu felt the solemn air around him while Jade seemed to simply remember what had happened to her family and he honestly couldn't recall either name. He furrowed his brows in thought until he noticed that she had stopped talking and was looking up at him. "...Would I call you a friend? I don't know... I mean you did break into my room and aim a blade towards me. I don't know if I like that. Then again you haven't tried to kill me either."

The Earth Slayer considered what was happening for a long moment then went on. "You don't seem like the type to be hard pressed for friends but if you need one. Until you give me a reason to not be your friend you can call me one." Mashyuu offered with a half crooked smile while trying to make sure that she didn't think he was lying to her.

Jade blinked for a second before shaking her head [color=#ff0000]Jade listened to the man speak and beamed a big smile as she moved forwards and pressed her body against him, hugging him gently. "Thank you..." she muttered as she leaned her head on his shoulder. She wouldn't let go of him however because she needed to hold someone "Don't leave me..." she muttered gently. After about a minuet she finally let go and went back to her side of the hot springs and became silent once more. If her dad or her guild master saw her being soft around someone they would cast her out or criticize her. She was starting to grow weak because of her kindness towards this man so she decided that it was time for her to start questioning him.

Her eyes shot to him in an instant "Why would you want to be my friend... I mean I am not a good person as I said before." she said with a shake of her head "I want people to feel despair... no... I want the world to feel despair." she said as she clinched her fists and looked away "I want this world to burn and to cause panic I kill people. Once I have a target I make their life a living hell, killing the people they love right in front of them, torturing them until finally the time comes when they know true despair if they beg for it I will let them live with that despair for the rest of their life." she grit her teeth "Is that really someone you want as a friend?" she abruptly stood up and got out of the hot springs "I-Im sorry. but I have to go..." she said as she hurried to put her clothes and her cloak back on.

Mashyuu went still and silent as death itself as the woman hugged her body to his and rested her head on his broad shoulder. He didn't know how to react to her various mood swings nor did he really understand what was even happening. One moment she was putting a sword to his neck, the next she was stripping down in the hotsprings and hugging him. As she pulled away and started to get dressed he gave her a strange look.

"You think you can kill the one's I love? I doubt it. They are already dead. But your more than welcome to try and kill me." Mashyuu said while moving out of the hot springs and swiftly slipping on his shirt. "That is if you would rather have me as an enemy than a friend?"

Jades eyes went wide when she heard that his family was already dead. She clenched her fists and forced out a chuckle and smile. She ignored his question about being her friend and instead she turned away from him. Shadows formed at her feet and started to engulf her "This will not be the last time you see me dear~" she said in a flirtatious tone as the shadows encased her whole body. When the shadows dissipated she was gone and left no trace of her ever being there.

She appeared outside of the hotel and looked up at the boys window with a sigh. She pulled on her hood and placed her mask on the inside of her cloak. It gently started to rain as she stood there, looking up at the sky. She shook her head "You're weak Jade..." she muttered to herself as she thought about how her father would be disappointed and how her mother was ready to disown her. She clenched her teeth "I need to find him..." She growled as she shook her head and walked off into the distance "Mashyuu... weird name." she thought to herself as she made her way out of town.
