    CALL OF THEWILD
Silence is the loudest sound [Cain, Aioai] Tumblr12

"Mind where you're going," the blind mage spat out at a passerby, tapping her fingers against the person's shoulders as they passed.

People were completely inconsiderate these days; they wouldn't watch where they were going to mind a blind person's path. She scoffed at the thought as she entered the Neutral Grounds' territory and coursed her journey through the mega city. Such a task this would be for one whose eyes held the wisdom, but not the sight of what was held before her. Kanix often wondered what the world looked like, even for a moment to see through the eyes of another. At the same time, not being able to see a thing was just as great as being able to see. It let her imagine the greatest. That thought made her sound childish, and here she was, walking the mega city at age twenty and sounding like she was five.

Kanix breathed in a deep breath and let it out, pausing at the door of a building she wasn't sure what it was. She pressed open the door and entered, hearing the hustle and bustle of people as they walked around, left, and ordered drinks. The strong scent of alcohol reached her nose, where she wrinkled it in mild disgust at the thought of tasting the metallic liquid.

Feeling her way around, touching people, moving, walking, she found a place to seat herself in the back of the bar. Now it had become quiet, distant voices and small clanks of glasses hitting together as people cheered to each other. The couch she sat on was soft, squishy, velvety to her fingers and her blue eyes studied the emptiness in its place. Almost curious to know what it looked like, but then her icy gaze turned away and stared at the door opening again. Images flashed in her head, but she couldn't make out what they were saying to her; she merely listened.

"So how about it? You and me tonight?" Cain leaned forward on his bar stool, his left elbow rested on the bar all the better to shoe in on the personal space of the fine lady sitting next to him. However the darling dame who had until a moment ago seemed quite interested suddenly leaned away from Caine as if physically repelled by his question "I don't know what kind of girl you take me for; but I'm not it." With that she abruptly stood up and walked out of the bar taking her designer coat with her. Cain grimaced and leaned back in his seat "Again just like that." The bar tender, a large man cleaning a glass, laughed "Its like that every time Cainy-boy. They eat up your shtick all day and the second you go for the kill they bail like a water mage on a sinking ship. I almost feel sorry for you. Almost."

Cain looked at the bartender with eyes filled with equal bits respect and irritation "Just you wait Simon. One'll bite sooner or later." He spun around in his seat and scanned the bar "Just gotta find the right type." Simon chuckled some more and walked down the bar to help another customer "Just keeping saying that boy." It was then the low life's gaze fell on a lone lady sitting by herself on the far side of the room "Oh hey forget that mince. This shine will do fine."

Ever so subtle he slinked across the length of the tavern, pretending to chum it up with a couple other guests just to give him some cover, before finally reaching the couch where his target rested in seclusion, "Mind if I join you mi'lady? No one should have to drink alone in a friendly place like this." Maybe not the most original move but Cain still had his best cards up his rather short sleeves.

Clack, clack, clack—Gracing the door with four fingers, the old wooden door motioned, as the figure entered into one of the most common places of ‘sin’ and ‘entertainment’, a bar. The strong smell of toxic drunken men with the noisy of the cheery, such a loud and crowded place, such a place that the figure didn’t belong, but a drink could always ease the pain of the past and make one forget—A thing needed for a life so dark. Without so much as stop or a catch of a breathe, but more so like a rush in, a single female with her head staring to the ground and motioning her way over to the nearest emptiest chair at bar nearest to the bartender. No doubt if that didn’t catch the attention of the others around the area, the fact she was dressed in a short dress made of black fine-silk matched with a solid gold key around her neck, in a dump like this—Or maybe, it was the fact normally those with their head down are in a form of trouble, was she a run away, as she did look rather young? It had to be something, upon her entering such a place, it would seem like a dark but weak appearance invited itself in, but at the same time, some type of spirit, in the case of this female, a celestial spirit—The trouble being, in the world of Aioai, this place was new to her, she had never been within this town and this her first time in a bar.

Taking her seat almost instantly, the tip of her golden heels hit against the old-wood of the bar, getting the bartender’s attention, her head tilted up swiftly and with the most uneasy expression—The expression of nothingness. Before the man could even turn to spoke or address her at all, her plush pink rosy lips parted “I desire something--A drink that can drown the deepest and most nerve-wrecking feeling.” She said, her voice being as empty as a grave at midnight, and as cold as the ice from the freezer—The a single glare and nod, the man turned away and went on about the drink she wished, she desired. Placing both arms on the bar before her, she placed her head down atop of her hands and waited, wandering in a few thoughts as her eyes scanned around, a few stares to her, people having a good time—She just wanted her drink and to get the hell out of this place. She was uneasy, it was so noisy and she didn’t like it.

    CALL OF THEWILD

The approaching footsteps of a person was cause for Kanix to look away from the door to the person standing beside her. She felt him sit down on the couch, but it was a light touch, like he had friendly intentions and wasn't like the mutts who ran rampant in bars. Her icy, glazed gaze studied him, her other senses working hard to contribute in giving her a description of the person. Silence filled the air momentarily, but was soon broken by the electric voice of Cain; a spark to ignite the fire of a conversation.

Kanix jumped slightly at the sharp sound, not a harpy of a voice, sharp as in sudden and unexpected to her. His voice, overall, was enchanting; it sounded as if words just glided off his tongue, like honey from the stick. She blushed at her reaction and turned her face away from him, so as not to creep him out with her eyes and let him not see the red in her cheeks.

"I have no drink with me to begin with; I can't see the signs to read what drinks are even available here," she answered Cain, turning her face toward him again. "However, I won't deny you the seat, as this building has ownership to the couch and people are free to sit where they please." Briefly, Kanix fell silent, only to soon realize that if he was bound to sit here beside her, she may as well introduce herself. "My name is Kanix Laspor. May I be debriefed of my knight-in-shining-armor's name or will I be left in wonder?"

Her lips parted and she breathed in air through her mouth as if she was about to say something else, but then looked to the door. Another girl entered the building, dressed in a black, short dress, not that Kanix was able to see such details. She was curious to know who this girl was though, and why she was acting the way she had been acting just now.

"Perhaps we should let her join as well. . ." the woman questioned mostly to herself.

Cain's first impression was immediately positive, she blushed, she looked away a little; it was starting to look like an easy pick up. But red flags shot up as she mentioned she couldn't read the signs. Which either meant illiteracy or eye problems, for a brief second he debated in his mind Crap Cain she could be blind for all you know. You want to deal with a disability? She worked her way in here just fine so maybe she just can't read. Dang it man she's too much of a looker to pass up just because she MIGHT be blind. Even if she is; it could be worth it... Without any further hesitation he sat down on the coach and slide over to Kanix's side just in time to run into another wall. As she introduced herself she included a last name, which would prompt Cain to do the same Screw you pops! You couldn't even be bothered to make a fake last name for me?! She'll think I'm weird if I say I don't have a last name... Gotta make something up... Cain shrugged "Kanix huh? Now that's an exciting name if I've ever heard one. But this knight goes by a slightly more humble moniker 'Sir Cain Able,' at your service."

Cain mentally berated himself, that was the stupidest name ever.

When Kanix's attention shifted to the door Cain figured he'd lost her interest. But her interest in the other girl put a spark in Cain's eye and some hope in his heart. This was salvageable. He sprung to his feet almost as fast as he had sat down and with no shortage of flair; spun on his heels and offered his hand to Kanix, "If you are so intrigued then maybe we can go introduce ourselves; and maybe while we're up there I can help you with those signs?"

Cain would normally be content with just bringing home someone like Kanix; but if he could get two darling dames why settle for one?

She tried very hard not to laugh at the fake last name he had thrown at her, knowing full well that could not be it. However, she would not push him in telling her a last name, even if he happened to not have a last name at all. Still, it was quite amusing that he would even attempt to make a fake last name, just to introduce himself.

"Cain Able. . ." she repeated the name, a smile lacing her lips at the last name again before she became straight faced. "Well, Sir Able, it's a pleasure to meet you, but I doubt I'll be needing your services any time soon; thanks for the offer though. In fact, it would be much better that we go sit with that lonely girl over there, I bet you she needs a friend or two."
She was about to stand to her feet when the whirl of wind and vibrations from the ground told her Cain had stood.

He offered his hand, she could feel the disturbance in the air, exactly where his hand had moved in front of her. "I suppose you can try all you want to help me read those signs, but I'd need to be able to see them in order to read them," Kanix replied to him. Her blind eyes rolled at his attempt though, and she reached her hand forward, placing it along his forearm. She would gently drag her hand down until the tips of her fingers found his palm and interlaced with his fingers to pull herself up.

This time, Kanix would take the lead, gracefully pulling Cain along until she had nearly run into a stool that was close to Aioai. With a small oof, she placed her free hand on the stool and found her seat, letting go of Cain's hand in the process. "Hello there," Kanix greeted Aioai, resting her icy, blind gaze on the woman, ignoring the bartender in the meantime.

Pensive or melancholia? Shoveling against the hardwood’s surface, turquoise nails danced alone the darkwood—Short of patience or intolerable, or maybe, spaced and conflicted? Muzzled both the mouth and nose pressed into her forearm most of her face remained concealed, pitched into soft flesh two sets of finely pointed canine teeth bit—Uneasiness and discomfort, distressed by nature and appeared not to be in the mood. Locked within her own mind, circling questions and irresolvable resolutions haunted her as the unshakable truth could never simply slip her, but the lie was always given to live and one couldn’t possibly know what was never told. From the highest point in a dreams’ nightsky like shooting fires to falling stars, a memory of mother, father and herself, the beauitful study of Astronomy and how they found Aioai. Within a bednest of feathers, ashes and dirt, they had found the baby called Aioai and took her into their home, it was rather ironic to circumstance as to how they found her and to their last name, she inherited ‘Nightstray’, Aioai Daiz Nightstray.

‘Fifteen years..’ she thought, almost questioning the years and days, almost questioning the years of her suffering and the core of her never ending shame, blame and pain—Relapping around her fourth winter, the winter night she lost both her mother and father, forced to leave them inside a burning building and than, within the one foot of snow as her icy breathe signed to her belittling health, she heard the painful and heart stabbing song the screams of two beloved ones’ burning alive combined with the horrid smell of flesh turning to ash as three men laughed in cheer. Subconsciously dancing within this sick limbo, she had not moved a single inch nor blinked a single time as she stared beyond the distance of the far—and before her mind could wonder towards latter experiences, within midst of this limbo, she heard something, something that was never apart of this misfortunate experience.. A bump and a few seconds after.. An unfamiliar voice that was close, it was so close like it was right next to her and being not that of a male, but that of a female.

Suddenly, caught within a dark daydream, she blinked as she simultaneously released her light bite against her forearm—Dimmly lit, the small radiant purple within her eyes shined everso slightly with a bit of curiously, no doubt the words of ‘Hello there’ were addressed to the distressed female whom was within her limbo. Upon sitting on straight fully with her arms withdrawing from atop of the bar’s counter, they placed themselves within her lap as Aioai turned her attention swiftly to the female found next to her, sitting within a little wait of the pensive girl—As her eyes laid upon Kanix, she took notice of her appearance, voice and any other details that could be noticed, the last being, Kanix appeared to be blind. Midst between such notice, she turned her attention to one that was accompanying her, Cain, a male in whom didn’t have vary much of her attention, as she did not even look at him for a second before turning her looking back to Kanix. “Did you harm yourself upon locating your seat?” Aioai said, her voice being everso icy and expressionless as very same as she addressed the bartender, but however, she express concern within the choice of her words—Noticing a like error as she address the woman next to her, Aioai was spoken to rather friendly and all she returned was a monotoned voiced concern with no greeting at all. Within Aioai’s mind, it seemed that Kanix no doubt had a struggling getting over here and was kind enough to even speak to Aioai kindly. With this noticed, she found herself parting her rosy pink lips once more not after a few seconds of speaking. “Ah. I misplaced my manners. Hello to you as well.” She added, placing a bit more ‘warmth’ within her tone—Removing that of a rough and cold nature, to that of something a bit more soft and inviting for the conversation, a hope that it’d possibly make her feel a bit matter.

"I mean when I said I'd help you read the signs I meant more like read them for you, I wasn't planning to try and teach you how to read or something when we got up there, just because while such a kindness isn't beyond me or anything just the time in-" Cain quickly shut himself up as Kanix began dragging him across the room.

Rule number 1 of picking up women at a bar, odds are the ones sitting silently alone are doing so for a good reason, and by consequence more trouble then they are worth. This shallow minded page from the philander's play book came to Cain's mind as he had now blatantly ignored it twice within five minutes and he got the seeking feeling he was about to see the reason for the rule.

But he was ever one to skirt rules and continued regardless.

He lightly smiled and made an attempt to catch the new girl's eye; greeting her with "Hellos all around then! We couldn't help but notice you were spending this evening by yourself." Simon caught Cain's eye behind the bar, the bartender probably hoping that the two girls would actually buy something instead of just occupying his seats. Cain's free hand went to a pouch tied to his belt and softly squeezed it. The barkeep caught their signal for 'I'll buy them something, or later buy myself enough for both of them depending on how this goes.' So reassured of his profits the large man returned his attention to other customers and Cain's returned to the lone girl.

"So as the know we figured we all could share some good times here'in. How about it?" Cain bit his tongue as he accidentally let slip some questionable figures of speech. Come on Cain! Why don't you just go and scream I'M FROM THE- Oh hey Kanix is saying something.

"I bump into things all the time when I don't have something that allows me to see where I'm going, like a stick or something," Kanix responded to Aioai quickly. She didn't really like talking about her weakness of sight, that she couldn't gracefully walk around like some blind people. "It'll just be a bruise, nothing to worry about. Hey! Just because I can learn outside information by just a touch, doesn't mean I can see with it. In all honesty, it's quite exhilarating when an image pops into my head, one I've never seen before, and I can see everything." Kanix wiggled in her seat and turned her face toward Cain when he took his own seat around the two of them.

"Hm. . . I suppose you can read the signs for me, Cain," she answered him, shrugging slightly in response as well. "I don't know if I'll order anything or not; I can't really handle my alcohol as strong as I may look to you." She winked at him and looked back at Aioai, pursing her lips in a contemplating way before speaking again. "So, what's your name? I would try to guess myself, but this is the neutral grounds, magic is cancelled out here."

When Cain said some rather odd figures of speech, Kanix had to look back at him with a confused look. "What are you saying, Cain?" she inquired, tilting her head some, frustrated that she wasn't able to pick out possibilities.

Shortly after the greeting of Kanix, the male added his and before Aioai found herself replying, she heard the Kanix speaking. Tapping both her index fingers’ nail against her kneecaps, it was the only way she found herself expressing her discomfort—Socializing was not a strong point, besides most of her conversations she held involved her bloodied or tied up, if not worse; impatience awaiting a drink as well, could she just have the whole bottle? With each tap to her knee, her dig pressed a bit harder into the skin with her unknowing doing it as she stared at the lips of speaking female—Before falling back into her nevereverland, she stook her head left to right and reversed the order before ceasing such a waking action. With the lift of her right arm, she placed the elbow of it into atop of her knee as she balled of her hand into a fist, resting her chin on her knuckles as she slightly leaned forward and to the side towards Kanix just barely, just enough to show she had her attention, even though, the speaking female was blind. As soon as the female finished speaking, she had spoke to the male who accompanied in some type of answer about reading the sign to her—Oh, where was Aioai’s drink? She was still waiting.. Not like it mattered anymore, she could drown herself in a conversation with these two.

She hadn’t found herself with nothing to say in reply to the female, after all, she hasn’t been the type to socialize, but Kanix did give a bit of useful information about the place she traveled in and about herself—Turning her head to the male that accompanied Kanix, he was mumbled to himself, a tongue of words she couldn’t quite understand; having good hearing and still couldn’t understand him, but she did understand the name he was addressed as. When she thought about the offer, atleast the idea of company. Cain appeared to be right and it must’ve been abnormal for a female to be sitting alone, but that was normal to her atleast, she was always alone because she made sure of it—She was unsure how to take it, the female could be acting out of kindness and the male could be acting out of this.. ‘luck’, or both are being considerate, but that would be narrow-minded of her. “The company is not what I mind.” She had mumbled quietly, just enough for it to be barely heard by atleast the female if not the male as well. But as soon as she mumbled these words, she noticed Kanix bring her attention back to Aioai and asked a simple question, what was the lone girl’s name, even adding to the fact if the ground didn’t disable magic and could guess it; that worried Aioai just a bit. “Aioai. Aioai Nightstray. I know I am rather quiet, but I think, atleast if I allowed myself to feel a speck of emotion. I believe I would be glad to have company like you to. If I may also ask. What is your name, m’lady—” Cutting herself off, she leaned herself to look at the male, lifting her head from her hand and knowing his name was Cain, but that was besides the point, he should have the manners to tell her. “And m’sir?” Unsure how friendly she found herself coming off to both, it was sure that her monotone voice was not friendly and she had to use her words to make her appear so.

The Aioai girl was giving Cain every kind of weird vibe. She didn't scream the social type and just the fact that someone as quite as her would come out drinking alone seemed suspicious. But her short dress compelled him to try and look past the rough edges.

When confronted on his speech Cain only shrugged and cheaply explained away his odd word choice saying, "Oh sorry. I'm foreign; the saying translates poorly. I always forget." Moving right along he next addressed Aioai, "The name's Cain. Pleasure to meet you Miss Nightstray." The bartender passed setting a drink in front of Aioai that was a sinister dark color. Cain stopped Simon, "Hey buddy. Can I get my usual and something light for the lady uhm..." He looked between Kanix and Simon as if trying to decide something, "You look like you could go for something kind of fruity. Maybe. You like that sort of thing? I'd bet you do. Ooh strawberry; I'd willingly bet the price of whatever it is that you could do a strawberry drink. Something strawberry Simon. On me of course." The bartender sighed and looked at Kanix apologetically, "You found yourself a fine gentleman here miss. I'll get it in a second."

With that he walked into a back room. Cain looked right offended, "What was that about now?" He scratched his chin and looked at Kanix "Sure we could have played the 'how about this, or how about that,' game with every drink on the shelf but we would be here all year. That was faster. Besides Simon has good taste, you just point him in the right direction and he'll always get just the right thing." He was rather confident she would be fine with him giving her order, but he wanted to be sure, "That's just fine right?"

He was looking at Kanix but his eyes occasionally darted to Aioai's drink, it was kind of an intimidating looking thing.

    CALL OF THEWILD

"My name is Kanix Laspor. . . I'm a guild member of Basilisk Fang," she responded to Aioai in a low voice. People weren't really supposed to know about Basilisk Fang, so she wasn't even sure why she had said its name in the first place. All the woman had asked of her was her name and that was it, no reason for her to have told what guild she was in. She had a feeling that this mistake would get around somehow, and Famine would have her neck for it. "You're free to call me Kanix or Laspor, or really whatever happens to suit your fancy at the time, I don't care." The mage quieted herself now and looked down at her lap, clasping her hands together and twiddling her thumbs. After all, the more she spoke, the more she would likely release information about her guild no one should know.

Kanix cleared her throat and looked back to Cain, who was busy ordering a drink for himself and apparently her. Not that she really mind; in fact, this would be her first drink, as she wasn't really one to drink vigorously like some. When she was presented with the option of having a fruity drink, she wasn't really sure what to say about it. Sure would've been too careless, but if she said anything else, she didn't want him to think strangely of her.

"I suppose that's all right," Kanix replied, shrugging her shoulders to show that she wasn't really sure on it. Drinks were drinks to her, as long as they tasted good and weren't rufied, she would be fine with drinking it. "I mean, I don't really drink. While the guild has a bar inside, I'm not one to order alcoholic beverages often."

Kanix glanced toward Simon when he mentioned something about Cain being a real gentlemen, and she blushed. It wasn't like she was into him or anything, nor did she really want that idea to be getting out when she hardly knew him. The woman looked away and adjusted the clip on her coat that held it together, so her boobs didn't pop out.

"I suppose that's handy, but like I said, I'm not really a drinker to begin with," she responded to Cain again. "And I'm fine with it, don't worry."

She let a little bit of the silence pass by.

"So. . ." she began, but let the word drift off her lips without saying anything else.

Upon the boat in this vast sea, the black waters around me tell the story of a girl who hasn't drowned —Aioai
    Sometimes. Sometimes.
    Always. Always..
Ah. Dark colored, the liquid shined to the light around the floor as her eyes stared at it in a slight wonder—She wasn’t a drinker, she was far from it, by far she just choose not to drink but due to the events of lately, she just couldn’t find herself no caring. They said drinking was a good way to help some things find ease, but if not careful, it causes more problems than it helps. Noted the two’s conversation, Aioai heard a few things from the two, not just their names but other little fun bits—Cain was supposed foreign and member of a guild, one that Aioai felt like she heard up and by the way Kanix was talking, it seemed like she was suppose to keep it hush-hush.

“Cain and.. Kanix..” She mumbled, along with a slight side-thought about this guild, due to Kanix lowered tone, it caused a light curiousty. Trailling a finger’s tip against the first button of her dress, her thump and index pitched together with a shift undo three to four different buttons along the next and near the collarbone—Another hand used, fingers found themselves stuffed down her dress to her bra, shifting around in her dress for only a moment, her fingers felt around the small wallet between her breasts and simply pulled out money for the drink slide infront of her. As soon as her hand left, she buttoned her dress back up to her neck hooking her index on the collar as she readjusted it. “Thank you.” She said as she slide the money against the hardwood of the bar, it was a ‘bit’ more than the drink’s price, but whatever was possibly left could be a tip, Aioai had no rent so it didn’t even matter to her and getting a job was easy anyways. Taking her other hand to her glass—Raised against her rosy pink lips, the smooth fine edge of the glass fogged as her breathe hit against it. Noticing the silence form between everyone, Aioai didn’t really have anything to talk about, so she found herself attempting to add to the conversation about where she use to leave or how she got here. “Being from an island.. This place... Rather, what we call the mainland.. Is alot different from where I was fou--Born. From where I was born.” She said, upon her little error ‘found’ that was quickly covered by ‘born’, her hand squeezed her glass a bit as she found herself feeling rather downed by that—She didn’t remember real mother and father, the adoptive mother and father didn’t have any knowledge on them as well, or they would’ve told her when they were telling her about where she came from.. “So needlessly to say. This is my first time in a bar as well.” she added, but it wouldn’t make much sense has to why she seemed to be in a horrid mood when she strolled in here—Not like they would notice that, atleast, what’s what she thought. “Are you two from within this city or just wandering through like me?” She found herself asking.

Being all said and done, Aioai took this time to down three huge gulps, having a bitter taste of the dark liquid racing along her tongue to the back of her throat and down—It's burning sting as an after effect made it seem rather worth it.

Cain realized he had potentially made a fatal error. What's with this girl? At this point in time Basilisk Fang should be more or less a secret. Why would one of their members be ratting like this? Heh maybe I'm just that smooth. What are you thinking dude?!? She could be like a trained killer assassin person thing. Cain knew he was a bad person, who did some questionable things. But he also understood he was little league; guilds like Basilisk Fang were not little league, someone who could so openly claim membership were not little league. His every cowardly impulse told him to run for the hills, live to seduce another day. But for some reason he found himself carrying on just as he was; even replying to Kanix's comment without missing a beat "Well then fair warning when you taste what my man Simon has got you will be a regular drinker just like that."

"Flattery gets no discounts." Cain almost jumped out of his seat as the bartender placed a shot glass of a gold colored drink in front of Cain and an orangish red cocktail glass in front of Kanix. Regaining his composure Cain looked down the bar to say something to Aioai; but instead his words were forgotten as he found himself watching a little too intently as she retrieved her money. He was able to snap out of his trance as she buttoned up just in time to hear her question about their origins. "Well as I said I am foreign. But I live in this country now. However Magnolia Town is my more usual haunt. I just like to hang out here because I don't have much going for me as far as magic power goes; its a safe-ish place to enjoy raising a little hell."

Cain took a sip of his drink and felt his better judgment slip away.

Kanix snorted at his word, not believing that a single sip of an alcoholic drink would make her instantly addicted to the place. Unless it was magic-induced, then she would have no interest in returning here any time soon, less it prove to be an advantage. She grabbed the cocktail and pulled it close to her, leaning forward slightly sniff at the orange liquid in the glass. It did smell fruity, a little too fruity to her, but she was open to trying it if Cain was going to force her to. However, as she was about to take a drink of the alcoholic beverage, she heard Cain quiet down at Aioai's movement.

Something snapped inside of her and she aimed to grab the man by the collar and pull him close to her face. "Don't be getting any ideas, lover boy. . . I might not be able to see, but I know full well if and when you have a toxic idea in your head. I don't need magic either, I just need to sense your tiny bit of movement, and your head will be mine," she threatened him. Kanix would let go of his collar and smile briefly at him before taking a sip of her cocktail and being flooded with taste.

Her mind froze at it, unable to comprehend all of the fruitiness that she was tasting just from that one sip. She ran her tongue over her lips, her eyes now staring down at the thin glass in slight wonder at the magnificence of all the flavors. Though her mind was reeled by the simple taste, it had been broken of thought by Aioai's question of where they came from.

Kanix didn't know her actual place of original, couldn't recall it after she made some deals with spirits. "I do not reside within this city, my home is out in Cursed Lands; well, at least my current residence is," she answered Aioai. " Personally, I don't like staying in places for long, but a friend of mine was kind enough to offer me space at his castle." She quieted down though, having no interest in really saying anything about her own place of living.

Believe it or not that was not the first time Cain had been violently threatened by a women at a bar. So he took it rather well. Shutting up quickly and keeping his eyes off of Aioai. But it seemed the damage was done as she quickly excused herself and left Dang I knew getting both was a long shot. But if I knew a harmless peak was enough to sink that ship maybe I wouldn't have bothered. Sure he was deterred but he wasn't quitting yet; there was a bigger ches- fish to fry. He wasn't sure what to say so he just took a little sip of his drink and the alcohol did the talking for him.

"Staying in a castle huh? I knew you had the looks of a royal about you." He leaned back in his seat "Not sure what tipped it off though. Could have just as easily been your elegant hair or maybe your regal figure..." Another drink, "Of course I'd invite you to my own castle but..." Cain gestured to the room around him "We're already here Mi'Lady. I hope the accommodations are to your liking?"

    CALL OF THEWILD

"Oh, I'm far from royalty," the woman murmured, stirring her drink with the straw that in it before drinking the rest of it. Kanix wrapped a hand around her hair, pulling it over one shoulder, despite the length of it being fairly long. The comment on her physique was another thing, sending her blushing from the flattery she was receiving from Cain. "Oh please, I'm sure there are a lot of other women you've met that are a lot prettier than I am." In spite saying this, she felt the rush of heat blossom in her cheeks stronger, having never been complimented so much in her life. "Your humble abode is quite lovely, I assume; so lively of people, but I fear that this isn't the type of place I go often. Perhaps, you could take me to a much quieter place in here? Like back to where I was before or more quaint than that?"

Kanix slid off her stool and aimed to grab hold of one of Cain's free hands, gently tugging at his arm to get him up. She was smiling now, her face not red from embarrassment anymore, but from the alcoholic drink she had. Her sightless eyes studied him and she bit her lip, then tried to pull him closer to her in a more flirtatious way. "I'm sure there are other things you would like to do than sit around and talk, no? Or would you like to get drunk off your ass?" The woman would have to stand on her toes though, being several inches shorter than Cain, to plant a kiss on his cheek.

Cain was prepared to go on and on to counter Kanix's attempt at dismissing his compliments. But before he could Kanix's request to be taken to a quieter place caught him off guard, This night may be promising yet... As his hand was taken and he was pulled to his feet he said "I think I may know just the place." His face went red as Kanix pulled them together but he reflexively wrapped his arms around her. He only smiled mischeviously when she planted a kiss on his face. He let go of her with one arm and retrieved something from a pouch on his side.

Proving that he did have SOME strength he swept Kanix off her feet, "Hold on tight," and in the very next second they were zipping through the streets of the Neutral Grounds. They only had to travel a short distance, but in that time Cain somehow clipped a curious earring onto his ear. Watching him sprint down the streets must have been quite the sight to see for any people passing by, but what was more curious was the second Cain stepped out of the magic nullifying field they seemingly disappeared into thin air.

The truth was the second he stepped outside of the Neutral Grounds his magic earring reactivated and warped them to who knows where. Who would be Cain, he knew exactly where they were. It was a plain looking bedroom. It was furnished with a simple bed, a wood dresser and a wardrobe shoved into the corner. There was a single door and no windows. The most note worthy thing was a little stand that wore an earring that matched Cain's. He quickly removed said earring and hid it away again in his pouch. He grinned at Kanix, his face still most red, "Welcome to... Well the quietest place I know."

Kanix let out a gasp as she was swept off her feet, huddled close to the man's chest, mostly to protect herself from falling. Her fingers were tightly knitted to his clothing, afraid that he would let go over her, just to kill her off because she was a dark mage. She squeezed her eyes shut until they were far from the reaches of the Neutral Grounds, and the overtaking nausea started from the teleportation. The woman was not one for teleporting, especially when she had never teleported somewhere before in her life. It was always either by boat, foot, or train, and at the very least, some type of moving vehicle when given chance. One eye cracked open, though it wasn't as if she was able to see anything to assure that she was still alive. This was merely the effect of saying that she was going to trust him not to drop her, despite how heavy she may be.

The teleportation was quick, however, one moment they were just outside of the Neutral Grounds, and the next they were in a small cabin. Kanix breathed in the different, very homely, smells of the place, overwhelmed by the sudden change in scenery. She paid no mind to anything else, but released her grasp on Cain and stepped away from him, feeling her feet on the ground once more. A deep breath in and a relaxing exhale, Kanix twirled around for a moment to get a feel of what the place was exactly. After a moment, she turned back to Cain, the spark in her eyes still there, ready for a bit of mischievousness with him. "What a quaint home you have," Kanix purred out, a grin spreading over her lips again. "Have anything in mind now that you have me here?"

Cain looked her in the eye, intrigued by the spark behind the clouds, he took a few steps toward her, "Well you said you were in a dark guild right?" A grin tugged on the corner of my mouth "Maybe you could show me the darker side of you?" He closed the distance between them and made an endeavor to put his arms around her waist. He wasn't sure when it started but he noticed his heart rate had picked up considerably. "Or maybe since you can't see what I look like with your eyes, maybe we can help you get a feel for the man in front of you?" Eagerly he continued, "I feel we've been unfair to you so far. I've had every opportunity to behold your beauty but you can only make guesses to my appearance." He put his face right in front of hers, leaning down a little, "We have all the privacy and time in the world. Just say the word and I'll make this a night we won't ever forget."

The darker side of herself wasn't the seduction or the flirtatiousness, it was the murderous woman out for revenge. However, she played along with the words and bit her lip again, grabbing hold of her arm at the elbow with one hand. This flirtatious pose was something she often did, either to express embarrassment or to show a little bit more... you know. Her eyes briefly closed and she sucked in a deep breath before opening them again, that lighthearted nature now gone. Kanix could hear the rush of his heart as it beat quickly, and when he slipped his arms around her, she moved her hands to his face.

A clean shaven face... a strong jawline... Kanix would pull his face lower, until her lips touched his in a kiss. She would then pull away from the kiss and remove his hands from her waist, taking a step back from him.

"You want me? You have all of me. Let this be a night to remember," she maneuvered around him and fell onto the bed. Kanix would unclasp the button on her coat and let it slide open, as it naturally would have when taking it off.

ooc: Unless you want to take this to skype (if you're comfortable and old enough), this is as far as I go for sexual content.

Cain could hardly believe his luck. This was really happening, he had actually brought this knockout to his room. Even if it had gone off to a shaky start, Cain did not regret a moment of it. "Your wish is my command Mi'Lady." Then without a moment's hesitation he joined her in bed.
