A New Ace Empty A New Ace

Post by Kakuma Blackflower 15th November 2015, 9:00 pm

Kakuma was in her office pacing back and forth, Jin and Elyx had vanished without a word, leaving her with two ace positions empty. Well to be honest Kakuma had three to fill as there were 4 ace positions, Kakuma sighed, she was unsure if Elyx had ever finished with Irina. Kakuma sighed and decided to call everyone that she felt was necessary. She called in her aid and started explaining what she needed.

"Hello Ria." Kakuma said to the red head as she entered the room. "I need you to get me Irina Naginata, Magna, and Lexa please."

"erm... now?" The red head asked. "you are aware its the middle of the night."

"No i didn't but i need to speak with all three immediately." Kakuma motioned for the girl to run off. Ria frowned and left the room, Kakuma sighed and began tidying up her room. Kakuma office also doubled as her bedroom, but she didn't pick up her discarded clothing and stuff, just the things that might do damage to someone. after a short bit of time Kakuma was ready to meet the three others, so she took a seat and waited.

Lexa heard shouting coming through the halls of Black Rose's living quarters where her room was. At first, the sound was brushed off as no-one ever asked for her in the dead of night, so the blonde haired mage continued staring at the moon. Lexa was pondering her place in the world, who she was... what... she was. She noticed that to be the most common question for her, "What are you..." Had it only come from her enemies, Lexa wouldn't dwell on it so often; but it came from allies, people she'd partnered with for the first time always questioning her. "I'm... human. Aren't I?" she said softly, leaning against the wall of the tallest part of Black Rose Guild Hall. Lexa was about to fall asleep when she heard her voice being called, accompanied by "The guild master wants you in her office immediately" being barely heard. Lexa questioned what the reason was, it was pretty late after all. Forgetting to tell the person that she was on her way, Lexa burst into a ray of moonlight and appeared at Kakuma's office. She knocked on the door shouting "Umm... you called for me?!" through the door. Lexa waited a couple moments before slowly opening the door and peeking her head in, then fully entering the room. She stepped from the path of the doorway in case something happened and someone needed to enter, but still remained near it. Lexa looked at Kakuma, trying to remember her from the cafe job way back when, but couldn't at all so she did the only thing that she knew to do when meeting someone you didn't know. She grabbed the edges of her black skirt and gave a polite curtsy, saying with a calm, child-like voice "I'm Alexandria. Alexandria Lexicus Grimoire, but you can call me Lexa!" She then rubbed the back of her head while being slightly pigeon toed from embarrassment, "But... I- I guess you... you already knew that..." she said hesitantly, too afraid to ask Kakuma's name.

Irina sat on the rooftop of the Black Rose guild staring up into the sky watching the stars listening to the sounds of the night, this was one of the few times she ever spent to enjoy her own time. As she sat their she attempted to try and better master her Aura which had recently awoken itself, likewise the aura usually burned things regardless of Irina's will and it was quite clear it wasn't under her complete control. The only time Irina had ever used her aura without burning everything around her was when she utilized the seal on her right arm to alter its element to that of wind, in which case everything ended up shredded to bits instead which was even less satisfying. As she closed her eyes to try and draw the aura out it began to take its form as an ethereal silver lion that looked rather tired enveloped her. Her concentration was suddenly broken as she started to hear stirrings from inside the guild sounding like Kakuma. Dispersing her aura she peered over the side of the building to take a look at what was inside to find Kakuma's office. Of all the times that she had looked for Kakuma's office she had never found it and only now did she find out where it was... from the outside. As she listened to the conversation between Kakuma and Ria she overheard that her presence was being requested which made it even more of a suspicious coincidence. Sighing Irina stood off and began to make her way down from the roof to head inside the guild, and hopefully this time she would be able to find Kakuma's office.

Of course her earlier ambition was met with more failure, she never felt so hopeless with directions before, she even had a general idea of where Kakuma's office was and she couldn't figure it out from the inside of the building. It was now that she found Lexa right inside the door which lead to Kakuma's office who like always was introducing herself once again in the usual fashion she always did when meeting someone she had met before. Placing a hand on Lexa's head and ruffling her hair a bit with her hot hand she entered the room. "Introducing yourself again kiddo?" Irina said attempting a moment of emotion only to sound extremely rude, especially when she added in human slang. Yet she didn't realize her lack delicacy as she simply looked up to Kakuma. "I heard you requested my presence." She stated as she lifted her hand from Lexa's head.

A New Ace Empty Re: A New Ace

Ignorance was bliss. That was how the saying went, as it proved to be quite true for everybody, no matter who or what they were. Be they gods, demons, humans, or others, it was one of the few lines that all could agree on. Those three words in that true statement, however, were not completely true for some- the most ignorant of them all. The situation at hand made her wish that she could still be in that category; that of the ignorant. Her guildmates were completely ignorant of what had really happened. Backed up against a wall in an empty hall in the dead of night in the guildhall, Izayuki stood with her arms crossed, gazing steadily at the floor while deep in thought.

She had been unable to sleep the last few nights, and with good reason. The terrors of the night that stirred her dreams were nothing she felt like experiencing after what had happened recently. When she did sleep, it was in light dozes that were not deep or heavy enough to force her into another rush of fear and despair. If she did start to fall slowly into that, instinct jolted her awake, and once again she would hold off on sleep for what was above a substantial amount of time. Frowning as she thought of it, having not slept in a while and too afraid to head to her own room and bed now, fingers reached up for the three-point-crown shaped charm on a thin but strong chain; a simple necklace. Izayuki now understood its use- it was quite fair in a way, but she would never ‘stoop’ to actually activating it. She at least had either the pride or stupidity to linger in her grief and still feel what she could and know her fear rather than to dismiss it so easily and walk forward, blind.

To them, Elyx had simply vanished- gone missing, so to say. She knew better, and yet, how was she to tell them their Ace of Leaves had died? How could she, without potentially breaking down herself and revealing more than what was preferred of truth about herself? Why should she care so much? She had only joined the guild to hide and to find protection. What difference did any of it make? Unfortunately, now, it made all the difference. Ever since she had run into the twins, Alie, Ariel, and Elyx, had joined her team, Kvasir, found her dear little imouto-chan, Azalea, again, and had made so many friends… how could she just take the guild for granted? Why did she have to keep everyone in the dark about everything? To care about it all… it really was annoying. Humanity and emotions could be so cruel and irritating; it was times like these where Izayuki wanted her bare instincts back, and nothing more.

Sighing and continuing to fight back tears and further despair, knowing she would have to present the news at some point before becoming a bystander became a thing of further guilt, Izayuki was almost startled as she heard noise from a few rooms down the hall. She was too scared to fall asleep lest she experience worst of what she had experienced before, but at least she could aim for something productive. Maybe it was time she stopped burdening her secrets by herself. But then again, the last time she had attempted to trust…. It had only placed on her more guilt. Nevertheless, she knew she had to try.

Knowing the noise was undeniably from Kakuma’s office and room, Iza began moving towards that room, easily eyeing Lexa and then Irina in the doorway. Great. A crowd. Just what was needed, right? She could have come at a later time to get the guildmaster alone for her news, but why deny her other two guildmates news that could possibly directly affect them as well? The real struggle would be holding back her emotion and trying to maintain her human form if sadness and grief at saying the ordeal aloud decided to overwhelm her. Either way, her guild was in no position to be subject to the ignorance of Elyx’s demise. Going ahead and walking toward the office-bedroom and her late-night-gathered guildmates, the young mage decided to at least try to be casual at first. Breaking the news right away would not be a good idea in any case or regard. Hearing the beginnings of conversation, Izayuki decided to be silent for once and just make her presence known by walking up, a curious expression on her face as she listened in for a few seconds before speaking. ”Sorry if I’m interrupting something…” she trailed off, slightly embarrassed, which was rare for her and unlike her usual shameless behavior. She had important news though, which was more than a good-enough excuse. Still, she dared not meet anyone's eyes just yet. Luckily, curiosity only killed the cat, not the tanuki. "Er, hi."
