"Why does it seem like these things have gotten weaker.." Cirven sighed as he looked towards three bodies of wyverns with his arms crossed. "Maybe I have gotten used to their instincts a bit too well and they are just completely outclassed." He grinned as he then shrugged at the sight. Ever since he had gotten his new abilities as a God Slayer mage he was more confident. He didn't know if this was because of the new abilities themselves or because of a new mindset he had been given. A sort of god complex where he just naturally felt stronger than others. He didn't want to see it as something like that but he knew it was a possibility, especially with the demon blood coursing through his veins.

He whistled out to call for Zinnath who was hunting for food nearby as she usually did when he trained. She arrived quickly to his side causing some dirt to kick up upon her landing. "Yo Zinny. I'm going to need you to take these to the guildhall for me before we end up losing this extra food to some other predators. You can eat one yourself if you want too." Zinnath excitedly nuzzled her face into Cirven's side causing him to chuckle a little as he pet her. After the sign of affection, she moved to the wyvern corpses and gobbled up one like a snake would. The wyvern's body would quickly break down inside of her body because of how she was mutated so it would not be too much of an issue for her moving around for long. She then managed to get the other two wyverns onto her back with Cirven's help.

He waved to Zinnath as she started to flap her wings to fly up into the air. "Come back after you drop those off. Make sure to put them in a place where they weren't be in the way for others. The usual spot should work." He yelled out at her as she flew off towards the Eclipse Soul guildhall. "Hopefully, they aren't left in one spot for too long. Those start to smell pretty bad..." He shrugged and started to move deeper into the mountains by moving up a trail that lead through the mountains. Before he could get too far though some sort of light started to shine ahead of him. It was weird because it was in the middle of the road and was midday. No one had any reason to use a light of any kind. Even weirder was that there was no one near him from what his heightened senses could pick up on and he could see.

The male had been within the guild for sometime now, and had risen through the ranks into acehood. Yet despite that the two of them had spoken only a few words in passing. Which was rather strange compared to her prior relationship with the prior Aces of Eclipse Soul. She had known the few others, at least well enough to consider them close friends. However, the newest Ace might as well have been an enigma to her. He couldn't have gotten there without having the guild master's trust but Venir was rather skeptical to say the least. After taking care of some assassins within the guild, assassins who were after Alyia's head, Venir was rather worried for the angel. Alyia was the closest thing to family that memoryless blonde had, and the threat of assassins had rattled her. Enough so that it left her sleepless most nights, half worried that there could still be traitors lurking the in the guild. It was only natural that she was worried for Alyia and a little suspicious of the newest Ace. Though it wasn't only worry that filled her veins but another foreign sort of feeling that she almost didn't accept,

    Jealousy

There was a tiny part of her, a small voice in the back of her head that was worried. Small whispers of paranoia that try as she may could not be ignored. "She's replacing you." The young and normally optimistic girl held a frown, was Alyia truly trying to replace her with Cirven? The rational part of her mind told her no but the doubt still lingered like a plague upon her mind. It was strong enough for her to take actions that she normally wouldn't have: Venir had actually taken to tailing after Cirven, just far away enough that she'd avoid detection. She justified her actions by saying that it was for the guild masters safety but that wasn't the whole truth of the matter. She was jealous and worried that he was stealing her friend away. Still, it was rather tough work following after someone especially in her childish form where her legs could only carry her so fast. She had only been following him for a little while, just long enough to see his pet Wyvern gobble up another set of Wyvern's and take off with what it didn't finish. While it wasn't pleasant to Venir it certainly wasn't something that she could bring up to Alyia as proof of his potential treachery.Letting out a tiny sigh she continued after him for a while longer, beginning to think that she might be too paranoid. Suddenly, a bright light shone far from where Venir stood, it was closer to Cirven but she couldn't discern what it was.

"I knew he was up to no good."

He continued to look around the area but didn't pick up on any scents around him that were different from what he could see. He didn't know what was going on but it looked like this light was beckoning him to go to it. He moved closer to it cautiously while keeping his guard up for anything moving around him. The closer he got the more on edge he was about it. Nothing was moving around him or at least close to him. A thought came to him and instead of moving towards the light alone he would do something different.

He grabbed a large rock from near the trail and then threw it at the light. This idea was fairly simplistic and if the light turned out to be something from an ally then he would probably hurt them but it was better than him being surprised by an attack when he got too close to it. The rock flew into the light and then disappeared. "That was unexpected..." He mumbled out a loud. "It's like a portal or something..." He spoke to himself as if someone would respond to him suddenly.

He tried to think of what to do next. It wasn't exactly smart to just walk into the light to see what it was but there wasn't really many options he had. He thought of calling on others to join him in figuring out what the light was but thought against it after not wanting to possibly bring others into trouble with him. He sighed and moved closer to the light until he was just in front of it. "I guess you have to walk into the light at some point..." He chuckled to himself and then lifted his hand to the light and slowly put it into it. There was no pain or anything so it didn't seem like it was going to hurt him in any way. The light lit up brightly blinding him and suddenly pulled him into it.

He fell from around ten feet in the air suddenly but managed to flip his body around and land on the ground. Ground that was somehow made out of a similar light as to the light on the trail earlier but it was solid. He cautiously looked around the area he had landed in and saw structures that were surrounded by the same light. He even noticed people with feathery wings flying around too. "I feel really out of place..." He spoke to no one but himself as he looked around.

Venir kept watch, eyeing over the slayer from a distance. Even from a distance she could tell that even he was rather stumped at the sudden light. His confusion did not stop her from being suspicious though, "He could be acting." She mused and crept closer to get a better look. The light was inviting, as if it wanted both her and Cirven to draw closer to it. The young mage repressed the urge and turned her red eyes away from it. Perhaps not looking at the light would stop her from wanting to go over to it. Instead she focused her crimson stare on her fellow perplexed Ace. He had at first chosen to pick up a rock only further confusing Venir until he had tossed it at the light.

    "A portal!?"

She inwardly gasped, peeking out from her spot behind the tree watching to see if anything came out of the portal. The portal had hardly stirred despite throwing a rock into it. "I should get Alyia." She had just turned to go back to the guild and grab her guild master when she saw Cirven quite literally get sucked into the portal. "Ah!" She shrieked, eyes widening. She stood there for a moment or two, flailing her arms unsure of what to do in this sort of situation. There could be a trap on the other side of the portal! Cirven could be in trouble or he could be the one setting the trap or maybe he was playing a joke on her! Then again if she went and grabbed Alyia for nothing she was sure the angel wouldn't be very happy with her. Glancing back at the distant hall of Eclipse Soul, Venir could only sigh and look back at the light that beckoned her closer. Once it was within arm's reach Venir reached a hand out, her fingertips brushing against the light feeling a slight warmth from it. Apparently, even the slightest touch was enough to activate it, and soon enough Venir found herself getting dragged into the light as well. Only this time the light disappeared once it had sucked the young mage in.

    "Ow!"
She had said it more out of instinct rather than pain. She had hit something that vaguely felt like the earth though it was a bit to squishy to have been the ground. "Why would it just drop me like that? Rude." The platinum blonde girl rubbed at the back of her head slowly opening her red eyes to see her surroundings. Apparently, she hadn't landed on the ground and instead found herself on top of the very person she was spying upon earlier. "E-Eh?" She seemed a bit shocked, and was even more so when she looked around. "D-Did we die and go to heaven!?" She blurted out after spotting the people with the angel like wings, reminding her of Alyia. Would Alyia be able to visit them up here even though they were dead?

He heard a female voice speak out behind him shortly after he landed into the world. "Heaven? That could be a possibility..." His ears twitched suddenly as he remembered the voice and as he remembered he was completely alone in going through the light. "Venir!? Why are you here?!" He spoke out as he turned around to look at her. He did not expect to see anyone he knew inside this world, much less someone follow him inside. "Were you following me..?" He glared at her slightly with his last question. He didn't know what she would say or if it would be a lie or the truth but he knew that her suddenly joining him could make things much harder for him moving around in this world. "There was a reason that I didn't want to get others involved..." He mumbled out loud but stopped as he saw one of the winged creatures moving towards them.

He quickly grabbed Venir by her hand and pulled her around the corner of one of the buildings. "No time! We can't get caught by these things yet because we don't know anything about where we are." He spoke out in a whisper as they got around the corner. He peeked out around the corner while only letting one of his eyes really look out, to see that the winged creature looked like it was a man. It went exactly to where they were just standing and started to look around the area. "That light came from over here.. I will smite these fowl demons!" He spoke out as he summoned a sword made of light and continued looking around the area. Cirven decided to not move from where they were, mostly because they corner they were in now had no exit and was a dead end. The only way out was the way that the winged man had come from. "Crap.. There's a winged guy looking around for demons. Really bad time for me to remember my heritage.." He whispered out loud for Venir to be caught up on what was going on.

The winged man finished looking over the area and started to move towards where they were hiding. Cirven clutched his hand into a fist feeling hopeless and that he only had one choice. "Ven, stay here and don't come out until this is over with. Rather them only get me." With that Cirven ran out from behind his cover and left Venir alone to hide. "Yo. Sorry for hiding like that but I don't know anything about this world and was sucked in through some type of light." The winged man only glared at Cirven after hearing his explanation. He lifted his sword of light and pointed it at Cirven who lifted his hands up to show he meant no malice. "Hey, hey. I am not here to fight you. I'm only wanting to get out of here." Without a word the winged man rushed towards Cirven and swung his blade down in an attempt to cleave him in half. "Damn it!" The winged man's movement and attack came fast and was unexpected from Cirven but he managed to parry it thanks to his arms taking on their metallic form. The sword of light slashed into the ground and sent out a wave of light magic that cut deeper into it as well as a few feet ahead of it. Cirven jumped back from the winged man. "Like I said, I don't want to fight here." Cirven would directly across from Venir now in her spot around the corner.
