"Oh Fudge." [Solo: Roya]

The one-armed mage gradually traversed the streets of Peace village. The moon hung high, illuminating the raven sky and the world around her.  It was silent tonight with the exception of Roya’s wooden sandals against the road.  The mage quickly glanced down at the parchment in her hand, her only hand, squinting through the dark in an attempt to re-read  the text as she continued her stroll:

Mages, I have a task for a rather lose moral individual(s) who do not object the task of thieving. Long story short I need a certain fudge recipe nabbed. The recipe is located within a rather ominous looking building at this address: Peace Village, street 235 Ivory Court. Beside that building you can find my residence, arrive with the recipe and I will compensate you handsomely.

Roya never thought she’d convince herself to do a petite task like this, even if she did need the money. All she could do now was sneak in to this neighboring building, find this highly valued ‘fudge recipe’ and book it out of there to meet up with  this Chef William Dorvald

Roya ended up walking in circles for the longest time, as if she had gotten herself. But alas she found her way into Ivory court. There was a square of buildings… She scanned the perimeter quickly in search for the most ominous one. Her dark green irises stopped on a tall brick building with iron doors and high reaching windows. It certainly stood out from its oak, log, and wood  and generally more cozy looking neighbors. “Heh must be the place.” She grinned to herself, burning the page in her hand as it suddenly erupted in a white fire, crumbling to ashes as the wind swept it away.

 Gingerly, Roya snuck around the back of the structure, clambering up the wall to reach one of the high windows.  The palm of her hand once again ignited in a glowing white flame, one which could have been thousands of degrees hot. She pressed her fingers to the glass pane, watching as it slowly began to melt away until a hole formed large enough to accommodate her buxom body. With that, she made her way inside.

With a quiet ‘Tmph’ she landed on her feet inside, crouching low on the balls of her feet. The Fire mage glanced through the darkness, squinting in an attempt to make out the area, a wasted effort. She snapped her fingers once and a white spark ignited, dancing on the point of her index finger. Its bright spilled a generous amount of white light into the room, successfully revealing its contents to the girl. From what it appeared, Roya had crawled her way into an office of some sort. In the center of the room sat a wooden desk, its surface was littered with papers and folders along with assortments of pens, paperclips, staplers, push pins, tape dispensers, and stamps. Roya pushed herself up, standing at her full height as she investigated the room further. The sound of her wooden sandals clicking was muffled by the thick decorative rug beneath her

Silently, the woman approached the table in the center of the room. She shifted around through the pages and files and organizers until she found one in particular which grabbed her attention. She slid a neatly folded parchment out from the folder. She quickly shut the organizer, setting it back onto the desk. Page in tow Roya backed away and fled into the night through the window she had come…

A short walk later…  She found herself right at her client, William Dorval’s, front door. Roya gave the door a rough array of knocks, standing impatiently.  Just as she moved to hit the door again it swung open. The middle aged man in the door gave her a puzzled look, looking at her missing limb for a moment just as everyone did. In exchange Roya waved the folded piece of paper between her fingers. Willam seemed to gasp, eyes beaming at the slip with awe. Without a word he ripped the parchment from her hands, unfolding it and scanning the contents of the page with his own eyes:

A stack of paper bills was shoved into Roya’s hands, the mage blinking absently. The chef quickly disappeared back into his home, slamming the door right on Royas face.

“Tsk…” She grunted to herself, eyes narrowing. Roya turned away bitterly, walking off as redness flushed to her face. “Damned people...” She cursed angrily “Like id let you get away with treating me that way.” She shoved the jewels into the waistband of her skirt to free her hand for a moment. Roya pressed her fingers together and gave a quick, sudden...

'Snap'

And with the action, The home behind her was enveloped in an explosion of silver flames.  The scream within was drowned out by the roaring of fire. Roya did not look back but merely continued to walk away from the scene, reward in tow. Another job well-done…

Where would she go nex?t… Who may she cross paths with?… What did fate have in store for the pyro? Not even God knew...
