    Job Title: Shadow of Below
    Rank: B
Player Requirements: At least One B-Rank wizard. Max of 6 wizards.400 words per post.20 posts per person.A passport for all involved.
    Job Requirements:
Job Location: Enca and it's territorial waters
    Job Description:
Five separate Fang patrol ships have gone missing in the same area of the East Ocean over the last two months. When spotted and searched each ship was completely devoid of life and not a single body was to be found. That was until the last ship to go missing drifted into one of our patrols about the same time it would have normally reported in, five days after it was last sighted leaving Enca, and was found to have two survivors aboard. The tale the two young survivors told was as grisly as it had been hard to believe to begin with.

The first night into their five day patrol of the southern borders a strange fog had blown in from the west that had made the captain very nervous concerning the stories that had started to fly around about the other ships coming back without their crew after a tour of the area. Extra crews and lights were ordered aloft and the watch on deck was doubled and issued arms. Just after midnight when the new watch climbed out of their hammocks to take over their positions they found the deck littered with unused weapons but otherwise completely empty. Alarm bells had been rung and the entirety of the remaining crew had been roused to search the ship from top to bottom. Their search turned up no leads and few theories short of twelve sound minded men and women who had years of sailing experience and no small amount of magical knowledge all deciding to go for a swim in the dark at the same time. As the second day had dawned with the fog persisting stronger then ever and no wind to speak of the captain had ordered for the oars to be put out and turned the ship to return home as fast as possible given the circumstances.

As the second night came around an eerily beautiful female voice was heard sadly singing by those aboard. This is when according to the survivors things went all to hell. Most of the crew dropped whatever it was they had been doing without a thought, calmly walked to the sides of the ship in unison, and jumped overboard into the deep. Some of those still aboard realized the nature of the song and were smart enough to plug their ears before the call could get it's hooks into them. But in the end that was just as futile. As the song rolled over the ship and found no takers, a second wave of evil arrived to assault it. Barnacle ridden skeletons swarmed the main deck,  grabbing most of the few remaining sailors and pulling them into the water to join their comrades. The two survivors that were found only lived because they hid in a very hard to reach section of the ship's chain locker and didn't emerge until help found them, weak and malnourished.

The leader of the Fangs of Enca has posted this bill in the hopes that the intervention of foreign mages in addition to his own will be able to find out what is bringing harm to his people before things escalate to the point where it cannot be handled and deal with it permanently. As such any foreign mage that participates in this joint endeavor if it is found successful will be granted the title of "Fang Elite" and given the special swim training that is normally reserved for our sacred warriors in addition to the standard reward granted.

    Enemies:
    Weak:
Barnacle Skeletons x5:These dirty barnacle encrusted skeletons carry no weapons and wear whatever they had on at the time of their death. They attack in one of two ways; either clawing at their targets(C Rank damage per hit)or by grabbing their targets with the great strength possessed by this form of undead and leaping into the waves.(Dealing B-Rank damage per post with the combined damage from being crushed and drowned. Those able to breathe underwater only take half damage from this attack.)Each skeleton takes one B-Rank worth of damage to defeat and is 50% resistant to water based attacks and spells.
    Normal:
Calling Song:This alluring siren song calls out to those who have at one point or another in their life experienced death, eventually driving the listener insane with the need to fall into the waves of death's embrace. The effect is at first very subtle(1-3 rolls)manifesting as a sudden feeling of apathy. It then quickly turns to something darker as the listener starts to lose their sense of self.(4-7 rolls) If listened to any further the effects of the madness can be permanent. Blocking one's ears completely makes the effects require 50% more normal monsters to be rolled to work at the same level of power. Deaf characters are not effected.
    Strong:
Corrupted Mega Shark x2:These rotting zombified sharks are nearly thirty feet long apiece and weigh over six thousand pounds. As with most undead creatures they are simpleminded and will attack in the most straight forward manner possible, going at you head first with a set of jagged razer sharp jaws spanning about five feet around. Bites from one of these bad boys deals a full B-Rank worth of damage and may cause sickness. Each shark takes three B-Ranks worth of damage to defeat and are 75% resistant to water based attacks and spells.
    Boss:
Shadow of Irkalla:Irkalla herself was once the goddess of both the oceans and the underworld but due to the interference of her husband Nergal, lost her dominance over the seas to a younger generation of gods. At the moment of her casting into the underworld that would serve as both post and prison for the rest of eternity, Irkalla broke free a small fragment of herself and let it fall on the seabed where her betrayal had taken place. The Shadow as the fragment is now known is an incredibly adept user of a strange form of magic that merges death and water based spells. She is very intelligent and has a great deal of experience in dealing with both regular folk and wizards in combat and out. Her main means of combat is by using thin streams of death empowered water whips that act as both an amazingly dexterous shield and an extendable razer sharp set of blades that can extend out to fifty feet in length. Attacks made from whips deal B-Rank damage apiece and can be combo'ed together to do seriously large amounts of damage. When used as a shield the whips can cut and deflect ordinary matter with ease and will block up to three B-Rank attacks or spells before coming apart and needing to be resummoned. The Shadow is both tough and agile, requiring six B-Ranks worth of damage to be sent packing.(Note:This is not killing her merely causing her to flee for the moment.)
    Reward:
15k jewels,"Fang" status, Sacred Swim Training, (Allows anyone taught who is not of Enca to swim at the speed they standardly run.)and if the boss was defeated "The pearl of Irkalla" (Key item that lets you take the next part of this quest.)
