Shohei had been wearing his usual do on this chilly, sunny afternoon. He was headed back to his manor. A small bag of candies was hanging over his shoulder, in his hand's grasp. A pocky stick in his mouth and his dark, pitch black hair messy as usual. He could feel a chilly breeze sweep against his cheeks. He wasn't sure what he was going to do today. A lot had happened in the past few days. And he wasn't too excited for anything that was going to happen either. He really just wanted to relax in his hot spring, or perhaps train his titans... he hadn't done either of those two in awhile. He was eager. "I can't tell if joining this guild was a good thing or bad thing. Because a little of both have been happening ever since." He grumbled. Every time he decided to go around the guild hall, he managed to get himself in some situation. Last time grabbing a kid for Zoe, a mission with two dumbos, and working his butt off for a pocket full of jewels. He was satisfied with the last part though. Making money would never get old but jobs did take a little longer then usual. "Yeah, after I rest up I might have to get some help for my next request. These bags of jewels don't seem to come easy, do they?" He chuckled.

He really didn't feel very different ever since he joined Lamia Scale. He always kept to himself and only went to the Guild Hall looking for work. Well... one of the main reasons he was even here, in the guild was because Master Zuo mentioned that they had work. Being Guildless sometimes made it difficult to cooperate with others and to find work that you could do by yourself. He managed to get this far without anyone's help, and he didn't want to think that he had to start depending on others just yet. He had always been alone, even as a kid. All he had was Zan and his titans. Zan was offered several different jobs to serve nobles of different lands. He even got an opportunity to keep serving his parents, but even if he was in his twenties, and was offered tons of money, he stuck with Shohei and took care of him. He was the only one he really enjoyed having around. And he was one of the only people he really trusted. He wans't sure what to think about Guilds. If they were worth his time or not. But the thought came and went just like that. "A dip in my hot springs and then some actual food will do. A small meal actually, it's not like anyone will be dining with me." He sighed.

Suiren being all depressed, missing her adoptive mom Hikari (who was/is a giant woman).
She sat silently on the bench of an isolated street in Hargeon, head knelt toward the cobblestone ground in an action of gloom. Suiren was dressed in the same outfit she could usually be seen in. Light pink cardigan, black tights and a loose shirt and skirt that were in the shades of blue. Her bold red glasses were slightly crooked on her nose, making her seem a bit giddy as she gripped at her stomach in hunger. So far she hadn't eaten a thing since using up all her jewels on the train ride to Hargeon, and wasn't quite sure how to collect the courage and enter the Guild-Hall again. Since she had joined just a few hours ago, it was now sufficient that she as a mage should take up a job. That was one way to earn jewels and experience. Something she needed.

Although that wasn't going to happen in just a few hours. Her agitation and painful hunger was to much of a hassle to bear for a quick job. In addition to that, she couldn't even consider stepping into the Guild-Hall at it's busiest hour. Suiren sighed, teary eyed as she continued to watch her feet sway lightly against the cobblestone ground, suitcase full of belongs seated by the bench. Along with having no food, she was also homeless with the fact all the rooms in the Guild had been taken already. It seemed that despite her reaching the place she had been determined to reach for what felt like an eternity, it came with a terrible price. Hikari... What would you do? Suiren wondered with a sad expression, a few strands of her strawberry blonde locks slipping past the corner of her ears to cover the sides of her face.

Taraki had gotten bored once again of being cooped up inside the shining hall that was the headquarters of Lamia Scale and had hence decided to go on a long walk. Yawning like a sleepy dog, the mage made his leisurely way through the town of Hargeon. Scratching his bird's nest of hair, the wizard passed through a dark alleyway in his fur-lined clothes of the same shade. Bored out of his mind, the young man spotted a pink-clad girl that he seemed to recognise from somewhere. Curious, the lad kept to the shadows, his wolven instinct kicking in and helping the lunar mage observe the girl without being noticed.

In the couple of seconds he was hidden for, Tar saw a small, pear-shaped drop of water fall to the ground with a small 'plink'. Anyone else - at least any normal human - wouldn't have seen or heard its decent. For a moment, the boy stood there, dressed in his dark jeans and coat covering the white T-shirt he wore. Decided, the young man hastily made it look as though he had just emerged from the alley. "Hey there. A-Are you okay? Why are you crying?" he asked gingerly and kindly. He approached and smiled, noticeably large than average in what was meant to be kind but turned out to be quite wolfish.

Post by Guest 1st February 2015, 3:50 pm

Enola’s morning was miserable at best:

“Mr. Agni! Please! I have the rent!”

“You have this month’s rent!? What about the last two months’ rent!?”

    “Well…”

“That’s what I thought!” Mr. Agni started throwing more of Enola’s possession out of the second story window – her backup housemaid uniform, her books, her beauty products, and even her undergarments. She – watching helplessly from the street – ran up and down the sidewalk, trying to catch all her stuff as it rained down from her old apartment.

“Can I at least have something to carry all this?”

A suitcase came hurdling out of the window and barely missed Enola’s head, kicking up dust as it smacked the ground.

    “Thanks…”

The early noon wasn’t much better. She had to walk all the way down to the Lamia Scale guildhall just to be told the unfortunate news that all their rooms were taken. With that option gone, she backtracked to the outskirts of town in search of her old mentor's house. She was certain Ms. Kieva could give her a place to stay.

    Knock! Knock!

“Who is it!?” A muffled voice escaped through the door.

    “It’s me, Enola!”

    “Go away!”

    That was certainly unexpected

    “What’d you mean ‘Go away!?’”

“I’m having friendly company come over soon! I don’t need you cramping my style.”

Clueless as to what that meant, Enola parted ways with the old house like a lost puppy. She hoped the rest of her day would have something better to offer.

Utilizing her magic, she found her way to the rooftops of Hargeon Town and sat down cross-legged. The view always gave her the relaxation she craved. She could see the wishing waves far off in the distance, boats pulling to and from the docks. It reminded her of her old home in Liscio Cove.

    Home…

Enola was stuck in a rut. She joined Lamia Scale with the intention of getting stronger, with the intention of amassing companions, and especially with the intention of taking her home back. None of those things had been achieved: she was weak, alone, and miles away from Liscio Cove. She wasn’t accustomed to doing things alone. There was always someone there for her: a parent, her teacher, or even her old bandit buddies; most of them were gone now though. Either dead or in prison. Her lip was bleeding; apparently, she'd been biting it without realizing.

She produced a white handkerchief from her pocket and wiped her lip, smearing it red with blood.

    ...I miss home.

Her handkerchief went back into its pocket and she rose up.

    “Hmm?”

There seemed to be lone man on the street below her. He had a small bag around his shoulder – it was candy! Enola’s frown immediately inversed into a smile at the thought of candy. It too, like the waves of Hargeon Town, reminded her of home. Whenever her day went sour, her father used to give her pieces of candy; for her, candy was more than a simple food item. It was a tiny beacon to which she could draw comfort. She fiddled her gloved fingers, debating herself as to whether it’d be rude to ask for a handful of sweets. He was alone, so he could certainly use someone to share with; then again, maybe he was taking it home to someone. She ran a finger over her chin in deep though until…

    "Taraki?"

Enola twisted her head to the other side of the road to see one of her guild mates: Taraki Meyka, one of those present at the guild hall when she first joined Lamia Scale. He was approaching some woman on a bench, though Enola couldn't quite recognize her. She leaned in forward, hoping to get a better view, but accidentally kicked her suitcase.

It went tumbling down off the rooftop toward the street below.

Shohei walked up the cobblestone road before seeing three people. Three people standing there, blocking the road. Shohei smacked his lips in sass and irritation before opening his mouth to speak, but no words came out. A brown haired boy stood among the group of people, one he had recognized from the day before. He never actually got his name but his face wasn't something you could really forget. One girl, who was crying, and another who was dressed up like a maid. She had to be cosplaying. No one really walks around like that in broad daylight as a usual thing. But now that he was thinking about it, they all looked a bit weird. The crying girl really didn't say anything from what Shohei could hear, the brown haired boy came out from nowhere, and the maid  had a suitcase full of god knows what. They were quite the funky group. But enough with those observations, Shohei mustered up the motivation to say something. "HEY! You three, don't block the road dammit!" He exclaimed. He walked up toward the group with the bag of goodies swung over his back with his hand. He frowned at the three and tapped his foot, glancing at the brown haired boy and especially the maid. They all looked a lot weirder up close. It wasn't like he hasn't seen a made before but not... a maid walking around like this.

He stood there, his foot tapping, and his eyes shooting cold glares at them that could kill. "There are other people that aren't having the little reunion you guys are and are actually trying to go somewhere." He scolded. His glare turned into more of a what-are-you-doing-exactly, worried yet questionable expression. He wasn't exactly in the mood for insulting. More in the mood for going home. "Be wise and go home or something. You guys can have your little reunion at home or something." He shrugged. He shot glances at two people in particular. The maid and the brown haired boy. Both were the weirdest of everyone here. The boy smelled like... something unfamiliar and the maid didn't seem to have a fragrance.

Suiren afraid of you all (ू˃̣̣̣̣̣̣︿˂̣̣̣̣̣̣ ू)
A voice? She swore she heard somebody call out to her asking her if she was alright. But, that couldn't be right. This was a quiet, cobblestone street, totally isolated from ever coming across human interaction. Wrong. Hesitantly peering up still teary eyed, her gaze met another, causing Suiren to stare for a few seconds before her face paled. He seemed friendly, but she was to frightened to open her mouth, especially since a random suitcase tumbled from the rooftops and onto the ground aside from them with a very loud smack. She felt like she was about to faint, feeling the presence of at least two more individuals approaching or at least heading in the direction she currently was settled in. Her body began to quake violently, yet she didn't move; glancing away timidly. "U-U-U-Um-!" just as she was mustering up the courage to speak, a loud and rather irked voice broke through the silence of the street, causing a small 'eep!' to loom from her mouth.

Whoever this guy was, he was truly frightening. He looked so upset with just the presence of them before him that his gaze ablazed into one that could kill. Suiren's breath got caught in her throat, and she swiftly shifted to the back of the bench, hiding and shaking furiously with her bag of belongings held tightly in her arms. She thought her day couldn't get any worse, now that she was surrounded by a group of strangers, and one that didn't seemed to be having a good time himself. Aside from them all being rather odd, she did sense that they were not out to harm. Suiren sealed her eyes shut, leaning against the back of the bench from the ground and tightly urging her knees against her chest. "...Home..." she mumbled softly, sad for a brief moment again. Even though her previous home was just one giant room, locked away from the world forever, she somehow wished it could've stayed that way. If she hadn't wished to see the outside, she wouldn't of been separated from Hikari. That was the only time she felt she was safe... in that dull ancient place.

Post by Rintaro 2nd February 2015, 1:19 pm

(OOC I'll improve this I'm just putting this out here as not to slow the posting. Feel free to post. )

Taraki met the eyes of this young lady, trying to convey positive feelings to her. At first, he thought it was working and then she started trembling. 'Well, you've ballsed that one up haven't you!' he mentally scolded himself even as the unidentified flying suitcase sped towards him.

With a tremendous 'THWUMP' the container smacked into the stone cobbles mere feet from him, causing the mage to look up in fright. 'That HURT' he almost shouted, shaking his head as the boy's ears rang horribly. One of the many downsides of heightened senses. Upon his skyward glance, he saw straight up Enola's skirt and instantly dropped his gaze to the floor as though nothing had happened - although it was obvious.

All of this had happened in a moment, a few seconds after a familiar voice resonated down the alley - "HEY! You three, don't block the road dammit!". He knew that voice. If you listen hard enough, one could realise every voice has a unique signature of pitches and ranges. It appeared the sweet boy from yesterday had returned. Bitchy as ever.

"You're the kiddie wrangler from yesterday, yeah? Didn't think I'd see you this soon." Waving a hand at the girl upon the bench he continued "I was just checking all was alright here." Pointing upwards, the lunar mage trailed off - "Seems some people are feeling a little lost."

Call it weird but Tar actually had a healthy dose of empathy inside him, which probably drove him to see if the pink lady was okay. Most people don't carry a full suitcase around with them either, so it wasn't a leap to cast the two females in a wandering light. 'Though..' Taraki pondered 'Not my sort of wandering'

Enola tensed up as her suitcase traveled down below. There was little she could do aside from praying that her suitcase didn’t hit anyone in its landing. Thump! It landed rather loudly on the cobblestone pavement, leaving those on the street unscathed. It certainly startled Taraki who reacted with the speed of an animal. Enola responded with an embarrassed yet sorrowful expression, though ignorant of Taraki’s up-skirt view.

Eager to apologize for the inconvenience, Enola dropped down from the rooftop, which was short enough that she landed without much more than a minor stumble. Upon gaining her balance, she approached the bench frantically and snatched her suitcase from the ground.

“Apologies, Taraki! And apologies…!” Enola meant to apologize to the pink-haired girl, but her terrified state had caught Enola by surprise, sparking a distinct sense of guilt in her gut.

As if the girl wasn’t startled enough, the lone man with a bag of candy had shuffled over to the trio and gave them quite a nasty tongue lashing. He gave the general advice that they go home, a word that only kicked Enola’s psych. The agitation evident in his voice convinced her it was good a thing she hadn't approached him for candy. Although, humorously, Taraki retorted the man and then commented on their suitcases.

Kiddie Wrangler? I wonder what that means...

Before Enola could muster up yet another “sorry,” an “eep” had come out of the pink-haired girl. With her body curled up on the bench, she looked absolutely distraught, as if she’d seen a monster. Enola had never seen someone in such a vulnerable state the girl’s. The whole thing brought about an air of pity as Enola produced her most gentle smile – one absent of both irritation and judgment. She took a seat next to the girl, laying her suitcase to the side.

"Dear, what''s the matter?" She leaned in as non-threateningly as she could, hoping she wouldn't give the girl an outright heart attack. The word "home" could faintly be heard from the girl's quivering mouth.

Enola blinked, "Home?" She gazed down at the girl's bag and reflected on what Taraki said. The obviousness was much more apparent.

"Oh my, you're in the same boat as me aren't you? Homeless, right?" A  light chuckle escaped her mouth with the idea in mind that it would ease up the tension. She turned her head over to the "Kiddie Wrangler" and received an epiphany: food always helped with anxiety.

Her gaze was redirected back toward the pink haired girl, "Would you like something to eat? Mr. Kiddie Wrangler, here would be happy to share with you." She turned back to him, eyed the clear bag on his shoulders and asked, "Right?" It was after all, the least he could do for upsetting the girl.

Post by DOPPO 5th February 2015, 5:28 am

(OOC: Rinny, this is taking place after our last social with Zoe. So Shohei already knows your name.)

Shohei raised a brow at Taraki. He certainly wasn't impressed by everyone's appearance. He turned his body to face Taraki before poking his chest with the tip of his index finger. "And you are the guy who shamelessly let that female beast let the kid get away with it. And you gave me your name too.. uhm.. what was it? I believe it was along the lines of "wild dumby"." He jokingly said with a small shrugged, pulling his hand away from him afterwards. But he shot glances back at the made and the one who was tearful. He couldn't help but be surprised. He had always lived in a manor and couldn't imagine living elsewhere. Was he being arrogant and a bit spoiled? He never thought about it like that. His parents abandoned him for money, business trips, and affairs with men and women. And all he was left with was their manor and Zan. He was at such a young age so he grew so attached to the "good life". Shohei was curious on what happened to these two, excluding Taraki since he knew someone wh suddenly appears out from an alley can't have a great house. Shohei sighed and faced the two. "Homeless? You're all homeless? Now you got me feeling bad for you..." He shook his head, not trying to be sarcastic.

As much as Shohei hated people in general, he couldn't help but pity them for their own problems. His situation as a kid was worse from the sounds of their situations and never wanted to experience it again. He tilted his head at the three of them and grumbled, regretting for what he was going to do. "Oh everyone shut up and follow me. I'll buy you all something to eat. So stop complaining!" He blushed in embarrassment. He never did this to anyone out of pity. So he was anxious and hesitant to offer it to them. How could he say no to a helpless, homeless crybaby, a creepy cosplayer and a man who appears out of nowhere? (How Shohei sees it..) But Shohei didn't have time to waste, he needed to get back to Zan soon after he fed these poor souls. Poor souls.

Shohei took the hanging bag from his shoulder and stuck his hand into before pulling out a chocolate bar, bag of chips, and cookies in a plastic container. He held them out to the group, "Take one and follow me." He sighed with a I-am-not-impressed face. "And if you don't accept then you'll starve to death, alone, out here... surrounded by people. Maybe some kind of janitor will stop by and drag your corpse elsewhere." He half joked with a menacing smirk.

Suiren being all depressed, missing her adoptive mom Hikari (who was/is a giant woman).
She felt the bench shift as a figure sat beside her, body stiffening up at the impending distance between the woman and herself. Of course, the maid dressed woman seemed quite friendly as she smiled down at Suiren, who peered up at her with a nervous expression. She was just relieved that the few people that had approached were rather kind. Well... Most of them. There was a menacing aura looming from the stranger who had clamoured out to them for "blocking" the street, still setting her nerves off as she embraced her bag even firmer than before. So much chatter was going on, and it seemed the young man who stalked out of the alley before knew this seemingly irked raven-haired youth.

"H-H-Huh?" it seemed the stranger had taken a sudden turn of courtesy, her eyes extending and the timid expression that painted her face clearing away for a brief moment. He was going to buy them food? Surely she was just hearing things, there was no way that could be true. But, as he extended out a hand which softly held a container full of food, her stomach let out a loud growl and the heat aroused into her face with embarrassment. Tears began to form into the corner of her eyes, and her lower lips trembled as she comically grew emotional from this kind gesture, bowing her head continuously in "thanks". Although the timid and familiar trait of her's abruptly dropped back into reality at the raven-haired youth's last line, hands trembling greatly as she took the container into her lap. She wasn't sure what to choose as the lid popped open and the sight of food came into her view. Since it seemed rather blunt of her to take one of the three items first, she hesitantly peered up at the chocolate-haired youth and the woman in the maid get-up. "P-P-P-Pick!" she stuttered, nervously facing her lap as she held out the container to them both.

Both Enola’s eyes and her ears were shrouded by a thick layer of naivety:  she failed to detect even a hint of arrogance in the Kiddie Wrangler’s voice. When he announced that he felt bad for them all, she came under the idea that he was a much more empathetic individual than her initial impression would have her believe. When he offered – or demanded – to buy them something, Enola almost thought him to be a living saint. It was, after all, the first kind gesture she’d received since becoming homeless. For one moment, she could forget about losing her apartment, finding no asylum at Lamia Scale, and being practically rejected by her old teacher. He was like a gleaming lighthouse directing her gaze in this little storm.

A small container found its way into the pink-haired girl’s lap, a container which might as well have been a treasure chest filled with gold. When the lip popped open, she held it up for Enola, whose eyes were immediately drawn to the chocolate bar – sweet, sweet chocolate! Chocolate was not just candy, it was the candy. It could cure broken hearts, beaten bodies, and dying souls. Truly, it was the alpha of sweets. Despite this, Enola kept her cool (if you can call her demeanor “cool.”) and casually plucked the candy bar from the container. The wrapping was dark gold in color and tucked in a piece of paper with the brand name imprinted on it. Her gloved finger gently unwrapped the silver cover as if she were disarming a bomb, and when the bar was bare, she placed a tiny corner of the chocolate between her teeth.

    Crunch!

Though she took just a nibble-sized bite, it was a taste she would savor for the rest of the day, replaying it for as long as she pleased. As it melted in her mouth, waves of pleasure went through her and her eyes shut in relaxation for roughly several second until she came back to her senses.

She wrapped the chocolate bar back up in the silver paper and placed it into her pocket to enjoy later (and failing to consider that it might melt). Enola brushed her lap in case a crumb had fallen on her and raised herself up, grabbing her suitcase as she got up. Her face gleamed at the generous man as if he had been entirely gentle with his words and inquired, “Right then, where are we going, Mr. Kiddie Wrangler?” Evidently, she was still rather ignorant that his name wasn’t Kiddie Wrangler.

Her face lit up when she realized she’d shirked her courteous introduction. “Oh! I’m being terribly unkind! My name is Miss Enola Gay.” She bowed her head slightly in the Kiddie Wrangler’s direction, her eyes twinkling with delight as she raised her head back up. "It's my pleasure to meet you, all of you."

She spoke in the formal yes merry tone she'd become so accustomed to speaking.

Shohei raised a brow in surprise. Enola was surely a weird one. He wasn't used to see someone in such extravagant clothing walk around so casually. Except Zan. Zan was an exception. Shohei awkwardly rubbed the nape of his neck while glancing at the three. He was about to head home anyways. And a home as big as his, three people coming to visit shouldn't matter. Except when his titans see them, if at all. Shohei's gazed fixed onto Enola as he followed it up with a shrug. "Shohei Kirisagi. That's my name. And once we head to our destination, I feel as if formalities won't matter, you weirdos." He said with a straight face. Shohei was generally unkind and blunt to everyone, which was something he was unashamed of.

Shohei turned around he walked down the road, headed toward his mansion. Knowing how big his mansion was, he figured he should get more butlers soon. Zan did have some brothers who had no jobs. Shohe got lost in thought for a second before snapping back into reality and turning back, staring at the small group of people. "I should probably warn you that once you enter this specific residence, you will be confronted by a perverse old man. I suggest you bring some pepper spray or something innocent women bring to protect themselves." Shohei joked. Half joked. Part of that was true. Zan was a man hungry for love. Shohei had a crooked, wicked smirk on his face. As if he was recalling something... disturbing.
