A Wild Dragon Slayer Appeared! (Open)

"Luuuuuck!" rang out Blue's voice, both of his hands cupped around his mouth to make it carry farther. The boy was garbed in an indigo vest, simple in design. Shorts adorned his legs, stopping just above his knees as a pair of basic straw sandals covered the bottoms of his feet. At a glance one was able to tell that the lad didn't come from money, or that if he did, he didn't spend any of it on clothing! They weren't exactly rags, but the threads he had on were far from nice. The boy called out once again as he walked through the streets of Magnolia Town, much to the same effect. Who was he looking for, you ask? Why his cat of course! Unfortunately, he seemed to be MIA at the moment. "Probably went to go snack on some fish." he thought aloud, shrugging it off. He wasn't too worried. Lucky wasn't exactly your run-of-the-mill feline...so he could handle himself.


Still, today was a big day for Blue and he was hoping he'd have his best buddy with him to share in the moment. But he'd find his way back to him eventually, so he figured he might as well go ahead and get started. His straw sandals clacked steadily along the pavement as he walked, coming to halt as he arrived at his destination. Blue's eyes drifted upwards, his mouth falling open a little out of sheer awe. Here it was, in all its grandeur. Here he was! After all this traveling...all of his hardship...he was finally here. "Fairy Tail..." was all he uttered to himself as a big grin overcame his face. He was getting chills! It was every bit as amazing as people said it was. And this was just the outside of the Guild Hall! All he had to do was walk in, introduce himself, and ask kindly for a place among the Mages of-

BOOM!

"Yo!" shouted the brash young lad after kicking open the Hall's front doors. Blue never was very subtle... "Who runs this place? I'm here to join up!" And to the aspiring Mage's surprise...he got almost no reaction. The Guild Hall was full of clamoring people, and Blue was immediately drawn to the energy of the place. But the most he got were a few stares before people went on about their business. Either these guys were used to big entrances, or they just didn't care. Of course it was the former...but Blue didn't know that! A vein bulged in the boy's forehead. Was it because he was short?! It had to be! He stomped around, flailing around anime tantrum-style. "STOP IGNORING ME, DAMNIT!" Hopefully an already affiliated Mage would come along to help him in the process. Otherwise? He might be here awhile...

Hearing the commotion in the guildhall Nightken went to the stair rail to see what was going on and saw some one making a scene. Hopping from the third floor down to the first he landed with a loud thud. Standing up from his crouched landing position he walked towards the person making all the noise. "I don't care if you're here to join the guild just show some self respect. I mean seriously I've seen children with more patience." Nightken said to him before getting to the introduction. "I'm Nightken the guild master next time I suggest you showing some patience." He introduced himself.

While Blue was focused on flailing about angrily, someone of importance dropped down from the ceiling somewhere or something. I dunno. He approached Blue and made some offhand comments about the boy's temperament. While the guy probably didn't mean to offend, Blue heard nothing but offense! The young boy's head seemed to grow several times its normal size as he spun around and addressed this unknown person angrily.


The short young Mage stared up at the much taller one, a look of confusion on his face. "Eh?" Blue arched an eyebrow as he relaxed and stood up to his full height, (which was only 4'10, mind you...) and began eyeing Nightken with curiosity. "You're the Guild Master?" There was no way. Or...maybe there was? For whatever reason, Blue was under the impression that a Guild Master had to be an old, super-powerful guy. The boy could clearly feel the man's strong Magical Power...but something didn't sit right. He just didn't have that mature wizened look, ya know? "Ya just look like a regular guy." His facial expression when spoke was neutral, showing that the kid wasn't insulting him or anything. Just being blunt, like usual. He was just about to open his mouth to speak when the guy advised him about patience. Blue smirked, his pointed canines visible for the Guild Master to see. "Psh, patience is for geezers. If everyone was patient all the time nothin' would ever get done." He did have a slight, misguided point. He'd never been patient. Likely never would be. And from what he'd heard, Fairy Tail was a Guild where you never needed patience! Or self-respect for that manner...

Just who was this guy?!

Blue narrowed his eyes on Nightken, tilting his head back and forth to try and get a read on the guy. "You sure you're the Guild Master?" With all this talk of patience and boring stuff, he was giving off more of a Magic Council type of vibe. Luckily (for himself), Blue didn't really pry too much more. "Ah, who cares! Anyways, I'm here to join." The aspiring young Mage let out a sly laugh as he smashed his fist into an open palm. "When do I start, Master guy?"

Seeing the look on his face when Nightken mentioned he is guild master was rather clear. "I take it you were expecting an old man with a long grey beard? Unfortunately guilds aren't all ran by old people it sometimes gets handed to younger people to run the place, but you seem like you'll fit in just fine." Looking at the kid all that energy reminded him of Heero when he first joined the guild. "you remind me of one of my friends when he joined the guild. He had pretty much the same enthusiasm you're showing on joining." He said to him before he realized something. "I almost forgot who are you since you haven't introduced yourself yet." Nightken asked.

Blue was busy taking in the grandiosity of the Guild Hall when Nightken responded again, asking if the brash young Mage was planning on finding a geezer as Fairy Tail's head honcho. He placed a balled up fist on his hip and smirked his usual smirk as he replied. "Exactly what I expected, actually." Ken added something about the young sometimes being given the responsibility of running a Guild, but Blue's attention was ripped away from the conversation (rather easily, I might add...) by something he hadn't seen in a long, LONG time. Right there, in front of him, was an affiliated female Mage. Blonde...buxom...all the right junk in all the right places. Just a hottie, y'know? But more important was what she was holding. In one of her hands...for all to see...

Was a platter of piled high, steaming hot food.

Pork, and steaks, and lots and lots of rice. His eyes lit up like stars and in an instant he was gone from his previous position, a cloud of dust being kicked up in his wake. The female Mage was startled by Blue, only noticing him after she accidentally smothered his face with her chest and, "Kyaa!"'d back a few steps. Upon seeing the short, skinny, drooling young Mage whose eyes were gleaming like gemstones, she got her own little sweatdrop moment all to herself. "Err..." the woman began, but before she could get anything else out, the boy asked the golden question. He pointed upwards at the food...but because of his height, all she saw was some boy gesturing at her torso. "Are...those...free?" Her face immediately flushed and her heart rate quickened a bit. "W-what?!" The nerve of this kid! The gall! It was...different. He was so forward! And kind of cute, too. Maybe if he were a bit older- yes! That was it! She'd just wait a few years for her chance to strike. At this thought, the female Mage nodded shyly, holding her face with her free hand. "Thanks, lady." came Blue's gratitude as he walked clear under her arm (he was short enough, after all) and lifted both hands above his head, lifting the tray from her grasp and jogging over to a nearby table to set it down. Without even blinking he tore into the food, seemingly forgetting about the existence of forks and knives.

And BOY could he eat!

He shoveled food into his face at an alarming rate, like someone who had never eaten before. Which wasn't entirely wrong when it came to the kid. He honestly couldn't recall the last time he had a decent meal. Until now! Funny thing is? This was probably someone else's food, but the brash young Mage didn't really care. He was starved. While he ate, Nightken spoke once more, telling the boy that he reminded him of an old friend. Blue did his best to smile with a mouthful of food, not stopping his intake but instead choosing to talk at the same time. "Yo-uh fhrung muhsd be pruhdy koo!(Your friend must be pretty cool!)" Which of course he was only saying because...well...another him had to be awesome! He then took a big bowl of rice in both of his hands, put it to his mouth, and turned it upside-down. This kid's stomach was the stuff of legends! The female Mage watched in awe as Blue devoured the food, finally piecing together the fact that he was after her food...not just her. And between his carnivorous rampage, he managed to find time to listen to the Guild Master, who reminded the lad that he had yet to properly introduce himself. Blue was sorta careless, see? Didn't pay too much attention to social norms or manners or any of that crap. Probably because he was oh...I dunno...raised by a dragon? He swallowed a steak seemingly whole, taking in a huge breath afterwards. He'd been eating so fast that he forgot how to inhale for a minute there! His usual cocky smirk was present on his face as he turned his gaze towards Nightken, jabbing a thumb towards himself while he did so. "Name's Blue S. Coldsummer. Don't forget it!" He grabbed a porkchop with his left hand, and was about to stuff his face with it when he remembered something. "Oh, yeah...I got a friend who wants to join too. He ran off somewhere...but he should be here soon." Lucky was really late now...but he had to be okay. Probably just getting a LOT of fish. Yeah. That had to be it. Blue swallowed another mouthful of food before casually shifting his gaze towards the female Mage. "Oi. Got anything to drink?" She was stunned.

...literally. She couldn't move out of shock at how candid this kid was. It was another talent of his, really.

"Aaaaaah..." was the only sound he spare breath to make, and that was only because he was opening his mouth to chow down on another steak! But just as the mannerless young lad brought the food to his mouth, something very interesting caught his eye...

A girl. With red hair. Floating towards him.

Instantly Blue dropped the steak onto the table, dumbfounded by this occurrence. "Woah..." The word echoed in his head. Who was she? A Fairy? Not like a soon-to-be fellow Guildie, but a real Fairy. He didn't even know they had those! She didn't look that old either...but then, neither did his father and he had a few hundred years under his belt. Well whatever she was, the flying part was cool. And quite visibly, the lad's face flushed a bit when he noticed her. "Red..." that part he said out loud. Couldn't help himself. He liked her hair. And she was cute!

Luckily, he was snapped out of his stupor as the mysterious Fairy girl asked him about his food. "Order?" he repeated, eyes still on her hair. Okay...so maybe he wasn't FULLY out of his stupor. But after a while it sunk in, and the boy shook his head, almost immediately reverting back to his normal self. "Uh-uh, check this out!" Blue turned around in his seat and hopped down from it, letting out a sly, "Gihi...~" as he ran towards another roving waitress, weaving around some fighting Guild members with relative ease. One particular tussle ended up on the ground in front of the poor waitress, both stopping her movement AND distracting her. It was showtime!

Almost as if he'd been doing this for years, Blue used his height disadvantage to walk underneath her tray, lift his arms, and nab the platter of food. Though he'd certainly never admit he was short, it sure did have its perks!  A mischievous grin was on his face the entire time, and while the woman was still busy watching the 'altercation' unfold, the crafty young Dragon Slayer made his way back over to the still-hovering Ebony and the Guild Master. The first waitress watched disdainfully, still fumed about earlier. "It's like an art form for the kid..." It might as well have been! Triumphantly, the boy dropped the platter next to his own. He was quite pleased with himself. And after the Fairy lady introduced herself and mentioned never seeing him around before, he closed his eyes and jabbed a thumb towards himself afterwards. "Fairy Tail's tallest Mage, at your service!" A proud, smug smirk was painfully apparent on his face all the while. The height might not've matched up to his self-proclaimed title, but the ego certainly did. "But, Blue...~" came a high-pitched voice from behind him, stopping his bragging as soon as he heard it. "...you're not tall at all."

This? This was WAR!

Immediately the boy spun around, his head swelling up as a vein throbbed in his forehead. The culprit? Blue's lifelong friend and partner-in-crime, Lucky. Who also happened to be a mostly-black...talking cat. "Yo!~" He smiled and waved. Blue picked up his Exceed partner by his face, stretching his cheeks as he vented. "SHRIMP, HUH?! I'LL SHOW YOU WHAT A SHRIMP CAN DO!" Lucky didn't really seem to mind much and reacted casually. Living with Blue meant living with his hyper-sensitivity over his height. It was tiring sometimes... "Noohbudy cawhled yoou a shriimp, Bloo." But the brash young Mage wasn't having any of it. He only stopped divvying out retribution to Lucky when something occurred to him. "Oh, yeah." He turned towards Nightken, presenting Lucky's stretched face to the Guild Master. "This is that friend I was talkin' about." The Exceed did his best to smile and wave. "Yo, I'm Lucky! Let me join, too!~" What's that? Manners? Ha! Blue was raised by the King of the Frost Dragons, who had no use for things such as 'etiquette', and Lucky grew up with Blue. These guys were two peas in a pod.

After introducing him to Fairy Tail's Master, Lucky wriggled out of his partner's grasp and climbed onto the table. "Wah! They got food here, Blue?!" Lucky was astounded. Blue nodded and grinned at his friend. "Yeah, buddy. Know what the best part is?" Two big, round eyes filled with hope looked up at his Dragon Slayer companion. "It's all free!" Tears of sheer joy streamed down the Exceed's face as he clapped his paws together. "Itadakimasu!" And with that? He tore into Blue's plate almost as fiercely as the lad had himself! The boy smiled a warm smile at his friend, completely unlike the cocky smirk he wore only a few minutes earlier. He reached a hand out and placed it atop the Exceed's head, Lucky not paying much mind and instead focusing on filling his stomach. Blue wasn't always so stubborn and arrogant and childish...just...most of the time. But speaking of food, he hadn't had anywhere near close to his fill yet! So he grabbed the steak he dropped earlier off the table and turned his gaze to the female Mage who was still floating nearby. "C'mon, Ebony, eat with us!" He was still smiling as he  dropped the steak into his mouth. Lucky finally took a breath and looked up to see who Blue was talking to. And when he did? "Wooooooah!~" His mouth dropped open. "A fairy?!" Blue downed another bowl of rice, a few pieces sticking around his mouth. "You think so too?"

Fairy Tail...these two were gonna fit in just fine around here!
