Scare Away Those Thugs! (Karina and Katherine)

Katherine was excited to finally see the ocean for the first time since her last visit a couple centuries ago. The gentle ocean breeze hitting her face as she walked down the streets with Karina at her side. It was a pity that they were here on a job, but that did not mean they could not spend a day afterwards to enjoy the scenery and the beach. It was going to be a fairly long job, so Katherine booked a hotel room for 2 people with an ocean view. Katherine was humming happily as she walked down the street. Looking at every ware that she could find and stopping to many shops on the way. This place was going to be so much fun when it was over and decided that when everything was done, that she would go shopping for a swimsuit.

Katherine was going to ask if Karina wanted to join her, but realized that she could just make her own swimsuit and most clothes for that matter. So this caused Kat to think what they should do, it was clear that seafood would eventually be in order. However she asked, "So what do you want to do while here? We are getting a whole day to ourselves after job is done. I personally have not gotten to a beach for the longest time." Katherine was practically humming with joy for a bit, but there was just one nagging thing about her. Where was all the people? Some shops were closed, little to no people were out in the streets and there was that feeling that they were being watched by people. Katherine could occasionally see one or 2 people, but they looked scared. Something put them in a state of fear and it wasn't the angel and the half demon. They haven't done anything yet! Katherine commented, "I have seen more livelihood in a funeral than this. Somebody is keeping these people in a state of fear. Typical way to control people. It would seem the shakedown is not only to this restaurant, but to the whole district.

The sun beat down on the pavement where Karina walked alongside Katherine, her whole body was warm and sweaty- not used to being exposed to the sun like this. Depending on the position of the sun it would either have a negative affect or positive affect on Karina's mood, this is because the sun can either strengthen or demolish shadows which were the source of Karina's magic. Unfortunately today Karina didn't feel as happy as she normally did and therefore was not skipping next to Katherine but instead walking a few steps behind moodily.
She was not upset or anything, merely bored by everything around her, this was a phase she went through whenever she was exposed to extreme amounts of heat and sunlight. Also due to her clothes being made from shadows they became slightly transparent, however this didn't bother Karina as she assumed things like that were acceptable.
The heat made Karina get all hot and bothered so she decided to stop walking for a moment and remove some of the items of her clothing by simply pulling them off of the other shadows then throwing them away into the air to dissolve. Within minutes she had pulled her long dress apart and fashioned a black bikini adorned with a large bow in the middle of her chest.
"I am fine doing anything, although it would be nice to mess about on the beach later on when the sunsets," Karina felt a little bit better now that she wasn't so warm, she caught up to Katherine and weaved her arm around her arm so that they were linked together. Karina also noticed, just like Katherine had said, the area was very quiet and had an strange aura to it. Unlike Katherine, Karina had not been aware of the handful of people they had seen and the feeling that they were scared.
Karina sighed and lifted her arms up to tie her loose hair into a quick messy bun with the shadow ribbon she had just produced. What's going on in here? She thought as she looked at the buildings around her, who was controlling these peoples lives? Would they be easy do defeat? Then she remembered everything's easy with Katherine.

Katherine turned around to look at a closed shop and pouted slightly. It looked like it had beautiful trinkets and glass work that she could buy. Darn, but then that is what they were here for. They needed to stop this part of Hargeon from being bullied from out of their shops. This was ridiculous, even grocery stores were closing so she could not get something to munch on. Katherine sighed as she turned around to say, "This is very... AH!" Katherine immediately saw Karina was already stripped into a bikini and immediately had a nosebleed. Was Karina just teasing her now or was it that she wasn't aware that it was wrong. Either way this was causing her to eye Karina and her devilishly cute form. It was a body free from any scars, blemishes or any imperfections. The demon blood that coursed in her veins made her appear as a perfect human specimen. Katherine admired Karina's body for a couple of minutes, but looked away in slight embarrassment to herself. She sighed, but smiled. Two could play that game girl!

Katherine said, "Well since we are dressing for the occasion.~" Katherine then unzipped her front zipper of her jacket slowly. She then let it drop to the grounds. Kicking off he boots, she slowly took of her socks and went straight to work on her pants. She unbuttoned and revved the zipper and let it drop to the ground. She was not stripping naked however, because she wore her bikini underneath all of it. She stretched out slightly before continuing, "Ah much better and more appropriate for the occasion. Wouldn't you agree?~" She the placed all her items inside the bag she was carrying for the night. She then hugged Karina gently, letting the mix of their energies flow between them again. Katherine said, "Sorry, I forgot all about your dislike of the sun and light. Would you rather we enjoy the beach at night time? I think we could finish our job by the sunset." Locking their arms, they proceeded to their destination, looking like a pair of beach girls getting something to eat.

"K-K-K-Katherine! What are you doing!" Karina immediately began to blush as Katherine started to take her clothes off to reveal a bikini underneath. She looked around frantically for any people looking, obviously there was no one to be seen for they were all in the safety of their own homes "Y-You cant do that in public! People might think you are taking all of your clothes off, and then what if they see you're from Eclipse Soul and-and then they get a bad impression of the guild and th-then they spread rumors and then the rumors spread and then we don't get any jobs at the guild and then the guild shuts down and then everyone loses their home- Karina was silenced by Katherine's hug, as their energies collided her worries were instantly vanquished.
As they continued to walk down the various streets, getting closer to their job and probably a battle all the time. "Katherine," Karina had previously been lost in thought as they walked but she realized that now would be a good time to discuss their plan of action, "Do you have any ideas as to what we might encounter? And what we will need to do on this job?" Karina had completely recovered from the earlier situation and was now feeling very 'business-like' as she discussed their job, being on a job usually helped her to forget all of her troubles. And in battle all Karina has to do is focus on her opponents, not anyone else, not anything else. Simple.
As she waited for Katherine's response she watched a small bird peck the ground a few meters away from the path where they walked. Even though the world was filled with threats to this small bird, it carried on pecking at the ground like it didnt have a single care in the world. That must be great Karina thought and sighed pure innocence, the equivalent of perfect freedom. With that, nothing will ever stop you in life... Her thoughts drifted back to her father and the family she had left behind to fulfill her dreams.

Katherine laughed aloud at Karina's freakout, for once the demon girl was freaking out over an antic and using the guilds reputation as an attempt to hide her own personal embarrassment. It was actually cute to see a demon get flustered for once. Katherine just happily said, "Well dear I don't think it is much different than using shadow to turn that dress into a bikini. Yours just have a bit more flair to it dear. Besides this is a beach, stripping to a bikini is pretty common around here. Besides I think a Rune Knight would just stand there and watch the show of 2 beautiful woman in bikinis rather than arresting us. Hard to beat human nature dear.~" Katherine walked just a bit further until the next question was given to her, the angel stopped for a brief second. She watched the bird as well and pondered about its freedom and lack of worry despite the darkness around them. She watched the bird as she said, "I think that I am going to apply violence. Love, mercy and forgiveness is good, but one needs to make them do so or have them realize. And it's much harder to do when surrounded by big fish, so knocking a few senses in them and fear tactics will work quite well."

Katherine finally entered the empty restaurant with Karina at tow. She held Karina's hand like if they were a couple and seated at the empty bar. Picking up Karina and placing the demon on her lap. It was cute and Katherine winked at the store owner as she simply waited and ordered off the menu. Not even bothering to tell the man that they were the ones that answered his cry for help. She wanted to see how bad it was.

"I like to have the seafood special please. Karina what would you like?~"
