Fitting

"Alright... that should do it..." mused the silver-haired mage as he stepped back to look at his creation. Stood on the mannequin before him was a set of dark purple, almost black plate armour, highlighted with golden filigree style patterns. There was a blood crimson leather outfit that went with it to be worn under the armour. "Lacrima laylines seem to be stable... storage device appears functional... everything should work." Za'cha said as he walked around the armour, checking it here and there for even the slightest flaw and finding none.

Pride and Tessa looked on as their host/Wielder inspected his creation. "He always does this?" she asked of the Dark Celestial Spirit. "Indeed he does. He will not accept even the smallest problem component in his craft. As well he shouldn't when creating powerful magical armour such as this." he answered the Spirit of Weapon of Death. Za'cha slowly nodded to himself. "Alright, it's ready." he said. "NAKIYA! You can come in now! I know you're lurking there, or your familiar is!" called out the silver-haired dark mage.

"I was not lurking, I was walking by"
The Dark Celestial Spirit mage stated as she pushed the door open and stepped inside at her companions behest. In truth she had been lurking around the room, the armor gave off a very distinct magical aura to her... something that drew her in which was odd as it wasn't Celestial in nature. She knew he had been planning on building he something, but she didn't know what, and she was hoping to get a sneak peak during it's creation.

'Ouuu you make Magical armor? Pride says it'll be perfect.'
Kuro stated telegraphically to all those int he room as he leaped off of Nakiya's shoulders and b lind it for the armor that stood on the mannequin. He made his way underneath the leathr and pawed up at it as if testing the armor out.

"Of course you were." Za'cha chuckled at Nakiya's denial before he watched the feline-like demon familiar pawing the leather portions of the armour. "Whilst Kuro plays with the leather, I'd best explain what exactly this armour does." he said, gesturing towards the central portion of the breast-plate. "Now, see here?" the silver-haired mage asked, indicating a small slot. "This is where you place whichever Key you want to use the powers of." he said, a small smirk on his face. "And yes, I did say and mean any Key. Any Key that is in your possession and you have a contract with, whether it be Black or Bronze, you can use the powers of. You can personally use Pegasus' flight as your own, or delve into Wrath's Shadows. Or even use Leo's own Darkened Regulus powers... or even the Black Dragon King Zargan's abilities if you were so inclined." the Ex-Quip mage explained, allowing Nakiya to inspect the work for herself.

"There is a slight catch though. The only way I've been able to get it to work in such a fashion is via transmuting Celestial magic into the Lacrima streams throughout the metal... in laymen's terms, you're essentially Summoning the Spirit into the armour in a manner of speaking. They won't be conscious at all during the process... but it does mean it will still strain your ability to summon multiple Spirits." Za'cha explained with a frown as if he was displeased himself with this short-fall in the armour's design.

"There's another thing... just as you gain that Spirit's powers and strengths... you also get their weaknesses. For example, if you were to use Wrath's power via this armour... you'd wind up having the same disabilities as she has." the silver-haired mage said as he rubbed the back of his neck. "Not exactly an ideal situation, but given that the Aegis I use with Pride requires certain... conditions to take place to unleash his own power... well, personally I'd rather not wind up with another Tower scenario where your own biology's automatic defence system kicks in." he shrugged before giving a brief cough as he went on.

"However, it does have some nice upsides to it. For example, even when not using a Spirit's power, it will increase your own natural and unnatural endurance levels, as well as pretty much stop short any form of magic that can be classed as B-Rank or below... although two B-Ranked strikes will put it out of commission for a brief moment of time." Za'cha admitted. "And the best part of it all..." he said, tapping a finger on the metal alloy, at which point runes briefly flared into life all across the metallic surfaces. "Nobody can dismiss the Spiritual power you choose to empower yourself with, except for yourself... or the usual amount of time the Spirit can last before going back home."

"Thanks for the easy version because I didn't get any of that. So then what are we sitting here chatting about it for? Should I be field testing this thing?"
She asked eagerly, moving up to more thoroughly scan the armor and shoo Kuro away from the leather in the event that his claws would damage it. She was really eager to try it on, but silently nervous as hell at the same time. She didn't like feeling confined to anything, or in anything... she had always avoided armor up until this point for that exact reason.


"What if it breaks while I have a spirit inside? What happens then?"
She wondered lowly. Would her spirit simply go back to the CS world, or would it destroy her key?

Za'cha smiled as Nakiya seemed to be very pleased with his creation. "You can try it on right now if you want. I do have one question though before you start trying to put on each piece individually." he said, tracing a finger down the backplate of the armour. "What's your favourite piece of jewelry? Necklace, ring, bracelet? Or even a diadem?" the Ex-Quip mage asked of the Dark Celestial Summoner. Once she had given her answer, he'd tap the armour, and it would then glow with a dark light before bursting apart in a cloud of magical motes, then reforming itself into the object of her desire.

"Much easier to carry around, and far less obtrusive. With this on your person, you simply need to will it, and the armour will fit itself onto you. And then simply will it again, and it will revert back to this form." Za'cha explained as he offered it to her.

He considered her question concerning about it breaking and what would happen. "Well, if it should happen to break, then it would just revert back to its storage form... the jewelry. If you had a Spirit installed at the time... I believe they'd simply return, admittedly forcibly, back to the Celestial Realm, and the Key would drop..." he said before rubbing his chin in thought.

"If you want, I could fix it so that the Key in question would return to your keyring should such an event arises." Za'cha offered her.

"I've never really worn jewelry..."
Nakiya stated softly as sh brought her finger up to her lips as she thought about it. The only thing she wore really was the leather strap around her leg that housed her spirits, and the same leather around her neck that held Zargan's key.

"Maybe, an armband... or a bracelet..."
She stated as she watched Za'cha tap the back of the armor and it constricted into the form of a large bracelet. Sh was actually extremely impressed with her companions creation, and took the bracelet when it was offered to her, snapping it around her right wrist and bringing it up to eye level to get a better look at it.

"The key falling is fine, I'll just be sure to pick it right up again... now... how to you activate this thing? I want to try it out."

Za'cha shrugs at her question on how to activate the armour. "That part I've left up to you. Right about now it should have bonded with your own magical energy, now its just a matter of getting it to... connect so to speak." he said, tapping his skull. "There are many ways to call on an armour to take form. Either the name of the armour being spoken aloud or in your head, in the same way that most Requip and Ex-Quip mages like myself do is one way." Za'cha said, as he began to lean against his room's wall. "I'll leave the naming of the armour to you of course. I may have created it, but its you who will be giving it "life" as it were." the Dark Mage said.

"Another way is to simply visualise yourself in the armour. Picture yourself wearing it, and make it so. Imagine it, and it will happen." he suggested. "Then there are some armours that require really long chants to activate. I find the latter to be a tad overdone in that regard... although if you find someone doing that method, expect whatever they've got to be old, and powerful." the silver-haired mage warned her.

"Do whatever feels right for you, right now, right in this moment... I've even known some mages to call on their weapons and armour, simply by yelling or screaming to trigger their activation. Or even something as simple as a snap of your fingers." chuckled Za'cha as he watched Nakiya. "The path to choose, is yours. All you need do, is unleash the power that lies asleep within it. Ignite it with your magic, and call upon its power."
