Name: Delvic Grimm
Gender: Male
Age: 9
Birthday: 08/01
Sexuality: Straight
Special Characteristics: The young boys body is covered in scars, each acting as a time marker for his three years in captivity.
General Appearance
Height: 3'7"
Weight: 42lbs.
Hair: Ginger
Eyes: Blue
Skin Tone: Light
Appearance: Delvic is very self-conscious about his appearance, and as such usually sticks to long sleeve baggy clothing. He doesn't really have a set wardrobe going more with whatever he has on the floor at that point, but he usually is in some form of hoodie.
Personality:
Delvic woke in a cold sweat, the quiet room immediately becoming eerie. He looked about him fear poring from his eyes. He touched the scars across his exposed arms and chest. The scars explained it all. Delvic is a shattered remnant of a child, broken through torture and loss, he is usually withdraw or sullen, preferring to distract himself rather than to engage with people. Delvic is an avid reader, finding it to be his personal get away, he is often found reading books outside of combat. Delvic is overly cautious when meeting new people terrified of loss and betrayal, he is usually more respondent to women however than males, taking to them like a chick to a mother hen. When he is at his ease, and with friends he is often seen smiling and laughing. Delvic is truly a scared little kid underneath his isolation he is still just trying to hide from his past and act as if he's all grown up. He doesn't talk about what happened to him and shuts down when people start asking questions. He actually suffers severe separation anxiety since the death of his family, as well as his own near death experience, has left him feeling exposed and weak when he is left alone. His night terrors don't help any either, causing the child to have an acute sense of paranoia. He barely sleeps by himself going for two or three days before resting usually on some stair case or side ally, where he just finally crashes.
The forest was silent mist covering the trees, as the men slipped hidden through the veil of fog. Creeping like wolves they saw a small figure appear from within the darkness. They closed in all around, and Delvic grinned from the trees. He had them now. Del is the tactician using magic to better plan out and trick his opponents. Nine times out of ten Delvic doesn't get involved in the actual fighting preferring to be behind the scenes. The one and only time Delvic will put himself in harms way is to fulfill his vendetta against the Dark Guilds. His obsession on the topic leads him to make rash and often life threatening decisions. He is a capable fighter in theory, but lacks the physical strength to do any actual damage to his always larger opponents. He doesn't take orders well, usually dancing to the beat of his own drum. He tends to take action on his own rather than wait for someone else to call the shots. He leads a lot like he follows orders however, moving his own pieces on an imaginary board, and refusing to communicate, he seems to simply expect everyone to know his plan and follow it. His child like arrogance usually gets him into trouble since he never really knows when to quit. Taking a second in command role truly suits his talents best allowing him to move pieces, but forcing him to communicate with everyone around him.
Likes:
-Books: Thou he can't remember most of his early childhood, the one and only good memory he holds dear is that of lying with his mother, as her voice echoed through her favorite works of "Kemu Zaleon."
-Magical Objects: Be it armor, weapon, or plain item, Delvic watched as his captors used their "toys" to inflict endless pain upon him and others. This has instilled a sense of power and horrifying wonder within the boy in connection to such items.
-Sweets: Growing up Del lived in a small town, his father acted as governor, but his mothers family owned a small bakery, and although he cannot remember it, the smell of freshly baked cookies or cakes helps bring his mind some peace.
Dislikes:
-Dark Wizards: This would be better put as a hatred rather than a dislike, having been tortured by a group of such wizards during his three years of imprisonment. He has vowed to destroy as many of them as he can, and the best way to do that, is to target their Guilds.
-Pain: Not for himself, but for others. He was made to watch torture and cruelty, and this taught him compassion, when he sees others put down or made to feel helpless he becomes very angry and lashes out at the ones responsible.
-Stairs: For reasons I will not state Delvic is uncomfortable around stair, and goes to rather large extents to avoid using them if he can. "Damn stairs!"-Delvic Grimm
Motivations:
-Vengeance: For three years Delvic was held captive for blackmail against his family, in that time he was tortured, abused, raped, and forced to watch acts of horror so miserable that he has nightmares of them even now, all he wants is to make anyone who would do such things pay... dearly!
-Power: Delvic is insecure, he has spent most of his memory being some plaything to others. He cannot stand the feelings of weakness and inability to act, as such he lashes out at anyone when he is in that state. He has come to falsely believe that gaining more power is the best way to overcome his own weakness.
-Maturity: Del doesn't think of himself as a child anymore, robbed of his innocence he now struggles futilely to become an adult ahead of his time. He wants to be able to take care of himself, and most of the time cannot stand being looked down upon or protected. (Which in his mind are the same things.)
Fears:
-Isolation: Delvic suffers constant night terrors, and memories of his three years of captivity. As such he cannot stand to be by himself preferring somewhere noisy to his own bed, he is a constant patron of local taverns and showrooms. Anything to keep the nightmares away.
-Failure: Del is driven by his need for vengeance, as such he cannot accept even the thought of giving up or letting his target escape him. He is obsessed and as such would rather kill himself trying than to admit his defeat.
-Loss: Del was made to watch as his family was tortured and killed when they ceased to be useful to the ends of the Dark Wizards. As such he cannot stand the concept of getting close to real people, because then he has something to lose.
