    Mission:

    Zhu looked down to the two boys he was now stuck with for a whole day. Zhu really hated children it wasn’t the fact that they were children they couldn’t help that. It was the fact that they were so miss-behaved now that it was almost impossible to tolerate them for any amount of time in the history of his life. Still he was assigned the task and he would get it done. His task was to take these two boys out and make sure they had fun. The only conditions were they couldn’t be broken when returned, and they had to be returned or there was no money for him.

    These conditions were perfectly agreeable, but there was one catch. These children were twins and they didn’t want to stay still if they weren’t being amused. This was too much for the warrior. Well Warrior turned into a court Jester.

    As the trio walked into the amusement park the first child Zach tried to already make a run for it. Zhu was faster still however and he snatched the boy up by his neck and held him steady “You will wait for your brother and I or I will tie you up and drag you around the park.” The boy stood still, but he didn’t seem to buy this because he knew that Zhu was being paid and had rules. The reason being because their mother Alice was stupid and told them as much, hurting Zhu in the process.

    Zhu took the time and looked at Chris and then back at Zach “Alright boys the three of us are going to go and ride rides together. So Zach you pick out the first ride we go on, and then it will be your turn Chris. We shall proceed like that all day. Okay?” the two boys nodded their heads in agreement.

    Zhu let Zach go and the three of them made their way to the ride that he wanted to go on. The ride he picked was called “Plumet.” Essentially it was a ride you sit down in a chair you’re strapped in it climbs slowly and then drops you until it just catches you again and it repeats this kind of process. Zhu wasn’t a fan of rides like this, but he reminded himself that he was on a job and his honor as a warrior depended on his success as well as the good name of Lamia Scale. He waited until both of the boys were strapped in before he took the seat next to them and he himself was strapped into the seat. As the ride lifted them up into the air he could see Chris start to get nervous, and when the ride dropped them both boys let out a scream of fear, and delight.

    While the boys screamed and hollered having fun and a bit of fright Zhu just sat there rather annoyed. He didn’t understand the point of amusement parks as a fun time in his mind was training with weapons or sharpening them, or even making them. Still he was doing as he was bid and that was all that truly mattered to him at this point.

    When the ride finished he made sure that the attendant unstrapped him first. This was a smart decision on his part because the moment that Zach was unstrapped he tried to run off to another ride. Sadly for him he didn’t have the time to get started running as Zhu snatched him up under his arm carrying him like that. While Chris picked out the next ride and Zhu held his hand as they walked to it with Zach kicking under Zhu’s left arm trying to get away.

    The ride they arrived at was a very unusual ride. It was a ride that the children sat in seats and are strapped into. Then the ride lifts up and spins them around in a great circle at a good speed. Zhu wasn’t about to get on this ride. He had a thing about circles and high speeds. He still held onto the twins and helped the man working the ride strap them in. When they were strapped in Zhu got on the other side of the fence and watched as the ride started up and began to spin the twins around.

    Zhu couldn’t watch the ride it was starting to make him dizzy and this would not be good. He needed to be right as rain for when those boys got off the ride. He heard the ride stop and he instantly looked back to see if the boys had gotten off. Much to his lack of surprise the boys were out and rushing to the exit gate already.

    Zhu groaned as he rushed to that side of the fence, but he was just a hair second too slow. The kids were already out and running. Zhu growled as he summoned up Soul Reaver. He was finally within striking range and he threw the handle out towards Zach. It did just what he wanted and wrapped around the boy’s torso with a good tug Zhu pulled Zach back kicking and screaming.

    His brother tried to untie the chain, but it was to no avail. Instead he got close enough that Zhu could snatch the boy up and he looked at them both “I’ve had just about enough of the both of you.” The boys were amazed and terrified by the weapon Zhu was holding. Chris looked up at Zhu “Mister what’s behind that patch on your head?” This question gave Zhu a giant smile “I’ll tell you what if you two promise to behave the rest of the day when your mother comes to get you I’ll let you see under it. Sounds like a deal?”

    Both of the boys nodded and from then on the trio all walked around the park and enjoyed the rides. At the end of the day the boys and Zhu waited out front of the park. They looked up at Zhu with anticipation in their eyes and Zhu smiled kneeling down “Alright, but this is your desire.” He moved the eye patch and they saw his empty eye socket with the slashing scar running over the socket. Both boys took an involuntary step back, but were happy as clams. As Zhu put it back their mother came and took them as she paid Zhu.

    Zhu took the jewels smiling and then left them behind with nothing short of great relief that they were gone. He completed his mission, didn’t kill the kids, made Lamia Scale look good, and got paid some good jewels. He wasn’t about to take another job like this however and he swore up and down to that.
