The Hunter (Chikane/Lance/Rita)

Lance, Of all the people on the universe, Managed to stick the landing. Rita gave a sour look as  he took note of her recklessness and helped her back up. "L-Leader? Lance, Don't get derisive now!" Rita growled, agitated and eye twitching. Unfortunately, Lea beat her too smacking Lance.

Chikane had followed them down, switching to her flame body in the process, probably for the sake of seeing where she was going down here. Rita sighed. As much klutz as Rita was, they still were turning for her for directions on this job. Looked like she had a choice to make, Which path? There were about eight options. Rita quickly looked over the paths, something hit her. These tunnels were not natural but they were man-made, It appeared that a mixture of explosives and digging created each of these pathways.

The sound of a single explosion could be heard, echoing off of the cavern walls. "That sounded close, I have the feeling if we head towards it we will run into more of them." Rita claimed before quickly running down a tunnel to the left, hoping her comrades decided to follow.


The passage seemed never ending, Rita had been running down it three minutes straight. Although something quickly changed, Indicating that they were getting closer. The path ahead of her was now inhabited by a vast amount of smoke, a familiar scent came to her: burning ash and rock dust. Defiantly the scent of a spent explosive.

The smoke didn't clear as soon as she would hope, There was no where for it to go in a passageway like this. The pass ahead of her was nearly impossible to see, Her eyes were only suited for navigating dark environments. The only thing she could make out in the smoke were three silhouettes appearing to be armed with firearms.

'Monster Dice' :

Lance started at Chikane as she gave him and Lea a Glance. Lance understood what it meant and he nodded silently but with determination as he noticed that Rita had taken off running. He smirked and shook his head "Always running into the action..." he muttered as he himself grabbed Lea's arm and ran off after Rita and the explosions.

When they got there all he saw was smoke and three silhouettes. He found it really hard to see and it pissed him off. He scowled and out his arm in front of Lea protectively "Lea stay behind me... Things might get a bit dirty..." he said with a growl and a sort of evil smirk. He glowed a feint black now as he got ready to attack. He had to hold back however because as much as he wanted to, he couldn't kill them because he would get in trouble.

Although he could only see the silhouettes he closed his eyes and focused before muttering a single word "Perish..." he said softly but it was loud enough for the enemies to get surprised and take a step back. The smoke was a bit more cleared now as Lance opened his eyes with clenched fists "Shadow claws!" he yelled as he jumped forward and successfully jabbed the three guys in the stomach with the claws. When Lance got back he smirked a bit and stood beside Lea who looked at him curiously "Dad, They don't look harmed at all..." she muttered as Lance chuckled and shook his head "Look closely Lea, They are poisoned now..." he said with a laugh as they all pointed their guns at him and shot a few bullets. Lance easily dodged most of them by making his chest into a shadow and have them fly right through them. Although on of the bullets hit his leg "Again guys?" he said as his leg was bleeding now.

"So they are even down here...Could that mean that we are on the right track?" Rita thought while Lance ran right into the action, leaving Lea in the masters hands again. Chikane stuck to the sidelines just as she had done before. She could probably wipe all of these grunts out without batting an eye. The thought made Rita cringe, she wished that she could some how fight like that too.

This smoke was troublesome, Rita wasn't paying attention and had already lost sight off the enemy and all of her comrades. Her eyes narrowed as she scanned the smoke for anything funny. Rita felt something closing in on her from behind. Rita had to meet Noriko's expectations if she wanted to succeed. Letting the enemy get the jump on her was a bad way to start. Rita was in her element here, This tunnel was the very definition of dark at the current point and time. An ideal environment for the shadow mage. A couple revolver rounds were shot at her from behind, She avoided the bullets when she appeared to of gotten sucked up into the ground, the only trace being the shadow she had left behind. That shadow snuck up behind the dumbfound gunmen.

A hand engulfed in a menacing darkness dug its way out off the earth where the shadow spot stood and pulled the rest of its body up in its wake. The shadow known as Rita stood behind her prey. She appeared as nothing more than a silhouette, giving off a menacing dark smog in this form. Rita prepared a kick for her opponents torso. Quickly sliding to the side she snapped a heavy kick that dug into the targets rib cage. The familiar sound of gunfire was heard coming from her right. She dropped to the floor, avoiding more damage. Taking advantage of her position, Rita swept the gunmen's legs out from under him, ultimately knocking him down.  The dark essence and smog faded off of Rita, Returning her former appearance as she quickly made it back to her feet. The Fairy put her foot down on his chest to hold him down as she stomped on the downed opponents hand, causing the the grunt's firearm to slip out of his grasp. Rita fetched the revolver and claimed it as her own and aimed it down towards him, her eyes narrowed in distaste.

Boom.   Boom.

Rita used his own weapon to deliver two shots to his knees, one bullet for each. As  a result he began to wail in pain Rita quieted him down with another kick to the chest and stepped off, she examined her surroundings and spotted another shape lurking in the smoke. The same figure that had attempted to shoot at her again moments ago. Rita pointed the revolver in that direction and prepared herself.

Lance heard Rita attacking and continued to do the same. The smoke and the commotion must have alerted more people because sooner or later the room was filled with A LOT more shadows. He huffed under his breath "I cant see good right now... if I attack I may hit Rita but if I dont attack then I could cause Rita to get hurt..." he thought to himself and then he smiled at his idea "Chikane! You have any spells or items that could get rid of this smoke?" he asked as he saw a male shadow approaching him with a gun pointed at him. Lance stepped forward and thrust out his fist and jabbed the guy in the stomach then while the guy was holding the wound Lance took this time to deliver a push kick to the guys chest to send him to the ground wear he would punch him in the face a few times.

Lance started to find it hard to breath inside of the smoke and the shadows so he closed his eyes and let a female voice play through his head "Kill them! Kill them all!" the voice said as it laughed and Lance let out a smirk as he clenched his fists and started to become anger as a small black aura appeared around him which was soon joined by a red aura making a mix with the black. "You know what I really hate?" Lance asked the people as small little black wisps of shadows started to fly around Lance as his eyes were still closed "I hate it when people mess with the people I want to protect..." he kept going as he opened his eyes to reveal his left one red while his other stayed yellow. Lance gave a evil smirk "and you know what I do to people who make me mad?" he asked, cocking his head to the side and his voice now more demonic as small little shadows in the shape of horns formed on the top of his head "I end them..." he muttered as he slowly moved forward laughing a little "Dont worry though... I wont hurt you that much..." he said with a evil laugh as Lea scooted closer to Chikane "Thats not Lance..." she told her as she squeezed Chikanes arm.

She was right Lance was trapped inside a dark void and being held by ropes and the arms of other people who had succumbed to the darkness.

Chikane was snapped back into reality when Lea squeezed her arm. When the girl pointed out that Lance had been acting out of character, the flame mage sighed and pat the little girl on the head. “Don’t worry. I’ll snap him out of it. All of these people nowadays and having some sort of dark side. Gotta really make him work on that.” Chikane noticed her flame body had gone out, and that there were more people around than beforehand. Two problems that she would soon rectify. The guild master popped her neck, aimed her body towards Lance, and showcased just how fast she could be by brutally kicking one of the men out of the way. He flew and most likely had been knocked out by the sheer power alone, also hitting a group of his friends down with him. Chikane didn’t mind however and simply walked over towards, and then punched Lance square in the jaw.

“Stop acting all crazy. It’s not what Fairy Tail mages do.” Ducking two gunshots, Chikane dashed over to two of the males and crashed their skulls together, knocking both out instantaneously. She then jumped up and dive kicked another hunter into a group of his friends, before slamming her foot hard into one last one’s face. The flame mage cracked a smile, before rapidly pulling out her large buster blade and deflecting a few crystal arrows out of her way.

“So you’re the boss? You don’t look like it much. Maybe a little makeover could help that.” Cocky and snarky, Chikane managed to piss the gemstone hunter off enough for him to charge at her with a crystal waraxe. The Fairy Tail guild master chuckled and engaged him in a dance of blades, showing off a bit as she easily outmaneuvered and worked circles around him. There was no question who was going to eventually win this fight, but that didn’t mean Chikane couldn’t have a bit of fun.

No, it didn’t mean that at all.

The smoke seemed to of cleared out on its own, reduced to a haze. Chikane had engaged in a fight herself and it didn't surprise Rita that she was holding up just fine. As for Lance he would have to snap himself out of it without her help this time, Rita was a bit caught up herself. She found herself in a little bit of a predicament. She was surrounded by four of them, all of them pointed their guns at her. It was only a matter of seconds before they all would pull the trigger......and just as they did Rita acted. In the crossfire, the mage dove to the floor and slid between the two to her left. The bullets missed her, Instead each of the treasure hunters were fooled into taking each other down via gunfire, all while she slipped out of the way.

Rita stood back up ad dusted herself off. Something caught Rita's eyes, on the wall: were those hieroglyphics?... They had to be, Rita had seen this style of writing before and it was far from modern. Rita glanced down the passage quickly noticed that as the tunnel continued, parts of the wall with the writings seemed to of been cut off in areas or crumbled in on itself.


She examined the floor of the passage and sitting against the wall out of view she spotted TNT pumps. A light went off in Rita's head, she knew what was going on now. Those explosions from earlier...The ones that caused all of noise and smoke and the scent of gunpowder. These treasure hunters must of been setting off these explosives. It made some sense now. The ruff man made passageways, The damaged hieroglyphics, The Gem Brothers, The Old Wizard Saints Trove.

How stupid. Did they really think it was a good idea to blow shit up until they found where the trove was, even if that meant destroying the original temple passage ways in the process?  Things would of been easier for them if they had elected to explore it first instead of set up their explosives!


Rita had dozed off again and completely forgot that she was still on the battlefield, she just barely dove out of the way of gunfire, but failed to evade the enemies next move-


Unfortunately, the wizard was caught in the bast of one of the treasure hunters explosives. She was thrown back into the wall-no through the wall and ended up crashing into a passage on the other side. The wall had crumbled in the explosions wake, opening up into another room completely. Before Rita hit the ground she slammed back first into something and knocked whatever it was over in the process.

Ouch what a headache she had...Rita failed to comprehend what had just happened in that split second. It was strange...The Shadow mage felt as if she was laying in a pile of gravel of all things, perhaps that explosion had messed up her senses in the process? She reached for the ground to push herself up to her feet, but instead her hand sunk into the pile of various stones she had landed in. Rita began to regain some sense and when she looked down, she saw that she was  not sitting in gravel but instead she was surrounded by an assortment of gems.


To Rita's convenience, When she had been thrown through the wall and into the trove itself she had knocked over a chest, spilling out all of its contents and landed into the pile of treasures. Rita never thought she would say it but she was glad that she was such a klutz sometimes. Because with it came allot of dumb luck.

This had to of been that trove thing that they were looking for. The place looked nothing like the grungy tunnel ways they had been battling out in. It was allot more spacious than she had initially imagined and filled with various chests. Rita's sight met with row upon row of tall marble pillars that rose overhead, Supporting the high risen ceiling. The room was well lit with millions of gold torches bracketed into the walls.

It hurt like a bitch but Rita made it back up to to her feet and saw that the floor was in scribbled with the same type of patterns she saw crumbling away in the tunnel minutes before. Unlike in the tunnel, the walls here were not stone, they had been bricked in with striped blocks of onyx, jasper, and jade.

They found what they were looking for now they just had to weed out the rest of her foes.

When Lance got punched in the jaw he blinked for a second before taking a deep breath and having his features disperse. He looked to see who had punched him and he smiled at them "Thanks Chikane! I owe you one..." he said as he clenched his fists and summoned his shadow sword to his side as he looked at a guy who looked like he had been hit a couple times with a determined grin as he put his sword skyward "Give me the power of your squad Shadow King! I call fourth the squad of shadows!" he called out as some shadows in the shape of people came out of the ground. Three of them had bows while the other three had swords.

He pointed his sword at the guy "Alright soldiers CHARGE!" he ordered as the soldiers placed their swords by their sides and ran at the guy. They were to fast for him though and they all hit at different angels at different times. While the guy was recovering from the slashes from the swords Lance took this time to order the archers. "Ready! Aim! Fire!" he said loudly as the archers smirked and shot a bow out each. The man was slow again and got hit with the arrows. Lance smirked at him and he closed his eyes and in one solid, fast slice of the sword the guy was on the ground. As soon as Lance cut him with the sword the army and the sword dissipated and Lance stood up straight and looked around again to see Rita had found something that had been hidden before.

He smiled "Nice job Rita... a little help with these guys would be nice. Chikane would you be kind enough to deal with the big guy over there while I deal with these smaller enemies?" he said as he clinched his fists and made a evil but determined smirk. The Determination in his eyes and smirk made the enemies step back a bit and it made Lance laugh.

Chikane chuckled and continued to dance around the man’s attacks, getting extremely happy at the irritation the crystal make hunter must have felt. He was unable to really touch her, and she knew that he was going to blow a gasket at the rate of how red his face was getting. So, in her mind the only way to rectify his anger was to…...piss him off even more! “Aw shucks hun, looks like Ah am getting the better of you. Maybe you should consider retiring sugah?” The man bristled in anger and created a crystal spear, pointing it at the fire mage.

“How dare you insult me like that! All you have been doing is dodging me!” The man sneered and Chikane could have sworn she saw one of his blood vessels begin to pop. “Why don’t you stop acting like a young child and actually fight? You know, a real fight! Get serious and stop acting like this is a god forsaken game!” The man yelled in anger. Chikane began to burst out in laughter, which made the man get even angrier. “What is so funny!” He screeched out, which made the Fairy Tail guild master shake her head and clean out her ear.

“Oh you just said you wanted me to get serious. Ah can easily accomplish that.” Suddenly, the smile on her face turned into a cold and icy neutral look. Her skin began to pale at a rapid pace, while her hair changed into a deadly and dark black. Purple flames began to flicker off her skin, dancing as if they had belonged there the entire time and had just been hidden from the view of anyone else. “Although the question is, are you worth being serious for?” Chikane’s now icy cold voice echoed into the man’s mind, making him take a step back in fear and shakily point the spear at her again.

“What are you?!?!?” He asked in fear, not knowing what he was dealing with. Chikane chuckled, a non-warm and friendly chuckle like her usual ones. No, this one was dark and devoid of anything that would spell happy times for this man.

“Me? Ah’m your worst nightmare.”

Master Noriko did a good job snapping Lance back into his senses and engaged in her own battle, one she would surely win. Meanwhile, Rita dusted herself off and turned back to Lance, reacting to his comment. "Psht. I-I'm helping!" She hissed back at Him. It was not long before greedy treasure hunters turned in her direction...Rita did just find the vault, The one that they had been looking for. She stared back and quietly slurred something, unaudible. The Fairy clambered her way back up into the passage way, Protecting the treasure trove behind her, and faced the hunters, weapons aimed at her. Along with her guild she would have to continue to fight as well it seemed...

"I hate to burst your bubble but all of this is coming with us." She said, gesturing to the loot.

They refused to back down anyway. Rita couldn't give up either, She reached for her belt and unhooked the capsule hanging from it. Looking back at the men, She clenched it tightly in her hand as illuminated in a sudden flash of light; and as the glow dissipated off the item, Rita now help her scythe firmly in her hands.The treasure hunters did not wait for her to act any further and fired their weapons.  In one unseen movement she evaded the barrage of bullets. The shells pierced the tunnel walls and Rita had vanished from her foe's sight completely.


Parrying her scythe, She appeared again just above one of the gunmen's heads with a forward flipping stomp kick. As soon as her heel planted from the stomp, Rita spun with her opposite foot and delivered a snapping spin kick at his face. Quickly, The Shadow Mage used the momentum of her kick to leap off into a somersault. Her feet successfully met the ground and she slid against the tunnel floor; kicking up sand and dust as her caramel hair swayed in her face; She dug her heel against the surface and pivoted, turning back to face the rest of the treasure hunters with a quick whirl, hands at the ready and a smirk on her face.

Lance saw that Rita had begun fighting and that Chikane had started to fight the boss of the enemy as well. He smiled "Looks like its game time..." he said as he ran up and made an uppercut with his fist then landed a right hook jab on the guy. The guy looked like he was about to cry and Lance laughed as kicked the guy into the wall and grabbed him by the throat before punching him in the gut. He let go of the guys throat and watched him slide to the floor unconscious. He smiled at him before getting shot in the back by some douche-bag. Lance reached back and touched the wound and saw that he was bleeding. He scowled as he turned around with a clenched fist "You fucking asshole I will end you..." he muttered as he dashed towards the guy who was trying to shoot at him "Right left Right Left..." Lance muttered over and over again as he danced around the bullets and was obviously frustrating the guy.

Lance tackled him to the ground and punched him in the face "Lets." he said as he punched the guy again "See" he said as he delivered another punch "How" He kept delivering punches after ever word until he finished saying "You like bleeding..." He said as he delivered a punch to the gut and stood up before kicking the body. Lance had delivered a total of eight hits to this guy and there was no way he was getting up anytime soon. He turned around to face the other guys "You guys want some to?" he asked with a scowl as he slowly started to walk towards them. He saw them with a fearful look in their eyes as he smirked "You dont have to be scared... your buddies over their are not dead they are just knocked out." he said quietly as he laughed.

Chikane cracked her neck a few times, before lazily dodging a few crystal arrows the hunter shot her way. “Oi….Ah never said Ah was ready to fight yet.” She spoke in a critical tone, scaring the crap out of the guy. He tried to fire more arrows at her, but Chikane lazily deflected them all away with her blade. “Wow you are rude. Ah think Ah’ll have to teach ya a lesson about respect. Never thought this spell would be useful for anything other than a random scare, but Ah guess even Ah can get lucky.” Chikane placed her blade on her back before stretching her arms out. Two magic circles appeared before her hands, which created two blades. One was using her burning natured flames, and the other was using her ice natured flames. She swung them about a bit before chuckling and turning back to the man with a critical eye. “Hope you can keep up. Otherwise……” Using Cold Step, Chikane sped behind the man and slashed his back twice with her short blades, causing him to yelp out in pain.

“Ah’ll just be not having any fun.” Her darker tone made the man sweat more, and he created a crystal make greatsword and swung it at Chikane. His surprise increased when he noted that she blocked it with her magic blades, and spun him around a few times. “Shocked? Well you shouldn’t be. These blades are just like any other….only with a bit of my own twist inside.” The man began to sweat even more, knowing this job got even harder with how strong the Fairy Tail guild master actually was. Chikane smirked, and punched one of the approaching hunters who thought they could catch her from behind smack dab in his face. It knocked the man out cold and quite possibly broke his nose, a few teeth and his jaw. Chikane looked at his downed body before pointing her shortblades at the leader.

“You’re next.”

Rita kicked off the ground and flew in the direction of three swordsmen at speeds of 50 mph (her speed being buffed by her Halosis boots). To slow to evade the shadow mage, one of the men fell to his knees after Rita had decided to kick him...there

She whirled around to attend to the two others but not before a blade caught her left arm. It felt almost like nothing at first...but pain seared through the wound quickly afterwards. Scarlet began to pour from the wound. Rita cringed at the sight of her own blood.

The two attempted to slash at the mage again. She maneuvered out of the way of their strikes, her right arm reaching across her torso to hold the cut. However, she was starting to run out of energy and her feet did not move as quickly beneath her as they did before. The barrage of swings and jabs suddenly came to a stop. Rita felt herself fall into a short stage of shock; she felt ...numb and it was difficult to even move, as if some one had suddenly hit pause on her. Only when Rita glanced down did she realize that one of the men's blades had pierced her stomach. She was bleeding...allot and practically standing in a red puddle. All Rita did was look back  up at the opponent, a grim expression on her face. Luckily, Rita's body was still I a bit of shock, still ignorant to the pain of that blow. Sword still her, she balled up a fist and swung a right hook, knocking the treasure hunter down and into his friend. Rita wasted no time un clutching her bloody hand, bringing it to the hilt of the weapon. She it to remove the sword from her stomach with a quick and pain spawning jerk. Rita would cry, scream or anything else but it felt as if she didn't have the air in her lungs. The weapon slid out from between her blood stained fingers and hit the ground with a clatter, echoing against the tunnel walls.

Rita's gaze fixated on disarmed hunter and his friends who were still on the ground. Weakly, she sprung her arm out towards them, palm open. The words echoed in her head for a short while 'Shadow Make:Crushing Net' A darkness weaved net restrained the three, tightening and crushing them with C rank force, only getting tighter over time. Panting with exhaustion, Rita tired to stop the bleeding by holding both the her arm and her stomach where she had messed up. her body no longer felt the numb sensation that it did before, only pain. Again, she felt her body attempt to let out a scream but her lungs felt to empty.

How could she let herself be brought to such a miserable and petty state by mere grunts? She thought she was doing okay but Noriko was right about what she said earlier... Rita was still so experienced. The mage probably wasn't even deserveant of such a strong guild. She loved everything about her Fairy Tail and desired nothing more than to meet her guilds expectations. Even if it was reckless, She couldn't leave the rest to Chikane and Lance. Rita turned and quickly caught the attention of one of the few hunters remaining, this one aimed the barrel of their gun right at her.

When Lance was done with the enemies that he had beaten down he looked around and saw that Rita was in danger. He ran at the guy who had his gun pointed at her and came up behind him. He dealt a chop to the side of his neck and sent him down to the ground before picking up the guys gun and shot the guy a few times in the knew caps so he wouldn't get back up.

He smiled at the enemies and politely held up his finger "One second please and then I promise you can get your treasure." he said with a grin as he turned towards Rita with a grimace "You OK?" he said quietly as he took off his shirt and tied it around her wound on her Torso quickly. He saw that her are as well was hurt badly so he frantically looked around for some bandages and then remembered that he had one more bandage strip in his coat pocket so he took it out and tied it around Rita's arm. He slowly got up and glanced down at Rita "Please dont fight me on this..." he muttered as he looked at the enemies who had their own little stash of treasure on them with a smile.

He started walking towards them slowly, still having the guys gun in his hand with a smile. "I said that you could get your treasure... I never promised that I would let you keep that treasure." he said with a smooth smirk as he pointed the gun at the weaker looking people and shot at them one time each. They all went down. Lance stared at the rest of the enemies with a smile "Drop the treasure..." he muttered under his breath, they did so but they all took out their guns and aimed them at him.

Chikane sighed and flipped her blades in her hands again, hearing the commotion going on around Lance and Rita’s area. While not worried, she couldn’t leave things up to chance that might end up with both of them hurt permanently. Thus she pointed her shortblades at the leader of the hunters and gave him a cold glare that would make anyone shake in their boots. “I would love to continue playing around, but I have two people dear to me in some serious trouble. So if you would kindly be a dear and, VANISH!” The flame mage used her fire flash spell, catching the crystal make user off guard before she reformed and sliced him twice with her blades. Once again she used her superior skillset to outmatch him, and began to kick him repeatedly in the sides. This kept up for a small bit, before she slashed him twice more with the shortblades. This was a mismatch that anyone could have seen coming, as he was no more of a threat to Chikane than Lance and Rita were combined. So she dispatched of him in the most efficient way she could, dominating the fight before kicking him in the chest and forcing him to hit a wall. Chikane used this moment to perform what may be one of her favorite spells as she lit her hand on fire. Running forward, she struck him hard in the face with her Flaming Superman Punch, and knocked him clean out cold. That solved the problem of what to do with the strongest one, but the rest of the group still had Lance and Rita under their barrels. Suddenly, a brainy idea formed and Chikane grabbed the downed man by his collar before whistling and gathering the attention of the few remaining hunters.

“Oh boys! You might wanna catch your trash!” Chikane hurled the man at the group, knocking them down like pins with a bowling ball. “Ha! That may be one of the greatest strikes I’ve ever gotten.” The half demon cockily stated, proving that even as a demon she still was a bit cocky.

Rita reached out and readied a spell to take care of the enemy in front of her. In the blink of an eye the hunter collapsed to the ground. She stared down, astonished and peered back where he was standing to see Lance who pried the gun away from him and took it into his own hands, delivering a few shots to the unlucky man's knees.

Completely ignoring the enemies around them, He turned to Rita. Lance asked her if she was alright "Uh...I'm fi-" She began but realized that Lance wasn't waiting for her and he had already pulled off his shirt. She was taken aback  at his next choice and stared back surprised when he began to knot it around her wound.

Rita opened her mouth to say something, likely to protest, claiming that she wasn't in need of help. His statement came first, cutting her off again. The words echoed in her head: "Please don't fight me on this..." Rita's gaze snuck up  and meet his briefly. Realizing she was being suborn, she looked back to the floor and let him finish bandaging up her arm, a guilty look in her eyes.

Lance hurried back to finish off the rest but things didn't go as great as they could of, and now  both Lance and Rita had firearms aimed at them. With the sound of a large thud, The big boss was thrown into the the cluster of his subordinates, Knocking them all down beneath him. Literally a perfect strike, Rita expected nothing less of her master.

Now that she looked them over she saw that Chikane hadn't gotten a single scratch, Lance had a few injuries but nothing compared to what Rita came out with. She wished somewhere that she wasn't the only one that blew it and took a beating. The only thing she could do to make herself look better was to pretend that she didn't hurt just like she always had. "Is it over?...Where do you think we should go from here?" She wondered, turning back to the hole cutting into the trove.

Lance was about to end them all right then and there but instead the master threw their boos into them. She had finished them off for him. He kind of smiled and glanced at Chikane "So our master does have some strength." he said with a smirk as he helped Rita up and placed her on his back. He wouldn't let her fight him on this seeing as her wounds were to much for even him to bear. He slowly glanced behind him at the girl on his back "Just stay calm this is only until we get back to the guild." he muttered as he walked into the treasure room with a slight grimace. He couldn't let people he cared about die... no more hurting, no more death, no more pain. He couldn't stand it anymore.

He looked up and saw all the treasure and put a small smile on. It was beautiful and majestic. He picked up a small object and put it into his pocket before smiling and walking out. He waited for his master before smiling and walking out of the cave. Once he was out he placed Rita on the ground and knelt down to eye level with a smile "Dont think you are weak." he told her as he placed a hand on her shoulder "I would be dead if it wernt for you." he said as he glanced at the ground. He stood up and helped Rita up as well "Can you walk?" he said as he shrugged and put her arm around her so he could keep her steady as she walked.

He had been through enough pain to suffer through a life time of darkness and suffering. He was not about to let Rita die on him or let her get anymore hurt than she already was. He would protect her until he died whether that be from old age or from him trying to protect her.

Chikane walked over to the shadow duo, and clonked Lance right in the head for his wisecrack as she took over for carrying Rita along on her shoulder. She would drag Lance along with them as well, Lea following behind as she continued to walk into the treasure vault. "While this job may have been completed, there is still much for you both to learn. Ah wasn't disappointed, but you each could have done better in your own situations. And Ah will tell you each what it was when we get back to the guild. For now..." Chikane smiled, her demonic form having a bit of a smaller and more confidence filled smile than her regular form. It was a bit weird to smile as a demon, but then again she wasn't exactly filled with negative thoughts like most people might assume a demon was. Instead she threw Lance towards the treasure, and set Rita down gently so she didn't hurt the girl further than she was.

"Grab something from this pile. Not too much, as Ah would rather not have the council going down my throat for you both stealing too much from the vault even after a successful job." Chikane warned at the end, her flames engulfing her entire body in a giant purple flame mode to make her even more intimidating than before. While she didn't particularly mind having to be bitched at, she would rather it be on her own terms and not because of the two shadow mages in front of her. Thinking about both of them briefly, she noted each one's flaws and their good traits too. Rita was smart, a quick thinker and more along the terms of brilliant. Her faults were that she was hot-tempered, not very strong and extremely inexperienced. Lance was quick, and innovative while being passionate about his friends. His faults were easy to note, his obvious foolishness and his over excitement being the two biggest factors. Chikane had her work cut out for her in the future, but for now she would relax at the guild when they got back.

She felt that after a job well done, she needed her own rest.
